As Tony illustrates through his own journey, embracing this mindset can lead to profound personal and professional growth. Tune in as young leaders ask questions about life, personal growth, entrepreneurship, and more! And you actually like it; you actually like messing up and getting better at it and learning from it." – Tony Frezza "Your world won't change until your mind goes first. And everyone's trying to create a future out of their past memories. And that's why your futures become more of the same." – Matt Beaudreau "All education is self-education. Once you understand that, once you get to the point where you realize wait a second I'm in control of actually learning anything I want to at any time." – Matt Beaudreau Takeaways: Embrace a positive, growth-driven mindset and welcome an infinite mindset for your personal and professional success. Concentrate on long-term growth, nurturing relationships, and fostering good habits. Be mindful of your time and prioritize what's most important to you. On today's episode we are talking about how employees' expectations of their companies have shifted, and how companies' mindsets might have to change to stay relevant.Joining us today is Chuck Hogan, Managing Partner at Your Best Life, an organization helping people to elevate finance, family, fitness and faith to maximize their Best Life through mentor strategizing, community and exclusive once in a lifetime experiences. His unique background of sales, business and relationship building gives him a rare perspective that enables him to successfully guide entrepreneurs, CEOS, and other top executives to new heights.Episode Highlights: Embrace Change and Possibility: The importance of embracing change and seeking possibilities, even when it means stepping out of your comfort zone. Staying in a confined space or routine can make one feel claustrophobic, especially for individuals who are free spirits or artists.Recognizing and Leveraging Skills: New-age leader managers are skilled at recognizing and leveraging their employees' unique talents, even if those talents aren't aligned with their passion. They encourage employees to mentor others and share their expertise.Patience and Job Satisfaction: The changing job landscape, where people switch jobs more frequently, may be due to a desire for continuous growth and a focus on self-expression.Balancing Scripted Experiences and Personality: The balance between scripted experiences in customer service and allowing employees to showcase their personalities. It emphasizes that effective communication goes beyond scripted words and involves factors like tone, energy, and intent.Rapid Technological Advancement: Technology is advancing at an unprecedented rate, causing information to become outdated quickly and changing the expectations of individuals entering the workforce.Shift in Aspirational Figures: Historical business figures like the Carnegies and Vanderbilts no longer serve as the primary role models for aspiring professionals due to the changing nature of work.Infinite Mindset and Just Causes: Younger generations are motivated by an infinite mindset, seeking just causes and movements that align with their values and being willing to make sacrifices for these causes.Impact on Company Culture and Communication: The shift towards more independent or contract-based work can impact company culture. Effective communication and understanding of individual personalities are essential for meeting employees' needs and expectations.Chuck's Top 3 Takeaways for the Audience:1.       Look in the mirror today and give appreciation to yourself. 2.     You don't need a better life; you just need different options. You don't “need” to shift, get to “choose” to shift. 3.     Get into the habit for time blocking. Set time aside for self-care. Your family and friends need the best of you, not what's left of you. Joining Lloyd this week, is Austin Allison, CEO of Pacaso, the fastest-growing tech unicorn of all time. From humble beginnings, and an unusual path, Austin Allison, founder at Pacaso, has taken an unconventional path to the top. A self-proclaimed “troubled teen” and near high-school drop-out, Austin, on the back of an epiphanical moment, turned his life around to become a top performer at college, and become a multi-unicorn founder. Son of a carpenter, with a clear entrepreneurial streak from a young age, selling birdhouses having seen the joy a birdhouse made by his father brought to his mother, Austin started his first business aged 8. Fast-forward a number of years, and Austin has founded a business sold for 9 figures, and now founded the fastest-growing tech unicorn ever. From 0 to a $1B+ valuation in 5 months! However, what stands out with Austin is his attention to culture. Despite all this success, where Austin really takes pride is in the environments he has created and the room for his team to flourish. Infusing Pacaso with an Infinite Mindset, focused not on the short-term, nor even long-term, but aiming to build a business that outlives even himself, Austin's mentality is inspirational. A fantastic episode on how to build cultures, how to build sustainably in bear markets and really, a modern tech founder's guide. Book recommendations: The Hard Thing About Hard Things - Ben Horowitz The Infinite Mindset - Simon Sinek  [ 0:00 - 3:26 ] An introduction to Pacaso - the fastest growing tech unicorn of all time[ 3:27 - 10:46 ] Fractionalised ownership of 2nd homes & angry Cornwall seagulls[ 10:47 - 15:55 ] The How and Why of Pacaso[ 15:56 - 22:01 ] How Pacaso went from 0 to $1Bn+ in 5 months[ 22:02 - 28:38 ] The macro-market and building sustainably in a bear market[ 28:39 - 33:08 ] Austin's background, from humble beginnings to unicorn founder[ 33:09 - 39:45 ] From being unproductive to maximum productivity[ 39:46 - 44:28] Austin Allison's Forbes: He earned it[ 44:29 - 49:57 ] The cruciality of culture[ 49:58 - 55:46 ] The Infinite Mindset[ 55:47 - 58:59 ] The modern leader: vulnerable and empathetic[ 59:00 - 1:06:11 ] Future projections & Closing thoughts

