Tammy Locke started at the tender age of 18 months when she played Robert Redford's daughter in "The Voice of Charlie Pont". She continued working until she was 8 or 9 years old with entertainment talents like Ann-Margret, Clint Eastwood, Barbara Hershey, Rance, Ron, and Clint Howard to name a few. Tammy feel truly honored to have been blessed at such a young age. Although it has taken her almost 40 years to make my way back to the screen, she had never lost her passion for the business. It has been a part of her life in one form or another since she can remember. When she was 16 years old she began to make my way into the music business when she won 3rd place in The Battle of the Bands. At the age of 19, she became a professional Roller Derby skater with the Detroit Devils as #22 and a short time later she even had my own radio show on 93.5 FM, "The Tammy Jean Show". Not long after, a well-known promoter, Mr. Johnny Burger introduced her to a band known as the California Express. Its members included the nephews of the Famous Tex Williams, Russ Paul, and Dennis Orr and Tex's son in law Sam Aiello as well as Marty Rifkin and Christopher Nielson. They, in turn, introduced her to singer/songwriter, Jeffrey Steele. They all became great friends and bandmates as she headlined all over California as Miss Tammy Jean and the California Express over the next 5-6 years. It wasn't until much later, when she discovered Karaoke that her real dream came true and she met her wonderful husband Tom and would have a beautiful son Robby. On today's Breitbart News Daily podcast, we open with a quick breakdown of two major Supreme Court decisions that came down on Thursday, one that allows for Biden to kill Trump's "remain in Mexico" rule and another that lessens the power of the Environmental Protection Agency. Also, stocks are having their worst first two quarters in over 50 years. This should surprise no one, but it's yet another horrible strike against President Big Joey. Speaking of Mr. Biden, he spent yesterday trashing America from overseas and announced even more spending of your money that you haven't even earned yet on Ukraine. All of this should be scandalous, but our media doesn't seem to have time for this because, ya know, Orange Man Bad. Our "Woke Update" today includes details on the Democrats' proposed "trans bill of rights," a Netflix actress praising her mom for aborting her potential sibling, and a woman with a goatee and a neck beard going missing in Canada. Yes, really. Our first guest is Nashville Hall of Famer Jeffrey Steele, who debuts a a new song with us - "I'm an American" - in honor of Independence Day. We need artists like this right now. Then, we speak to Abby Johnson, a Planned Parenthood clinic director-turned-pro-life activist. She's among those who deserve credit for the big Supreme Court Roe decision. We get her thoughts on that and where she believes Planned Parenthood goes from here. She debunks all the lies.

On today's Breitbart News Daily podcast, it's one we've been anticipating for months: we celebrate the life and legacy of Andrew Breitbart ten years since his sudden passing. Alex was Andrew's first employee when he began his media empire about fourteen years ago. He summarizes some of the key ideas and character traits embodied by Andrew, the founder of Breitbart News. Andrew used his signature tactics of jocularity and righteous indignation, as well as a killer news nose and keen eye for talent, to inspire conservative Americans to fight back and have fun while doing it. Alex shares some "war stories" and lessons learned from his boss and mentor. We have two guests today, both of whom discuss what Andrew meant to them. James O'Keefe, guerrilla journalist extraordinaire and founder of Project Veritas, reminisces about breaking the ACORN child prostitution/money laundering investigation with Andrew, who orchestrated it brilliantly, as well as the origins the MSM's O.G. new media nemesis: Retracto, the Correction Alpaca. Then, Nashville legend Jeffrey Steele debuts a new song, "Walk Toward the Fire," about Andrew himself. Let's make sure it's a hit!

