As a former Spa Director with 14 years experience overseeing multi-million dollar operations as well as running her own successful online coaching business for 7 years, Gretchen now runs her own business as a Podcast Guesting Manager. She started her entrepreneurial journey when her first son was 9 months old and she realized the corporate grind and motherhood were running her into the ground. She was missing every little moment in her sons life and needed a change. She took a leap, quit her job and started her own online fitness coaching business while adding a second son to the mix 3 years later. After being stuck in Vegas while her husband was in NYC for 7 months due to covid (and a planned move with just really bad timing,) she found herself leaning away from her business and leaning into motherhood 100%. She struggled through this time as her depression and anxiety surged again, but after listening to her heart and gut she left her first business completely, spent one year working on her and being the stable support her family needed at that time. Now back in sunny Arizona with her family she is happily working while both boys are in school then flips the switch to busy sports boy mom in the evenings and spends weekends unplugged from social media and her business to truly spend time together as a family.Gretchen helps business owners build authority and generate leads quickly through her personalized podcast guesting program. With all the info out there, it is hard to know what the best vegan, cruelty-free and clean skincare products are. But our guest today is an industry expert and is sharing all the info we need to choose the best products! Taking care of our skin is so important. It's the largest organ we have! And nothing feels better than high quality products that are good for your body and actually work. Which is why I always turn to OSEA Malibu for all my skin care needs! Use my link above and code veggies10 for 10% off your first order! OSEA began in Jenefer's kitchen sink after a decade working as Spa Director at the historic Murrieta Hot Springs. Paired with her training in various healing modalities including Polarity Therapy, Acupressure, Shiatsu and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Jenefer was a thought leader in the burgeoning wellness space. Her desire to create active, vegan and clean skincare was revolutionary and what began as a personal passion soon evolved into a fully-fledged beauty brand, manifesting the seed of her idea into reality. What Does Clean Mean in Skincare? The term clean skincare doesn't have one set definition because it is not regulated by the government, so it is up to each brand to define what clean skincare means to them. In general, clean skincare uses products that are from the earth, sustainable and do not contain synthetic chemicals. They are often also vegan and cruelty-free. OSEA products focus on marine based elements. Most of their products are seaweed based. What Is the Difference Between Vegan and Cruelty-Free? When you look at a clean skincare brand, you often also see the labels vegan and cruelty-free. While these most often, and should, go hand in hand, they don't mean the same thing. Vegan means that they do not contain any animal products in the product itself. While cruelty-free means that the products are not tested on animals. Products can be cruelty-free but not vegan. But vegan products are also cruelty-free because vegan means that no animals were used at any point in making the product. Are Vegan, Cruelty-Free and Clean Skincare Products Best? Everyone has their own opinion on what products they believe are best. But over here, we focus on vegan, cruelty-free and clean skincare brands. They are more sustainable than those that use synthetic chemicals because they use ingredients from the earth. Typically, clean skincare tends to give people less of a reaction when using them. This is mostly because they don't contain synthetic chemicals and focus on earth based ingredients, however someone can react to ingredients from the earth as well. Reducing synthetically derived chemicals also makes it so that products can work with so many different skin types. Often times a person who thinks they have sensitive skin finds out it was just the chemicals they were reacting to and their skin is not that sensitive. Also, clean skincare tends to have sustainable packaging which is also another way to help the earth. OSEA for example packages their products in glass packaging. A vegan plant-based life is overall the most sustainable way for us to live, there is so much to choose from when it comes from earth! Ingredients in Clean Skincare Products Most clean skincare brands use ingredients from the earth. OSEA stands for Ocean, Sun, Earth and Atmosphere. But they mostly focus on marine based ingredients. Most of their products use seaweed as a base, and some use essential oils. Seaweed is rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals that are all amazing for your skin. Essential oils are another main ingredient used for clean skincare. They come from plants and capture the plants scent. How Do I Get a Clean Skincare Routine? First you need to find a product you love. OSEA is my go to! You also need to be consistent. You can't make progress on anything until you establish a good consistency.

Interviewing Cara was such a delightful experience. Cara clearly knows how to help others master the MLM industry, and in doing so, discovered her own desire to become a writer. Cara shares how her previous job as a Spa Director was perfect on paper, but in reality was a grind, and there was something missing. She discovered that her desire for more, led her to being driven by balance, and creating a financial future for her and her children. Cara talks about her many trips to California that she was blessed to be a part of, some of them all expenses paid. Cara talks about how grateful she is to have build amazing relationships with other women that she would have never have known, had she not taken the leap, and had faith. Cara and I both agreed that the negative energy about MLM is truly 'out there' and definitely not within the organization. Cara became an entrepreneur through the reputable company and brand of Rodan + Fields, and has gained such personal growth that put her on the fast track to the real her, that she is deeply driven to help others do the same through her own experience and her gentle authority.

Then we spoke with Michelle Ufer-Herold the Spa Director at Chateau Elan, Atlanta's best kept spa and resort secret. Everyone knows that losing weight is difficult because it is so tough to stick with your exercise program for any length of time. That's where The Fitness Challenge comes in. This game is for any age or fitness level. Players compete against each other during their 8 week game. Exercise 3 times in a week and you get a bunch of stars. The player with the most stars wins a prize. And this is where the fun comes in, the loser has to pay up. That could mean washing the winner's car, cleaning their house or babysitting their kid. This game is a great way to keep compliant. Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy are about to go head to head and give it a try. Check out Vicki's website www.fitnesschallenge.com for more information and all the places you can get the game. Vicki lost 60 pounds on it! When Dr Fitness took his girlfriend to the Chateau Elan for a romantic getaway he was blown away by the great food, the relaxing atmosphere and the superb service. He and his girlfriend left relaxed, recharged and refreshed. Michelle Ufer-Herold, the Spa Director shared some of the services and events that the doctor missed. For instance, each year you can stomp the grapes at the award winning vineyard that is on site. They also have a heated indoor pool, golf, tennis and horses for your pleasure. There is so much more to see and do, please check out their website www.chateauelan.com and see for yourself. They are having Valentine's Day specials so be sure to think of that if you want to be a star for your significant other this V-Day. As you know Dr Fitness is a chiropractor and he helps people deal with pain on a regular basis. He came across the Painmaster patch and he can't stop talking about it. This small portable device uses micro current therapy which uses small pulsating currents of electricity that cannot be felt on the afflicted area in order to alleviate the pain. You just slap a couple of these patches on the area that hurts and forgot about it for a few hours. Then low and behold you will be amazed at the improvement in the pain. It is common for patients to have pain at an 8 level when they go to sleep then wake up and the pain is down to a 3 or 4 level when they use the patches. Only doctors can prescribe this therapy so be sure to ask your doctor about it. If they have any questions they and you can check out Fran's websites www.painmastercanada.com or www.painmasterpatch.com Fran said that if you want to try the device risk free have your physician send an email to chris at painmasterproducts dot com and (for a limited time) he will send a device to your doctor for you to try at no charge. This device does a great job at reducing inflammation and helping injured cells to heal. Dr. Fitness also chimed in with his tips about what to do if you have a lot of weight to lose. Here are a few of Dr. Fitness' tips...Number 1, set short term goals. Number 2, manage your expectations...you didn't gain the weight in 30 days and you definitely won't lose the weight in 30 days. And Number 3, don't have an all or nothing mentality. If you only have time to exercise for 10 minutes do that...a little bit each day is better than nothing. There was a lot more from Dr. Fitness, so you will have to listen to the show to find out all the rest of these great tips. And I'm sure he'll post all the tips on his blog.
