Send us a textRemember the hesitation many felt when the internet first entered our homes? Dan Fitzpatrick, "The AI Educator," draws fascinating parallels between that pivotal moment and our current relationship with artificial intelligence in education. This conversation cuts through misconceptions to reveal how AI can transform teaching without diminishing human connection.Dan's journey from classroom teacher to AI integration specialist began with a simple realization: technology could free educators from administrative burdens. When ChatGPT launched in November 2022, he immediately saw its potential to eliminate those unpaid weekend workdays that consume teachers' personal lives. "All that time I spent upstairs in the box room in our house, not seeing family, not seeing friends... I just thought I need to put things out there," he recalls. The skepticism around AI in education often mirrors concerns from previous technological shifts. Dan shares an illuminating strategy from his presentations where he reveals historical technology fears that sound remarkably similar to modern anxieties. Yet despite this perspective, integration challenges remain formidable. Many schools still treat technology as optional rather than fundamental, creating problematic gaps between tech-savvy and tech-resistant classrooms.Dan's four-step transformation blueprint from his book "Infinite Education" – scope, shape, influence, and alignment – provides a practical framework for meaningful change. He emphasizes that most organizations master the first two steps but fail at the crucial implementation phase: "It's a bit like being able to draw a car and being able to drive a car... very different skills."From experimental schools claiming dramatic efficiency improvements to everyday classrooms finding small wins through differentiation tools, the path forward requires balance and patience. As Dan insightfully notes, "AI is a context, not a subject" – it belongs in every classroom, not just computer science.Join this illuminating conversation to discover how educators can navigate AI's integration challenges while preparing students for a future where this technology is as fundamental as electricity. In this episode, Dan dives into the real edge that separates pros from amateurs: tracking. Whether it's your fitness, sleep, screen time—or your trades—if you don't measure it, you can't improve it. Dan breaks down how consistent tracking leads to better performance, the concept of trading expectancy, and why journaling your wins and your mistakes is the fastest way to real growth. He also explains a common and destructive habit: averaging down, and why it's like giving a raise to your worst employee. This is your call to get serious about trading—like a professional, not a gambler. What You'll Learn: Why journaling and data tracking are essential for trading success The true meaning of trading expectancy and how to use it Why small losses are part of the game—and how to make them count Why doubling down on losers is the fastest way to blow up your account The difference between being a trader and a gunslinger Why TradeTrak exists (and how it eliminates your excuses) Want more trading insights? In this episode, Dan draws powerful lessons from an unexpected place—the NFL Draft. While watching with a former pro player, Dan realized that the same five traits NFL teams seek in players—performance under pressure, work ethic, adaptability, humility, and durability—are exactly what separate great traders from the rest. Dan dives deep into how you can build these traits into your trading process, shares why repetition is the real secret to success, and why discipline and boring habits beat chasing dopamine hits every single time. He wraps up with a reminder that preparation beats prediction every day of the week—and how you can truly stay in the game for the long haul. What You'll Learn: Why high-pressure environments reveal your true trading character How boring, consistent work is the foundation for profitable trading Why adaptability matters more than predictions How humility can save your account (and your sanity) The mindset shift to think in trading series rather than one-off trades Why preparation, not prediction, is the trader's real edge Key Takeaways: Trading is a game of consistency, humility, and preparation. Boredom = Profit when it's the result of a great process. Good traders react to the market, they don't predict it. Want more trading insights? Every trader makes mistakes, but the best ones learn from them. In this episode, Dan Fitzpatrick breaks down why discipline and risk management are the real keys to long-term success. From avoiding account-killing losses to knowing when to adapt your strategy, this session will change how you think about trading. Key Takeaways: Big Losses Are Optional – Every trader takes losses, but the pros keep them small. One mistake can wipe out months of gains, don't let it be you. Your Strategy Isn't Failing, You Are – If your system isn't working, stop using it. Adapting to the market is a trader's real edge. The “Feeling” That Ruins Traders – The stock looks like it's going to the moon? That's exactly when you should be most cautious. Rules Keep You in the Game – Guardrails exist for a reason. The only way to guarantee a blowup is to break them. Never Trade Your Lifestyle – If your trading affects your quality of life, you're doing it wrong. Smart traders never risk what they can't afford to lose. Watch the full breakdown and learn how to trade smarter starting today!
