While most people react emotionally to headlines… he's spent a lifetime studying what happens underneath the headlines. Our guest today is one of the most respected voices in precious metals… Founder of American Gold Exchange… former President of the Professional Numismatists Guild… and someone who has literally worked with Homeland Security and the Secret Service fighting counterfeit bullion. But today is not just about gold. It's about wisdom. Timing. Human behavior. Fear. Freedom. And what smart people are quietly doing with their money while everyone else is distracted. This is going to be fascinating, eye-opening, and probably a little surprising. Please welcome the legendary Dana Samuelson. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Episode 4 propels us into a chaotic twelve-year period from 1937 to 1949, where the Noss family's dream of extracting the Victoria Peak treasure begins to violently unravel. Based entirely on the exhaustive, decades-long research of investigative author John Clarence (the pen name of Jack Staley), this episode details how the formidable obstacles of World War II, a sprawling military expansion, and Milton "Doc" Noss's own personal demons collided to seal the mountain's riches tighter than a government vault.Desperate for capital following the devastating 1939 shaft collapse, Doc formed the Cheyenne Mining Company, unknowingly appointing a venomous Secret Service informant named Merl Horesman to his inner circle. Matters worsened in November 1940 when a second reckless dynamite charge triggered a massive landslide, completely entombing the gold. As the Noss workforce marched off to fight in WWII, the U.S. Army swallowed up the desolate Hembrillo Basin to create the White Sands Proving Ground. In a truly surreal moment of history, Doc and Ova Noss found themselves barred from their own claim by soldiers just in time to witness the Trinity atomic blast on July 16, 1945—literally standing as spectators at the dawn of the nuclear age while their treasure slipped into military hands.Fearing imminent government confiscation, a deeply paranoid Doc scattered 110 gold bars—weighing roughly 4,000 pounds—across over a dozen secret desert caches. Drifting and desperate, he partnered with a Texas businessman named Charlie Ryan in late 1948. Together, they concocted an elaborate scheme to smuggle the bullion into Old Mexico aboard a surplus DC-3 aircraft, even clearing a secret runway under the guise of a lead and silver mining operation. But the joint venture quickly turned lethal when Doc overheard Ryan plotting to double-cross him and fly the fortune out alone.Tune in to hear how this treacherous web of betrayal set the stage for a frantic, midnight race to dig up and re-hide the gold, leading Doc directly toward a deadly confrontation. And remember, if you want to read the definitive account of this incredible saga, you can secure a rare, signed copy of John Clarence's Gold House trilogy by contacting Jeff Crudele directly at podcastjfk@gmail.com.
Episode 7 picks up in the immediate, chaotic aftermath of Milton "Doc" Noss's tragic murder on March 5, 1949. Based entirely on the exhaustive, decades-long research of investigative author John Clarence (the pen name of Jack Staley), this episode shifts the focus to his steadfast wife, Ova Noss, who is left to face a bitter, multi-front war for the Victoria Peak treasure. While Doc's double-crossing killer managed to walk free despite the testimony of five eyewitnesses, Ova soon found herself staring down an even more formidable nemesis: the United States government. Before she could even properly grieve, Ova was plunged into a vicious probate battle. The legal proceedings revealed a shocking secret: Doc had covertly annulled their marriage in an Arkansas court in 1945 and married another woman named Violet. Navigating this heartbreaking personal betrayal, Ova made a brilliant legal pivot on the advice of her attorneys, asserting her rights not merely as a widow, but as the legal co-discoverer of the 1937 treasure. Meanwhile, the probate inventory exposed the terrifying reach of federal authorities, listing seized maps, documents, and dozens of gold bars that had already been confiscated by the Secret Service and the Denver Mint.Refusing to surrender her claim, Ova doubled down on the physical extraction of the gold. She hired contractors to carve a drivable road up the rugged mountain and engineered a new "lower Noss shaft" to bypass the catastrophic 1939 cave-in. But as she inched closer to regaining access to the fabled treasure rooms, the U.S. Army's presence at the White Sands Proving Ground morphed into a hostile occupation. Under the command of Brigadier General George Eddy, the military initiated condemnation proceedings, dismissed Ova's valid state permits, and explicitly threatened Ova and her daughter that they would be "shot on sight" if they returned to the peak.Surrounded by treacherous former partners conspiring to steal her lease and a military apparatus determined to lock her out of her own fortune, Ova stood as a lone David against an impossible Goliath. Tune in to hear how this resilient woman fought to keep her family's massive discovery alive in the face of insurmountable corruption. And remember, if you want to read the definitive account of this incredible saga, you can secure a rare, signed copy of John Clarence's Gold House trilogy by contacting Jeff Crudele directly at podcastjfk@gmail.com.
