As seen on Oprah Winfrey and Ellen Degeneres, past-life psychic. spiritual teacher and award-winning author, Ainslie MacLeod, joins Kelly to talk about soul ages, soul personalities, past lives and more. Ainslie describes his hesitant journey to accepting his psychic abilities and how he communicates with spirit guides now to give people information about their own soul's journey. Kelly asks Ainslie to explain why he believes that our own understanding of our past lives is the place where we can find the most healing for our current life experience. "Remember, your destiny is not some intangible, distant goal that you might, if you are lucky, discover before you die. As long as it's consistent with your life plan, your destiny is what you're doing right now." Ainslie explains soul families and those weird moments where you meet a total stranger, yet you feel like you've known them for years. He also details his beliefs about what happens to souls and where they go in between lives here on earth. "In choosing circumstances of its birth, your soul was actually thinking, 'what circumstances do I need to help me evolve?' Your soul is nothing if not pragmatic and it's elected your family for its own personal development." He also describes how young soul's and old soul's personalities are being played out politically right now. Original Air Date: April 1, 2019On a special edition of “Super Soul Conversations,” Oprah Winfrey discusses her book, “The Path Made Clear: Discovering Your Life's Direction and Purpose,” featuring some of the most profound insights and Aha! moments. In this follow-up to her New York Times best-selling book “The Wisdom of Sundays,” Oprah shares her own key lessons and the personal stories that helped set the course for her best life. Hear from luminaries and trailblazers in a wide array of fields share the life lessons that helped them find meaning and purpose in their own lives: A.R. Bernard, Sue Monk Kidd, Shefali Tsabary, Elizabeth Gilbert, Caroline Myss, Brian Grazer, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Tracy Morgan, Sister Joan Chittister, Wintley Phipps, Shauna Niequist, Wes Moore, Amy Purdy, Adyashanti, Steven Pressfield, Iyanla Vanzant, Michael Singer, India.Arie, Gary Zukav, Michael Beckwith, Carole Bayer Sager, Janet Mock, Brene Brown, Barbara Brown Taylor, Marianne Williamson, Brother David Steindl-Rast, Shonda Rhimes, Jay-Z, Eckhart Tolle, Joe Biden, Tracy McMillan, Glennon Doyle, Stephen Colbert, Thich Nhat Hanh, Gloria Steinem, Jimmy Carter, Lynne Twist, Bryan Stevenson, John Lewis, Cicely Tyson, Jordan Peele, Trevor Noah, Jeff Weiner, Goldie Hawn and Elizabeth Lesser. If you are feeling stuck or at a crossroads, wondering if there is more to life, “The Path Made Clear” provides inspiration and guidance to help you discover not only who you are, but who you are meant to be.
Februar. Sie erreichen uns per Mail an okamerica@zeit.de.
Today's episode is a little different. We often mention our dear friend Katie, who has transformed herself over the years from a melancholy teenager into a contented adult. After healing past traumas and learning to practice radical acceptance through years of therapy, she became a therapist herself. Now she helps her clients make the same kinds of positive changes in their lives. When Katie visited Jackson this summer, Melia insisted that she share her secrets, the practices that help her find happiness within herself, in the here and now. She tells us how cognitive-behavioral techniques -- choosing our thoughts and actions -- can change not only our feelings in the moment, but also our overall sense of happiness and fulfillment. We hope that you'll find these takeaways especially helpful during this busy holiday season, when our many commitments can feel less than jolly. You can contact Katie via podcast@semitogether.com, and she is taking new clients based in California and Minnesota, via teletherapy. What resonates with you in this conversation? A lot has been happening in our corner of the world this week, so we spend a good amount of time catching up. Ceara got to see her family out in South Carolina and have some quality sibling time. Allison