Most people try to “heal” their brain with supplements, mindset, or meditation—but this episode reveals the deeper protocol to actually grow a new brain, reverse stress damage, activate 1,100 healing genes, and unlock higher human performance at any age. You'll learn how neuroplasticity, mitochondria repair, plant-based NRF2 activators, and energetic practices work together to rebuild the brain and extend longevity. Watch this episode on YouTube for the full video experience: https://www.youtube.com/@DaveAspreyBPR Host Dave Asprey sits down with Alberto Villoldo, Ph.D.—medical anthropologist, neuroscientist, energy medicine pioneer, and founder of The Four Winds Society, the gold-standard school for modern shamans. He has spent 25+ years studying Amazonian and Andean healing traditions, led the Biological Self-Regulation Lab at San Francisco State University to explore psychosomatic medicine, and authored more than 25 bestselling books on neuroscience, functional medicine, and energy healing. Few people on earth bridge ancient biohacking and modern brain science at this level. He also reveals the forms of nicotine that are safest (spoiler: it's not vapes or cigarettes), how nicotine works at the receptor level, and what the science says about long-term health effects. This episode blends functional medicine, brain optimization, and biohacking into one powerful, myth-busting breakdown. You'll learn: • How to grow a new brain every 22 days using neuroplasticity and mitochondria support • Why plant medicines and NRF2 activators can turn on 1,100 healing genes in 24 hours • The surprising link between nootropics, psychedelics, serotonin, and endogenous DMT • How mindset, belief systems, and placebo/nocebo shape immune function and metabolism • Why RFK's chronic disease warning connects to viral evolution and immune collapse • The real reason carnivore diets work—and when they fail without gut repair • Peptides, GLP-1 agonists, and the future of functional medicine hacking • Why most people sabotage themselves and how to stop fighting your own biology This is essential listening for anyone serious about biohacking, human performance, and longevity, and for those who want to understand how functional biology and mitochondrial science are redefining recovery, energy, and aging. Dave Asprey is a four-time New York Times bestselling author, founder of Bulletproof Coffee, and the father of biohacking. With over 1,000 interviews and 1 million monthly listeners, The Human Upgrade brings you the knowledge to take control of your biology, extend your longevity, and optimize every system in your body and mind. Each episode delivers cutting-edge insights in health, performance, neuroscience, supplements, nutrition, biohacking, emotional intelligence, and conscious living. New episodes are released every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday (BONUS). Dave asks the questions no one else will and gives you real tools to become stronger, smarter, and more resilient. One Year Bible Podcast: Join Hunter and Heather Barnes on 'The Daily Radio Bible' for a daily 20-minute spiritual journey. Engage with scripture readings, heartfelt devotionals, and collective prayers that draw you into the heart of God's love. Embark on this year-long voyage through the Bible, and let each day's passage uplift and inspire you. TODAY'S EPISODE: Welcome to the Daily Radio Bible! On this October 16th episode, Hunter invites us to spend some quiet moments journeying through the Scriptures together. Today, we'll dive into Malachi chapters 3 and 4, Psalm 148, and Acts chapter 5, discovering how each passage points us towards the living Word—Jesus, who offers true, abundant life. As we listen, Hunter reflects on the heart of the gospel: it's not about politics or divisions, but simply about life—life found in Christ, here and now. Together, we'll be reminded to walk in the peace, love, and hope that only He can give, and pray for hearts ready to both receive and share that life with the world around us. Join us as we nurture our souls and strengthen our resolve to live as vessels of God's peace today. TODAY'S DEVOTION: The message is life. Jerusalem is burning with the message, and these men cannot be stopped. What is this message? It is not about politics or agendas—it is life itself. The angel's word to the apostles is clear: “Go to the temple and give the people this message of life.” That's it. This is the gospel, the good news: Christ is here, now, offering life—abundant, full, real. Too often, we complicate it. We think it's all about where we stand, who's in, who's out, the lines we draw, the causes we fight. But the true message Jesus gives is far simpler and deeper than debate—it's life offered to all who will say yes to him, life not just in the hereafter, but life here and now. In John's gospel, Jesus says he came that we may have life and have it to the fullest. This is what we are meant for. This is what the world is longing for: the life of Christ, living and moving within us. So, today, let's agree with God. Let's step into this message, let's stay in step with him who is life. As we walk with Jesus, we walk in life and abundance, peace and hope—what our souls most need, what our families most