The title is a joke.....Probably.https://www.patreon.com/isyanderandkoda You already know how to please the Machine Gods at this point so thank you so much. And make your voices heard for which faction you would like to see next! -Isyander Everything below is for the omnissiah. But like, you can read it if you want. Just a synopsis of the video you're watching. The Raven Guard, known as the XIX Legion during the Great Crusade, epitomizes guerilla warfare and covert operations under the leadership of their enigmatic Primarch, Corvus Corax. Originating from the moon Deliverance (originally Lycaeus), they have been stalwart defenders of the Imperium of Man. The Legion's size was relatively small, with a force of 80,000 Astartes. Despite their numbers, they were formidable, employing tactics of mass sabotage, rapid strikes, and expert covert operations, honed to perfection during Corax's revolution against the Tech Guilds of Kiavahr.Corax's upbringing on Deliverance shaped the Raven Guard's future. His revolutionary actions against the oppressive Tech Guilds of Kiavahr were marked by no mercy for the captors and a brutal, short war. His cunning in battle led to the renaming of Lycaeus to Deliverance, symbolizing the liberation from slavery. The dark tower that once held the oppressors became the Raven Guard's fortress, named the Ravenspire, and the source of their future strength during the Great Crusade. The Horus Heresy brought devastation to the Raven Guard. During the infamous Drop Site Massacre on Isstvan V, the Legion's numbers were decimated from 80,000 to a mere 3,000 battle-hardened veterans, a testament to the treachery and brutality of the war. The betrayal by fellow legions marked a dark chapter in the Raven Guard's history, forcing Corax and his warriors to fight in conditions starkly contrary to their preferred tactics of stealth and surprise.Amidst the chaos, the Raptors, an elite group within the Legion, emerged as a meld of regular Astartes and Primarch DNA discovered by Corax on Terra. These warriors were stronger, faster, and tougher than their counterparts, playing a pivotal role in the battles that followed. Despite the mutations and the subsequent internal conflict that nearly tore them apart, the Raptors were given full honors and continued to fight valiantly for the Legion. In the aftermath of the Heresy, the Raven Guard continued to uphold their legacy, participating in key battles across the galaxy. Their engagements, such as the Siege of Baal, the Battle of Arissak, and confrontations against formidable foes like the Death Guard and Emperor's Children, underscore their unwavering dedication to the Imperium.Throughout their history, the Raven Guard has remained a symbol of resilience and adaptability, their very essence shaped by the trials of their Primarch and the relentless battles they have endured. Their story is not just one of warfare but also of survival and undying loyalty to their ideals and the Imperium of Man.TIMESTAMPS —— 0:00:00 Intro0:00:11 Poll Announcement0:01:26 A note on their Stealth0:02:51 The Return of the G.O.A.T.0:10:21 Corax's Upbringing0:18:57 The Raven Guard Before Corax0:28:20 The Raven Guard's Tactics0:40:52 The biggest problem constantly plagueing the Raven Guard0:47:54 Closing Thoughts—————————— TAGSRaven Guard, Corvus Corax, Warhammer 40K, Deliverance, Kiavahr, Great Crusade, Horus Heresy, Istvaan V, Drop Site Massacre, Raptors, Primarch DNA, Guerrilla Warfare, Covert Operations, Imperium of Man, Battles of the Raven Guard.————————————Opinions expressed in this video are solely those of Isyander & Koda and in no way reflect the views or opinions of Games Workshop Ltd.Artwork throughout thSupport the show

This was a treat and so much fun to talk to Norri who is in the simplist terms the drummer for the german neo-medieval-meets-metal ensemble Corvus Corax!! Since 1989, Corvus Corax has contributed significantly to the development medieval music. With mystical and myth-enshrouded albums like Mille Anni Passi Sunt, Corvus Corax awakened old gods and legends, while records like Sverker and Gimlie invoke Celtic and Nordic traditions and present the Viking culture in modern times. We spoke to Norri about life during covid and learned that he has spent much of his time teaching his children since schools are closed. We spoke of commercial success and near success like being chosen for Game of Thrones theme song only for the the show to go with someone else but they found some success in video game market with games like Dragon Age. We also disscussed insperation, research, importance of staying authentic and their operatic performance of CARMINA BURANA. We also learned alot about Norri himself like when he started playin instruments, who got him into metal, growing up in Germany and how he knows Sami Yli Sirniö of the great German metal band Kreator! We really hope everyone enjoys this and thanks for listening! https://www.corvuscorax.de https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKgMDjXi0_3fcL8HxBkJTtw https://www.facebook.com/CorvusCoraxBand/ --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/house-of-noise/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/house-of-noise/support

A week late, but hopefully still not short of laughs. Ben and David discuss episode 10 from Series 10 of Doctor Who. Ben found "The Eaters of Light" a bit damp on first watch and talks about the Welsh landscape standing in for Scotland. While David appreciates Nardole's traveling with popcorn to TARDIS life and chuckles about Bill's deep cut to "The Goon Show". Opening music is excerpted from "Scotus" by Corvus Corax from their 2006 album "Venus Vina Musica". Closing music is an excerpt from "The Terror of the Zygons" soundtrack composed by Geoffrey Burgon.