When breadth is poor and fewer sectors are working, trading is in fact … easier? Dan Fitzpatrick, founder of Stock Market Mentor, discusses why the market is still trying to figure out where to go next — and how you can get ahead of the crowd by taking a step back. Losses are inevitable in trading—but how you handle them determines your success. In this episode, Dan Fitzpatrick breaks down why accepting and managing losses is the key to long-term profitability and how discipline separates great traders from those who blow up their accounts. Key Takeaways: Losses Are Part of the Game – The best traders don't avoid losses; they manage them effectively. Small Losses Prevent Big Disasters – Every big loss starts as a small one—cut it early, and you stay in control. The “Get My Money Back” Trap – Holding onto a losing position hoping for a comeback? That's a recipe for disaster. Follow Your Rules, No Exceptions – Your trading rules exist to keep you out of trouble—stick to them. Don't Be a Stubborn Bull – Refusing to sell as a stock drops? You're only marking the bottom for smarter traders. You Can Always Get Back In – Selling doesn't mean you can't re-enter a better trade later. Small losses free up capital for better opportunities. Watch the full breakdown and take control of your trading mindset today!

In this episode, I had the privilege of continuing my conversation with Dan Fitzpatrick, an expert in AI in education. As leaders in education, we understand the importance of staying ahead of the curve and preparing our students for the future. Dan shares valuable insights on how we can embrace innovation, strategically plan for the future, and navigate the disruptive forces of technology, specifically AI.In this episode, Dan emphasizes the need for leaders to take action and not wait for the future to unfold on its own. He introduces the concept of the three boxes, where Box One represents the current education system, and Box Three focuses on future innovations that have the potential to disrupt the current system. While Box One innovation aims to optimize the current system, Dan highlights the importance of nonlinear innovation in Box Three, which involves research, experimentation, and scaling of new ideas. He shares a seven-step strategy for easing into innovation and emphasizes the value of collaboration in the AI era.Throughout the episode, Dan Fitzpatrick provides valuable insights and practical advice for leaders in education. Here are some key quotes from our conversation:1. "Leaders should not wait too long to embrace innovation. It's about finding that balance between optimizing the current system and exploring future innovations."2. "The education system needs to embrace nonlinear innovation in Box Three to stay relevant and prepare students for the future."3. "Collaboration with different sectors is key in the AI era. We must work together to leverage the potential benefits of technology in education."4. "The AI Classroom, my book, offers frameworks, models, and prompts for educators to effectively communicate with AI and integrate it into their lesson planning."5. "Taking action and implementing nonlinear innovation is crucial to prepare students for the ambiguous future they will face."Resources mentioned- "The AI Classroom: The Ultimate Guide to Artificial Intelligence and Education" by Dan Fitzpatrick- AI Educator Facebook group- Aieducator Tools- The three-hour course on using AI technology for teachers on theaeducator.ioThank you for tuning in, and as always, if you found this episode useful, please share your experience. After the Fed's pause yesterday, combined with a “We are not done. Really, we aren't done” statement by Powell, the market is pausing just a bit to get everything sorted out. Today's episode includes a recap of my weekend at the Ohio Pharmacist Association (OPA) Annual Conference April 1-3, 2022, and brief interviews with Ohio pharmacists Emlah Tubuo, PharmD and Greg Kramp, PharmD. Disclaimer. I am an OPA Member, but I do not work for The Ohio Pharmacists Association. The opinions mentioned in this podcast episode are my own and not necessarily those of OPA. Also, I am not being compensated for any content in this podcast episode. This episode has 4 parts. In the first part, I'll give a recap from the sessions I attended: session title and speaker(s) name(s), plus two take-aways. I attended 11 sessions and earned 16 hours of CE. Ten sessions were 90 minutes long. One was only 60 minutes long. There were multiple offerings for each time slot, and it was hard to pick just one to attend. The second part is my interview with Emlah Tubuo, PharmD. The third part is my interview with Greg Kramp, PharmD. The fourth and final part of this episode will be a few stories about what went wrong back home while I was gone. If you're a parent of teenagers, you're going to groan. It has to do with my younger son missing the ACT on Saturday, April 2, and the death of the only houseplant I own. Thank you for listening to The Pharmacist's Voice Podcast Episode 143! The house did not burn down, and my husband and both kids were alive when I got home. What went wrong? My son Derrick missed the ACT because he forgot about it. My only houseplant died a horrible death by wind, rain, and cold temps. Our trash ended up in our recycling toter and the recyclables ended up in the trash toter. I left March 31, and no one flipped the calendars in the house to April. No one printed the new lunch calendar for April either. When my family went to church, no one brought the Noisy Change Offering, which is only collected the first Sunday of the month. My son had to loan my husband cash so we could contribute toward the charity of the month. My husband also forgot to pick his prescriptions up at the pharmacy on Saturday. The pharmacy is closed Sunday. Better luck next time, boys! Please laugh. I know I did. That's life, and life can be messy!

