EPISODEToday we have Brad Fuller, one of our SDA friends who has been working as an SDA Provider for the past 4 years. Being based on the Gold Coast, near us in Brisbane, we have become good business acquaintances over the past few years, because our business ethics and philosophies within the SDA space are very much aligned.Minh invites Brad onto the show, first and foremost, to introduce him to our listeners and allow Brad an opportunity to share his thoughts on NDIS 2.0, more so in relation to IL and the Robust topics. But more importantly, this episode corrects Minh's mistaken opinion on the concept dual key robust design, to be used as IL, and later on ROBUST, if IL is phased out. Minh had previously discussed with Debbie about the dual key robust design as a possible fall back position, but now have realised, after chatting to Brad, that Bruce Bromley was correct in his comments about it not being a good idea. “MY BAD!" says Minh, and he is owning up to his error of the floor plan concept raised as an idea for episodes 194 & 196.Brad talks about the topic of 'Restrictive Practices' caveat imposed by the Commission, and reinforces on the brief comments by Bruce Bromley (from which Episode 196 was based) ended up being correct. Brad agrees with Bruce in that it doesn't allow for this house design to be future proofed in the way that Minh spoke about in the earlier episodes. By bringing on Brad to discuss this matter, we have cleared up this error on Minh's part, and now give more clarity on options for investors. Hence, they conclude that it's probably best to not build an IL in 2024, but instead build a normal ROBUST house instead (for IL purposes).#Thanks #BruceBromleyAnyway, this discussion between Brad and Minh becomes an open conversation about alternatives to just building an IL house in this current climate of uncertainty, and Brad explains to our listeners (after chatting to Minh in great detail behind the scenes) the paths moving forwards for investors already locked in and committed to the land purchase which was originally intended for IL.In summary, the options for incoming IL investors are as follows:1. If your block is big enough, upgrade the build design to be HPS (assuming cost is okay)2. If your block is not big enough (ie wider frontage) consider a ROBUST design, assuming the block of land is situated in an ideal position away from nearby houses, and close to hospitals with disability services 3. If your block is not suitable to robust, your choice is to continue with the build as an IL and pray that there is little impact on future changes to the IL category int the short term.4. If options 1, 2, & 3 above are not an option, then try and 'sell the block' back onto the open market if you don't feel comfortable with the SDA market conditions, and restart again with a build in a different location.5. Follow through with the IL build, get your IL incomes over the next few years, and reassess in 2028/29 if the option is to sell if off, or rent it back to the normal residential market tenants, post returns received circa $750,000 after 5 years (before costs)We think this idea of building Robust instead of Improved Liveability is the best path moving forwards to future proof the investment property in SDA, if HPS is not viable.Remember, please do your due diligence on the data research, assess the location, the amenities, the participant numbers, and the quality of the design by speaking to allied health professionals and nearby SFor any podcast related queries or suggestions, please contact our podcast manager via email info@ndis.propertywww.sdahousingpodcast.com.au

The words grace and mercy are often used synonymously, however, although they complement one another, they are not synonymous. Grace is about the favor of God.  The word favor refers to an act of kindness beyond what is due or usual when privileges are extended that you didn't earn and sometimes didn't even ask for.To fully understand grace, we need to consider who we were without Christ and who we become with Christ. We were born in sin, guilty of breaking God's holy laws, essentially without grace, we are nothing more than enemies of God. Think about it, we were unrighteous and without means of justifying ourselves. But then there is grace. God's favor. Ephesians 2:8 tells us For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, It is grace that gives us victory over sin and eternal encouragement and good hope. And then there is mercy. Psalm 51:1 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.  Mercy is extended to an offender in the form of forgiveness. We don't look at our sins as an offense, but the truth is every sin is offensive to God.  Lying, slander, fornication, stealing, homosexuality, adultery, greed… all offensive to God. James 4:17 tells us when you know the right thing to do and don't do, that too is sin.Romans 6:23 tells sFor the wages of sin is death, the scriptures go on because of God's mercy and says but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.GOD loves us so that he gave us a double-dip of His goodness. A scoop of grace tope with a scoop of mercy.  See Grace when God gives us what we don't deserve, and mercy is when God withholds what we do deserve. I know I need the grace and the mercy of God every day, all day, what about you?In closing, I want to leave you with  Hebrews 4: 15-16 which reads. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Dus ik speelde Hfd Sie S2, toeg Sie S2 en Sgt NBC. Als (waarnmend) Hfd Sie S2 was je ook nog verantwoordelijk voor de opleiding en inzet van het bat verkenningspeloton. In die tijd bestond het nog niet dat je na een x aantal maanden volledige waarneming werd bevorderd. Je deed het gewoon. Dat men het toch wel buitengewoon vond en ik, gezien de resultaten van MIO, CI en NATO inspecties, het goed deed, bleek toen ik voor mijn overplaatsing in 1984 tijdens het bat appel van de brigadecommandant hiervoor het Rode Erekoord kreeg uitgereikt. In maart 1984 werd ik geplaatst bij 101 MIDcie bij het Bur Slagorde (tegenwoordig zou men het Bur Current Intel noemen). Halverwege mijn plaatsing daar mocht ik de Elnt functie van Hfd Bur Slo gaan waarnemen omdat deze vroegtijdig de dienst verliet. Een van de leuke dingen uit die tijd waren de ondervraagoefeningen van o.m. piloten in opleiding waarvoor we met het vliegtuig vanaf Soesterberg of Gilze-Rijen heen en terug vlogen naar Ramstein AB in Duitsland. En ja, dan kon het wel eens voorkomen dat je na de terugreis langs het douane ”kantoor” moest. Douane kantoor op een mil vliegveld? Ja hoor, gewoon een busje van hun aan het einde van de landingsbaan.Voor meer details over 101 MIDcie kan ik het boek “Kleine geschiedenis van een inlichtingencompagnie, 101 MIDcie” aanbevelen.In 1988 werd ik overgeplaatst naar het Bur SLO van G2 Staf 1 Lk en bevorderd tot SMI.Vervolgens werd ik in 1992 Plv Hfd Bur SLO G2 – 1 Lk en bevorderd tot AOOI.In mijn AOOI tijd heb ik nog twee keer gedurende 6 maanden de functie (Maj) van Hfd Bur SLO mogen waarnemen. Schijnbaar niet onverdienstelijk want ik heb er nog een paar functioneringsgratificaties voor gehad van C – 1 Lk. Het latere bevorderingsbeleid bestond toen nog steeds niet.In 1995 bestonden er plannen om UNPROFOR (desnoods gewapenderhand) uit het uitzendgebied te halen waarbij ik ook was aangewezen. 14 dagen notus. Alras werd mijn 14 dagen notus omgezet in een directe plaatsing namens de MID bij de Multi National Intelligence Coordination Cell (MNICC afgekort ICC).Mijn eerste uitzending. Deelnemers waren Duitsland, UK, Frankrijk, Belgie, Nederland en de US.Wij verzorgden de intel voor de Rapid Reaction Force Operational Staff t.b.v. (re-)targetting van artillerie en vliegtuigen die toen i.h.k.v. Operation Deliberate Force de zware wapens van de Serven rond Sarajevo bestookten. Intel kwam vanuit allerlei bronnen, o.a. ook van de RQ-1 Predator UAV’s die vlogen vanaf Gjadär AB in Albanie. Daar waar de andere landen meerdere personen (offn) hadden gestuurd, had Belgie en NL ieder een AOOI (ondergetekende) gestuurden in sep 1996 werd ik geplaatst als S2 bij de Duits/Nederlandse Command Support Group (brigade) in Eibergen onder gelijktijdige bevordering tot Elnt.Vanwege de regelgeving op veiligheidsgebied had die brigade zowel een Duitse als een NL S2.Aldaar heb ik ook nog een tijdje naast de functie van S2, de functie van Plv CC Stafcie waargenomen.In juni 1999 werd ik geplaatst als Hfd Bur Veiligheid bij het Garnizoen Ede. In Juni 1999 werd ik bevorderd tot kapitein . Daar was ik niet alleen verantwoordelijk voor de beveiliging van alle objecten van het garnizoen, maar ook voor de BHV/bedrijfsbrandweer. In die hoedanigheid ben ik ook Hfd Veiligheid geweest van de eerste veteranendagen in 2000, die toen in Ede zijn gehouden. Tevens ben ik in 1999 weer gaan studeren en heb aan de Haagse Hoge School HBO studies “Security Management” en HBO “Bedrijfshulpverleningsmanagement”, gevolgd door Post-HBO “Security Techniek” en “Security & Recht” in deeltijd studie gedaan. Kreeg al snel de bijnaam studiebol maar liep op het laatst ook op mijn tandvlees want mijn werk ging ook gewoon door met daarnaast nog mijn gezin.Maar wel voor alles geslaagd. Yippie.Na de reorganisaties ben ik in 2001 geplaatst bij het Bur Integrale Veiligheidszorg (IVZ) van eerst het Regionaal Militair Commando RMC) Oost in Harderwijk en na nog een reorganisatie in 2003 bij RMC Noord in Havelte. .Medio 2004 wist de MIVD mij weer te vinden en kreeg ik, nu in de rang van tijdelijk majoor, mijn tweede uitzending naar Bosnie. Inrotatie tijdens SFOR-16 en uitrotatie tijdens EUFOR-1. Formeel als Senior Officer National Intelligende Cell (NIC), maar daadwerkelijk voor MIVD/Specops voor Operation Fervent Archer Forward. Forward staat voor “ter plaatse” in Bosnie. Men had ook nog een poot gelieerd aan het NATO HQ in Napels. Dit betrof de opsporing en in hechtenis (laten) nemen van oorlogsmisdadigers die werden gezocht door het Internationale Strafhof in Den Haag.Dat ik dit niet onverdienstelijk heb gedaan moge blijken uit de beoordeling van de Amerikaanse Kolonel die ter plaatse mijn directe chef was en die is gestuurd naar de NL Senior Officer en is doorgestuurd naar C-RMC Noord. Aan het eind van die beoordeling staat een persoonlijk verhaaltje van hem over mij, dat hij eindigt met: “Major Winands has distinguished himself by his performance and brings great credit tot he Army and the Netherlands”.Dit werd nog eens bevestigd bij de Medal Parade in Bosnie waarbij ik niet alleen de NATO medaille kreeg, maar ook een tevredenheidsbetuiging van de Chef Staf van SFOR, de Duitse Bgen Wolfgang Köpke persoonlijk.Terug in Nederland werd ik (uiteraard) weer gewoon kapitein en ging ik weer verder met mijn IVZ functie bij RMC-Noord.Met het uitstekend functioneren als majoor op uitzending heeft defensie helaas verder niets gedaan.

Kjell Grandhagen er en norsk pensjonert generalløytnant i Hæren. Han var sjef for Etterretningstjenesten fra 2010 til 2016.  I tillegg til å ha vært etterretningsjef har han vært sjef for 6. divisjon, Hærens styrker og Krigsskolen. Han har ledet Presse- og informasjonsavdelingen i Forsvarets overkommando og vært militær assisterende departementsråd i Forsvarsdepartementet. Grandhagen har også tjenestegjort utenlands i Multinational Force and Observers i Egypt og i Den nordisk-polske brigaden i SFOR-styrken i Bosnia-Hercegovina, der han først var stabssjef og så sjef.