Vassar's songwriting career blossomed in the mid-'90s when he landed a publishing contract with EMI and penned hits for Collin Raye ("Little Red Rodeo"), Alan Jackson ("Right on the Money"), Tim McGraw ("For a Little While"), Jo Dee Messina ("Bye Bye," "Alright"), and Blackhawk ("Postmarked Birmingham"). Since he can't tour due to the ongoing pandemic, the award-winning singer/songwriter created a virtual series that will make fans feel like they're hanging out at a retro piano bar, much like the venues where Vassar got his start. The livestream series airs every other Tuesday at 8 pm ET and features Vassar covering well-known songs by Billy Joel, Elton John, James Taylor, Jackson Brown, and Kenny Rogers, as well as requests from fans via social media. This year marks 20 years since "Just Another Day In Paradise" hit the top of the charts, marking his first-ever No. 1 as a recording artist. Earlier this year, he released his long-awaited tenth studio album, Stripped Down, featuring songs he's written but never recorded in the past 20 years, and new music, including a duet with his daughter Haley. In addition to the new album, Vassar's TV series Phil Vassar's Songs from the Cellar launched on the Circle Network. The weekly series, produced by NashPhil Cellars and The Nice Kids, featured all-star celebrity guests including Mike Tyson, Cam, Carrot Top, Jessie James Decker and more. The second season is underway. Check local listings. The interview was conducted by Buddy Iahn the same day Vassar was nominated for the 2020 Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Vassar and I discuss the honor of being nominated -- although it wasn't until early November that others were chosen for this induction this year -- his career, both livestream and TV series' and his daughter's foray into the music industry. A couple of weeks after our interview, it was announced that Vassar would be headlining Christmas 4 Kids (C4K) fundraising livestream concert on November 23rd. Old Dominion's Matt Ramsey, STYX's Tommy Shaw, Lonestar, Craig Morgan, Jeffrey Steele, David Lee Murphy, Terri Clark, David Nail, Billy Dean, Abby Anderson and Lexie Hayden all joined Vassar during the live set. Everyone has a story. Some are able to tell their stories in a way that transforms the listener. Others, have a story that can change people but cannot seem to share it due to fear or some level of fear that minimizes the sharing. Ethan Freckleton had been so filled with fear that he was unable to lift himself up at one point and then something changed. He recognized that fear was the only thing between himself and his dreams. On this episode, Ethan, known as the Ambassador of Fearless Storytelling, shares how he went from feeling trapped to live his life out loud and helping others do the same. Ethan shares several powerful questions you can ask yourself to shift you from feeding fear to nurturing hope and more. If you are, or have ever been stopped by fear, this episode is for you. Bellingham, WA based Ethan Freckleton continues the tradition of honest storytelling, whether that’s in the form of Americana - melding a heavy influence of blues and country music with the louder and heavier guitar sounds of the grunge era that he grew up with - or as an author of speculative fiction. As an author, Ethan Freckleton has helped hundreds of people start living their best lives with ‘The Change Habit,’ and entertained thousands more with his fiction. His debut novel, PROPHET OF VIRTUE (March ‘18), was a humorous exploration of the oft-dysfunctional Seattle software culture. Recent releases include OF DONKEYS, GODS, AND SPACE PIRATES (May ‘19). As a songwriter, devoted to writing great songs, he has continually refined his approach while studying the craft of songwriting with hit writers - among them: Jeffrey Steele, Tom Hambridge, Hugh Prestwood, Angela Kaset and Don Henry. Their teachings left their mark, as Ethan emerged with his own brand of sincere, soul-infused rock n' roll. Notable releases include FINALLY (March ‘16), EMPTY PALACE (May '14) and UNLIMITED LOVE (May '13) recorded in Hawaii, THE CRAZY THINGS WE SAY(Feb '12) recorded with his band and produced by Johnny Sangster(Mudhoney, Maggie Bjorkland), as well as ALL SHE NEEDS (June '12) recorded in Nashville and produced by Jim Reilley (New Dylans). He has been carried in rotation on independent and commercial radio stations around the globe, from the UK's HOT RADIO 102.8 to Southern FM 88.3 in Melbourne, Australia; as well as in the USA on such stations as Los Angeles' KPFK 90.7 FM and Hawaii's KTUH 90.3 and KKCR 90.9. Ethan is currently the host of THE FEARLESS STORYTELLER podcast, and busy penning the third and final book in a humorous science fiction trilogy. As a musician, he’s an alumni of Seattle, WA area bands The Troublefakers, Alectrophobia, The Disappointments and Lust for Kicks. As a teenager, he shared the stage with blues greats RL Burnside, Lonnie Pitchford, Dave Conant. https://www.ethanfreckleton.com/

Melissa Lawson, Winner of NBC Hit Show Nashville Star Season 6 is back and continues her INCREDIBLE life story. We pick up with her being in Nashville, for the Nashville Star competition, making it into the top 12 and being sequestered for 3 months. We get lots of behind the scenes information. She says that she was given an opportunity and felt like it was her responsibility to take full advantage of it and work as hard as she could. The show was MC’d by Billy Ray Cyrus, who Melissa says is truly an amazing guy and the judges were John Rich, Jewel and Jeffrey Steele. Melissa’s mentor was John Rich, who really fought for her. She tells us how extremely nerve wrecking it is to stand on stage to find out if you get voted off. She tells us about the finale and what it was like to be announced the winner of Nashville Star, Season 6. So incredibly exciting. After winning she experienced the ride of her life for a few months, being whisked from interview to interview, being flown to Bejing China and performing for the Olympic games and headlining every weekend for months. After about 6 months she returned home only to find her kids out of control and slowly her life crumbling in front of her. She was asked to step down from the worship team of her church because her fame was a distraction, she found out her husband was having an affair, Warner Brothers told her she had nothing to offer them and