Agency Success GPS Podcast - Featuring Lee Goff - Your Marketing Agency Coach
Today I'm talking to Dan Fitzpatrick, Head of Agency Success at SPP, he helps agencies scale and productizes their business. He and Chris Williams are the founders of SPP and they have a passion for helping agencies tackle those accounting and project management issues. SPP is a software platform that basically takes care of all of your accounting from beginning to end. It is a very advanced system that is actually simple to use. It works with agencies from just getting started all the way up to a multi seven to eight-figure agency. This platform is amazing.Takeaways From This Episode:How Does SPP Help An Agency Get Started? How Does It Help More Established Agencies? What Are The Top 2 Things SPP Can Help Them Improve?Explain How SPP Platform Has The Ability To Standardize Your Product Line And Deploy Across Multiple Clients.Dan starts off with what he thinks is the most important thing when you're thinking about getting started. And, that is you probably want to concentrate on getting some sales first, to actually getting your business up and running. So often he has businesses who come to him, especially new business owners wanting to sign up but they are just not ready. They haven't really built a solid foundation of a business yet. He and I talk about getting your business going and then when they're ready give SPP a call. Dan is very honest and tells it like it is. He wants to see agencies succeed. If you want to scale a business, then you need to think about scaling the client base. That's really where I think a new business and where SPP can come in. Once that client base is established, and the sales are actually rolling in, then it becomes more apparent that you need a system in place to help you.To summarize what I heard there from Dan, if you're just getting started, get a few clients, get some money coming in the door, get some deals first, then at that point, as soon as you get those few clients it is time to start looking at systems to replicate yourself. I think it becomes pretty clear when you need these systems. It gets so complicated so quickly and that’s where something like SPP makes sense. It’s all consolidated, everything's in one place, and you're not having to deal with all of these different systems. It's all about getting that business up and running first before you start thinking about what systems you might need in place. In so many cases there’s a lot of time wasted on what we call the “non-revenue” generating work. SPP comes in and takes care of those time-wasting activities so you can spend time delivering work for your customers. And, if you are ready and wanting to build a scalable business or agency then you take my productization model and apply it to the SPP platform. Hear how putting all of this together is critical to understanding your profit margins, understanding scope creep, and keeping your clients happy and billables. It really is that simple.Dan talks about what he finds really interesting and that is the number of agencies they come across that are actually already offering a kind of a productized service. But they don't actually realize it. Having a solution like SPP’s platform helps agencies define what and how to productize their service. Now from making that initial sale to collecting information from the customer, delivering the work, reporting upselling, all of this stuff, once you start putting this into a system, it kind of takes you out of your normal, day-to-day working bubble. If you're interested in checking out SPP, they offer a 14-day free trial. They do not take in any payment details, they won't ask you for your credit card. So head over to SPP.co to check out the trial and feel free to reach out to them at any time. www.marketingagencycoach.com

How'd he find himself working for a bank in Hong Kong – without an education, and what happened??? How'd he become the go-to guy for the super-rich? What wisdom did his dad give him about water? How did bricklaying help him to get things done? What can we learn from Dan Fitzpatrick at CNBC and singing with Journey What's the importance of asking why three times? Why do people dilute their dreams? Why is passion the secret weapon? How do we delete the words fail and failure from our language? Why is it absolutely critical to learn how to break away from negative places and do something we're passionate about? What's the importance of doing pure fun? What's the definition of ugly and why is it important to do things ugly? What's the importance of a personal touch? Why is a personal connection so important? What's missing with communication today? What's a self-audit and how do we do one??? What's the chug test, and the hug test??? Why don't we want to waste a minute of our lives? What's the importance of causing on our strengths and ignoring our weaknesses? What does it mean to audit our lives? What's the importance of learning how not to spend time on things that slow you down? What's the power of small gifts? What's the importance of leading (and listening) to your stomach? This week sees a first for the show, rather than me just interviewing one guest, in this episode I’m interviewing two. I recently headed down to Pepsico’s UK offices in Reading to have a conversation with Kevin Hough, their Head of Talent Acquisition for the UK and Ireland, and Dan Fitzpatrick, Talent Acquisition Lead for PepsiCo Global Concentrate Solutions. We covered a lot of ground in our discussion and it was great to hear Kevin and Dan talk about some of the everyday realities of in house recruitment within a large corporate. In the interview we discuss: • PepsiCo’s recruiting challenges • Anticipating STEM recruitment needs • How Talent Acquisition is changing as a discipline • Is recruiting the same as marketing? • The changing skill set of the in house recruiter • Rethinking relationships with recruitment agencies • The role of technology Kevin and Dan also give us their views on the likely future for talent acquisition.
