It is a fundamental truth that we are all Children of God, and when we understand God as our Father, and not just a boss, our relationship with Him changes for good. Here are some key points to note from this sermon;- Your walk with God has not started until you begin to call God Father.- The revelation of the Fatherhood of God changes everything.- Our children are a reflection of God's glory, and raising them to know and praise Him, is one of the most powerful things we can do.- When children declare God's glory, it silences the enemy. As parents, our goal should be to raise godly children who know and love the Lord.We should learn to release words of blessings over our children, raise them in the way of the Lord, and recognize the sacredness and solitude of family.

This is the season when many of us pick up a toy or two for the local Christmas toy drive. When we think toys, most of us immediately consider what YOUNG children might want. But there's a need for gifts for teenagers, too. A few years back, a Deer Lake woman started a toy drive with a focus on older children and youth. Amanda Laite-Rogers is the organizer of the Autumn and Freya Toy Drive for Teens.

Join us as Keturah shares what it means to her to come from Old Order Amish heritage, what it was like growing up Beachy Amish Mennonite in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and a little about her palliative care work with infants and families as a nurse at the Clinic for Special Children in Strasburg, Pa.Content and potential trigger warnings include death and dying of children, genetic birth defects, and religious language.Keturah Beiler (she/her) works as a nurse at the Clinic for Special Children in Strasburg, Pa where she does palliative care for infants and children in Amish and Mennonite communities. Experiencing death and dying with these families Keturah has learned to be present for, and even embrace life's joys and pain. Keturah's roots are Old Order Amish/Mennonite, which honors by raising her children with the same values while also allowing them broader opportunities. She is married with three children, ages 17-23, and lives in the farmhouse where her husband was born and raised in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The old house has taught them that progress is messy, not often linear or static, and that there's always another task right around the corner (or living in the corner!). And such is life: the work and joy of living and learning.

Sim Shain, Founder and CEO of ParaFlight EMS and Aviation, has led a remarkable 27-year career working in the pre-hospital emergency medical space. He is a noteworthy leader who takes on challenging responsibilities leading corporate, medical, and charity flights and missions specializing in organ transplants. As a volunteer paramedic, Sim's passion for facilitating surgical teams and harvested organs safely and efficiently to hospitals for procedures was born out of the atrocities of 9-11. A very close friend of Sim's was a philanthropist who had his own jet and outfitted it with a stretcher and oxygen ─ and sent Sim on missions. This same friend was near ground zero on 9-11 and was struck with cancer. Before he passed away, he urged Sim to carry on his dedication. Sim is surging forward with this endeavor in his memory. Sim's own experience driving an ambulance into ground zero on 9-11 has further fueled his mission for saving lives. He is on the official list of first responders and fortunately has not experienced any health issues thus far. Sim is a devoted volunteer who contributes towards numerous well-known organizations such as Chai Lifeline's Camp Simcha, United Hatzalah of Israel, The Special Children's Center, Birthright Israel, and providing Hatzolah EMS, in-flight medical support to children with cancer and disabilities, free of charge. 039 Bonus Episode (Thoughts & Training): The Special ChildrenThe Special Children or as Tim Whild calls them The New Children, are the ones that are born since 2012 and onward. I have one child that was born after that and my sister has two. This episode she researched the subject to present to you, exactly who are the special children and how are they different. What are their purpose and how do you help them? Those are some of the questions we try to answer in this episode. Our next episode will be released on 2021-11-11 and it will be precisely 1 year since we started the podcast and we have a very special episode for you! But we release Bonusepisodes every week between our monthly episodes. And there is one more Tony Robbins week before the next episode so stay tuned! Be the Light. Share the Light. Spread the Light. Shine!LDS AND MEDIUM PODCAST BACKGROUND:I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, or LDS for short. All my life I felt awkward and out of place, not because of my religion, but because of my spiritual gifts. It was hard to combine the idea of what first seemed like two separate worlds. So my whole life I have tried. I have learnt more about my gifts, and stayed faithful to my faith. But then I heard people left the church because it seems impossible to combine the two. So I am here, to try and mend the rift. To show that it is possible to be both LDS and to have, and use, our spiritual gifts. I am not alone on this journey, but my sister, who just is waking up to her spiritual gifts is by my side and she will also share her story.Jesus Christ, our older brother, was a healer. He asked us to love one another. So let´s follow in his footsteps. We're excited to bring on Amber Smith for this episode, not only a former Army helicopter pilot who served in Iraq and Afghanistan flying the Kiowa Warrior, but also former Deputy Assistant for Outreach to none of than General Mattis, and we get into all of that. We also get Smith's take on fellow pilot Tammie Jo Shults emergency one engine landing on Southwest Airlines this past week. Though it resulted in a tragic death and several injuries, Smith contends that the repercussions could have been far worse without the cool-headed Navy veteran in the cockpit. Amber's book "Danger Close" details her combat missions, and Jack noticed in reading the memoir that they served in Tal Afar, Iraq around the same time. Other topics covered with Amber include the civilian/military divide (something she's addressed while working for the D.O.D.) and what the future holds for the possibility of women in spec ops. We cover the news of Raul Castro stepping down as leader of Cuba, as well as our disgust over 7th Special Forces Group veteran William Mrozek being arrested for heinous sexual crimes on children. We answer your emails sent to sofrep.radio@sofrep.com, which leads to an interesting discussion on Turkey as well. Also, be sure to check out our raffle on SOFREP.com benefiting The Special Children's Center in NYC, providing services to families of 450 children with developmental disabilities. Two groups of people that shy away from many technologies — Amish and Mennonites — are actually on the cutting edge when it comes to genetics. An Amish woman who works at the Clinic for Special Children as well as a doctor tell the stories of their Amish patients — some heartbreaking, some life-affirming — who are grappling with when and how to let technology into their lives. Back in New York City, a visit to a place at the opposite end of the spectrum of genetic diversity: The New York Genome Center, which houses a ton of genomes from people around New York and the world.