released her from her contract, they had to file bankruptcy, lost the house, cars and every material thing. They lost it all. Her husband tried to save their marriage and had to come clean about everything he had ever done, and it confirmed everything she had suspected for years. Melissa is so compassionate and decided to forgive him, because all she wanted was to keep her family intact. She has PTSD and fights mental illness on a daily basis from the traumas she repeatedly experienced over the course of 20 years. However she is friends with her ex husband and they co parent together. Listen to her experience with Tony Robbins who worked with her and her husband, Rick. The pair, who have five children, are struggling to overcome Rick’s infidelity while Melissa was away from home on tour and recording. The conflict has affected Melissa’s career and the couple’s relationship with their kids. The outcome is crazy. They tried to repair their marriage several more times, but after yet another affair Melissa had had enough, left, filed for divorce, started her own super successful company and met her new husband. She was going through a very confusing time and made choices she is not proud of but you must hear her tell the story of getting pregnant with her 6th child. It is spellbinding and mind blowing. She wrote a suicide letter, took pills, was rescued, but was put on lock down and put in a psychiatric unit for 14 days. Today Melissa is trying to inspire women of all walks of life and she started a podcast “Living with the Lawson’s” and is actively working on reviving her music career with her boys that have a band. We encourage her to go on America’s got talent. Melissa is a big believer that nobody has to be perfect and it is better to share the truth than to keep secrets. What an inspiration she is. Question of the Day Segment: Name a movie that you have watched over 5 times that you are still entertained by.Penis and Pussy Talk Segment: The sex talk isn’t enough. How parents can teach teens about healthy relationships. To end the show Melissa blesses us with 2 more songs that give us chills. Her talent is incredible. She truly has the voice of an angel. We want to see her get another chance and become the star she was born to be. Ryan is a high energy, all-American, rockin' country music artist who proudly served as an active duty soldier, Chief Warrant Officer 3, in the United States Army. To understand Ryan Weaver and his passion for music, you need to hear his unique story: Ryan Weaver's life is an example of how an individual's dedication, discipline, focus and perseverance can help them to achieve greatness in the face of adversity.Ryan was adopted at 10 months of age, along with his older brother Aaron, by the Weaver family. Ryan grew up living all over the state of Florida, one of eight siblings, and the youngest of three Weaver boys. Older brothers Steve and Aaron joined the military and attended flight school. When his time came, Ryan followed in their shoes. Three Weaver boys. Three Army Warrant Officers. Three helicopter pilots.Ryan's brother Aaron died in 2004 when the Medivac Black Hawk helicopter he was a passenger in was shot down by enemy fire in Iraq. At that time Ryan was also deployed in Iraq as a Black Hawk helicopter pilot. Ryan certainly understood mortality and the risks of combat, after all, Aaron had survived the bloody 1993 battle in Mogadishu, Somalia that became the basis for the movie, Black Hawk Down. When Aaron died, however, something changed for Ryan Weaver. He returned from combat and took a position training the next generation of Army aviators and officers at Fort Rucker, Alabama, and has not piloted a Black Hawk since that fateful day. Ten years after the last day Ryan saw Aaron alive in Iraq on January 4th, Ryan's brother-in-law Randy Billings was laid to rest one row back from Aaron. He was KIA in Afghanistan on December 17th 2013 when the Blackhawk helicopter he was piloting was shot down by an enemy ground detonated explosive device.Currently working with Charlie Daniels longtime manager David Corlew, Ryan has been steadily making his way on to the Nashville music scene with recent performances at the The Ryman Auditorium with Charlie Daniels, CMA Fest on the Samsung Galaxy Stage, the annual Tootsie's Birthday Bash, Operation Troop Aid's Rock the Block Concert on Broadway, as well as multiple local venue performances. Most notably, he performed at the Charlie Daniels 40th Anniversary Volunteer Jam at Bridgestone Arena and made his Grand Ole Opry debut on September 11th this year.Just out of the Army, Ryan spends his time writing and recording music, as well as performing all over the nation. With a long list of headlining national acts with which he has shared the stage as an opener, most notably George Jones, Charlie Daniels, Blake Shelton, Craig Morgan, Phil Vassar, Trace Adkins and Montgomery Gentry, Ryan's concerts are the truest indicator of his talent. Ryan has a unique ability to connect with the crowd in high-energy performances combined with close to heart musicality and charm with a story to tell that makes him as real as it gets. He attributes his discipline, passion and undaunted motivation to soar to higher heights to his military career and two brothers who sacrificed their lives so he may chase his dreams.Ryan's first single, “Crank It,” was the first song Ryan co-wrote in Nashville along with Kevin Ray (Hot Apple Pie) and Brian Eckert. The music video for “Crank It” spent eight weeks in the Rising Star slot on TNN/The Heartland Network, a network record for an independent artist. The video is also playing on ZUUS Country where Ryan hosted an hour-long episode as a VJ for “On The Rise.”Ryan's recently released second single, “New Set of Tires,” was co-written by Hall of Fame songwriters Jeffrey Steele and Bob Dipiero and is now available at all major digital distribution outlets. Ryan is currently writing and recording songs for his new EP scheduled for release in the spring of 2016.

After five years, a few changes were in store for the annual Jeffrey Steele and Friends benefit show.  This year's concert moved to the historic Franklin Theater on Main Street in downtown Franklin, Tennessee.  Along with performances from some of Jeffrey's good buddies, this event raised money for programs to benefit overlooked and at-risk youth.  Kelly Lynn was there to check it all out.
