Trump has pulled back from the brink, but not before he publicly attacked European leaders, including Keir Starmer. The British prime minister also expressed publicly his opposition to Trump's plans to ‘control' Greenland and threaten tariffs. Outside the EU and with a US President launching threats and public onslaughts, where is Britain's place in the world? Plus, brilliant questions on the split between Reform and the Conservatives.

In this episode of Boardroom Talk, Alec Hogg dissects the guest list for the 56th World Economic Forum in Davos—and finds a gathering that looks less like a global village and more like a victory lap for the new Western order. The “Trump” Factor: How the return of Donald Trump, alongside leaders like Javier Milei and new Canadian PM Mark Carney, has turned Davos into a “fan club” for the populist right. The BRICS Boycott: With no Xi Jinping, no Lula, and no Ramaphosa, is the “Spirit of Dialogue” actually just a Western monologue? The AI Takeover: Why the real power brokers this year aren't politicians, but tech titans like Jensen Huang and Satya Nadella. SA's Missed Open Goal: Why President Ramaphosa's absence is a strategic failure right after South Africa's removal from the EU high-risk list. Alec argues that the WEF has fundamentally changed, perhaps explaining why his own invitation - serving a constituency in South Africa that's not terribly appealing to the new WEF bosses - was rescinded after 19 years. Is this the end of the globalist era? Listen now to understand the new geopolitical fault lines drawn in the Swiss snow. #Davos2026 #WEF26 #DonaldTrump #BRICS #AlecHogg #BizNews #SouthAfrica #AI #Geopolitics #GlobalEconomy

Writer, reporter, Smoke ‘Em If You Got ‘Em co-host, and pie baker extraordinaire Nancy Rommelmann returns to Uncertain Things to talk (again) about a topic she knows all too well: Portland. In 2021, she lambasted the way the media was distorting what was happening on the ground by underplaying the violence. Four years later, she's lamenting the way the President and his cronies are distorting what's happening on the ground by overplaying the violence. We get into ICE's antics, Portland's response (so far), and the “heroes” making headlines. Then we switch tacts to share our thoughts on the (much discussed) Klein-Coates interview, and Adaam is remarkably reserved in his epithets. The Trump Route for Peace & Prosperity. Két izgalmas epizódja is megjelent a Trump Show legújabb évadának, mióta múlt csütörtökön a Heti Válasz legutóbb jelentkezett.

