Corporate Accountability and the Power of NarrativeIoannis Ioannou shares how ESG outperformance research is nuanced—successful sustainable companies embed responsibility in strategy, not just reporting. He calls for a “positive narrative” that unites all stakeholders: “Transparency is necessary but not sufficient. We need to align corporate action with a system that works within its limits—and tell a compelling, evidence-based story.” Call-to-Action Let's inspire you with one action item to move the needle this week: take a moment to review your own portfolio or investment choices and ask yourself, "How well do they align with your personal values?" Even small shifts can make a big impact over time. Episode Summary: From middle school cliques to corporate boardrooms, patterns of competition, division, and survival strategies among women persist. Here's the thing though: this isn't about a flaw in women; it's about a flawed system. In this episode of the Advancing Women Podcast, we explore the rise of Queen Bee Syndrome and the "Pick-Me" phenomenon, and what pop culture, psychology, and gender bias research reveal about why these patterns exist, and how we can challenge them. We dig deep into: The cultural roots of Queen Bee and Pick-Me behaviors Internalized sexism, patriarchal bargaining, and the male gaze The myth of women as each other's worst enemy Strategies to disrupt toxic narratives and build true solidarity It's time to move from scarcity to solidarity, from competition to coalition—and rewrite the narrative with the persisterhood at the center. Key Takeaways: “Pick-Me” behavior isn't vanity, it's often survival in biased systems. Queen Bee Syndrome isn't about women being mean, it's about navigating tokenism and structural barriers. Internalized sexism and societal “shoulds” fuel division. Systemic bias, NOT women, is the root issue. Solidarity is the antidote to scarcity. Call to Action: Let's stop shaming Queen Bees and Pick-Me girls and start fixing the systems that pit women against each other. Let's write a new chapter grounded in persisterhood, because together, we rise further. Scripture References: Proverbs 3:13-18, Proverbs 4:7, Proverbs 1:22, Colossians 1:16, Colossians 2:3, Ephesians 4:17-18, Matthew 28Intro:Hey everyone, we're kicking off a new summer series in the Book of Proverbs! We'll explore wisdom's themes each week. You can also grab our summer reading plan at the connect table to devotionally read through the whole book. By summer's end, you'll have journeyed through Proverbs, seeing its practical wisdom for your daily life with God.Key Points:Proverbs is a Wisdom Book:It emphasizes the urgency of seeking wisdom. Proverbs 4:7 says, "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom, and in all your getting get understanding."In a culture of acquiring, let's prioritize getting what truly matters – wisdom.Proverbs 3:13-18 highlights wisdom's value: "Blessed are those who find wisdom… for wisdom is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold… Nothing you desire compares to her." It's imperishable, worth holding onto.Proverbs Offers Practical Wisdom:This isn't just about spiritual knowledge; it's about wisdom for every corner of our lives: relationships, work, goals, resources. If our wisdom isn't relevant to most of our life, it's not biblical wisdom. The root word of Proverbs means "to be like," inviting us to compare our lives to its principles. It's a "plumb line" for daily living.Ancient Hebrew culture saw life as a seamless garment – no separation between sacred and secular, public and private. Proverbs is a "timeless portable teacher."Proverbs Defines the Wise Person:The book divides people into two simple categories: the wise and righteous or the fool and wicked. There's no middle ground.Proverbs 1:22 asks, "How long, inexperienced ones, will you love ignorance?" or "How long, you simpletons, will you love naivety?" God's Word compels us to choose a side.A wise person is humble, seeks knowledge, listens to instruction, accepts correction, controls emotions, and brings joy to others.Obstacles to Teachability:Narrow Belief of Knowledge: We can mistakenly believe learning is only spiritual. Colossians 1:16 reminds us that everything was created by Him – the sacred and the mundane. God cares about every detail of our lives, even parking spaces!Assuming Full Understanding: We often face "crises of understanding" rather than "crises of faith." Loving God isn't the end of learning; it's loving God with our minds. Truth is eternal, but knowledge is changeable (Madeline L'Engle). Don't confuse them.Inability to Unlearn: God may want to rearrange our thinking. Jeremiah 1:4-10 shows Jeremiah needing to unlearn his self-perception to embrace God's calling. What do we need to unlearn about our identity in Christ?Pride and Sin: Sin distorts our thinking. Ephesians 4:17-18 describes futility in thinking and darkened understanding outside of Christ. But as children of God, we've been brought into the light (Ephesians 5:8) and in Christ are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:3).Conclusion:This summer, as we become more teachable and pursue wisdom, remember we're not seeking wisdom for its own sake. We're pursuing it to know the one who holds all wisdom: Jesus. When you know Him more, you'll simply want to know Him even more.Call to Action:Let's approach the table with humility, acknowledging we don't have it all figured out, but we're coming to the one who does. We celebrate moms and spiritual mothers, acknowledging the joy and the aches holidays can bring (loss, struggle, longing). Jesus meets each of you in your unique story. He knows what you need. Jesus deeply loved His own mother and all women, treating them with radical dignity, respect, and compassion—truly countercultural for His time.Key Points:Jesus' Radical View of Women:Spoke respectfully to them (Samaritan woman, John 4; woman caught in adultery, John 8).Healed them publicly (Peter's mother-in-law, Mark 1; woman with issue of blood, Mark 5; bent-over woman, Luke 13).Affirmed their faith & worth. Many women followed & financially supported His ministry (Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Susanna - Luke 8). Mary of Bethany learned at His feet (Luke 10).Entrusted women as first witnesses of His resurrection (Matt 28, John 20).These women, freed from shame, became deeply devoted, bold partners in His mission.Celebrating Women in Our Church Family – Echoes of Biblical Strength:Mary of Bethany (Matt 26): Extravagant worshippers, pouring out your most valuable for Jesus. Like her, Radiant women, you've done beautiful things for Him.Miriam (Exodus 15): Leading in worship, singing songs of deliverance, reminding us God brings us to dry land.Esther (Esther 4:16): Courageous, sticking your necks out for others' freedom and safety, saying "If I perish, I perish."Ruth (Ruth 1:16-17): Faithful, loyal, obedient, choosing right relationship over comfort, loving for the long haul: "Where you go, I will go."Widow of Zarephath (1 Kings 17): Hospitality in scarcity, giving generously from little, trusting God's miraculous provision.Lydia (Acts 16): Businesswomen and those with abundance, leveraging success and resources for God's Kingdom.Hannah (1 Sam 1:27-28): Prayer warriors, contending earnestly, prevailing on God, and lending your answered prayers back to Him.Mary at Lazarus' Tomb (John 11:28-35): Raw faith in