(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Myanmar ceasefire extended to June 30 despite consistent violations The military junta ruling Myanmar announced last week that it would extend a temporary ceasefire, originally established in early April, to June 30, reports International Christian Concern. A massive earthquake struck the country in late March, killing 3,700 people and necessitating extensive relief work in hard-hit civilian areas.  Opposition militias agreed to the extended ceasefire, creating hope for improved humanitarian conditions in June despite regular junta violations of the ceasefire up to now. In the first three weeks of the ceasefire alone, the U.N. tracked at least 172 junta attacks, including airstrikes and artillery assaults.  The open-source research group Bellingcat documented that at least 22 villages were bombed by the junta in violation of the ceasefire agreement.  Senator Cruz wants June to be “Life” month because Roe was overturned Last Thursday, Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas introduced a resolution to designate June as Life month to honor the anniversary of the Supreme Court's monumental Dobbs decision to overturn Roe v. Wade on June 24, 2022. CRUZ: “Three years ago, the Supreme Court made an historic advance in the cause of life in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization.  The court overturned Roe v. Wade, a flawed decision that for nearly 50 years enshrined one of the most disturbing notions in our constitutional history: that the Constitution somehow protects the right to end the life of an unborn child. “The fact is, Roe had nothing to do with the Constitution. It was invented whole cloth. It was the product of judicial activism, nine justices legislating from the bench. And that dangerous path took decades to correct. “Thankfully, in 2022, Roe was overturned.  Dobbs did not impose any new policies from the bench. Instead, the task of protecting life falls where it always should have been -- not in the hands of unelected judges, but in the hands of the American people.” Canadian pastor imprisoned for objecting to Drag Queen Story Hour Calgary Pastor Derek Reimer, a street preacher who has had the courage to object to drag queen story hours for children in libraries, is back in jail in Alberta, Canada, reports the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. The conviction came after Reimer confronted a library manager over a Drag Queen Story Hour event, reports Rebel News. Wearing a GoPro, he walked into the library, spoke to a few attendees, and eventually found the room where the event was taking place. He told the manager the program was "pervert grooming" and warned, "We're going to make your name public and hold you accountable." Security escorted him out peacefully. Later, he posted the video online — along with the manager's name, workplace, and the library phone number — calling on viewers to voice their opposition. Only one person reportedly contacted her, but the librarian testified that she became afraid of what might happen next. She shut down her social media accounts and said Reimer's words left her anxious and fearful. The 38-year-old pastor was arrested and accused of breaching the house arrest condition of his sentence for simply participating in a public rally before his own court appearance. Pastor Reimer, who has now been jailed unjustly at the Calgary Remand Centre for over a month, has been treated badly. The judicial officials have blocked all visitors from seeing him, even the ones who were pre-approved. The only ones allowed to visit Pastor Reimer are his wife, Mona, and their baby. Derek's lawyer, Andrew Mackenzie, hopes that media attention on Reimer's unfair treatment will lead to a more positive outcome. Concerned Christian friends have been gathering for a rally of support at the Remand Centre every Sunday afternoon at 4:30pm, protesting Pastor Reimer's incarceration and bail denial. Please pray for justice to be served on Pastor Reimer's next court date on Monday, June 23rd. NASA perdería 41 misiones científicas si se aprueba el presupuesto de Trump  La propuesta de Trump reduciría el presupuesto de la NASA un 25 %, eliminando misiones a Marte, Venus, la Tierra y el espacio profundo.     Por Félix Riaño @LocutorCo  La NASA está a punto de enfrentar el mayor recorte de presupuesto en su historia si se aprueba la propuesta del expresidente Donald Trump para el año fiscal 2026. La medida implicaría una reducción de 24.800 a 18.800 millones de dólares, lo que representa un recorte del 25 %. Eso dejaría a la agencia en su nivel más bajo de financiación desde hace décadas, ya ajustado a inflación. Se cancelarían más de 40 misiones científicas, incluyendo observatorios de asteroides, sondas a Marte y programas de monitoreo climático desde el espacio. ¿Estamos viendo el fin de una era en la exploración espacial estadounidense?  Trump también amenaza con romper contratos con SpaceX.  El 30 de mayo, la NASA recibió la versión detallada del presupuesto 2026 propuesto por Trump. The State Department's most senior diplomat for Africa, Troy Fitrell, the senior official in the Bureau of African Affairs, appeared before the Senate Foreign Relations Sub-Committee on Africa this week to explain the new policy with a particular focus on how the U.S. should challenge "China's malign influence in Africa." Afterwards, Mark contrasts Alexander Hamilton's vision of a strong central government with Jefferson and Madison's preference for limited federal power and strong state authority. Hamilton's ideas, like a lifelong executive and senators, were rejected by most framers, who favored state-centric governance, as Madison emphasized in Federalist 45. The debate ended with Cruz hilariously referring to Booker as “Spartacus.” 6:30pm- On Monday, statistician and political analyst Nate Silver shared a survey which indicates 45% of self-identifying “liberals” suffer from “poor” mental health—suggesting there could be a correlation between “excellent” mental health and conservative political views. 6:40pm- In a new article posted to his Substack, statistician and political analyst Nate Silver attempts to answer the question: why do young men dislike Democrats? Silver concludes that young males are largely ambitious, entrepreneurial, and strong believers in individualism. Contrarily, the Democrat Party is viewed as risk averse and overly controlling. Additionally, the Democratic Party's fixation with politically correct speech is perceived as restrictive and hostile towards humor.

Right versus left. Democrat versus Republican. Liberal versus Conservative. These are the terms we are all too familiar with that practically serve to symbolize the political struggle between good and evil, freedom and tyranny, or big and small government. But if the last 50 years of politics have proven anything, it's that these labels mean shockingly little. Whether it's Reagan opening the nation's floodgates via amnesty under a Republican elephant or the supposedly anti-big corporation Democrats mandating an untested vaccine, both ideas functionally operate as little more than two sides of the same coin. The yard sign changes every four years, but the underlying assumptions and commitments to liberal democracy don't.Yet when you trace the intellectual formation of the American conservative identity you find that wasn't always the case. Something happened in the '60s and '70s that broke our connection to our English, Anglo, and Protestant past and made America into the degenerate war hawk it became in the '90s and early 2000s. Committed to a defense of Israel and esoteric readings of the Ancient Greek philosophers, influential academics like Leo Strauss and Harry Jaffa—alongside journalists like Irving Kristol—birthed a powerful new flavor of conservatism that took root in the American consciousness.This supposedly right-wing political thought had little differences with the left in its embrace of liberal democracy and equality, but served its purpose in turning America into a dominant foreign adversary alongside a compelling narrative about its embrace of creedal nationhood and the peoples of the world. But as the downstream effects of decades of universal suffrage and propositional nationhood come home to roost, neoconservatism offers shockingly little substance in the way of resistance or conserving our Christian European heritage. Populism and revolution are on the rise, and the strong gods are coming home.It's time to stop calling ourselves conservatives and falling into the same dialectical trap again and again. We are not neocons and we are not interested in the solutions of Mitt Romney, Ted Cruz, and Mitch McConnell. Like the Founding Fathers who risked it all to forge a new, self-governed future, we also need real and potentially radical solutions to our dilemma.