Edition No169 | 26-06-2025 - Appeasing Trump seems to have been the tone and substance of the NATO Summit that has just ended. Maybe it's worked. Maybe the perceived victory is illusory and temporary. America's traditional allies pledged to spend a lot more on defence, but the details are sketchy to put it mildly. At least, the Western democracies may conclude, that a Trump toddler meltdown, like that which took place in the Oval Office was averted.“Donald, you have driven us to a really, really important moment for America and Europe and the world,” wrote Mark Rutte, in a statement that managed to be both obsequious and condescending at the same time. “Europe is going to pay in a BIG way, as they should, and it will be your win.” A day later Mr Rutte went further, referring to the president as “Daddy”, in a moment of pure cringe. Was Mr Rutte's strategy was degrading or inspired, no one could decide. But it is an indication of how far Trump has dragged the tone down to his level. Rutte, Nato secretary-general, praised the US president for his galvanising effect. “Dear Donald, you made this change possible,” referring to the increase in defence spending to 5% of GDP.NATO's Potemkin Summit: Words Over Actions? In this episode of Silicon Bites, we delve into the recent NATO Potemkin Summit, dominated by attempts to appease Donald Trump. Despite soaring promises and new defense spending targets, the tangible actions and details remain vague. The summit reveals the increasing pressure European allies feel to cater to Trump, often at the expense of addressing critical issues like Russia's ongoing aggression toward Ukraine and other NATO members. Key moments include discussions about defense spending, with some nations resisting the 5% GDP target, and Trump's ambiguous commitment to NATO's Article 5. The episode underscores the complexities and contradictions in transatlantic relations under Trump's influence.----------CHAPTERS:00:00:00 Introduction and Channel Support00:00:30 NATO Summit Overview00:00:32 Trump's Influence and Reactions00:01:48 Defense Spending Commitments00:02:26 Russia's Threat and NATO's Response00:02:56 Spain's Resistance and Internal Issues00:04:21 Concerns Over NATO's Preparedness00:07:23 Trump's Ambiguous Stance on Article Five00:09:20 European Allies' Perspective00:12:10 Conclusion and Final Thoughts----------LINKS: https://www.economist.com/europe/2025/06/25/at-a-tricky-nato-summit-a-trumpian-meltdown-is-avertedhttps://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2025/jun/25/the-guardian-view-on-the-nato-summit-europe-must-take-the-path-of-strategic-self-reliancehttps://news.sky.com/story/there-were-toe-curling-displays-of-affection-towards-daddy-trump-at-the-nato-summit-but-like-it-or-not-it-worked-13388735https://theconversation.com/how-nato-summit-shows-europe-and-us-no-longer-have-a-common-enemy-259842https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2025/06/25/nato-summit-trump-ukraine-war-zelensky-starmer/----------Car for Ukraine has once again joined forces with a group of influencers, creators, and news observers during this summer. How is everyone enjoying Season 2 of the Trump Show so far? Some promising steps have been taken, especially with the reorganization of many government agencies. Still, there are aspects of his administration that should give even the most ardent supporters pause. It wouldn't be a Trump administration without unhinged rants, narcissistic delusions, and off-the-wall ideas like renaming the Gulf of Mexico, acquiring Canada, and buying Greenland. Surrounding himself with sociopaths has continued into his second term, and the march towards World War 3 and Technocracy is happening at an alarming rate. Get your popcorn. [SEGMENT 2-1] Be thankful Be thankful to God. Not just for the results of the election, which we are still feeling the glow over. But His influence in your life is much bigger than that. Here's what I know. Your life is richer today, than it was prior to Nov 5. Perhaps you learned more about a few people than you knew before. Do you feel just that much freer? Are you more confident that you were on the right track spiritually? [X] SB – Black woman on Kamala Harris denying God [SEGMENT 2-2] Celebrity endorsements Kamala Haris paid celebrities to support her, and it backfired. Trump paid nobody and they clamor the be around him. As you look at Trump's team, you see the celebrity of brilliance. Meritocracy is back. Trump is appointing people who get the job done. They aren't concerned about egos and so on. The media intimated that Elon Musk is becoming a pain to Trump, hanging around too much and so on. One of the world's richest men doesn't have anything to do, so he just keeps annoying Trump's transition team? I'm not buying that. Trump is officially a phenom. Surviving the relentless attacks by the Left notwithstanding, Trump's actions post-election have the Left reeling. Not only have they lost credulity and voters, but they are losing control of the culture. Trump goes anywhere and he's adored. I'm noting a LOT more celebrities, particularly entertainers speaking out about Trump Look at all the athletes doing the Trump dance. And this is being seen ALL OVER THE WORLD. [SEGMENT 2-3] Trump's celebrity 1 The Tyson fight reminds me of Republicans. All hype. It took an outsider, Trump to revamp politics. If you missed the Tyson fight, you missed nothing. And if you missed any Republican investigations or hearings, the same applies. All these people do is talk. James Comer had the Bidens dead to rights, and what have we heard about that. Hunter Biden was convicted, and you can bet he will get a slap on the wrist soon that will barely be reported. [X] SB – Catherine Herridge with IRS whistleblowers The President took many members of his transition team, but the one who stuck out was Speaker Mike Johnson. As Laura Loomer put it, “Mike Johnson finally gets to hang out with the cool kids!” She nailed it… [SEGMENT 2-4] Trump's celebrity 2 [X] SB – Black woman loves waking up to Trump cabinet picks [X] SB – Wiley Nickel shadow cabinet [X] SB – Gavin Newsom on thwarting Trump Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-kevin-jackson-show--2896352/support.
John is joined by actor and director Jason Bateman to discuss the runaway success of SmartLess, his podcast with Will Arnett and Sean Hayes, which was recently snapped up by SiriusXm for $100 million. Bateman—whose Emmy and Golden Globe-winning career spans four-plus decades, carrying him from “Little House on the Prairie” and “Teen Wolf Too” to “Arrested Development” and “Ozark”—reveals the recipe for SmartLess's secret sauce; why A-list Democrats (Kamala Harris, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Bill Clinton, and Tim Walz) find the show a low-key, high-impact place to visit; why the surreal reality show that is Donald Trump's public life has finally jumped the shark; and how the hair required for his role in “Black Rabbit,” his forthcoming Netflix limited series with Jude Law, launched a thousand Jason/Jesus memes.
