Now, this episode is a little different to normal - instead of giving an you overview of what I've been doing in my business over a couple of weeks, I'm digging RIGHT into one very big thing I did over a couple of months. Beta testing my new online course - get all the details here When most people create an online course or digital product, they create the entire course and then try to sell it. In many cases, the course isn't very successful. It might be a good course, but that doesn't mean that people will buy it. And it's because it's been created without feedback or input. A beta test is a way of ensuring that you create a course that people actually WANT. It has three overall steps Research and plan out the course Presell it, to make sure people will actually pay for it Create it along with your group of testers Beta testing also provides accountability, because you've committed to create the course, to a timeline, for paying customers! If your beta test goes well, you can be fairly confident that you have a product that will sell well - people have already bought it, and their feedback and input along the way will ensure it's tailored for your customers. Plus, you get paid to create, and your testers can provide testimonials and case studies for your brand-new product. Sound great? It IS great! That's why I've been doing it since 2017.

3 Ways to Improve a Presell or Bridge in Affiliate Marketing?

Click on the link below for more... https://www.trustthelink.com/what-is-presell-page-for-affiliate-marketing-secret-method/ Hey wutz going. In anything you do there is usually more money going deep rather than shallow. For example someone who has been a truck driver for 20 years and owns his own truck will probably earn more money than someone who is completely brand new right? It's the same for affiliate marketing and there are many ways someone can go deep into it and not shallow. An example of going shallow would be using Facebook to post an affiliate link a few times a week. It's better than nothing, but you probably can do better, if you plan ahead. One way you can go deep is with a presell page or bridge page. Instead of sending someone to an affiliate offer you could send the person to an presell page. This then could warm someone up to the product and could increase your income. There is a good book I read a few years go called Presuasion. Basically getting someone in the right state of mind can be very helpful before you make an offer. It can also work great in negotiating such as pointing to a very expensive product and then pointing to your product, which would be MUCH less money. Another way you can think of a presell is it's a personal endorsement of the product by yourself. What are some things you "really" like about the product? You can use that in the presell. Another way to improve your presell and this has to do with "all" your marketing is talking to the reader directly. Instead of talking to many people in your writing or video just talk to the reader directly and make it more personal. This was in the book Pre-suasion. A third way to improve your presell has to do with association. People don't care about products they want what the product will do for them. It's like looking at those diamond commercials and then seeing a happy couple. The commercial is associating buying jewelry with a better romantic relationship. If you can associate the product to the ideal outcome and talk about that, get excited and enthusiastic about the outcome it can warm someone up to the affiliate offer. I really just scratched the surface on these bridge pages or presell pages. To get more ideas click on the link below or go to trustthelink.com. I go over exactly how to make a presell page very easily, 5 different types of presell pages. Plus, more ideas on going deep into affiliate marketing and earning more money with less effort and time. I hope this video or podcast was helpful. Bye for now.

Lily felt lost because after spending days searching through content about how to presell a course she wasn't any wiser. You see, Lily heard inside a Facebook group that it was better to presell a course rather than invest lots of time building it out. She wanted to be able to gauge interest in her signature offer before investing time and energy. The problem though is that preselling a course is not as easy as she expected it to be. All the information in blogs and in YouTube videos seems to be oh-so vague. Let me know if you can relate to these points. Creating an online course is a labour of love. You know your topic well and are excited to share your knowledge with others but it is still a lot of labour. Learning how to presell a course can help you feel like the work you are putting in is worth it.  You want to have students and make an income. That is why you are learning about online course creation after all. If you can generate presales you can work on that content knowing that eyes will see it! Make sure the labour in your labour of love is worth it. In this post, you'll learn why pre-selling is important as well as 9 incredible tips that will help you to sell out your course in no time. Why Pre-Selling is Important You are passionate and knowledgeable about your field. So much so that you can teach others about it and you want to! But of course, you want the time you spend making a course to be worth it for you financially. You aren't giving away your hard-earned skill for free after all.  Pre-selling before and as you create means that your course will be generating income even as you invest time and effort in creating it. You are being paid for your work upfront. Not only does this ease your pocket it can also help incentivise you to work when that cup of coffee isn't cutting it.  All the tips outlined in this resource will help you with creating pre-sales for your course. Online small business owners now have all the information they need to start pre-selling to their target students. Use this info to get the pre-sales for your next course.  Tips on How To Sell a Course Tip #1 Layout Your Digital Product Navigating through the entire course shouldn't be difficult for students. The first section starts with the basics like the course title. The introductory part of the lessons should carry all the needed information about what to expect. You can start by giving out a sneak peek of what to expect in each module, the topics, class activities, quizzes, and the time frame for completing the course.  Through pre-sales, you can be selling your course as you are creating it however it is essential to create a great online course. Students can refer other students or leave reviews. You want to make sure your pre-sales students have a great online course after you launch.  Tip #2  Figure out Your Target Numbers You do not want to price your online course so high that people do not sign-up but you also want to recoup the investment of your time and resources in creating a course.  Conduct market research, calculate your cost during production (value your time too!) and use that to guide you in pricing your new online course. This is important in pre-selling as you do not want to over-price or even under-price your course. The next step is to know that you are not marketing your product to just anyone but to people who need or would be interested in your online course, so just like any other venture, you need to figure out who your potential customers are, including where and how to find them.  Don't make the mistakes some course creators make, thinking people will be more interested if they offer their course at a lower price. This is not true at all. If your course is worth it, you will make sales effortlessly. When you determine the people your course is meant for and set the price appropriately,