There are two kinds of people in the world. Those that look at people who have succeeded, and go, "Why them and not me?" You don't have to lose for someone else to win. So often we fall into the trap of thinking that someone else's success is coming out of our pocket. Paralysed by a zero sum, fixed mindset, we find ourselves experiencing feelings of envy and jealousy when we see other people winning, particularly when they are succeeding at the very thing we are trying to accomplish. But we don't have to. There is another way. By adopting an infinite, growth mindset, we can find inspiration in other people's success. We can be happy when we see someone else winning and know for certain that their success is not coming out of our own pocket. In this episode, Joseph Mencel explains why adopting an infinite, growth mindset is so crucial to your own success in all areas of your life, and why you have to be cautious about the energy, thoughts and words you put into the universe when it comes to other people's success. An episode packed with practical advice that is sure to hit home. You'll want to listen to this one more than once. Enjoy!

Try this perspective shift. Instead of seeing “social distancing” and travel bans as panic, try seeing them as acts of mass cooperation intended to protect the collective whole. This plan is not about individuals going into hiding. It's a global deep breath...an agreement between humans around the planet to be still. Be still, in hopes that the biggest wave can pass without engulfing too many of the vulnerable among us. - Dr. Lindsay Jernigan More information can be found at https://www.socialchangeleaders.net/episode/027 There is great uncertainty right now in our world with the COVID-19 outbreak. People are isolating in order to ‘flatten the curve' and do their part to level out the infection rate and keep our medical system from being unable to handle the demand. It is unknown how long it will last and what the damage will be a result. But there are some things that remain known. Your mission and the social challenge you are addressing will still be prevalatest. The work you are doing still matters. The world still needs your voice and your work. Co-host Stephanie Malon-Rufi has spent over 15 years working with nonprofits, start-up social businesses and social enterprises. She has worked with many leaders who have had to work in the face of uncertainty, make key decisions in hard times and develop strategies to allow enterprises to survive and thrive. And she already works virtually! In this episode, you will hear her 10 strategies to try out during the recent COVID-19 outbreak as many of us are ‘social distancing.' Go Virtual! Find virtual ways to offer your revenue-generating services. Get creative. Innovate! Lessons, meetings, coaching sessions, classes – these can all be done virtually. Give it a try! Work ON your enterprise! I know I have a list of projects I want to do for my business. And these are projects that actually are going to help me to grow. Do you have some? For example, map out your content, learn a new social media platform, write your email nurture sequence, etc. Reduce news intake! It is important to be updated on what is happening but also important not to get sucked into the 24-hour news cycle. it is distracting and anxiety-producing. Learn and grow with books! Currently I am reading Contagious Culture by Anese Cavanaugh and Infinite Mindset by Simon Sinek. And I have a lot more ready to go. What book are you reading? Listen to podcasts! Social Change Leaders Podcast has been releasing episodes weekly, we have 26 so far! Take a listen to some of our episodes. Boost your immune system! Sleep, avoid eating and drinking sugar, get vitamin D, take a daily probiotic and drink water. Get outdoors! You can still get fresh air and take a walk outside, visit a park. Move your body. This is also a great way to combat some of the fear and anxiety that this situation brings. Look for the good! In times like these there is a lot of good happening. Make sure you are paying attention. You can even keep a list of what you notice each day. Be the good! What can you do or offer during this time? It can be offering to shop for an elderly neighbor, so they don't have to go out. It could be having consistent phone calls with loved ones who live elsewhere. Have your kids draw pictures to mail to nursing homes since visitors are banned right now. Do you have a helpful product that you can give away to those in need? Spend some energy and time on creating good in this situation. And if you have kids spending more time at home…. co-create a daily schedule, work together to brainstorm ideas of what they can do, have them help keep the house clean…..Work Together!