Following the monumental discovery detailed in our last episode, Episode 3 plunges deep into the treacherous caverns of Victoria Peak. Based entirely on the exhaustive, decades-long research of investigative author John Clarence (the pen name of Jack Staley), this episode chronicles the perilous efforts of Milton "Doc" and Ova Noss to extract their newfound fortune—and the intense paranoia that soon consumed them.Navigating broken ancient ladders and toxic, blistering bat guano, Doc slowly retrieved the first pieces of the horde in the spring of 1938. What he found was staggering: crude gold "cactus" bars piled like cordwood, a gold crown, ancient artifacts, and the chilling remains of chained human skeletons. But with unimaginable wealth came immediate danger. Rumors of the discovery triggered kidnapping threats that forced the family to temporarily flee to Gallup, New Mexico. Doc's extreme caution reached a fever pitch, fueled by the trauma of a prior kidnapping where his captors had savagely burned the bottoms of his feet attempting to extract the location of another gold cache. The situation turned catastrophic in 1939 with two devastating blows. In August, a hired engineer set off an excessive dynamite charge, causing a massive landslide that sealed the main treasure shaft under tons of rock. Desperate for capital to clear the debris, Doc took a massive gamble in the fall of 1939 by taking four or five gold bars to the Denver Mint. Though the bars were officially assayed at $97,000, the Mint confiscated the bullion and issued a "hold certificate," refusing to pay Doc unless he revealed the exact location of the remaining treasure. This brazen confiscation confirmed Doc's deepest fears that the federal government intended to seize his entire fortune. It thrust the Noss family into a perilous legal war against the Gold Reserve Act of 1934 and drew relentless, around-the-clock surveillance from both the Secret Service and the FBI. Tune in to hear how the dream of Victoria Peak quickly devolved into a nightmare of dynamite, deception, and government overreach. And remember, if you want to read the definitive account of this incredible saga, you can secure a rare, signed copy of John Clarence's Gold House trilogy by contacting Jeff Crudele directly at podcastjfk@gmail.com

At 16, She was Addicted, Homeless, and Suicidal. Today, She Trains the FBI. | Dr. Abbie Maroño Nobody Came to Save Her What happens when a sixteen-year-old girl realizes that nobody is coming to save her? For Dr. Abbie Maroño, that realization became the turning point that changed everything. Long before she was training members of the FBI, Secret Service, Homeland Security, and Interpol, she was battling addiction, homelessness, despair, and a growing certainty that her life was headed toward tragedy. Then came a moment of reckoning. A moment where she understood that waiting for rescue was no longer an option. She would either save herself or lose herself. In this deeply personal and intellectually fascinating conversation, Dov Baron sits down with one of the world's leading experts in human behavior to explore the forces that shape influence, trust, belonging, shame, trauma, resilience, and personal transformation. Together they unpack why people make decisions about us before we've finished speaking, how social engineering really works, why belonging may be humanity's deepest psychological need, and why healing is not a destination but a lifelong process. This is not a conversation about becoming perfect. It's a conversation about becoming conscious. In This Episode • How people form impressions before logic enters the conversation • The science behind influence and persuasion • What social engineering really is • Why belonging drives so much human behavior • The hidden power of shame • Healthy shame versus toxic shame • Addiction, trauma, and recovery • Why success doesn't automatically heal emotional wounds • How childhood experiences continue shaping adulthood • What the world's top security agencies understand about trust • Why healing is a lifelong journey Website:https://www.abbiemarono.com Instagram: @drabbieofficial LinkedIn: Dr. Abbie Maroño Memorable Quotes "Nobody was coming." Today's Headlines: The Obama Presidential Center officially opened on the South Side of Chicago yesterday — a 19-acre campus with a museum, library, gardens, and a sledding hill — on Juneteenth, the same day Trump