grief, falling at Jesus' feet, finding Him as the God who weeps with us & brings comfort.Deborah (Judges 4-5): Strong leaders with prophetic wisdom, inspiring victory ("Up! For this is the day..."), and partnering beautifully, calling men and women higher in God.Conclusion: Radiant women, for 20 years (and all women of faith), you've chosen the better thing. You've poured out love in extravagant worship, not counting the cost. You've taken courageous steps, chosen faithfulness, given generously, contended in prayer, wept honest tears at Jesus' feet while believing Him even in the dark, and led with wisdom. Because of this, we've seen Him. Thank you for being lovers of God and spiritual mothers. Proverbs 31: not competition, but a celebration of a woman's lifelong fruit. God counts & celebrates all you do.Call to Action: Let's continue this journey of faith: loving God and living for Him. Men, actively honor and celebrate the women in your lives. Women, keep arising, using your God-given gifts to call us higher. Let's embrace the future, partnering for the Gospel. God is worthy of it all! Scripture References: Matthew 4:23-25; Luke 9:1-2; Luke 10:1-9, 17; Matthew 28:18-20Introduction: Welcome to this week's sermon! Today, we hear from guest speaker Scott, who served with his family in North India for over 20 years. Scott shares his personal journey from a background skeptical of supernatural gifts to embracing the power of the Holy Spirit in evangelism. He begins with his own testimony: finding purpose and joy in Christ at 17 after a period of loneliness and depression, sparking a passion to share Jesus. He challenges us: do you have a story?Key Points:Early Encounters: Despite a conservative background, Scott soon experienced God's voice and words of knowledge for strangers, leading to ministry. This sparked his passion for evangelism.Missions & Need for Power: Called to India's unreached, training highlighted "Church Planting Movements" fueled by "signs and wonders." Initially hesitant, Scott saw the need.Power of Demonstration: A key moment: praying for a sick child whose mother had heard the gospel message repeatedly without response. After the child's miraculous healing, the mother declared, "I know your God is powerful," and followed Jesus. Proclamation plus demonstration was key. (80-90% of local conversions involved supernatural encounters).Biblical Mandate for All: Scripture shows this power isn't limited: Jesus proclaimed, healed, delivered (Matt 4).He gave the 12 authority to do the same (Luke 9).He sent the 72 with the same commission (Luke 10) – not just apostles. The Great Commission (Matt 28) gives all disciples authority, empowered by the Spirit, to teach obedience to all Jesus commanded.Stepping Out Everywhere: Scott saw God work through prayer for healing/needs in India, the US, and the UK – proving it's not just for "over there." God works powerfully through willing believers anywhere. The fields are ripe here. Conclusion: Jesus commissions all His followers to both proclaim the gospel message and demonstrate its power through healing, deliverance, and other gifts of the Spirit. This isn't just for missionaries or pastors; it's for you and me, empowered by the Holy Spirit. People in our communities are hurting and waiting for an encounter with God's love and power. God is ready to work through ordinary believers who are willing to step out in faith.Call to Action: Let's respond to this message. Are you feeling stirred towards greater boldness, a call to take risks for the Kingdom? Ask God for compassion that overcomes fear. Pray for eyes to see the needs He wants you to meet and the people He wants you to engage. Ask for discernment. This week, intentionally look for an opportunity to share about Jesus and an opportunity to pray for someone's need, expecting God to move. Trust that He is with you and wants to demonstrate His power through you. Holy Spirit, come upon us with boldness! Support the show*Summaries and transcripts are generated using AI. Title: Understanding the Person of the Holy Spirit Series: Living in the Spirit Focus Scripture: Acts 2 Introduction * Acts 2 marks the fulfillment of Jesus' promise to send the Holy Spirit, empowering believers for ministry and revealing the person and work of the Spirit profoundly. This chapter serves as a foundation for understanding the Holy Spirit's role in the life of the church and the believer. * Objective: To explore the Holy Spirit's identity, nature, and mission as revealed in Acts 2 and how this understanding transforms our daily walk with God. The Promise of the Father: * Acts 2:33 33 Now he is exalted to the place of highest honor in heaven, at God's right hand. And the Father, as he had promised, gave him the Holy Spirit to pour out upon us, just as you see and hear today. * The Spirit fulfills the Old Testament promises * (Joel 2:28-29) - 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. 17 He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The Work of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2 1. Empowering Believers: * Acts 2:3-4: 3 Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. 4 And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability. * The gift of diverse tongues and interpretation manifested because people of many nations/languages were gathered. * Application: The Spirit equips us for ministry and mission, giving gifts for service (1 Corinthians 12). 2. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved. * The Spirit creates a community of believers through generosity, worship, and fellowship. * The Spirit binds believers together in one body (Ephesians 4:3) - Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. Continual Filling: * The Spirit's presence in Acts 2 wasn't a one-time event but the beginning of ongoing empowerment (Ephesians 5:18). 18 Don't be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Like the children of Israel in the wilderness, we need fresh manna daily, 2. Boldness in Witnessing: * Acts 2:14-41: Peter's boldness in proclaiming the Gospel came from the Spirit's power. * Application: The Spirit emboldens us to share our faith in love and truth. 3. Transformation of Lives: * Acts 2:42-47: 42 All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, and fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord's Supper[a]), and to prayer. 43 A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. 44 And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. 45 They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. 46 They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord's Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity[b]— 47 all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day, the Lord added those who were being saved to their fellowship. * The Spirit transforms believers, resulting in worship, generosity, and a communal lifestyle. * Personal Reflection: How is the person of the Holy Spirit transforming our hearts, habits, and relationships? Conclusion * Call to Action: * Let's reflect on our relationship with the Holy Spirit. Are we yielding to His leading, seeking His filling, and walking in His power? * Let's pray for a fresh outpouring of the Spirit in our lives, just as in Acts 2. * Encouragement: * The same Spirit who moved powerfully at Pentecost is alive and at work today. He longs to empower, guide, and transform each of us into the likeness of Christ.