need, what our world is crying out for. That's a prayer I have for my own soul. That's a prayer I have for my family—for my wife, my daughters, and my son. And that's a prayer that I have for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen. Oh God you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after you, and find you. Bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit on all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen. And now Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. And where there is sadness, Joy. Oh Lord grant that I might not seek to be consoled as to console. To be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in the giving that we receive, in the pardoning that we are pardoned, it is in the dying that we are born unto eternal life. Amen And now as our Lord has taught us we are bold to pray... Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not unto temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Loving God, we give you thanks for restoring us in your image. And nourishing us with spiritual food, now send us forth as forgiven people, healed and renewed, that we may proclaim your love to the world, and continue in the risen life of Christ. Amen. Not every message, voice, or feeling we experience is from God. In our daily prayer and devotional, the apostle John warns believers to test the spirits because our emotions, cultural influences, or even spiritual opposition can lead us astray. God’s Spirit always aligns with His Word, glorifies Jesus, and produces peace and holiness in our hearts. When you face decisions or conflicting messages, take time to pray for discernment and measure everything against Scripture. If what you sense points you closer to Christ and aligns with biblical truth, you can move forward with confidence. If it distracts or divides, wait on God’s timing and continue seeking His direction. Discernment takes practice. The more time you spend in God’s Word and in prayer, the more clearly you’ll recognize His voice amid the noise of the world. God has promised to guide you faithfully—trust Him to do it in His way and His time. Today's Bible Reading: “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God… This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God…”— 1 John 4:1–3 (NIV) Key Takeaways Test every spirit. God’s truth never contradicts His Word. Keep Jesus central. The Holy Spirit’s leading always exalts Christ. Check the fruit. True guidance produces love, joy, peace, patience, and self-control. Wait on God’s timing. Rushing ahead often leads to confusion. Seek wise counsel. Godly community helps confirm God’s direction. Let’s Pray Dear God,Thank You for reminding me that not every spirit or voice I hear is from You. Forgive me for the times I’ve trusted my emotions or rushed ahead without seeking Your wisdom. Teach me to test the spirits and recognize what is truly from You. Guide me through Your Word and Your Spirit, and help me make choices that glorify Jesus. Guard my heart and mind from confusion, and let Your peace lead me.In Jesus’ name, Amen. Related Articles Looking for more on discernment and hearing God’s voice? Embark on this year-long voyage through the Bible, and let each day's passage uplift and inspire you. TODAY'S EPISODE: Welcome to the Daily Radio Bible, where together we journey through the Scriptures and discover the heart of God for our lives. In today's episode, Host Hunter leads us through readings from Nehemiah 13, Malachi 1–2, and Acts 4, exploring themes of faithfulness, boldness, and the transformative power of God's Spirit. As we witness dramatic moments like the shaking of the early church's meeting place and the call to live lives of generosity, selflessness, and hope, we're invited to let the Spirit shake things up in our own hearts—especially as we approach seasons of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Join us as we pray for boldness, reflect on the meaning of true worship, and are reminded once more that every single person is deeply loved by God. Grab your Bible, settle in, and let's step into the story together. TODAY'S DEVOTION: There's a whole lot of shaking going on. Peter and John return to their community after being interrogated and threatened for boldly declaring the name of Jesus. These men, considered ordinary and untrained, stood before powerful religious leaders and testified to the truth of Christ resurrected. And after this confrontation, after choosing faithfulness over fear, they come back to their friends—and something remarkable happens: as they pray together, the whole place is shaken. They are filled again with the Holy Spirit and preach the word of God with boldness. What does this tell us? Wherever the Spirit of God is, things get stirred up—hearts are awakened, priorities are shifted, lives are refocused away from self and toward others. This is the story of the early church, but it's meant to be our story too. God hasn't stopped shaking things up. When we pray for boldness, for selflessness, for generosity, God answers. He fills us with the courage to embody the hope of Christ, just like he did with those first believers. As we look ahead to a new season—the holidays, filled with hopes, distractions, and