Send us a text Dr. Robert Jackson tackles the controversial yet increasingly compelling topic of repurposed drugs in cancer treatment, sharing remarkable patient stories that challenge conventional medical thinking.Meet the bladder cancer patient given no hope by her oncologist who achieved complete remission through mistletoe injections. Learn about Joe Tippin, the sole survivor in a lung cancer study who credits mebendazole—an inexpensive anti-parasitic medication—for his recovery. Perhaps most striking is the case of a terminal gallbladder cancer patient told to "get his affairs in order" who showed no evidence of disease after taking ivermectin, mebendazole, and vitamin D3.While acknowledging the limitations of anecdotal evidence, Dr. Jackson examines emerging clinical data supporting these approaches. The CUSP9 study using nine repurposed drugs showed 30% of glioblastoma patients disease-free after four years—dramatically better than the 5-10% typical with standard care. The METRICS study achieved 64% two-year survival in advanced glioblastoma using four common medications repurposed for cancer treatment.Dr. Jackson doesn't just talk the talk. When facing a suspected kidney cancer diagnosis himself, he immediately started taking mebendazole while awaiting surgery. "What have you got to lose?" he asks, noting these medications provide an affordable margin of safety alongside conventional treatments. Are pharmaceutical companies avoiding research into these approaches because there's no profit in off-patent medications? Why aren't more oncologists exploring these options? Listen now to this thought-provoking episode that might just change how you think about cancer treatment options.Support the showhttps://www.jacksonfamilyministry.comhttps://bobslone.com/home/podcast-production/

Cancer is among the most common and feared diseases in the modern world. Dr. Selwyn Vickers—president and CEO of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center—joins host Mark Labberton to discuss how precision oncology, data, and faith are transforming cancer treatment. A distinguished cancer surgeon and pancreatic cancer researcher, Vickers explains how groundbreaking advances in genomics, immunotherapy, and AI are transforming once-lethal diagnoses into survivable and even chronic conditions. Together, they explore not only the cutting-edge science of cancer care but also the spiritual, emotional, and social dimensions that affect every patient and caregiver. Resonating with themes of suffering, hope, and resurrection, this conversation offers clarity, compassion, and courage for all who are affected by cancer—from those newly diagnosed, to medical professionals, to grieving families and curious listeners. Through interactive exercises and proven NLP methods, Snyder teaches how to overcome blocks like procrastination, eliminate negative thoughts and feelings, and program your mind for maximum results. Learn to attract good people into your life, make more money effortlessly, and take control of your destiny! Standout Quotes: “You are not the way you are because of the things that happened to you. You are the way you are because of the way you recorded the things that happened to you.” – Dr. David Snyder “If you can point to where you feel it, you can change it.” – Dr. David Snyder “You are not broken, there is nothing wrong with you. The feelings in your body, the stuff that keeps coming up does not mean you're broken.” – Dr. David Snyder “You are the God or Goddess of your reality. You are the king or queen of your universe. And you have absolutely every right and privilege and authority to make any change that you want.” – Dr. David Snyder “Everything you experience is a product of a code that your nervous system wrote and is running? Well, if your system wrote the code, it can rewrite the code.” – Dr. David Snyder “There's literal magic inside of you waiting to be set free. Will you accept it? Will you embrace it? Will you go for it?” – Dr. David Snyder Key Takeaways: Practice the "frame game" technique daily to rapidly evolve your emotions, thoughts, and destiny through self-directed neuroplasticity. Use somatic techniques like pointing to feelings in your body and reframing pictures to methodically resolve issues, allowing deeper layers of related problems to surface for transformation. Ask yourself "What is the root cause behind this chronic issue in my life?" and seek to address psycho-emotional sources through techniques like regression, rather than just treating surface symptoms. She holds a PhD in Medicine from the Medizinische Universität Graz (Austria) and previously worked at hospitals in Spain and Switzerland before starting Recolony in 2022. In the past few years, scientists have been made aware of the extent to which our gut microbiome influences our health. Considering we've been evolving alongside these bacterias for thousands upon thousands of years, it can be safely said that we've developed a symbiotic bond: the state of our microbiome influences our immune system and can even cause (or prevent) certain inflammatory diseases. Recolony's team took this research one step further when they found a deficiency in a certain type of bacteria in colorectal cancer patients, and hypothesized whether providing patients with the missing bacteria could help treat their disease. Animal tests showed that this specific bacteria can not only prevent tumors but also treat them once they are already in existence, and that it works not only with colorectal cancer but other sorts of cancers as well, regardless of the fact that the bacteria is in the gut and the tumor may be somewhere completely different in the body. This is because the bacteria produces molecules which travel through the bloodstream and activate an immune response to fight the tumors. Recolony is a spin-off company from the University of Zurich that started as a research project in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University Hospital Zurich. So far the team has received CHF160K in grant money. Don't forget to give us a follow on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Linkedin, so you can always stay up to date with our latest initiatives. Dr Gábor Somlyai graduated as a biologist from the University of Szeged in 1982. Between 1982 and 1990 he worked for the Department of Plant Pathology, Plant Protection Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He had a scholarship from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences while studying for his PhD and defended his thesis in molecular biology in 1988. Dr Somlyai spent six months at the Georg-August University in Göttingen on a DFG scholarship after receiving his Ph.D. He followed that with a postdoctoral fellowship in the field of genetic engineering and gene mapping at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. In the wake of the Hungarian, Nobel-prize winning scientist Albert Szent-Györgyi – who said that the true cause of cancer should be looked for at the sub-molecular level – Gábor began his examining the biological importance of naturally occurring deuterium as a senior research fellow at the Hungarian Institute of Oncology in 1990. In 1993 Gabor established HYD Ltd. for Research and Development (now HYD LLC. for Cancer Research and Drug Development) to carry out cancer research and drug development based on the proprietary procedure called deuterium depletion. Dr Somlyai served as the scientific director of HYD Ltd. between 1993 and 1997 before becoming the CEO of the company. In 2012 he also began serving as the General Director of HYD's parent company, HYD Pharma Inc. His book, Defeating Cancer!, was published in Hungary in 2000. It has since been published in Romania, Japan, China, South Korea and the U.S.A. Gábor is a holder of numerous international patents, an author of more than 40 scientific publications, and a highly sought-after speaker at international conferences. Let's dive into some more research on this week's solosode of The Red Light Report. I cover two pieces of research more thoroughly this week, as both of the topics are quite interesting and the information within each article contains valuable red light therapy principles that everyone can apply to their RLT treatments and strategies. The first article deals with the side effects of cancer treatments (i.e. radiotherapy), while the second article is about using phototherapy for improving cognition in those dealing with dementia.