Transformation of Lives: * Acts 2:42-47: 42 All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord's Supper[a]), and to prayer. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved. * The same Spirit who moved powerfully at Pentecost is alive and at work today. He longs to empower, guide, and transform each of us into the likeness of Christ. -- Praise Tabernacle Dr. Joshua Kennedy, Pastor 2235 Ocean Heights Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234 pastorjosh@praisetabernacle.com praisetabernacle.church (609) 927-4560(w)

We encourage you to care for your well-being as you listen to and share this episode about the all-too-real danger of human trafficking. Dr. Laura welcomes a return guest alongside a new expert in this challenging and vitally important episode on child sex trafficking. Alan Smyth, Executive Director of Saving Innocence (based in LA) and co-author of “MEN! Fight For Me”, returns to the show along with new guest Conroy Kanter, President of KK Ranch Productions and Producer of the movie Trafficked. Their conversation lifts the veil of secrecy on the issue of child sex trafficking, revealing how close to home it is and the current efforts to raise awareness of the tragic reality of this heinous crime.Alan Smyth reveals that his celebrated book, “MEN! Fight For Me”, written with the collaborative efforts of trafficking survivors, is now in audiobook form for even wider distribution. Conroy Kanter shares how her 2017 film, Trafficked, starring Ashley Judd and Patrick Duffy, is currently available to watch on Amazon Prime. To that end, everyone who hears this conversation is offered an opportunity to acknowledge the present danger of the issue and act by sharing these resources and protecting children with foreknowledge. “There's a trafficker, and then there's a trafficked victim, to coin your movie title. And all of that is exploitation. There's certainly exploitation that isn't yet trafficking, but when that third-party trafficker, controller, is forcing someone to be somewhere and receiving money for some sort of sexual, you know, exploitation or effort, then it becomes trafficking. And it's usually, according to the definition, through force, physical force, oftentimes violent force, sometimes lethal force, fraud or coercion.” Alan Smyth“And [trafficking] is not something that you just want to say, oh, that happens in another country far far away. It happens right here!” Conroy KanterAbout Alan Smyth:Alan Smyth is married and a father of two children and one grandchild. What Does It Mean to Be Truly Committed? On the most recent episode of The Self Aware Leader podcast, I dove deep into the concept of commitment. We often throw that word around – I'm committed to fitness, committed to this project, committed to my personal growth. But what does true, maximum commitment really look like and feel like? To dissect this, I like to rephrase the question: "What are you willing to sacrifice to achieve a goal or uphold a value?" That hits a little harder, doesn't it? Because true commitment isn't just about the good times, the easy choices. It's about what you'll keep doing, who you'll keep being, even when it's inconvenient, difficult, and frankly...uncomfortable. Commitment in Action Let's look at some examples: Relationships: Truly committed partners don't walk away at the first sign of conflict. They stay and work through the challenges – not because it's easy, but because the value of the relationship outweighs the temporary discomfort. Health: Being committed to your health isn't about a crash diet; it's about making sustainable lifestyle changes. We're talking early mornings for workouts even when you're tired, and saying 'no' to temptations that derail your goals. Career: Maximum commitment here means going the extra mile. Putting in the late nights to perfect a project, taking on extra responsibilities to learn – the things that aren't necessarily expected but are essential for growth. Commitment Isn't Easy (But It's Worth It) True commitment will stretch your comfort zone. There will be times when you want to give up, walk away, or cut corners. That's when you ask yourself that all-important question again: is what you want on the other side of this challenge worth the sacrifice you're making now? It's important to be honest with yourself. If the answer is no, that's okay! Maybe now isn't the time, or perhaps you need to re-evaluate whether your goal is truly aligned with your values. But if that answer is a resounding "YES"... then it's time to dig in and make true commitment a part of your everyday life. How do you cultivate maximum commitment? Let's hear your thoughts in the comments below!
Hi, I'm Matthew Adams. Today, let's explore a seldom-discussed aspect of our spiritual journey: the patience required to truly hear God's voice. In our fast-paced, instant-gratification world, the act of waiting on the Lord, as instructed in Psalm 27:14, can seem like an ancient art lost in the rush of modern life.Scripture:"Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD." - Psalm 27:14In this scripture, David, a man after God's own heart, lays out a fundamental principle for spiritual warriors: patience in waiting on the Lord. This concept, seemingly straightforward, carries profound implications in a world where speed and efficiency are often prioritized over depth and process. My Reasons To Believe is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.Driving Points:* The Challenge of Divine Timing:God's timing rarely aligns with our expectations. His way of communicating with us often involves a process that unfolds gradually. This is where our modern-day impatience clashes with God's Ent-like, unhurried style. The spiritual discipline of waiting on God demands that we recalibrate our expectations and understand that divine delays are not denials. God's seemingly slow responses are often invitations to deeper trust and understanding.* Courage in the Waiting:David couples patience with bravery and courage. It's relatively easy to be brave in action, but it takes a different kind of courage to be still and wait, especially when circumstances seem dire or stagnant. It's in these moments of waiting that our faith is tested and refined. The courage to wait on God is a testament to our trust in His sovereignty and perfect plan.* Embracing the Process:In our efficiency-driven culture, we often miss the beauty of the process. God is not just interested in the end result but also in the journey there. He is crafting a narrative in our lives, one that is meant to be rich with learning, growth, and a deepening relationship with Him. When we embrace this process, our dialogue with God becomes more about the journey and less about the destination, transforming our spiritual experience. Conclusion:Waiting on God is not passive inactivity. It's an active stance of faith, a declaration that our trust in His promises outweighs our desire for immediate answers. As spiritual warriors, embracing this waiting is essential to deepening our relationship with God.Call to Action:Let's challenge ourselves to embrace the waiting. When you pray and seek God's guidance, commit to waiting patiently for His response, trusting in His perfect timing.Prayer:Heavenly Father, grant me the patience to wait on Your voice and the courage to trust in Your timing. Help me to embrace the beauty of the process in our ongoing conversation, knowing that in Your wisdom, You are crafting my story for Your glory. Amen. This is Matthew Adams, encouraging you to slow down and savor the depth of your relationship with God. Remember, in the waiting, there's growth, strength, and profound beauty. Let's be brave, be patient, and be attentive to the voice of God. Get full access to My Reasons To Believe at myr2b.substack.com/subscribe
