This week on Play Comics, we're trading our Roman shields for DualShock controllers as we dive headfirst into the digital disaster that is Asterix & Obelix Kick Buttix for PS2 and Xbox – because apparently someone at Étranges Libellules thought the best way to honor René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo's beloved comic masterpiece was to trap our favorite mustachioed warriors in a 3D brawler with combat mechanics more repetitive than Obelix's “These Romans are crazy!” catchphrase. Released in 2003 as Asterix & Obelix XXL in Europe before getting the wonderfully ridiculous “Kick Buttix” rebrand for American audiences, this licensed adventure promised players the chance to experience authentic Gallic village life while punching approximately 70 Romans per level across 40 different stages of cartoon chaos. What it actually delivered was a gaming experience so mindlessly button-mashy that even Caesar would file a complaint with customer service about the repetitive gameplay loop. Joining us for this Roman-bashing bonanza is the incomparable Chas! Pangburn – a man who when he's not busy lettering the actual Asterix comics from the depths of his creative dungeon, brings his insider knowledge of what makes these characters tick both on the page and in polygonal form. En el corazón de Sudamérica, una lengua ancestral se reinventa al ritmo del beat. El guaraní, hablado por millones y cargado de historia, hoy también suena en clave de rap. Desde las aldeas de Misiones hasta los barrios de Asunción, jóvenes raperos lo convierten en poesía, resistencia y futuro. En Europa, todavía hay quienes piensan que los pueblos indígenas de América fueron exterminados durante la colonización. Pero la verdad es completamente diferente: millones sobreviven. Luchando. Resistiendo.  Y con ellos, sus culturas. Sus lenguas. Una de esas lenguas es el guaraní. Tan importante para América del Sur -y para la ciencia- como lo fueron el latín o el griego. De hecho, después de estos, el guaraní es el idioma más utilizado en la nomenclatura científica internacional para referirse a animales y plantas. Se habla a diario en millones de hogares de Paraguay, en el sur de Brasil, en Bolivia y en el norte de Argentina. Pero es en Paraguay donde su fuerza es mayor. Allí, lo hablan seis millones y medio de personas y se escucha tanto —o más— que el castellano. Palabras como mburucuyá, yaguareté o tucán vienen del guaraní. En este país tanto el español como el guaraní son lenguas oficiales. Se usan en el Senado, en los supermercados, en los medios, en los memes. En la tele, en la calle y en casa. Tiene literatura escrita desde hace siglos. Y sí, también tiene rap. ¿Cómo suena el guaraní cuando se sube a una base de trap? ¿Cómo se convierte en arma de identidad? ¿En denuncia? ¿En poesía? Durante siglos, el guaraní y su antecesor cercano -el tupí-guaraní- recorrieron el continente de norte a sur, como los grandes ríos de Sudamérica. Del Caribe a la Amazonía. Del norte de Brasil al corazón del sur: Paraguay. Del corazón al beat Ananá. Caracú. Maraká. Urubú. Palabras que suenan familiares, que muchos usamos sin saber que son guaraníes.  En Brasil, urubú es el buitre. En Argentina, ananá es la piña. Caracú es el centro o el tuétano del hueso. Y es justamente en Argentina, en la aldea Mbororé, del pueblo mbya guaraní, donde comienza esta historia. Luis y Fabián tienen 24 y 26 años. Escucharon rap por primera vez en sus celulares. Veían a Porta, el rapero español, en YouTube o a los Bro MCs, raperos indígenas de Brasil. Así empezaron a rimar. En guaraní. El grupo se llama Hae kuera, ñande kuera. Ellos. Nosotros. “En realidad, nosotros decimos cosas verdaderas. Todo lo que está pasando nomás. La historia. Antes teníamos muchos más monte... Desde hace un tiempo entró gente de afuera, de la sociedad blanca. Entraron e invadieron nuestra selva. Con la motosierra, inclusive ahora mismo estamos escuchando la motosierra. Creo que está haciendo los tablones y eso porque venden todas las cosas y todas las movidas”, explica Luis a RFI. Están en la provincia de Misiones, muy cerca de la triple frontera entre Argentina, Brasil y Paraguay, donde resisten a la deforestación ilegal cuidando sus bosques como los galos Asterix y Obelix resistían a los romanos. El guaraní es una lengua aglutinante, polisintética, como el alemán. Puede expresar ideas complejas en una sola palabra. Tiene sonidos guturales, nasales, glotales… que no existen en español. Como 'y', que significa 'agua'; 'y guasu', 'agua gigante'. Así se llaman las cataratas del Iguazú. Las mismas que casi se escuchan desde la aldea de Luis y Fabián. Desde allí rapean su rabia, su dignidad. Mientras le visita RFI hace una humedad fresca, huele a selva y a tierra mojada. Ellos escriben junto a un arroyo, mientras su madre les prepara reviro: harina frita sobre leña. “Algunos dicen que los mbya solo quieren ayuda. Que no trabajan. Los políticos sobre todo dicen que nosotros siempre estamos pidiendo. Pero en realidad, no. Si no trabajáramos, no existiríamos hoy. Nosotros estamos en esa resistencia todos todavía. Estamos resistiendo todavía", prosigue Luis.  “La gente de la sociedad blanca a nosotros no les importamos. Al revés, les damos asco por nuestra piel. Porque somos mbya. Que sé yo, hay mucho prejuicio. No podemos salir y caminar tranquilos en la ciudad. Hay mucho odio. Mucha rabia. Mucho prejuicio”, prosigue.  Vivir la vida buscando plenitud Del otro lado del Paraná, a las afueras de Asunción, Paraguay, una calle de piedras y un caminito de tierra roja nos lleva lleva hasta la bella casa de Conan y Miguel, artistas del colectivo Tekovete. Ella pinta murales. Él escribe y rapea. Juntos hacen poesía en guaraní. Y como ellos, muchos jóvenes encuentran en su lengua materna una llave. Una que abre otras puertas. Así lo cuenta Miguel: “'Tekovete' sería desenfocar la palabra hacia la vida en plenitud. Es ser uno mismo, vivir en plenitud. 'Tekove' es 'vida'. 'Teko' es la 'forma de vivir'. Y 'ete' viene de 'verdadero'. Lo que es real, lo que es auténtico. Entonces 'Tekovete' es 'vivir la vida en esa búsqueda de plenitud siendo uno mismo'”. “De eso se trata la plenitud, el poder de contemplación, de estar en un sitio, de compartir, de sentarse en una ronda, tomar un tereré, estar en una ronda del brasero contando en nuestras vivencias, nuestras historias Conan continua: “De eso se trata la plenitud, el poder de contemplación, de estar en un sitio, de compartir, de sentarse en una ronda, tomar un tereré, estar en una ronda del brasero contando en nuestras vivencias, nuestras historias. Antes, por ejemplo, las familias paraguayas se reunían y contaban el famoso caso ñemonbeú, que es como anécdotas de su vida y  veces también con un poco de fábula, como para darle también emoción al cuento. Yo creo que todo eso ese 'Tekovete' tiene mucho que ver con eso con el trovador, el que te cuenta las historias”.  Tekovete hace rap urbano, nacido en la periferia, con historias que hablan de su barrio, de su generación. Sin parar de mutar. Como el propio guaraní, que en Paraguay muchas veces se habla mezclado con el español. Esa fusión se llama jopara. “Vos sabes que antes de hacer rap yo no me sentía representado con lo que escuchaba, con lo que decía, la manera que decían -explica Miguel-. Entonces yo le decía a Conan, yo voy a rapear en guaraní. Voy a hacer temas de que hablen justamente de esos momentos, de nuestro entorno, de cómo vemos nuestra realidad. Tekovete como proyecto es eso, es comentar esos pequeños detalles, que muchas veces no vemos. Es narrar la realidad de nuestras propias vivencias, siendo parte de eso". Hay que cuidar mucho la palabra, porque para los guaraníes originarios la palabra es sagrada "Gracias a esa necesidad de reivindicar, no reivindicar, fortalecer el guaraní,  porque sí, todavía hasta ahora está entre nosotros, pero representarlo de una manera bien estudiada también. Porque hay que cuidar mucho la palabra, porque para los guaraníes originarios la palabra es sagrada. Entonces también Tekovete trata de mantener ese respeto y cuidado hacia la palabra”, aclara.  En la inmensa mayoría de las familias y escuelas son las mujeres -abuelas, madres- quienes transmiten el guaraní. “Sabiendo que hay un poder en la palabra que es el guaraní, que los paraguayos tenemos esa grandiosa herencia maternal y llevamos con nosotros, entonces esa necesidad de poder mostrarle al mundo lo que se puede hacer con el guaraní, que el rap en guaraní puede sonar tan bueno y con tanto estilo y con tanto flow como pueden sonar un rap en Estados Unidos, en Chile, en Perú, en Alemania, sea el idioma que sea", zanja Miguel. Hoy, jóvenes paraguayos y guaraní-hablantes como Miguel y Conan están llevando ese legado a las redes. como TikTok, Instagram o YouTube. Ahí enseñan guaraní, hacen chistes, doblajes, sketches bilingües. Creatividad pura, en dos lenguas que a veces son una. Hay más. Mucho más. El guaraní se canta desde hace mucho en forma de guarania y jahe'o, músicas nacidas en Paraguay y que pocos conocen fuera. Hay hasta blues y hevy metal en guaraní. Incluso Mafalda ha sido traducida a esta lengua. Os invitamos a no dejar de escucharla. A veces está más cerca de lo que crees. En el subte en Buenos Aires, en la Sorbona de París o en un mercado de Madrid, ahí se escucha guaraní.

Kaczyński właśnie dał sygnał do ataków na Konfederację — mimo że do tej pory unikał konfrontacji ze swym mniejszym prawicowym konkurentem, zakładając, że będzie potrzebować wyborców Sławomira Mentzena, by w drugiej turze wyborów prezydenckich pokonać Rafała Trzaskowskiego. Ta nagła zmiana to dowód na to, że Kaczyński wciąż obawia się, iż jego prezydencki kandydat Karol Nawrocki może przegrać już w pierwszej turze z Mentzenem — wówczas to lider Konfederacji będzie się potykał w finale z Rafałem Trzaskowskim (który — swoją drogą — coraz wyraźniej dystansuje się od Donalda Tuska). Kaczyński wykorzystał do ataku na „Konfę” kontrowersyjne słowa Mentzena o płatnej edukacji oraz służbie zdrowia. Podlał to sosem swych spiskowych teorii, wedle których konfederaci mogliby współpracować z Tuskiem — co ma dodatkowo zniechęcić elektorat prawicy do głosowania na Mentzena. A jeśli chodzi o wspomniany sejmowy atak Kaczyńskiego na Giertycha — którego finałem było skandowanie przez posłów PiS oskarżenia „morderca” — to twórcy „Stanu Wyjątkowego” mają dowód na to, że prezes PiS wszystko starannie i na chłodno zaplanował.