You have an idea for a program or a workshop so you do what many of us do.   You bury yourself in your office and work on producing the finished product   The whole thing: slides, handouts, modules, exercises, the lot!   You're not the only one who does this.   Many training providers are convinced they know what paying customers need.   They invest thousands of dollars / pounds / euros in creating before they have confirmation of market demand.   This approach may work but there are times when it does not work!   By the time that your ‘finished' training program is ready,   You may realise that there is no demand Your customer may have changed their mind Market requirements may have changed   But you can avoid these headaches when you presell your training.   Pre-selling means producing something that isn't complete or fully designed.   You have what's called a minimum viable product.  You have a first module or an outline. Nothing more.   But that is often enough to confirm interest and to provide valuable feedback before you invest any time and money in creating the whole thing,   Listen to today's episode to learn more!

Scroll through your newsfeed for at least fifteen minutes and I'm sure you'll find at least two people who are crushing it with courses. However, we want to go beyond the social media highlight reels and talk about the four non-negotables of what will actually make a course profitable for your business. In this episode, we're talking about: The difference between curiosity and judgment and why one will always help you to address and fix a bottleneck in your business faster than the other. How to know you're in the prime position to serve your audience with a course (as well as how to know you aren't in it). The two things to pay attention to when structuring your course so that you don't wind up creating the wrong one for your business and goals. How the course creation journey reflects the journey you took when first working with 1:1 clients and how that knowledge can be used to support you. Exploring the beliefs you have around course creation and if they are helping or hurting your long term scalability. Remember, the goal for this episode is to stop and work on the first of the four points that make you pause. This is a sign that it's an area that needs more support right now and that means it's worth taking the time to listen and explore it fully so you can move forward in confidence. In my discovery calls, I hear this: tell me about your idea, tell me what you are excited about, how does this tie to your expertise, what do you need help with? The ideas are fabulous, but it's my job to help a client quickly check out if the market has an appetitite for what you're dishing up. It's really important to me that my clients don't waste their time or money. I'm interested in my client's success - your success equals my success. I'm your guide to increasing business revenue with a beautiful course or program that sells, not sits on a shelf. So, the question I ask before launching into developing your course or program is — have you checked with your potential clients if they want what you're offering? Do you have a plan to sell the concept or at least find out interest in it? When a serious business owner or entrepreneur, like you, decides to sell your course directly to an end user, you need to prevalidate or even pre-sell your course before you go ahead and make it. In this episode, I outline eight stages of a new learning product lifecycle. I am emphasizing what you should do as soon as you have an idea to convert your thought leadership or content into a course. Warning! This episode is only for serious entpreneurs who care a LOT about selling great learning products.