busyness—it's time to invite God to shake things up in our own hearts. The message we carry is one of joy and peace: “Joy to the world, the Lord has come. Peace on earth, goodwill toward men. Emmanuel, God is with us.” These aren't just sentiments to be remembered in December—they're truths meant to be lived out, to become visible as we let God's Spirit work through us. Let's make this a season where we pray deeper, where we ask for boldness to declare that every single person is loved by God. May God's joy be our strength, his Spirit our guide, and may we become heralds of hope—proclaiming with our words and our lives that Jesus is risen, that he is present, and that his kingdom life is available to all. That's my prayer for my own soul, for my family, and for you. May God shake things up—in us, and through us. How do we know if it's the Holy Spirit speaking or just our own thoughts? In today's conversation, Dot and Cara unpack a common question believers wrestle with: discerning God's voice. Worship is an integral part of what it is to be human. All of us are worshippers. But the only thing worthy of our worship is the God who is infinite. Every other object of our worship will eat us alive. By contrast, worship of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, means we enter into the life the Trinity has been, is, and will always be enjoying - glorifying one another, and being glorified by one another. This worship, rather than robbing us of life, brings us to life. When we worship in Spirit (our spirits connecting with his Spirit, by means of the Holy Spirit's direction) and in Truth (directing our worship solely to Jesus, the crucified and resurrected Lord of Truth) we engage in true worship. The worship that life was meant for. By Ed Flint
When the Heart and Mind Agree: Finding Peace in Christ The prophet Joel calls the priests and people to repentance and fasting, . . . . . . warning that “the Day of the Lord” will bring judgment for those who remain unconverted but salvation for those who turn back to God with sincere hearts. True conversion means harmony between the heart and the mind . . . when our thoughts and desires are aligned with God's truth. Jesus illustrates this in the Gospel by confronting the Pharisees, who accuse Him of casting out demons by the power of the devil. Their hearts recognize His goodness, yet their minds reject Him out of pride and deceit, revealing an inner division. Jesus teaches that a “house divided against itself cannot stand” and warns that a heart cleansed of evil must be filled with God's grace, or else greater evils will return. The Homily concludes with an invitation to examine our own hearts: Are we filled with the Spirit of God or with division? True conversion brings harmony within us and, through us, harmony to our families, Church, and world. Only Christ, who is Truth itself, can bring this lasting peace and unity. We hear the word “surrender” all the time in spirituality, but what does it actually mean? For most of my life, surrender didn't make sense. My mom fled war in Iran, my dad too, and everything I learned growing up was about fighting for freedom, not giving in. So when people said “just surrender,” I thought it meant giving up. It wasn't until my marriage ended that I learned what real surrender was. I didn't have a choice anymore. I had to trust that Spirit was guiding me somewhere greater, even if I couldn't see where. That moment opened the door to a year of complete flow. I left everything behind, traveled the world with one suitcase, and discovered new archetypes within myself that I never knew existed. But eventually, I realized there's a paradox in all of this. If we only surrender, we can lose direction. If we only control, we block the magic. The truth is, we need both. ✨ In this episode, I explore: What surrender really means and how it shows up in our lives The balance between trusting the universe and taking aligned action The archetypes of “Surrender Sarita” and “Control Candace” How to know when life is asking you to release versus when it's time to focus Why both structure and flow are needed to create your dharma This conversation is a reminder that surrender isn't about giving up. It's about trusting that Spirit may have a bigger plan than the one you made for yourself. I'm joined by Pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell for a powerful conversation about what it means to suffer well in seasons of warfare. In this episode, we unpack how God uses pain to refine our hearts, reveal hidden places of brokenness, and draw us closer to His presence when life feels heavy. We talk about how to discern what battles are worth fighting, how to stay silent when the Spirit says “be still,” and how to see purpose in the storms we never asked for.Pastor Philip shares deep biblical wisdom on navigating rejection, spiritual attack, and the tension of being both blessed and broken, often at the same time.If you're feeling weary from the fight, misunderstood in your calling, or ever wondered where God is in the middle of your suffering, this conversation will remind you that even here, He is working something holy.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