signed a worse version of Obama's Iran deal at Versailles, which is the kind of historic irony that writes itself. The Knicks held their ticker tape parade in downtown Manhattan to celebrate their first NBA championship in 53 years, Zohran Mamdani gave them the keys to the city, and Knicks owner James Dolan used his remarks to shade the mayor without naming him. JD Vance spent yesterday claiming Trump would rank at the top of an IQ test against all 45 previous presidents and telling Israel to "wake up and smell the reality" that Trump is their only ally left in the world, which is both a threat and an accurate description of what Trump's Iran deal accomplished. Ukraine hit a major Moscow oil refinery for the second time this week in one of its largest drone attacks of the war, with Zelensky saying the goal is to bring Putin back to the negotiating table and announcing G7 leaders — including the US — reached "unprecedented agreement" on additional air defense support for Ukraine. On the immigration beat, a Reuters analysis found that the death rate in ICE detention centers has more than doubled under Trump, from one death per 3,848 detainees historically to one per 1,630 since January, with 50 people dying from suicides, cardiovascular events, and untreated chronic conditions. The Trump administration quietly redirected $350 million from Secret Service training and recruitment funds to the White House ballroom-bunker, bringing its total projected cost to $600 million with taxpayers footing more than half — despite Trump's promise that he and donors would cover it entirely. And the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool, less than a week after its $14 million renovation, now has the worst algae levels in five years, and the hydrogen peroxide treatment meant to fix it caused the new paint to start peeling off in sheets. Worst ex ever. The monster next door. The case nobody saw coming. That's how true crime frames these stories, as something extraordinary and shocking. But for a lot of women who have lived inside coercive control, domestic violence, emotional abuse, or post-separation abuse, these stories are anything but unbelievable. They're horrifying and devastating, but they are not unfamiliar. And that is the problem. In this episode, I want you to understand why true crime can be both validating and dangerous. True crime can be validating because, when it's done well, it helps people recognize patterns they didn't have language for. It can give families and friends a vocabulary for what they're seeing. But I also want to put a lens on the dangerous side, because when these stories get sensationalized, when they're approached as "the worst ex ever," they keep us fixed on the dramatic ending instead of the ordinary warning signs that came before it. Women can't afford for the world to only understand danger after the worst has already happened. I watch true crime all the time. Dateline, 20/20, 48 Hours, whatever limited series Netflix wants to serve me. So I'm not coming to this episode from some morally superior place. I watch it too. But I refuse to accept the idea that these cases are just shocking anomalies, because they're not. They are the most extreme outcomes of dynamics that women are navigating every single day in less visible forms. What you'll hear about in this episode: The truth about how we handle violence against women: we require catastrophe before we grant a woman any credibility How true crime, done well, becomes pattern recognition that helps women name danger before the rest of the world is willing to call it danger What Gabby Petito's story shows us about the distressed woman and the calm, composed man, and how systems keep misreading who the real aggressor is Why the "worst ex ever" phrasing is a trap The connection between domestic abuse and public violence, and why the Secret Service is starting to name it misogynistic extremism What responsible storytelling actually requires: naming the patterns by educating, not sensationalizing Resources & Links: Registration is now open for the Unbreakable Retreat!Kate Anthony's Complete Parenting Plan Focused Strategy Sessions with Kate The Divorce Survival Guide Resource BundlePhoenix Rising: A Divorce Empowerment CollectiveKate on InstagramKate on FacebookKate's Substack Newsletter: Divorce Coaching Dispatch The Divorce Survival Guide Podcast Episodes are also available YouTube! Today's Headlines: Kash Patel allegedly authorized a taxpayer-funded slush fund to pay loyal FBI agents roughly $40,000 each — over a million dollars total — which Democratic congressman Jamie Raskin described as either corrupt cash payments to friends or hush money for agents who witnessed his drinking, and separately, Patel blew the cover of a sealed ongoing investigation by tweeting that the FBI foiled a plot to attack the UFC fight before anyone was supposed to know about it, which the Secret Service was furious about. The plot itself involved five American citizens arrested across four states who planned a drone and gun attack on the White House cage match, motivated by hatred of "capitalist elites" and AIPAC donors. On the corruption beat, Trump's family crypto firm World Liberty Financial is reportedly about to receive a federal banking charter, creating a perfectly smooth legal route for anyone who wants to pay the president directly. Meanwhile, a study from Mike Pence's own think tank found that Trump's tariffs eliminated a million jobs and that 90% of the $265 billion in tariff revenue was paid by American importers rather than foreign countries, which is exactly what economists said would happen. At the G7 in France, Trump still won't reveal the actual terms of the Iran agreement, announced the US would pull some troops out of Europe after European leaders condemned the Iran war, and displayed some concerning physical symptoms that everyone was too polite to mention. Donald Trump's sycophantic FBI director, Kash Patel, has reportedly caused a rift between the FBI and the Secret Service for impulsively posting to social media about an investigation that was still ongoing, part of a pattern of Patel being unable to restrain himself. Are you actively feeding your mind the things that produce true joy, or is your mental diet shaping you into someone who is grumpy, despairing, and ungrateful? This week on Off Script, Neil sits down with the president of Ozark Christian College, Matt Proctor, to dive deep into a powerhouse verse that got cut from Sunday's sermon: Philippians 4:8. They discuss what it practically means to audit our mental intake and how tasting the "real thing" in Christ completely weakens the appeal of the world's counterfeits. From the compounding impact of social media algorithms and passive marketing in our homes, to finding the strength to give thanks in all circumstances rather than for them, this conversation is an urgent reminder that true joy is something we must actively fight for and cultivate daily. The Challenge This week, slow down and practice the discipline of Christian meditation. Instead of gulping down chapters of Scripture just to check off a box, take just one verse, like Philippians 4:8, and chew on it slowly all week long, asking questions of the text and allowing it to take real residence in your heart, mind, and soul. Hosts: Neil Gregory and Matt Proctor What We Discuss •How Matt unexpectedly transitioned from a local church pulpit to serving as the president of Ozark Christian College for 20 years •The joy of traveling the globe to see how a "little bitty college" in Missouri impacts millions through its alumni •How Matt manages a demanding travel schedule and a massive family of six kids and seven grandkids alongside his wife, Katie •Diving deep into Philippians 4:8 and why Matt felt guilty for having to cut this highlight verse from his Sunday sermon •The "Secret Service" approach to joy: why focusing on the real thing makes worldly counterfeits lose their flavor •A sobering historical look at how a young Adolf Hitler's isolation and toxic mental diet shaped his path toward destruction •Practical ways to practice "passive marketing" on your kids by strategically decorating your home with scripture and faith reminders •The powerful distinction in 1 Thessalonians 5 between giving thanks for your difficult circumstances versus giving thanks in them •Matt's infamous "three flat tire day" where his wife reminded him of James 1:2 right as he was grumbling on the curb •The unforgettable ministry lesson Matt learned from Raymond, a nursing home resident with MS who chose to sing "I'm so happy" every single week •Balancing holy ambition with the spiritual necessity to pause, pull back, and understand the difference between abounding and abiding About Southland Christian Church Southland is one church meeting in multiple locations across central