After a brief TWIH hiatus, we return with our guest Sharon Knight, a pagan musician who does both solo work and plays as a group with her partner Winter in Pandemonaeon. We talk about the art of performing, the magickal experience of being on stage, the future and past of pagan music, and how music influences her work, both spiritually and professionally. We also talk about her latest album and the work that goes into writing, recording, and making videos for an album. Note: Please excuse the audio weirdness. We were having a bad Skype day. Festival Favorites Sharon Knight and Winter are internationally touring musicians in the mythic-Celtic vein. Their penchant for combining fierce and gutsy bravado with ethereal beauty, a hearty dose of fantastical lyrics, and an obvious love of storytelling has inspired their own style, “Neofolk Romantique”. This often sounds less Celtic and more “Folktales that ran away with the Faeries at the turn of the century and took cover in an old trunk bound for the circus, which was then commandeered by pirates.” This suits them fine. They have shared stages with mythic music favorites such as Faun, Omnia, Corvus Corax, SJ Tucker, Tricky Pixie, Heather Dale, Wendy Rule, Stellamara, and many more. They have recently completed a 100% crowd-funded CD and music video featuring several of these artists, called Portals, which they are touring to support now. The picture below is exactly how I remember him; the day I first plowed dreamy-eyed but determinedly through the VA Renaissance fair, to find out where that -enchanting- music was coming from. And ever since, I have been positively captivated by his incredible voice, his passionate, unique creations, and his lyrical style. To my knowledge, Mr. Phyfe was a self-taught musician, ancient & medieval linguist and surely, a scholar, and for that, he blows me away even more. Sadly, he passed this year due to pancreatic cancer, but his memory, through his artistry and pure, captivating music, will live on. Thank you for your song, Mr. Phyfe. You were the first and only real bard I think I've ever met, and you inspire me to this day. ♥♥♥On a brighter note, I'd also like to give a shout-out to Madlenka, Bagoas, Mavi, Nina Amaya, and my other friends who're currently attending the Darbukastani Independence Days celebration this weekend. :D I wish I could be with you all, but my hips are shimmying in time with your music and my spirit is with y'all, wherever we each may be. :) ♥♥♥..Now, on to the music! XD (First I was having one HECK of a time w/choosing what songs should be played and where, and then we had three, count 'em, THREE power outages on the day the show was supposed to be done, so I was goin' NUTS! *lol*) But it's alll good now, and I hope you like the results. :) (Which are alll work and kid safe, btw. ^_^)For those of you who like the more traditional style of bellydance music, this show is for YOU. (Though there should be something for everyone here, thanks to the styles and artists featured. :D So even if you're a Tribal goddess or Fusion fanatic, or if ya just prefer your music to have a more modern twist, there's something in here for you, too. :)) This episode has something of a time-traveling theme, as it takes you from medieval and renaissance-inspired music from around the world, to "classical" Middle Eastern music (created in the mid-to-late 20th century), all the way up to discoteque tunes you might hear in the Middle East today. :) We've got a little Corvus Corax, some of the great Oum Kalthoum, as well as a touch of the stars, courtesy of Googoosh, Hengameh & Haifa Wehbe. :) But no matter WHAT era the music is from, I hope it -all- inspires you, uplifts you, and makes you wanna dance (even if it's just in your mind, in your car, in your office, or in front of the stove while cookin' dinner ;)). ♥Yours Forever In Song,--DJ Selchie♥☼♥