A gentle and quiet spirit isn't weakness. It is strength under God's control. It reflects trust in His sovereignty, not striving to be seen or heard. This kind of beauty doesn't fade with age. It is lasting, Christlike, and precious in God's sight (1 Peter 3:3–4). If you're struggling to cultivate this spirit in your own life, you're not alone. Ask the Lord to grow it in you. Spend time in His Word. Look to Christ. He is gentle and lowly in heart, and He is faithful to complete the work He begins in us. Romans 8:12-13 — There are many aberrant teachings on the doctrine of sanctification. Some like to say the believer is completely hopeless with regards to sin but is this true? Must the Christian only focus on “abiding” in Christ? Does the regenerate person have no power to act against sin? Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones vehemently denies such claims. In his sermon on Romans 8:12–13 titled “Sin and the Christian,” he says the Christian is indeed not hopeless. Instead, the believer is called to realize the truth about their union with Christ. Furthermore, they must not deny the doctrine of regeneration through an insufficient doctrine of sanctification. The Holy Spirit has made them alive and the Spirit of God dwells in them. This gives the Christian power in this life for godly growth. As they walk through this life they should expect maturity. The Christian is far from hopeless in their fight against sin. They have all that they need in Christ and by the Spirit. Dr. Lloyd-Jones admonishes Christians to wake up from their lethargy and realize what God has done to them in Christ. Let them march to Zion, shining forth in good works and glorifying their Father who is in heaven.

Embark on this year-long voyage through the Bible, and let each day's passage uplift and inspire you. TODAY'S EPISODE: Welcome to the Daily Radio Bible—your companion for this 14th day of October, as we journey together through the Bible on day 288 of the year. I'm Hunter, your host, joining you and listeners from around the world as we gather to warm our hearts by the fires of God's love. In today's episode, we explore Nehemiah chapters 11 and 12, delving into the resettlement of Jerusalem and the dedication of its walls with joy, song, and thanksgiving. We meditate on the wisdom of Psalm 1, reflecting on what it means to be rooted and nourished in God's word. Then, we witness a miraculous moment in Acts 3, where Peter and John encounter a man lame from birth at the temple gate—an encounter that becomes an invitation to new life through the power of Jesus. Join me as we move beyond the gates of expectation into the fullness of God's love and restoration. Let's settle in, open our hearts, and discover together what God wants to show us today. TODAY'S DEVOTION: He can take us beyond the beautiful gate—into life itself. The story in Acts 3 is the story of a man who sat daily outside the temple, unable to enter, always stopping just short of where life and the presence of God dwelled. He expected so little—asking only for a few coins from those passing by. Yet, when Peter and John arrive, the unexpected happens. Peter says to him, "I don't have any silver or gold for you, but I'll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk." And in that moment—through the living power of Christ—the man rises, not only from his physical brokenness, but beyond his limitations, into the temple, leaping and praising God. His friends couldn't get him through that gate. Moses and the prophets could not take him beyond. Our own strength and the expectations we settle for—none of it is enough to move us past the barriers that hold us back from God's life. But Jesus can. Through Peter, Jesus saw him, healed him, and took him farther than he ever imagined—past the gate, into the temple, into joy, into the life that God gives. This is the story not just for that man, but for all of us. How often do we sit outside the gates, hoping for a little relief, expecting so little, feeling stuck or limited by what we see or believe about ourselves? Yet Jesus meets us there, sees us completely, and calls us to rise—to walk with him into life, into restoration, into the fullness we were made for. He is the one who brings us in, who restores our souls, who lifts us far beyond anything we thought possible. He calls us to stand, to walk upright, to leap with joy. Let the abiding life of Christ lift you up and take you in—far past any gate, far past what you thought possible. Receive what Jesus has for you today—not just the small things you expect, but the abundance of life he gives. That's a prayer I have for my own soul, for my family, for my wife and daughters and son. Amen. 2 Timothy 3:16–17 | Luke 24:27 If stories matter, the Bible is the most important one ever told, not because it hides weakness, but because it reveals a God who shows up in it. From Moses' altar to Jesus on the road to Emmaus, every page points to Him. Scripture isn't just words; it's breath is the same Spirit that formed Adam and fills us now. In todays Leadership Lessons, Pastor Amy Perez shows us that reading the Bible isn't about information but formation. When we “eat this book,” we let God's story shape ours, moving from knowing about Him to truly knowing Him.