Kentucky. What's up, fraud fighters, and welcome to Fraud Forward. In this episode, I am sitting down with Eric Shen, inspector in charge of the criminal investigations group for the United States Postal Inspection Service, to talk about something I think way too many fraud teams overlook: USPIS financial crime. When financial crime escalates, most of us immediately think FBI, Secret Service, Homeland Security, or local law enforcement. And listen, those partners matter. But the Postal Inspection Service is one of the most powerful investigative partners in financial crime investigations, especially when mail theft, check fraud, mail fraud, bank fraud, identity theft, money laundering, or organized fraud networks are part of the picture. This conversation is about more than stolen mail or missing packages. It is about how physical infrastructure still connects to modern financial institution fraud, how fraud teams can build stronger law enforcement partnerships, and why collaboration has to happen before the big case hits your desk.Because behind every fraud case is a real person. A member. A customer. A family. A business. Someone whose trust, dignity, and financial stability may have been shaken in a way they will never forget. And we, fraud fighters, have a responsibility to do something about that. What you'll hear in this episode:A practical breakdown of how USPIS financial crime investigations workWhy the United States Postal Inspection Service matters to banks, credit unions, fintechs, and payments companiesHow mail theft connects to check fraud, mail fraud, identity theft, bank fraud, and money launderingWhy physical mail still matters, even in a digital fraud environmentHow organized fraud networks use stolen mail, altered checks, social media, and other channels to scale financial crimeWhat makes a strong fraud referral to law enforcementWhy relationship building matters before major fraud investigations happenHow IAFCI and other industry networks help financial crime investigators connect the dotsWhy criminals are using social media, Telegram, and other platforms to organize fraud activityHow AI and agentic AI are changing the future of financial crime investigationsWhy human oversight still matters when we use technology to fight fraudWho should listen:Fraud fighters at banks and credit unionsCommunity bank and credit union leadersBSA, AML, fraud, and compliance teamsFintech and payments risk teamsFinancial crime investigatorsFrontline teams who see suspicious activity before anyone else doesLaw enforcement partners working fraud investigations and financial crime casesRisk leaders trying to improve referral and escalation processesAnyone responsible for fraud prevention, investigation, intelligence sharing, or victim supportThis episode is for the teams who are trying to protect people in the middle of a fraud landscape that is moving fast.
G7 leaders welcomed the deal between the United States and Iran and praised President Donald Trump for achieving a diplomatic breakthrough. In a meeting with Egyptian President El-Sisi, Trump warned Iran of the consequences if they don't get along, saying the United States would continue "shooting at them and dropping bombs on their heads." This comes as Trump vows to release the text of the deal. Results are in for primary elections in several states, including Georgia, Oklahoma, Alabama and Washington, D.C. Billionaire Rick Jackson won the Republican nomination for Georgia governor, beating Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones, who was backed by Trump. Also in Georgia, Rep. Mike Collins (R-Ga.) won his party's Senate run-off and will face Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) in November. In Oklahoma, Rep. Kevin Hern (R-Okla.) secured the Republican nomination for an open U.S. Senate seat, while Alabama Rep. Barry Moore (R-Ala.) won the Republican Senate runoff. The FBI says it has disrupted a plot to deploy drones and snipers targeting last weekend's UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House. It comes amid a string of threats against Trump and senior officials. Vice President JD Vance condemned the plot while urging people to tone down rhetoric encouraging violence. The investigation into the alleged plot is still ongoing, and the Secret Service says there are still suspects at large and that they will keep working until everyone has been identified and held accountable.