#091: How to Quickly Move Your Business Online

Marketing Magic

Play Episode Listen Later Mar 30, 2020 22:33

All of the businesses I work with are local businesses with physical locations or businesses that are working with local clients. That means with our country’s current status of states sheltering in place, downtowns shutting down and businesses in the service industry involuntarily closing until we see what COVID-19 is going to do, figuring out how to adapt is paramount. So let’s talk about practical ways you could move your local business online and still bring in revenue. Optimize your website for traffic Most businesses I work with have some kind of online presence, but they’re using it as a place holder, and not necessarily a way to make money. If you do not have a website for your business yet, some easy options that you can easily build yourself are Squarespace and Wix. They are great platforms for starter sites and you can have a new website up and running in a two hours or less. WordPress is my favorite option for hosting websites but there is a learning curve on how to get started. With its new Gutenburg builder release, it has a drag and drop option now too which makes it MUCH easier, plus it’s more robust on how to integrates with everything in the world. If you already have a website, focus on these things: Focus on gathering reviews from existing clients for social proof. Optimize your Google My Business profile to capture local traffic. Make sure your services and products are listed and available for purchase. Set up online payments/processing If you have a business where your client/customers traditionally pay you at the time of service or in-person through cash or check, now is the time to migrate them to online payments. Not only will this set your business up to be cash positive when COVID-19 settles down, but it’s easier to manage than chasing payments. If you have physical or digital products to sell, set up an e-commerce part of your site and a payment processor using Stripe, Square or Paypal, for example. Start having online consultations/bookings Local businesses thrive on face to face interaction, so even as an online business serving local businesses, I’ve found it hard to break local business owners from wanting to only meet in person. Not anymore. Everything has moved online in the world and people are starting to get comfortable with connecting on a computer instead of just face to face. Zoom is my favorite platform to use for web-conferencing and 1:1 calls. For so many types of businesses right now they are offering it for free or at a reduced cost to get started. This can be used for any service-based business when you need to have a consultation with a client before you can even begin working with them. It can be used for health and medical fields, for photographers, coaches, consultants, teams, and more. A dance studio owner client has taken all of her classes online with Zoom so that students are logging in from their homes to take the classes with her, instead of losing all the revenue from her students while her physical studio is closed. A photographer client has moved all her initial photography consultations that are usually in her studio to Zoom so that she can talk to them about their personal branding and headshots and plan for them once the social distancing lessens. Presell things right now that can be offered or delivered at a later date There is a lot of opportunities to keep your business moving forward by bundling together services, products, and events to be fulfilled at a later date this summer/fall when things settle down. Look at what you offer and how you can start to presell it instead and offer a bonus as a reason for people to jump in now, instead of waiting for a later date. For example, a massage therapist could presell a bundle of massages and throw in a bonus. A coach could presell a workshop, course or event and add in 1:1 strategy, additional resources or a collaboration with another coach that complements what they do. A health coach could presell a group program with bonus of recipes, an eating plan, or workouts from home with body weights, etc. A home decorator could presell room makeovers with a bonus of a resource guide, or custom picked paint swatches or a strategy session. Set up online scheduling Online scheduling is great for scheduling appointments, classes, workshops, and managing pick up dates/times if you have people coming to your storefront to pick up items and want to be able to keep them social distancing. My favorite tool is Acuity for online scheduling. It can also take payments, block off your personal calendar, send reminders and texts. Use your email list to nurture your people. Local businesses often use emails infrequently or to promote a sale. Now is the time to use it to build relationships and keep your client based connected to you, even if your physical location is shut down. Use emails to: – Tell them about what you’re doing in this current environment – Tell them what your business looks like when the world is shut down – Tell them about what things you’re working on when everything starts back up again – Give them ways to support you from their homes – Share what you sell! Show pics of your products. Tell the stories of your clients. Ask for their opinion on things. Show them how to share the love of your business on social media. Ask them to submit photos of them doing something while quarantined that might relate to your business. – Keep them updated on what’s happening locally. – Showcase other local businesses that are open in some capacity. Emails are going to be the lifeblood of how businesses stay in contact with their tribes moving forward. Have a social media presence. Even if you’re favorite platform is currently collecting dust, it’s OK to start posting. In fact, everyone is glued to their phones watching the curve of the COVID-19 infections, so there is a greater opportunity than ever to stay in front of them. Those things we just talked about for emails? Use them for social posts as well. Mission accomplished! Collaborate with others. Teamwork makes the dreamwork — even from a distance. While the world goes on lockdown and people are afraid to be around others, figure out how to foster community and collaboration around your business. Who can you team up with to go live, feature, create a special offer or event with? How can you create something new that your audience or community needs in this weird vacuum? I saw today a post that showed that Airbnb, Square, Pinterest, Uber and so many other HUGE brands were birthed during the last recession in 2008-2010. While it can be a time wrought with panic and fear (and for good reason) there are still good things that rise from the ashes if we have the courage to find them. Some people love flexing their sales muscle. Others — not so much. If you’re a business owner who’s “never been good at selling” or hyperventilates at the thought of pitching, that can present a real challenge. Chances are, your products or services don’t have legs and if they do, they won’t walk themselves anywhere profitable. Luckily, there’s a way to market your offers that does all the selling for you.   