was busy at the shop with Black Friday, is having *another* existential crisis, and is inviting some new perspectives in. We got the idea for this episode from The Aubrey Marcus Podcast # 317 ‘Secrets of Taoism and The Rebel Monk' where they discussed a piece of literature. We thought it would be fun to share some quotes from our favorite books that we've been reading lately. The conversation goes a few different directions as the quotes spark a variety of topics. This is a mini Self-Help-Bible episode as we really cover a lot of ground. There's certainly something for everyone in this one.Books Mentioned -The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark MansonSalt Water by Brianna WiestThe Mountain Is You: Transforming Self-Sabotage Into Self-Mastery by Brianna WiestWhy Quantum Physicists Play "Grow a Greater You": Learn How to Live the Most Truly Fulfilling Life Humanly Possible by Greg KuhnYou Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life by Jen SinceroHow to Laugh in Ironic Amusement During Your Existential Crisis by James MccraeTribe of Mentors by Timothy Ferris Simplify Your Life by Elaine St. JamesThe Wisdom of Sundays - Life-Changing Insights from Super Soul Conversations, Oprah Winfrey How To Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie The Four-Hour Work Week by Tim FerrisThe Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment by Eckhart TolleThe Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom by Don Miguel RuizCreating Affluence by Deepak Chopra Quit Like A Woman: The Radical Choice to Not Drink in a Culture Obsessed with Alcohol by Holly Whitaker 101 Essays That Will Change The Way You Think by Brianna West Podcasts Mentioned -Tristan Harris, Star of The Social Dilemma Documentary on The Joe Rogan Podcast The Tim Ferris Show by Tim FerrisEckhart Tolle: Essential Teachings The Tony Robbins PodcastBeyond the Self with Africa BrookeAubrey Marcus PodcastSocial Links:Already Friends Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/werealreadyfriends/Ceara's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/cearakirk/Allison's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/allisonwetig/Ceara's TikTok:https://www.tiktok.com/@cearakirk?Allison's TikTok:https://www.tiktok.com/@allisonwetig?

Check out Oprah and Michelle Obama Episode: Your Life in Focus or Becoming. Michelle recalls a conversation with her daughters complaining about not fitting into her own clothes. The former first lady elloquently explains that being angry about your body changing as you age is the equivalent to a teenager being angry they no longer fit into toddlers clothes. Secondly, I referenced the quote ”The amount in which we love ourselves directly impacts our ability to show up and love others.“ - which is a quote from Brene Brown's book The Gifts of Imperfection. #bingeeatingdisorderrecovery #icandothispodcast #canadian #overcomer

Aired 3/8/20 — just before the pandemic hit! This is the last major event I attended live . . . replaying now for some thought-starters to help shape our 2021 new year visioning :) This week’s Pivot Podcast is a field report from seeing one of my heroes live! I attended Oprah’s 2020 Vision Tour: Your Life in Focus in Brooklyn in early February, and I was so curious going into this event that I thought you might like to hear about the experience and key takeaways. Oprah is inviting a different headliner from each stop on the tour (ours was Michelle Obama), so if you want a peek into other cities and guests, listen to her Super Soul Conversations podcast — she’s had equally wonderful conversations with Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Kate Hudson, Tracee Ellis Ross, and more. Check out full show notes from this episode with links to resources mentioned at http://PivotMethod.com/158. Enjoying the show? Pivot Podcast is listener supported—consider donating to become a Pivot Insider and you’ll get access to a private monthly Q&A call where you can ask me anything, and discuss the latest books, tools and topics I’ve shared in recent episodes. Next up: We’ll be kicking-off the new year together on January 13 and I’d love for you to join us!