Hey everyone, I'm Matthew Adams, here to share a thought that might just change the way you approach your spiritual life. In the hustle of our daily grind, we often forget a simple yet profound truth: God invites us to converse with Him, not as a distant deity, but as a personal friend.Scripture:“My heart has heard you say, ‘Come and talk with me.' And my heart responds, ‘LORD, I am coming.'” - Psalm 27:8This passage echoes a heartfelt exchange between God and David. It's not just a poetic line from an ancient text; it's a living invitation extended to each of us. Let's delve into what this means for us as spiritual warriors. For the cost of a coffee, become a FAITH PARTNER with a $5 monthly gift and receive a RightNow Media account FREE! Help us maintain our podcast, keep the lights on, and share God's Word globally. Or, opt for a free membership if you're unable to donate.Driving Points:* Personal Invitation from God:God's call to “Come and talk with Me” is deeply personal. It's not a general broadcast but a specific invitation to each of us. It's an open door to a relationship where we can share our deepest thoughts, fears, and joys. This invitation isn't limited to biblical figures like David; it's extended to every one of us, beckoning us into intimate dialogue with our Creator.* Misconceptions About Conversing with God:Often, we hesitate to take up this invitation because we fear God's response might focus solely on our flaws or tasks we haven't completed. This misconception can keep us from experiencing the richness of God's companionship. God's desire for conversation goes beyond just “fixing” us; He longs for genuine interaction, filled with love, encouragement, and mutual sharing.* The Transformative Power of Divine Conversation:Engaging in heart-to-heart conversations with God is transformative. It's not a one-sided lecture but a dialogue where His love and wisdom breathe life into our circumstances. These conversations are not about instilling fear or guilt but about infusing our lives with hope, peace, and joy. When we truly embrace this divine interaction, it becomes a source of strength and renewal. Conclusion:The notion that God desires to have a real conversation with us can be both exhilarating and intimidating. Yet, it's in these moments of honest exchange that we discover the depth of His love and the reality of His presence in our lives.Call to Action:Let's respond to God's invitation today. Whether in a quiet moment or amidst life's chaos, take the time to converse with Him. Share your heart and listen for His. Let this divine dialogue be the cornerstone of your daily walk.Prayer:Heavenly Father, thank You for inviting me into conversation with You. Help me to overcome any hesitation and to embrace this opportunity to connect with You deeply. Let Your words of encouragement and love resonate in my heart, transforming my perspective and my life. Amen. This is Matthew Adams, encouraging you to seize the opportunity to engage in life-giving conversations with God every day. Remember, He's not just waiting to hear from you; He's eager to speak with you too. So go ahead, accept His invitation, and discover the joy of chatting with the Creator of the universe. Hey there, I'm Matthew Adams. In the midst of life's battles, where do we turn? King David, a warrior and a poet, gives us a profound insight in Psalm 27. His words are not just a cry for help but a blueprint for finding God in the throes of our struggles.Scripture:“Hear me as I pray, O LORD. Be merciful and answer me!” - Psalm 27:7This verse captures the essence of David's heart - a relentless pursuit of God even under duress. It's not just a prayer for deliverance but a deeper longing to encounter God. Let's explore how this approach can transform our own spiritual battles.Become a FAITH PARTNER today for only $5/month and get access to RightNow Media for FREE! Your generosity fuels our mission, powers our podcast, and broadcasts God's Word worldwide. Not in a position to donate? Sign up for a free membership anyway!Driving Points:* Seeking God Above Resolution:David's focus in times of distress wasn't solely on escape or resolution. His primary desire was to delight in God's presence. This shift in focus is crucial for us as spiritual warriors. When faced with challenges, our instinct might be to seek immediate relief. However, David teaches us to seek God first, trusting that in His presence, we find the strength and perspective we need.* Maintaining Faith Amid Contradictions:Life's trials often present stark contradictions to God's promises. Like Abraham, we are called to hope against hope, believing in God's faithfulness even when our circumstances scream otherwise. This steadfast faith doesn't ignore reality but chooses to elevate God's truth above it. It's in these moments of unwavering trust that we often hear God's voice most clearly.* God's Presence in Unexpected Times:God has a way of showing up when we least expect it. Our darkest hours can become the backdrop for His most profound revelations. When we call out to Him amidst our trials, we open the door for Him to work in unexpected ways. It's not about denying our struggles but about acknowledging that God's presence and guidance are greater. Conclusion:King David's life was a tapestry of victories and defeats, but his constant was the pursuit of God. His example teaches us that in every battle, internal or external, our first call should be to God - for His presence, guidance, and mercy.Call to Action:Let's make David's prayer our own. In every challenge, let's seek God first. Let's maintain our faith even when our circumstances are daunting. And let's stay open to encountering God in the most unexpected places and times.Prayer:Lord, in my moments of struggle, help me to seek You above all else. Be merciful and answer me, not just to deliver me from my troubles but to draw me closer to You. May my heart always yearn for Your presence more than my escape. Amen. This is Matthew Adams, reminding you that in the heat of battle, our greatest strength is found in God's presence. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and be ready to hear His voice, even when the storm is loudest. Stay strong, warriors, and remember, God is always closer than you think. Hey there, Matthew Adams here. Today, let's dive into a concept that might seem a bit out of the ordinary when talking about spiritual matters: reasoning with God. It's an invitation from the Almighty Himself, found in the book of Isaiah, calling us to engage our minds in partnership with His Spirit.Scripture:“Come now, and let us reason together,” says the LORD. - Isaiah 1:18, NKJVIn a world where faith and reason are often seen as being at odds, God offers a different perspective. He doesn't ask us to abandon our intellect but invites us to use it in conjunction with His divine guidance. This approach reshapes how we understand truth and make decisions, aligning our thoughts with the wisdom that crafted the universe.Become a FAITH PARTNER today for only $5/month and get access to RightNow Media for FREE! Your generosity fuels our mission, powers our podcast, and broadcasts God's Word worldwide. Not in a position to donate? Sign up for a free membership anyway!Driving Points:* The Limitations of Human Reason:Our human intellect is a powerful tool, but it's not infallible. Left to its own devices, it can lead us into error, as evidenced by the religious leaders who opposed Jesus. They relied solely on their understanding, missing the truth He embodied. As spiritual warriors, we must recognize the limitations of our reasoning and the necessity of divine insight.* God's Invitation to Reason Together:God's call to “reason together” is an invitation to a collaborative process. It's about bringing our thoughts, questions, and doubts to Him and allowing His Spirit to guide us to deeper truths. This partnership transforms our understanding, moving us beyond mere human logic to a wisdom that comprehends spiritual realities.* The Role of Revelation in Understanding:True spiritual understanding comes when we allow God to enlighten our minds. This revelation cuts through worldly reasoning and brings clarity to complex spiritual truths. It's about submitting our intellect to God and trusting Him to lead us into a fuller, more accurate understanding of His Word and His ways. Conclusion:As followers of Christ, we're not called to check our brains at the door of faith. Instead, we're invited to engage our minds actively, allowing God's Spirit to refine, guide, and enlighten our reasoning. This divine partnership leads to a deeper, more robust faith, grounded in both spirit and truth.Call to Action:Let's take up God's invitation to reason together with Him. Approach Scripture and spiritual matters with an open heart and mind, ready to receive God's wisdom. Let's pray for revelation and understanding, trusting that the Lord will guide us into all truth.Prayer:Heavenly Father, thank You for inviting us to reason together with You. Help us to use our minds in a way that honors You, always seeking Your guidance and wisdom. May our thoughts be aligned with Your truth, leading us to a deeper understanding of Your Word and Your will. Amen. This is Matthew Adams, reminding you that faith and reason are not enemies but allies in our walk with God. Keep seeking His wisdom in all things, and watch as He transforms your understanding, one divine insight at a time. Stay curious, stay humble, and stay connected to the Source of all wisdom. Hi, I'm Matthew Adams. Today, let's explore a biblical principle that's as practical as it is profound. It's about God's attentiveness to the details of our lives, exemplified in a story from Genesis and mirrored in our everyday experiences.Scripture:"God opened her eyes and she saw a well." - Genesis 21:19, NIVThis passage from Genesis speaks volumes about God's nature. He's not just the God of grand gestures and monumental miracles; He's also present in the minutiae, the small but significant moments of our lives. The story of a couple losing their car keys in a vast field and finding them through prayer is a modern-day reflection of this timeless truth.Join us as a FAITH PARTNER with a monthly gift of just $5, and unlock your FREE RightNow Media account! Your support keeps our podcast alive, our lights shining, and God's Word reaching across the globe. Can't contribute? You can still enjoy a free membership. The couple had walked far across the field and back again, only to find that the keys to their car were missing. They weren't