When the Hale-Bopp comet swung past Earth in 1997, thirty-nine people put on matching black shirts and brand-new Nikes, swallowed a lethal mix of barbiturates and vodka, and lay down beneath purple shrouds to die — certain their souls were about to board the alien ship they believed was hiding in the comet's tail.EPISODE BLOG PAGE (includes sources): https://weirddarkness.com/heavensgateREAD or DOWNLOAD the full transcript of this episode: https://weirddarkness.tiny.us/343j2ju2FEATURED STORIES IN THIS EPISODE: Following an anonymous tip, police enter a mansion in Rancho Santa Fe, an exclusive suburb of San Diego, California, and discover 39 victims of a mass suicide. The deceased–21 women and 18 men of varying ages–were all found lying peaceably in matching dark clothes and Nike sneakers and had no noticeable signs of blood or trauma. It was later revealed that the men and women were members of the “Heaven's Gate” religious cult, whose leaders preached that suicide would allow them to leave their bodily “containers” and enter an alien spacecraft hidden behind the Hale-Bopp comet. *** PLUS, the creepy true-crime story of two men who were caught trying to steal the body of the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. Copyright ©2026, Weird Darkness.Originally aired: November 28, 2021Weird Darkness runs from the 1997 mass suicide of the Heaven's Gate UFO cult outside San Diego to an 1876 counterfeiting gang's attempt to steal Abraham Lincoln's corpse from his tomb in Springfield, Illinois. It opens with the discovery, on March 26, 1997, of thirty-nine members of Heaven's Gate inside a rented mansion in the San Diego suburb of Rancho Santa Fe — twenty-one women and eighteen men lying beneath purple shrouds in matching black shirts and new black-and-white Nike sneakers, plastic bags over their heads, after swallowing phenobarbital and vodka. They believed the deaths would free their souls to board an alien spacecraft trailing the Hale-Bopp comet, which was making its closest approach to Earth that month. Former music professor Marshall Applewhite had started the group in 1975 with his nurse Bonnie Lu Nettles, the two of them renaming themselves Bo and Peep and later Do and Ti before persuading about twenty people in Oregon to leave their families and wait in eastern Colorado for a ship that never arrived. Applewhite preached that human bodies were disposable containers, that he was the second coming of Jesus, and that God was an alien. Nettles died in 1985, but he held the group together, and by the 1990s it had become the first well-known internet-era cult, paying its bills by building web pages under the business name Higher Source. The members watched Star Trek: The Next Generation, sewed Heaven's Gate Away Team patches onto their uniforms, severed contact with relatives through a practice Applewhite called breaking away, and submitted to a ban on sex that several of the men, Applewhite among them, enforced on themselves through castration. The episode closes with the 1876 plot to steal Abraham Lincoln's body from his tomb at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield, Illinois. A Chicago counterfeiting ring run by James "Big Jim" Kneally had lost its master engraver, Benjamin Boyd, to a ten-year term in Joliet Penitentiary, so the gang resolved to seize the president's corpse and ransom it for Boyd's freedom. On election night, November 7, 1876, gang members Terence Mullen and Jack Hughes filed through the lock and split the marble sarcophagus with an ax, unaware that the grave robber they knew as Jim Morrissey was Secret Service operative Lewis Swegles, and that Captain Patrick Tyrell's agents and Pinkerton detectives hired by Robert Lincoln were hidden elsewhere in the monument. The trap fell apart when the lawmen fired on one another in the dark and the two robbers wandered off and escaped, though both were captured on November 18 and, with grave robbery barely a crime in Illinois at the time, served only a year in Joliet. What the public would not learn for years was that custodian John C. Power and a secret brotherhood calling itself the Lincoln Guard of Honor had already dragged the five-hundred-pound coffin into a damp labyrinth beneath the monument and buried it under loose boards and dirt, leaving visitors to grieve over an empty sarcophagus. The body was shifted from hiding place to hiding place until 1901, when Robert Lincoln ordered his father's casket lowered ten feet, locked inside a steel cage, and sealed under two tons of concrete, following one last viewing in which Leon P. Hopkins, the plumber who had closed the coffin back in 1865, studied a chalk-whitened but recognizable face and soldered the lead shut for good.