ON THIS EPISODEToday we're talking about those pesky creative limitations that everyone has, you know that self talk that stops you from creating to your full potential. It might have started passively, somewhere along the way you believed you aren't an artist, or there was a pivotal moment that stopped you or hindered your creative process. Regardless, we can work through these limitations and start living a creative life. I've been an artist my entire life, through and through, yet I still hindered my creative process by picking up limitations along the way. Teaching my own inclusive community art classes freed me from my limitations because it started to open my eyes to the limitations that held me back and I did not want to pass onto my students. I wanted to provide them with the most value and experience without learning boundaries and refining their creativity. As I worked through this, I began to realize these pesky limitations were holding me back from my potential. Then I began to work through them. Listen to the full episode to start identifying and working through your creative limitations so start living a creative life too.REFERENCESJoin me October 5-9th for the SECOND Unleash Your Art 5 day challenge that will help open your eyes to the art you haven't discovered yet or haven't given yourself time to explore! Dr. Karen Barnard, Karen was born in South Africa and at an early age of 15 years, she was encouraged by a school teacher to pursue a career in medicine. Karen knew that she felt driven to live a life of service of some kind, and this happened to align well with what she saw for her future. So at the age of 18 in South Africa, Karen began her training as a doctor, finished medical school and moved to the United States. At that point, she trained here as a general internist and then subsequently chose endocrinology as an area of specialization. After a 30 year career, Karen felt intuition, leading her to a change of career. She knew that she still continued to desire a life of service of some sort, and she landed on life coaching.Speaker 1 00:01:55 She began training as a life coach in 2019. Freaking FEAR. There can be such a love/hate relationship with fear. I am currently dealing with facing fear + letting it go in certain areas so I can welcome JOY. I have lived a majority of my life in fear. It has held me captive for so many years, and finally I feel like I am learning to really let it go... FINALLY. But it hasn't been without a lot of work. Today I want to share with you some things I have done to help me move through fear. I can't wait to hear how they help you as well. This may not be in the order I shared on the podcast, but it works for this. 1. JOURNALING Wow. This has been a huge step in helping me face fear. I have been journaling for about 5 years. Being able to be super raw and real with myself as I journal has been a big help in moving through feelings such as fear. I recently heard about Future-Self Journaling with @theholisticpsychologist from a few friends, and I am beyond excited to start. I can't wait to share more with you after I finish my first 30 days. I'll make sure to keep you posted. 2. PODCAST Ok. Just to put it out there.. I am a podcast JUNKIE. I love being able to listen as I workout, clean, drive, and do whatever else I doing. There are so many amazing people in the podcast world, and you can find so many topics... like the one I heard a few weeks ago when I was trying to talk my husband and Parker out of letting Parker go on a huge cross country trip with Ben all because of FEAR. I happened to be listening to Super Soul Conversations with Oprah, and it just so happened to be one with Brene Brown who I LOVE. She was talking about forbidding joy in her life, and let me tell you.. it struck me into the deepest part of my soul. I knew fear held me back a lot of my life, but this was like here it is served on a platter, let's work on this. BAM! So, I encourage you to listen to podcasts if you are dealing with whatever. You can find a ton out there that help you to move forward, and ones that encourage you to keep going. 3. EMDR THERAPY I know not everyone has the resources to go to therapy, which is why I put this last on the list, but I encourage you to reach out to local resources in your area because there are so many times they have money to give to people to get the help they need. That is how I got started, and I can't even begin to describe what it did for me. Therapy. A word I ran from for most my life (more on that another time), but holy smokes it has been the BEST thing that has happened to me this past year. I heard about EMDR from a therapist friend, and so I decided I wanted to meet with someone who would do EMDR on me if I was a fit. I could go on and on about what EMDR has done for me, but today I want to talk about how EMDR therapy helped me to reset my emotions. I worked on ANGER and FEAR. It was so cool how simple it was, and how much it has helped me. Not to mention that it came right when I needed it the most with facing the fear of letting Parker go with Ben on this big trip. If you have a therapist, reach out to them about helping you with your emotions, and anything else you are needing direction with. With all this being said... I can't wait to hear how you are facing your fears. It could be the smallest step or the biggest leap, and I want to hear about it. Make sure to screenshot this episode and post in your stories!! That way I can encourage you to keep on going. Thank you for being a part of this community. Loneliness is really daunting for a dentist. That's why this episode of Feeling Good is dedicated to understanding where this loneliness comes from and the strategies you can start using today to start feeling less lonely. Modern humans, with all of our self-driving cars and smartphones, are lonelier than we've ever been. Connectivity is essential to our survival, and individual human beings are wired to be interdependent. This doesn't mean co-dependent. Rather, this is