locked in the car, and they weren't in their pockets or purse. Miles away from the nearest town, the couple turned around and looked at the vast field in front of them, knowing that somewhere in the grass lay their only means to get back to civilization before dark. And they didn't know where to begin to look. They tried to retrace their steps because there was no other choice, but the situation looked hopeless. But they also knew no situation is hopeless with God, so they prayed, “Lord, lead us to the keys. Open our eyes to see them.” The woman was even more specific. “Lord, which direction should I go?” She sensed that she should concentrate on the right side of the field, so she headed in that direction. After a few minutes, which seemed more like hours, she stumbled, and in catching herself, her eyes fell on a glimmer in the grass. There were the keys. A skeptic could call it a coincidence, but to a couple who prayed, it was an answer. God had guided their steps and helped them in a time of need.Driving Points:* God's Concern for the Details:Often, we reserve prayer for life's major crises or decisions, overlooking the fact that God cares about the smaller aspects of our lives. Whether it's a missing item or a minor inconvenience, God's attentiveness to these details is a testament to His personal care for us. Like the couple in the field, we're invited to involve God in every aspect of our lives, trusting that He's interested and willing to help.* Prayer as a Tool for Divine Guidance:Prayer isn't just a ritual; it's a practical tool for guidance. When the woman in our story prayed for direction, she received a nudge towards the right side of the field, leading her to the lost keys. This story illustrates that prayer can be a means through which God imparts wisdom and guidance, even in seemingly trivial matters.* The Reward of Seeking God's Help:God often uses our challenges, big or small, as opportunities to demonstrate His faithfulness. The search for the lost keys might have seemed daunting, but it became a testament to God's provision when approached with prayer. God doesn't always eliminate our challenges, but He often rewards our persistence and faith with His guidance and solutions. Conclusion:The biblical truth that God cares about the details of our lives is not just a comforting thought; it's a call to involve Him in every aspect of our existence. From the mundane to the monumental, God's guidance is available to those who seek it.Call to Action:Let's make it a habit to turn to God in prayer, not just in crises but in the everyday challenges we face. Whether it's a lost item or a small decision, let's trust that God is willing to guide us.Prayer:Heavenly Father, thank you for Your attention to even the smallest details of our lives. Help us to remember to turn to You in everything, trusting that You care and that Your guidance is always available. Amen. This is Matthew Adams, encouraging you to see God not just in life's big moments but also in its small ones. Keep seeking His guidance in all things, and watch as He faithfully leads you, step by step. Remember, no detail is too small for God's attention. Stay blessed and keep trusting in His perfect plan for your life. Get full access to My Reasons To Believe at myr2b.substack.com/subscribe
Hello, I'm Matthew Adams, and today I want to talk about the foundation of our spiritual lives. We're all builders in one way or another, crafting our lives, dreams, and destinies. In the words of Jesus from the Gospel of Luke, we find a blueprint for constructing a life that stands the test of time and storm.Scripture:"[Jesus said,] 'I will show you what it's like when someone comes to me, listens to my teaching, and then follows it. It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock.'" - Luke 6:47-48Jesus' analogy of building a house isn't just poetic; it's profoundly practical. It's about the bedrock principles of hearing His words and putting them into action. In a world where we often prioritize convenience over conviction, Jesus challenges us to dig deeper, to build not just for the present but for eternity.Driving Points:* The Illusion of Surface-Level Faith:We're often tempted to treat Jesus' teachings like buffet options, picking what suits us and ignoring the rest. But Christ calls us to a deeper commitment. His teachings on loving enemies, forgiving the unforgivable and living sacrificially go against our natural inclinations. Yet, these hard teachings are the very essence of a life built on solid rock.* The Challenge of Trust over Understanding:Jesus doesn't demand that we understand every directive. He asks for trust. Trusting Jesus means embracing teachings that may seem illogical or impossible. It's about believing in His authority over the enemy, accepting His promises on prayer, and following His radical commands, even when they don't align with our logic or comfort.* The Reward of Unwavering Obedience:When we truly follow Jesus, aligning our actions with His words, we're building a life that can withstand any storm. This obedience may not always be easy, but it is deeply rewarding. Like a house on solid rock, a life built on the teachings of Christ stands secure, no matter what comes its way. Conclusion:Jesus' call to follow His teachings is a call to spiritual resilience. It's an invitation to build our lives on something enduring, something that transcends the fleeting foundations of worldly wisdom and convenience.Call to Action:Let's commit ourselves anew to truly listening to Jesus and following His teachings. Let's embrace the challenge, even when it's hard, even when it doesn't make sense. Let's build our lives on the rock-solid foundation of His word.Prayer:Lord Jesus, give us the courage to trust You fully, to build our lives on the solid foundation of Your teachings. Help us to embrace Your words, even when they challenge us, and to find our strength and stability in You. Amen. This is Matthew Adams, reminding you that the strongest structures in life are built on the teachings of Christ. As you go about your daily life, remember to build wisely, choosing the eternal over the temporary, the rock over the sand. Stay strong, stay grounded, and keep following the Carpenter from Nazareth. Hello, I'm Matthew Adams. Today, we're delving into a crucial aspect of our spiritual journey: the discernment of truth amidst a cacophony of deception. In a world where lies often masquerade as truth, understanding Jesus' words in Luke becomes essential for every spiritual warrior.Scripture:"[Jesus said,] 'Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them.'" - Luke 10:19In this powerful statement, Jesus doesn't just offer us protection; He equips us with the authority to discern and dismantle the lies that seek to derail us. Our walk as followers of Christ is not passive; it's an active engagement in the battle for truth. We make The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast and this newsletter free for everyone to strengthen Christians everywhere. To support our work and help keep the lights on, consider a paid subscription if you are in a position to.Driving Points:* Recognizing the Counterfeit:The enemy's tactics often involve subtle distortions of truth. These counterfeit messages can appear as half-truths, twisted promises, or even as seemingly innocent thoughts that stray slightly from God's path. Our first line of defense is recognition. By immersing ourselves in God's Word and staying in constant communication with Him, we sharpen our ability to differentiate His truth from the enemy's lies.* Rejecting the Deception:Once a lie is recognized, our response must be immediate and firm. This isn't about gentle dismissal but about taking a stand. As spiritual warriors, we're called to actively reject any thought, word, or philosophy that doesn't align with the character and purposes of God. This requires a heart firmly anchored in Christ, unswayed by the allure of falsehood.* Upholding God's Truth:In a battlefield littered with deception, our ultimate weapon is the unwavering truth of God. This isn't just about defense; it's about offense – advancing the Kingdom by living out and proclaiming the truths God has revealed to us. Our commitment to His truth becomes our testimony, a beacon of light in a world often shrouded in darkness. Conclusion:As followers of Jesus, we're not just wanderers in a world of confusion; we're empowered conquerors over deception. Armed with discernment and the authority given by Christ, we can confidently navigate through life's challenges, crushing the lies that seek to hinder us.Call to Action:Let's embrace this authority with boldness. When deception rears its head, confront it with the power of Christ in you.Prayer:Heavenly Father, grant us the wisdom to recognize the lies of the enemy and the courage to reject them. Fill us with Your truth, and empower us to live as triumphant warriors, advancing Your Kingdom and upholding Your righteousness. Greetings, fellow travelers on the path of faith. I'm Matthew Adams, stepping into a narrative that's as old as the hills and as fresh as the morning dew. Today, we're exploring an ancient story that resonates with a timeless truth for spiritual warriors everywhere.Scripture:[The Lord] said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD!'” - Ezekiel 37:4, NIVIn a desolate valley scattered with the remnants of life long passed, the prophet Ezekiel stands at the precipice of the impossible. The Lord presents a tableau of dry bones, a symbol of hopelessness and finality. Yet, in this vision, God hands the megaphone to mankind, and the prophet is commanded to speak life into death. We make The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast and this newsletter free for everyone to strengthen and become better listeners. To support our work and help keep the lights on, consider a paid subscription if you are in a position to.Driving Points:* Divine Partnership:It's an odd job, isn't it? Almighty God, asking a mere mortal to give a command that only Divine breath can fulfill. But therein lies the crux of our calling. We are co-laborers with Christ, stewards of a spoken authority that has the power to align with heaven and alter earth's reality. Our voice, when echoing God's decree, becomes a catalyst for the miraculous.