Last night's UFC Freedom 250 wasn't just a historic night of fights, it was a massive, pro-America spectacle that captured the entire country's attention. From Justin Gaethje's unforgettable, flag-draped walkout to the stunning pre-fight visuals from the Oval Office, the energy was through the roof. But the real drama exploded outside the cage when Sean Strickland was dramatically escorted out of an invite-only fan event by the Secret Service after leading the crowd in impromptu chants and sparking an intense conversation about free speech in America. We break down the wild optics, and what this means for the sport and the culture.Plus, we are shifting focus to a massive shakeup on the global stage. With the Pakistani Prime Minister announcing a historic Iran-U.S. peace deal set to be signed in Switzerland this week, we tackle the big question: is this a genuine step toward peace, or are we on shaky ground? Especially as Israeli National Security Minister Ben-Gvir fires back, declaring Israel is not subject to the United States. Then, Daily Carry Podcast host Micah Richardson joins the show to give us his expert take on navigating these rapidly changing times. To wrap things up, we are serving up a healthy dose of American pride. With the 2026 World Cup officially underway, international tourists—including an army of invading Scots—are falling head over heels for the simple joys of American culture, cheap fuel, and our "conquer the day" mentality. We react to the viral clips of Europeans reminding us how great we actually have it, look at a wild meltdown from an American woman who couldn't stand patriotism, and finish with a cautionary look at a fiery city council meeting out of Hamtramck, Michigan. You don't want to miss this one—hit play and let's dive in!
A storm was perched over DC for Fight Night. And just like that, the storm went around DC as if commanded by God Himself…The UFC event at the WH was spectacular. It was like the Super Bowl of fighting, and the commercials alone were worth the price of admission. The UFC event at the White House was spectacular—Super Bowl of striking and grappling, where the commercials alone delivered more knockout value than most fight cards. I read this tweet about the event:Remember when Obama joked that Donald Trump would never be President and Trump hit back by strategically dismantling the entire Democratic Party over a 10 year period culminating with a UFC Fighter announcing that Michele Obama is a man.And how about that Marine Corps BAND! Super Bowl of elbows and egos, where even the commercials could knock you out. And that Marine Corps Band? They didn't just play—they dropped the national anthem like it owed them money. And they played all the music, and truly shocked me with how good they were.I won't spend a lot of time on this, but I will say that watching fighters showcase their abilities and sportsmanship was something to behold. It was a toxic masculinity extravaganza. And every one of the fighters thanked President Trump for the event.I felt like it was Roman times without all the death and sex.Shout out to the new Secret Service too. Not one single “mysterious” incident where Democrats could try their annual tradition. Smooth, professional, and apparently allergic to letting history rhyme. Refreshing.Speaking of Leftists, let's take a breath and examine the exquisite contradictions of the modern Left. Patrick K. O'Donnell explores the 1864 Dahlgren Raid, a failed Union "decapitation raid" intended to burn Richmondand assassinate Jefferson Davis. In response, the Confederacy intensified its Secret Service operations, employing spies, coded telegraphy, and influence campaigns to undermine Lincoln's 1864 re-election. They funded Northern "Copperhead" editors to promote peace while John Singleton Mosby's rangers disrupted Union logistics. This era also featured author Herman Melville, who embedded with Union cavalry to document the terrifying reality of fighting Mosby's elusive, pistol-wielding irregulars who dominated the headlines of Northern Virginia. And as I said earlier, the modern Left is deranged and dangerous because the ideology creates madness. When you live a lie long enough, reality becomes the enemy. And if reality becomes the enemy, eventually the people telling the truth become targets.Communication is the key. I know that sounds trite, but it is a fact. If you can't communicate with somebody, if you can't let them speak openly without judgment or punishment, the relationship won't survive. And that is what should give people hope: the Left cannot communicate anymore. It can chant. It can accuse. It can cancel. It can threaten. It can scream into a camera like the Constitution personally stole its bicycle. But it cannot persuade. And now we are hearing disturbing details surrounding the man who tried to kill President Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania.Source to review: https://x.com/ShaneCashman/status/2063345495351734696There is nothing weird, apparently, about Thomas Matthew Crooks emailing a deputy from Butler before the assassination attempt.Nothing weird about him practicing at the same range used by Homeland Security.Nothing weird about local police and Secret Service spotting him with a rangefinder, photographing him, texting about him for over an hour, and still letting him climb onto a roof with a rifle.Nothing weird about the Secret Service not flying drones that day, while Crooks was.Nothing weird about his body being