Welcome to Day 2714 of Wisdom-Trek. Thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom Day 2714 – A Discerning Life – Dealing With Deceivers 1 John 2:18-27 Putnam Church Message – 09/14/2025 Sermon Series: 1, 2, & 3 John “A Discerning Life: Dealing with Deceivers" Two weeks ago, we explored 1 John 2:12-17 as we learned how to live a ‘Clean Life' with “Strong Warnings About the World.” This week, we continue through the letter of 1 John, and we will explore how to have A Discerning Life: Dealing with Deceivers" from 1 John 2:18-27 from the NIV, which is found on page 1900 of your Pew Bibles. Warnings Against Denying the Son 18 Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us. 20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.[a] 21 I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth. 22 Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son. 23 No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also. 24 As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is what he promised us—eternal life. 26 I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray. 27 As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him. Opening Prayer As we continue in John's first letter, the tone shifts from serious to severe. The warnings against sin and the world in the previous section now give way to portents of spiritual dangers—often invisible—that can lure unbelievers to hell and send a Christian's faith skidding into the ditch. The specter of spiritual deception doesn't have to win. Just as Spirit-enabled fellowship with the Father and the Son produces a joyful life (1:1–10) and a clean life (2:1–17), it also produces a discerning life (2:18–4:6). A close relationship with God requires an understanding of His truth. All too often, though, even seemingly mature Christians struggle to discern between true...

Investing isn't just about returns—it's about reflecting what we truly value. Our faith is meant to guide every area of life, including how we invest. When our hearts are set on God, our investing reflects His priorities—caring for creation, serving our neighbor, and letting what we treasure shape how we steward His resources. Tim Macready joins us today to talk about a “theology of investing.”Tim Macready is Head of Global Advisory at BrightLight, a division of EverSource Wealth Advisors. A Theology of Investing: Bringing Faith to Financial DecisionsMost people view investing as a financial act—an attempt to grow wealth, manage risk, or secure a comfortable future. Yet Scripture invites us to see investing as something much deeper: a spiritual act rooted in stewardship, love, and worship.A theology of investing reimagines financial activity not as separate from faith but as an expression of it. It calls believers to bring their heart, head, and hands together, transforming investing from a pursuit of profit into a practice of discipleship.Theology simply means the study of God and how what we learn about Him shapes the way we live. Applied to investing, it means aligning financial decisions with biblical truths about creation, stewardship, and love for neighbor.Faith is not only a matter of belief—it's a matter of lived action. When we view investing through this lens, we begin to see it as part of our calling to manage God's resources wisely and to use them in ways that bring about human flourishing and reflect His goodness. The Creation Mandate and the Purpose of InvestingThe story begins in Genesis 1–2. Out of His divine goodness, God creates a world filled with potential and beauty, then entrusts humanity with the task of cultivating and developing what He made.Investing participates in that same creation mandate. It takes the resources God has provided and reallocates them so that they become productive—fueling innovation, creating jobs, and contributing to the flourishing of communities. Financial returns become a byproduct of faithful stewardship rather than the sole objective.Through investing, believers join God in bringing order, beauty, and abundance to His creation. Some assume investing is little more than glorified gambling, but the two could not be more different. Gambling is speculation—a zero-sum pursuit driven by chance. Investing, on the other hand, is a form of stewardship. It seeks to grow what God has entrusted by putting resources to work productively in the service of others.Faithful investing recognizes that capital is not an end in itself but a tool for participating in God's creative and redemptive work in the world.Loving God and Neighbor Through InvestmentWhen Jesus summarized the law, He tied together two inseparable commands: love God and love your neighbor (Matthew 22:37–39). Investing offers a tangible way to live out both.By directing capital toward enterprises that meet real needs, create employment, and improve lives, investors can participate in the biblical call to love their neighbor. Investing becomes a form of generosity—an intentional choice to place capital at risk so that others may benefit and communities may thrive. When guided by love, investing ceases to be a self-focused pursuit and becomes a practice of service and shared flourishing. In Matthew 6, Jesus teaches that “where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” That truth reveals not only that our