* The Commission of Speech:It's a wonder, the weight that words carry. They can crush a spirit or raise valleys of dry bones to vibrant life. The charge isn't just to blabber but to declare with intention, aligning our utterances with the heartbeat of heaven. When we articulate the divine will, we're not just moving lips, but we're stirring the Spirit to action.* The Resurrection Effect:This is where the rubber meets the road. Our speech doesn't just bounce off the walls; it has a destination and a purpose. Just as Ezekiel witnessed sinews and flesh knitting together at his words, our proclamation of God's promises can breathe life into dead situations, restore hope to despondent souls, and usher in the reign of God's Kingdom on earth. Conclusion:As spiritual warriors, our battle cry isn't formed by sheer volume or eloquence. It's birthed in the quiet place of listening, where God's voice becomes our voice. When we speak what He's breathing, dry bones dance, and hope resurrects.Call to Action:Let's not underestimate the power of a word well-spoken. Speak life into the dead areas of your world. Proclaim hope into despair. Declare God's truth over lies. Be bold, fellow warriors, for your words are a weapon forged in the fires of eternity.Prayer:Lord Almighty, tune our ears to Your frequency and our words to Your will. May we not just be hearers of Your Word but also fearless speakers of Your truth. Empower us to echo Your voice with clarity and authority, that the dry bones around us may rise and walk. Amen. This is Matthew Adams, reminding you that our words are more than sound; they're the echo of eternity in a world craving revival. Until next time, let your voice be a beacon of life and a herald of God's unshakable truth. Keep speaking, keep believing, and watch as God moves mountains through your faith-filled proclamations. Hello, I'm Matthew Adams, stepping into the perplexing narrative of a man of God caught in a divine test of fidelity. Let's unfold the layers of a story where hearing God's voice was not just about discernment but about unyielding obedience to His explicit command.Scripture:"The LORD gave [the man of God] this command: 'You must not eat or drink anything while you are there, and do not return to Judah by the same way you came.' But the old prophet answered, 'I am a prophet, too, just as you are. And an angel gave me this command from the LORD: 'Bring him home with you so he can have something to eat and drink.' But the old man was lying to him." - 1 Kings 13:17-18This intriguing passage from 1 Kings 13 presents a dire warning wrapped in a historical account. The man of God, who initially shows steadfastness, falters at a contradictory word from an elder prophet, leading to a fatal consequence. It's a potent reminder that divine instructions are not suggestions but mandates. My Reasons To Believe is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.Driving Points:* Irrefutable Divine Direction:Our spiritual journey mandates an unshakable adherence to God's guidance. Like the man of God, we might face conflicting voices, but our compass must remain fixed on the original instructions from the Lord. Divergence, especially when it soothes our immediate desires, is often a snare.* Discernment Over Deception:The account underscores the critical need for discernment. Deception often wears a cloak of authority, as seen with the old prophet. The spiritual warrior must be vigilant, weighing every new word against God's established commands. Only then can we avoid being misled by the "angel of light" deceptions.* Obedience as Our Armor:Stubbornness in adherence to God's Word is our spiritual armor. Obedience is the linchpin of our defense against the adversary's ploys. We're called to not only listen to God's voice but to hold fast to it, allowing it to be the final say in our decisions and actions. Conclusion:The biblical account serves not just as a cautionary tale but also as a blueprint for our spiritual warfare. In a world rife with voices clamoring for our attention, our victory lies in our unwavering obedience to the Word of God. We must be stubbornly aligned with His will, immovable in our devotion to His truth.Call to Action:Let's stand firm, fellow warriors. In a society that values flexibility, may we be inflexibly rooted in the Word. Let's resolve to be immovable when God has clearly spoken, even in the face of alluring alternatives. It's our obedience that validates our faith.Prayer:Lord, in a world of competing voices, grant us the conviction to be steadfast in Your commands. Strengthen us to discern Your voice and the resolve to follow it without deviation. May our obedience be as firm as the ground beneath our feet and our faith as clear as the day You have made. Amen.So as we navigate this life's treacherous paths, let's carry with us the lesson of the man of God: an unyielding obedience to the explicit Word of the Lord. It's not merely hearing His voice that counts, but the steadfast action that follows. Until next time, keep your spiritual ears attuned and your resolve steel-strong. This is Matthew Adams, signing off with a prayer for clarity and courage on your journey. Get full access to My Reasons To Believe at myr2b.substack.com/subscribe
In this episode, Ross dives into the mental frameworks used in marketing, focusing on the Pirate Metrics (AARRR) approach including acquisition, activation, retention, and referral. They also discuss mental models, the awareness and consideration stages of buying, and strategies for closing sales and delighting customers. Detailed Breakdown: Marketing is a complex and ever-evolving field and it can be hard to keep up with the latest strategies. That's why it's important to understand the mental frameworks and strategies that successful marketers use to stay ahead of the game and get maximum results. One such framework is AARRR Pirate Metrics, which was coined by 500 Startups founder Dave McClure. This framework breaks down marketing into five key components – acquisition, activation, retention, referral, and revenue – to help marketers understand how to drive maximum value for their businesses. Acquisition is the strategy and efforts you use to bring customers to your website. Activation involves getting a user to have a positive experience with your offering. Retention is about measuring whether people are coming back, while referral focuses on encouraging satisfied customers to refer new customers. All of these components must work together for the best possible results. For example, SaaS marketers can employ pricing optimization and cross selling to maximize revenue. A mental model is also important when it comes to effective marketing. It is an overarching term for any concept, framework, or worldview that you use to revisit in your mind. This concept of mental models helps marketers to think more holistically and understand the bigger picture. Another important concept in marketing is the awareness-consideration-closing funnel. In the awareness stage, potential customers become aware of their problem, then in the consideration stage, companies need to provide web presence to help prospects evaluate their solutions, before finally helping them make a choice in the closing stage. To help customers in all stages of the funnel, marketers need to produce content such as blog posts, social media posts, white papers, and YouTube videos to provide value. It all comes down to helping customers be successful and delighting them by putting a smile on their face and keeping them retained. By understanding and mastering Pirate Metrics and Mental frameworks, you can develop an effective marketing strategy that will help you get the most value for your business. Let's dive into a moment I recently experienced and understand how God sometimes uses our daily interactions to teach us profound truths.Scripture:"[God said,] 'Now I will tell you new things, secrets you have not yet heard.'" - ISAIAH 48:6Have you ever had a moment when someone's words struck you so deeply that they felt like a message from God? That's exactly what happened to me. Through a simple conversation between my wife and son, I realized that sometimes, we keep asking God the same questions when He has already given us the answers. We just need to trust and believe. The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. But once God assures us, it stands true forever. His promises never expire. If He says He's with you, He means it - for eternity.