Landon Porter, the head gorilla at the Sales Gorilla, specializes in teaching people how to get clients and customers without being salesy. In this ‘awesomesauce’ episode, he unpacks what you need to get your market showing up wallet-in-hand just by leveraging your authentic personality. Episode Discussions: Why people fear asking for a sale How sales got its bad reputation Presell tactics that get people to show up, ready to buy What’s self-awareness got to do with attracting ideal clients? Leveraging your personality traits to polarize your marketplace Identifying strengths and outsourcing weaknesses What your audience really wants out of your content When you should start building your audience Putting your message in front of your marketplace Using positive indifference to your benefit Why some find it hard to polarize their market The foundation of building an ideal audience The ‘make you memorable’ method you’ve never heard of How to identify important personality traits to align with ideal clients The real reason behind Facebook Live’s massive success Steps Adam uses to maximize client results Attracting and building trust with your market using content   3:21 The Lowdown on Landon Colorado Native and certified chef Spent 10 years in B2B Sales, 5 years in Real Estate Ended up in sales and had a midlife crisis Discovered self-awareness Created parenting course with wife and bought Facebook Ads course Built relationships and started helping people solve business problems Now coaches people on how to get clients without being salesy   5:57 We are in the relationship economy Sales tactic of psychological persuasion manipulation: Isn’t easy to learn Has been taken too far to one extreme by people who aren't able to do it well. Sales and selling have gotten a bad rep. Most people who are naturally good at sales don't want to do it or are afraid to ask.   6:54 Give yourself permission to be yourself. Be exactly who you are and own it. You'll naturally polarize all the people who don't relate to you without having to try.   7:29 The sales block.   9:30 Positive indifference: The ability to not change how you are based on what others think of you.   10:25 Leverage your personality in your business Play to your strengths and outsource weaknesses. Play up your natural traits and personality 10-20% to really get the attention. Sales takeaway: Most people try to be something they're not and it's hard to keep that up with clients. Your authentic self isn’t hard to maintain around clients.   13:08 Identify your strengths and outsource weaknesses Deciding what to outsource: Tasks you procrastinate or find busy work to keep yourself from doing If you're not good at getting up in the morning and taking care of that thing What you have to force yourself to push through to get finished   Leverage your personality traits to polarize your marketplace Self-awareness is the foundation Understand your real desires > know what you will and won't tolerate > establish your values Don't compromise Naturally, you'll attract some and repel others.   15:59 The people who naturally gravitate toward you come pre-prepared to buy. No need to sell them. True polarization is leveraging really who you actually are. "It doesn't matter what you're actually really like. There are people that naturally want to connect with that." 17:36 Understand your personality to match with your perfect client Define surface level irritations: Things that disgruntle you. Pet peeves? Opposites are your surface level wants, desires, and interests. Lower base want/need/desire: Something that could offend you to the point of stopped conversation. Core value: Something so offensive, you would leave your home and go try and find them.   19:00 Why some find it difficult to polarize their market: "You genuinely have to be OK with the fact that there are going to be people that are vocally loud that you're wrong, and they don't like you." 20:39  "If you can find that audience that loves you and resonates with you...it kind of makes it easier. It makes it all irrelevant and you're like 'cool I'm not for you'." 22:55 When you stop trying to impress people, you're able to impact people.   24:07 Get people to show up, ready to buy with know, like, and trust: Expose yourself enough for people to know whether or not they relate to you. They need to see you up to 12 different times before they feel like they know you. If they feel like they know you and seem to relate, they begin to like Now you're building trust.   27:34 Attraction and exposure tips Inform and entertain Expose people to you Pay to play Leverage platforms for the way they're designed Provide content that helps build know, like, and trust factors and segments people who want it, can afford it, and trust enough to buy. Put your content in front of people   31:00 Attracting people with content: People want to know how you finesse what you do to get the result. If your perfect client was sitting next to you at the bar, what would you discuss with them? What are the questions your market asks you?   32:33 You have to start somewhere. Create content today and start dipping your toes into the water of pay-to-play media.   33:54 Building trust with content Your personality is the differentiator and determining factor provided you know your topic and the wants and needs of your market. Relatability builds trust. Help them get the result they're looking for and they're likely to come back.   37:14 Get your message in front of your marketplace. “You can have the best message all day long. If you don't ever put it out in front of people, guess what? No sales!" 38:57 The foundation of building your audience: Stand out from the crowd: Build your own personal language — that's easy metaphorically and analogy-wise — to explain what it is you do People pick up on nuanced, personalized characteristics. “Know your topic, market, and be your weird a** self. That's the key to it. And then step up on the soapbox and put your message out there.”   Mentioned in this episode: Getting Clients Without Being Salesy Scott Wolford Facebook Group   Click here to subscribe via iTunes Modern Marketing on Stitcher Modern Marketing on Pocket Casts

You can sell like crazy without selling your soul. Here's how... 1. Share Results One of the easiest ways to sell lots of products with honest copy is by telling a story and sharing specific results. 2. Offer a Fast Action Bonus Creating a sense of urgency - especially if you create a fear of loss - this spurs sales. 3. Cap the Number of Units You Sell Another way to create urgency and boost your conversion rate is by limiting your offer to a set number of customers. 4. Show Why Your Offer is Unique No matter what you're selling, you probably have competition. 5. Presell the Offer Instead of having your prospect's first exposure to your product being via a sales page, you should spend a few days or a week preselling the offer. 6.  Avoid Hype If you have a great product, then you don't need to exaggerate your claims to sell a boatload. 7. Don't Mislead Prospects In other words, be honest. if you're offering a membership site, then don't hide the forced continuity. People who should listen to this show are entrepreneurs, career coaches