spending reflects what we love, but also that our hearts are shaped by where we invest. Our financial choices form us. Every investment helps build something—industries, technologies, and cultures. Those choices shape what we value and the kind of world we participate in creating. If the heart is anchored in Christ, investing becomes a means to align one's desires with discipleship, ensuring that financial growth serves God's purposes and the good of others. In modern markets, investing often feels impersonal. Index funds and digital platforms can make financial activity seem detached from real lives. Yet every investment still represents a relationship—people on both sides working, creating, and depending on one another.Recovering this relational awareness reminds believers that investing is not merely an economic transaction. It's a moral and spiritual act that affects individuals and communities made in God's image. From Portfolio to WorshipScripture consistently warns of wealth's dangers—not because money itself is evil, but because it so easily tempts us to trust it instead of God. As C.S. Lewis observed, the comforts wealth provides can dull our sense of dependence on the Lord.Greed, the Bible says, is a form of idolatry (Colossians 3:5). When money becomes our source of security, it quietly replaces the Provider Himself. Biblical investing begins with the opposite conviction: everything belongs to God, and we remain utterly dependent on Him for every good gift.A single strategy or product does not define faithful investing. It is marked by intent—by the desire to align financial decisions with God's purposes. That may mean avoiding investments that exploit others or harm creation, or seeking out opportunities that promote dignity, justice, and flourishing. Sometimes it might even mean accepting lower returns for the sake of love.Ultimately, profit is more than numbers on a page—it represents the fruit of faithful stewardship in a mutually beneficial exchange that honors God and blesses others. When believers see investing as part of their discipleship, it transforms the act itself. No longer about accumulation, it becomes about participation—joining God's ongoing work of renewal in the world.Faithful investing asks deeper questions:How does this investment serve my neighbor? How does it reflect the beauty and justice of God's Kingdom? How does it shape my heart toward or away from Christ? When those questions guide our portfolios, investing becomes more than a financial decision—it becomes an act of worship. On Today's Program, Rob Answers Listener Questions:I'm looking to tap into my home's equity to cover some needed repairs. Spirit shared insights into a fascinating phenomenon unfolding in 2025. Many intuitive souls are finding it harder to sense their personal future probabilities within their timelines... this is not because their intuition is fading, but because their consciousness is expanding. As we vibrate at a higher frequency and live more fully in the present moment, we open ourselves up to limitless streams of potential. This abundance of possibilities can make timelines feel less defined, yet it also unlocks boundless creativity and manifestation power. Are toxic coworkers driving you crazy? These are people you are forced to be with daily, and their habits or attitudes are driving you—well, crazy! What are some characteristics of toxic people? Basically, they are people who somehow poison the atmosphere around them with their attitudes and behavior. As Christians dealing with toxic people, our first challenge is to remember God loves the person just as much as he loves you. See them through God's eyes. The second important thing to remember is the person is not in your life by accident. God is allowing it—not approving of their behavior, mind you—but allowing the person in your life for some good reason. It could be to help you grow in grace as you deal with them. It could be for the good influence you could have on them. It could be both. But trust me, God has a good reason(s) for the person being in your life. We are told in Scripture: If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone (Romans 12:18). That's our assignment for dealing with toxic people. Others may live by more commonly accepted relationship principles, such as, look out for number one! Don't take any guff! Stand up for your rights! They may not be motivated to live at peace with everyone, but we are called to this Christ-like objective. It is a lofty one; it is often out of step with the world's wisdom; it is often not appreciated or valued by others. But as disciples of Jesus Christ, it is our guiding principle. Let me assure you when you can respond to toxic people with more patience, more kindness and less anger than others, you are demonstrating the love of Jesus, and it won't be missed. Your coworkers may not believe in God, they may never go to church, they may even think you are some kind of religious fanatic, but they cannot escape the difference in the way you respond to toxic people, when you allow God's Spirit to empower you to respond like Jesus would. Keep these two things in mind, namely God loves them as much as he loves you, and no one is in your life by accident. God has a purpose for allowing that person in your life.