cremated ten days later before Congress could examine it.At some point, the official story doesn't even have to be false to be insulting.Because the pile of coincidences gets so tall it needs aircraft lights. It's one thing to watch judges thwart President Trump's policy agenda. It is another thing to watch them do it with the subtlety of a brass band falling down a staircase. So what if the president's immigration policy works? Since when has success stopped a Leftist judge from interfering?Source to review: https://x.com/C_3C_3/status/2063055778261373344That is what happened with Judge John McConnell, who ordered the Trump administration to restart asylum and immigration processing tied to 39 countries.A federal judge blocked a Trump immigration policy affecting people from those countries, including applications for asylum, work permits, green cards, and citizenship processing. And yes, critics point to McConnell's political donation history. If a judge has a long record of political giving and then produces rulings that read like the Democratic Party's emergency brake, Americans are allowed to ask questions. This is the real problem.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

"Effective communication is almost like effective podcasting." "Entrepreneurs, you don't need to just look at where this person (potential hire) went to school or where they did this. You need to look at who's grinding. Who has not just the skills, but the attributes, those hardworking attributes that make them want to get better every single day." "If you want to hire a team for 25 years, you don't want them where they're at when you hire them on day one. You want them based on the potential of where they're going to be 25 years from now." "If you think somebody has the potential to take over something that you're doing, something you know somebody else could be doing, and when they get 60–65% as good as you, set them free. Let them go. Let them do it." "You give me a bad script and you deliver it well, it's going to be received better than vice versa." "One little tidbit to communication is this: you have to watch yourself without listening, so you can see your body language. And you have to listen to yourself without the video on. If you do those two things, you'll definitely level up your ability to communicate." "Communication is a skill like any other, and if you don't work at it, it will diminish." "They think that by saying, 'Me too,' they're building rapport with you. No, they're doing the exact opposite. They're showing they're not letting that person get that dopamine pumped out of their body and get those neurochemical soups going in the right way." "Secrets are shared with whispers, not with yells." In this episode of Zone 7, Sheryl McCollum is joined by former U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service special agent Ed Newcomer and retired Idaho Fish and Game conservation officer Tony Latham for a look at the danger, isolation, and critical work of wildlife law enforcement. Evan Roberts and Tiki Barber shift from the officiating controversy to the scene inside Madison Square Garden, where President Donald Trump's appearance at Game 3 created extra security, long lines, and a loud reaction from the crowd. Evan explains what he saw in the building, why the response was hard to spin, and how social media quickly turned his video into a political debate. The conversation expands into whether sitting presidents should attend major sporting events when their presence causes chaos for fans, along with a detour into Secret Service rules and presidential driving. The guys also dive into another round of Posted and Toasted, featuring old tweets about Knicks Spurs, the Mets needing to handle the Cardinals, and Evan's take on OG Anunoby becoming exactly what the Knicks once hoped RJ Barrett would be.
President Trump is likely not pleased at having to relive a booing crowd over and over again as the video replays today. He attended Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden last night and became the first sitting U.S. president at an NBA Finals game. When the arena showed him on the jumbo screens during the national anthem as he gave a military salute, he was met with loud boos from the crowd; the jeers subsided when the U.S. flag appeared and fans cheered the Knicks. Trump watched from Knicks owner James Dolan's suite with guests including his granddaughter Kai, adviser Boris Epshteyn, and several Cabinet officials. His visit prompted heavy Secret Service and NYPD security, perimeter fencing, TSA-style screenings and an early-arrival recommendation for fansr. The outside watch party had to be moved and those fans also joined in the booing of Trump. After the game, Trump said the reaction was “mostly cheers.”We will discuss the fan reaction and whether it's a trivial moment at a sporting event or whether it may be tied deeper to growing discontent with Trump‘s job performance.Pulitzer Prize winning author and investigative journalist David Cay Johnston will join the conversation to talk about what late night host Jimmy Kimmel called the“Trumper Tantrum” over the weekend on NBC's Meet the Press and what appears to be a Trump‘s midterm election strategy… he's back to accusing states of rigging elections.Coachella Valley Coffee Roast Master Cliff Young will stop through to let us know what he's been up to and to bring us word of new additions, and perhap special deals on the very best coffees and teas.