our evolution telling us to connect and work together with other members of our species. Unfortunately, with all of our modern amenities, it's become much harder for us to connect and get those warm fuzzies from being together with the members of our tribe. In this episode, I'm taking a closer look at this tribe mentality with a little help from Sebastian Junger's book Tribe. I pull some examples from his book as well as from my own experiences as both a dentist and a life coach to get a closer look at why it's so lonely being a dentist. It's a thing I call “the isolation of the dentist” - where we're loved by some, feared by others, and the people we spend the most time with (our staff) is paid to be there. None of these experiences help us interconnect, but I'm sharing a few strategies that will bring that connectivity back into your daily life. The biggest strategy I'm sharing on this episode of Feeling Good is how you can change the way you think about being lonely. Remember from my previous episodes where I discussed how thoughts become things? Keep that in mind as you listen to this episode. Your lonely pattern of thinking will only increase that lonely feeling if you don't manage your thoughts. Here's a few tricks to help you change that mindset: Hack your biology by reaching out to help someone who looks lonely, whether that's a friend, a patient, or a stranger at the grocery store. Stop looking at social media to find a connection. Reach out to those friends online and make plans to meet up in real life. Think back to a time when you were connecting with your favorite humans and let that positive memory influence your pattern of thinking That is just a sneak peek of the strategies I'm sharing today. I go into these tricks and so many more for managing your lonely thoughts. If you'd like to learn more about what it means to be a lonely dentist and how you can change your thinking, tune in now and visit my website The Life Coach for Busy Dentists. In This Episode You Will Learn The biological reasons why humans want to be with other humans 2:45 How our hormones drive us to be interdependent 6:24 The ways this interdependence is missing in your modern lives 8:44 What loneliness feels like for a dentist 11:22 How your lonely thoughts can isolate you even more 14:00 Some strategies you can use right now to feel less lonely 16:16 Ways to manage those lonely thoughts 18:49 Resources: Visit my website: TheLifeCoachForBusyDentists.com Listen to more episodes: Feeling Good Podcast Read the book from this episode: Tribe by Sebastian Junger Check out Oprah's podcast: Super Soul Conversations

How can we accept the journey we're on, the struggles we face and how far we have to go while at the same time remaining generous and supportive of other's happiness and success? CAN WE UNPACK THAT FURTHER? In other words we mean, how can we fight against the struggle not to feel incredibly jealous all the time? Particularly when it's towards friends and family. We admit that this isn't an easy topic to talk about honestly but go on to point out our focus here is on finding a way to nurture our feelings of generosity rather than indulging our feelings of jealousy. SO HOW CAN WE CULTIVATE GENEROSITY? After confessing that jealousy is something we definitely struggle with, we begin to unravel how being generous to others can help us feel better about ourselves, using our own experiences to build a handy tips and tricks section on how to get a handle on jealousy and encourage generosity. We also mention Oprah Winfrey's podcast Super Soul Conversations and another podcast hosted by Dacher Keltner called The Science of Happiness; in particular referencing episode 7 (12th Mar. 2018) and his conversation with journalist Tod Zwillich along with research carried out by neuroscientist Christina Karns on the science of gratitude. WHAT CAN WE CONCLUDE FROM ALL THIS? Increasing our generosity is all about knowing our own life has value. If we can find acceptance for the journey we're on and be grateful for what we have now then we can become more generous to others. WHAT DO WE RECOMMEND? Each week we finish by recommending something we think is brilliant that is doing the good fail. Today we bring you: https://www.pri.org/programs/science-happiness/how-gratitude-benefits-your-brain (The Science of Happiness) A podcast hosted by Dacher Keltner, professor of psychology, that utilises a scientific approach to the mindfulness movement, great for all the sceptics out there. Ego needs to create nice clean boxes for everything to fit in. It ties itself to forms to identify you and all around you. Today we discuss that and use Mark 6:7-13 to discuss this. We also borrow a section from Oprah Winfrey's podcast SuperSoul Conversations where she sits with Eckhart Tolle to discuss his… Read More »Mythical Jesus: 031: Ego and the Formless The post Mythical Jesus: 031: Ego and the Formless appeared first on Christ of Faith.
Today we play catch up: how successful we were at being randomly kind, our latest favorite podcasts (Root of Evil, Who the Hell is Hamish, Sweaty & Pissed, Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend, Bill Burr's Monday Morning Podcast, and Oprah's SuperSoul Conversations). And then get into the weeds with TNT's limited series "I Am The Night" which has a twist on the Black Dahlia murder. Um, just ignore the whining about celebrity podcasts with built-in listeners. Unlike our coffee, we really are not THAT bitter.
You were here to serve a unique purpose and to fill an ultimate calling that only you can fill. If you're feeling misaligned with your work, that's a tell-tale sign that you haven't stepped into the Universe's greater plan for you. You're here to add value to the lives of others and to be the greatest version of you. Even if you don't love your job, there's still hope. By being grateful for your current role, recognizing the self-betrayal of doing misaligned work and contemplating a higher purpose for your life, you move into work that's meaningful.