* Growing by Seeking the Unknown:God loves a curious heart. When we ask Him to reveal new aspects of Himself or to deepen our understanding, He is always ready to teach. This pursuit is not about our needs but about genuinely wanting to know Him better.* Discovering God in the Everyday:God often speaks to us in ways we don't expect. Whether it's through nature, a song, or even a conversation, He's constantly teaching us. We just have to be attentive and listen. Conclusion:God's voice isn't limited to the grand or the extraordinary. It can be found in the gentle whispers of everyday life. When we open our hearts and truly seek to know Him, we'll realize He's been speaking to us all along.Call to Action:Let's challenge ourselves. For the next week, try to spot moments where God might be speaking to you through your everyday experiences. Whether it's a line from a book, a chat with a friend, or a moment in nature - keep your ears and heart open to God's voice.Prayer:Heavenly Father, I yearn to hear Your voice in every moment of my life. Greetings to all seekers of truth and faith! I'm Matthew Adams, here to embark with you on a journey of spiritual discovery. Today, let's dive deep into understanding the flowing river of God's voice within each believer and how we, as spiritual warriors, can tune into its current.Scripture:"Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, 'Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.'" - JOHN 7:38The image of rivers of living water flowing from one's heart is powerful. It signifies the infinite wisdom and guidance of God, readily available to all who believe in Him. To truly connect with God means to drink from this eternal fountain, immersing ourselves in His wisdom, love, and direction. The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.Driving Points:* The Internal Spring - Our Direct Line to God:God's spirit dwells in the heart of every believer. This internal spring is a direct channel to God's voice, allowing us to access His guidance, wisdom, and love. When we listen, we can hear the quiet whispers or roaring affirmations guiding us on our spiritual journey.* Discernment - Navigating the River's Current:While the river within is pure, our thoughts can sometimes muddy its waters. Not every thought or impression we have comes directly from God. Discernment is our compass, helping us differentiate between our own desires and God's guiding voice. With practice and faith, we can become adept at recognizing His voice amidst the noise.* God's Clear Guidance - No Darkness in His Gifts:God's gifts come with clarity. He doesn't leave us guessing or stranded in ambiguity. When He blesses us with His spirit and voice, He also equips us with the understanding and means to harness these gifts. Trusting in Him ensures we're never left fumbling in the dark but are always illuminated by His divine light. Conclusion:God's voice, flowing like a river within us, is a testament to His boundless love and guidance. As believers, we have the privilege and responsibility to tune into this current, immersing ourselves in His wisdom and direction.Call to Action:Let's make a conscious effort to still our minds, open our hearts, and listen to the river within. Let us strive to discern God's voice and let it guide our steps, knowing that His guidance is always pure, loving, and true.Prayer:Lord, may the rivers of Your living water flow abundantly within me. Let Your Holy Spirit surge through my being, guiding, and enlightening me. Grant me discernment to recognize Your voice and the faith to follow it without hesitation. Amen.Thank you for joining me, Matthew Adams, on this enlightening journey. May the river of God's voice always flow within you, guiding you, comforting you, and leading you to eternal truth. In the tapestry of spiritual journeys, a hardened heart can become an unintentional barrier, muffling the divine voice calling out to us. It's a silent but powerful challenge faced by many, often unbeknownst to them. I am Matthew Adams, a Christian podcaster, and I invite you to reflect on the state of your heart and how it resonates with God's call.Scripture:[Jesus said,] “The hearts of these people are hardened, and their ears cannot hear, and they have closed their eyes —so their eyes cannot see, and their ears cannot hear, and their hearts cannot understand, and they cannot turn to me and let me heal them.” MATTHEW 13:15In the symphony of spiritual experiences, hearing the voice of God requires a delicate tuning of the heart and mind. When our heart grows distant and impenetrable, the harmonious chords of God's guidance become faint. The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.Driving Point 1: The Gradual DescentMost people don't wake up one day and decide to shut God out. Rather, it's a slow descent. Distractions, worldly pressures, or personal pain might lead us away from God's voice, resulting in spiritual deafness. This isn't always intentional; it's a drift that can happen to anyone, making vigilance crucial.Driving Point 2: Rebuilding SensitivityOne of the most potent ways to combat this spiritual inertia is by cultivating a heart receptive to God's whispers. Daily communion with Him, through prayer and Scripture, fosters an environment of trust, openness, and renewed sensitivity.Driving Point 3: Embracing God's HealingThe beauty of God's love lies in His unyielding desire to heal us. While hardened hearts may resist His voice, His pursuit is relentless. By acknowledging our vulnerability and seeking His presence, we allow God's healing to penetrate our spiritual barricades. Conclusion:The journey of faith isn't a straight path. It's filled with highs and lows, moments of clarity, and times of confusion. But with intentional effort, we can align our hearts to the divine frequency, ensuring that the whispers of God are always discernible amidst the cacophony of life.Call to Action:Let's not wait for a crisis to turn our attention to God. Instead, let's cultivate daily habits that keep our hearts malleable and open. Whether it's setting aside time for daily devotion, joining a spiritual group, or simply taking a moment of silent reflection, let's make hearing God's voice a priority.Prayer:Dear Lord, search my heart and reveal to me its state. If there are hardened areas, I ask for your healing touch. Soften me, Lord, that I may be receptive to your guidance and wisdom. Let my heart be a sanctuary where your voice is always clear and cherished. In the vast expanse of human experiences, our connection with God remains the most profound and transformative. A heart aligned with God's will is one that truly experiences the depth and breadth of life's beauty. As you go forward, may you always be attuned to the divine whisper, leading you closer to God's purpose for your life. In our human experience, we often rely on patterns and regularity, seeking solace in what's familiar and expected. But the God we serve, described vividly throughout the scriptures, showcases boundless creativity in His interactions with us. Matthew Adams here, and today we're diving into the myriad of ways God communicates.Scripture: "God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us." - 1 CORINTHIANS 12:6God's interactions in history display an array of signs and wonders. From Moses and the burning bush to Gideon's fleece, His ways of reaching out are endless. These methods, each unique and distinct, are tailored to the individual, proving the vastness of God's creative approach. The underlying message? God doesn't stick to a script; He knows us intimately and chooses the best way to speak to our individual hearts. The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.Driving Point 1: Avoiding Formulas It's human nature to try and understand God by detecting a pattern, a formula, in His actions. But to say definitively, “This is how God speaks,” would be limiting the limitless. While there might be general patterns, God's methods are as varied as the stars in the sky. Embrace the unpredictability.Driving Point 2: Embracing Diversity in Experience Each person's encounter with God is deeply personal. Some might see visions, while others find Him in the silence. The beauty lies not in comparing, but in celebrating these varied experiences. As we share our stories, let's remember that God's voice resonates differently with each one of us because of our unique makeups and backgrounds.Driving Point 3: Expect the Unexpected God's methods, while rooted in His unchanging nature, often surprise us. Rather than holding onto past experiences, we should keep our hearts open, eager and excited for the new ways He might reach out. His creativity knows no bounds, and He loves to reveal Himself in unexpected ways. Conclusion: Our God is not monotonous. He is an artist, a creator, using an array of colors and brushes to paint His love and messages onto the canvas of our lives. As we journey through our faith, let's remember to celebrate the myriad ways He communicates, embracing each new method with open hearts.Call to Action: Let's challenge ourselves. This week, try to listen without expectations. Open your heart and mind, and ask God to surprise you. Share your experiences with your community, and let's revel in the countless ways God speaks to us.Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your boundless creativity. Help us to approach each day with expectation, eager for the new ways You might choose to speak to us. We worship You, not just for the messages You share, but for the beautiful and diverse ways You choose to share them. Open our minds and hearts to receive whatever You have for us. Amen.Stay blessed and always be receptive. God's voice, in its infinite creativity, is ever-present, speaking to us in ways we might never have imagined. Matthew Adams here eager to break bread with you. The world is noisy, often with a multitude of voices that seem promising. But only one voice promises truth and delivery…God's voice. So, how do we truly hear Him amidst the clatter?Scripture: "[Prophets and priests] offer superficial treatments for my people's mortal wound. They give assurances of peace when there is no peace." JEREMIAH 6:14In a world filled with messages that tickle our ears, it becomes increasingly crucial to discern genuine prophecy from the superficial. True prophetic voices strike a balance, offering us hard truths laced with hope. And, in understanding God's voice, we uncover the blueprint for our spiritual journey.Point 1: Understanding the True Nature of Prophecy. Contrary to the popular belief that prophecy is about doom and gloom, it's really about God's honesty. Biblical prophets, from Isaiah to Ezekiel, offered not just warnings but visions of hope. Their messages? Raw, real, and wrapped in redemption. Just as the seasons change, God's words oscillate between caution and comfort, preparing us for both storms and sunshine.Point 2: Beyond the Extremes - Finding Balance in His Words. It's an error to think God's voice will always appease us. But it's equally wrong to believe it'll always reprove us. He corrects with love and confirms with joy. Recognizing this balance is vital. For every challenge He presents, there's an attached promise. For every 'no,' there's an eventual 'yes' that aligns with His perfect plan for us.Point 3: The Path of Truth - Navigating Desires vs. Destiny. God knows our heart's desires even before we voice them. While He's the ultimate giver, He's also our protector. Sometimes, what we want isn't what's best. Trust that His 'no' is a redirection to a better 'yes.' His voice isn't about restriction but redirection towards His glorious destiny for us.Conclusion: God's voice is a masterful symphony of truth, hope, correction, and love. Tuning into it means welcoming a mixture of comforting melodies and challenging notes, understanding that every piece is essential for our spiritual growth.Call to Action: Let's lean in, church. Dive deeper into His Word. Pray for discernment. Listen intently. Challenge yourself to welcome His voice, whether it cautions or comforts, knowing it's sculpting you for His purpose.Prayer:Heavenly Father, guide us to discern Your voice amidst the clamor. Grant us the grace to embrace both Your corrections and comforts. Mold our desires to match Your divine destiny for us. Let every word You whisper resonate deeply, drawing us closer to Your heart and Your purpose. Amen.Thank you for sharing this time with "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast." I will advise you and watch over you. Do not be like a senseless horse or mule that needs a bit and bridle to keep it under control.” PSALM 32:8-9Feeling like a pinball, bouncing from one obstacle to another, is something many of us can relate to. We yearn for clear direction from God, hoping to avoid the frustration of closed doors. Today's episode discusses how we can navigate life's challenges, trust in God's guidance, and respond to His whispers. The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. While it can be a source of frustration, it's essential to remember that these experiences serve a purpose and can contribute to our spiritual growth and understanding of God's ways.Point 2: Embracing the Process Sometimes the journey, with all its detours and redirections, is just as important as the destination. These experiences can refine our character, cultivate our patience, and teach us to trust God's timing, even when we face obstacles or delays.Point 3: Hearing God First God yearns to communicate with us even before we take the first step. He wants us to hear His voice and follow His guidance. To do so, we must cultivate our ability to hear His whispers, making time for prayer, contemplation, and listening. Conclusion: Though closed doors can be frustrating, they offer valuable lessons and opportunities for spiritual growth. God promises to guide, advise, and watch over every step we take. Our task is to listen, trust, and respond to His voice.Call to Action: Let's approach life with an open heart, ready to listen to God's voice, and prepared to trust His guidance, no matter where it leads us. Welcome back to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". I'm your host, Matthew Adams. In today's episode, we're taking a journey back to the day of Pentecost and exploring the profound implications it has for us today in our personal communication with God.Scripture: "Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams." (ACTS 2:17)We live in an era where direct communication with God is not just possible but intended by Him. Today's episode reveals how the day of Pentecost marked the start of a new spiritual era and how we, as children of God, can experience prophetic sensitivities, visions, and dreams. The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.Point 1: The New Era of the Spirit Pentecost marked the beginning of a new era. The Holy Spirit, the divine communicator, was poured out on the believers, and prophecy, visions, and dreams became accessible to all God's people. This moment demonstrates God's desire to communicate with each one of us, breaking down barriers of gender, age, and status.Point 2: Accessibility of God God, through His Spirit, is accessible to every believer. The coming of the Holy Spirit signifies a shift from a distant God to an intimate, personal, and accessible God. As 2 Corinthians 5:17 indicates, all who belong to Christ are a new creation, capable of receiving the gifts and hearing the voice of the Spirit.Point 3: The Reality of Spiritual Droughts Even in this era of open communication, there are times when God seems silent, causing us to go through dark and confusing times. Yet, these periods are temporary and not reflective of God's nature. He desires for us to know Him, and it is our role to continue seeking Him, even in the face of seeming silence. Conclusion: We're living in the age of divine communication. This is a time of open communication with God, where prophetic revelations, visions, and dreams are not uncommon but an invitation to deeper communion with God.Call to Action: Let's press into God, seeking to know Him more deeply. May we pray and yearn for the clear expressions of His truth in our lives. Let's invite the Holy Spirit to guide us into a reality where the spiritual environment of Pentecost is active in our lives today.Prayer: Spirit of God, stir in us a longing for Your truth. We ask for visions and dreams, in whatever form You choose to reveal them. Help us to live in the free-flowing spiritual environment of Pentecost today and every day.Thank you for joining me today on "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". Hola mi gente, I hope you are doing well this week! We have so much to talk about, my home office is done and now we talk about a very important topic, the overturn with Affirmative Action by the Supreme Court. As I am sure you can assume, I completely disagree with it. Like Eden says; “when the plan fails the adventure begins.” In this episode of THE UNRULE/Y ENTREPRENEUR podcast, I brought on my client Eden Carpenter to discuss the importance of embracing imperfection and the messy parts of creation in entrepreneurship. We were on a coaching call and I asked her if we could start recording this episode for you because we use the best analogies to illustrate how getting messy and embracing the process turns into the most beautiful art and as entrepreneurs what we create is our art form. This week your call to action is throw out the plan, play and go find the adventure! Welcome to another episode of "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". Today we are unpacking a powerful statement made by Jesus in the book of Matthew 28:20. This is a verse that holds a beautiful promise - "Be sure of this: I am with you always."The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber. This promise of Jesus forms the cornerstone of our faith, reminding us that we are not alone and that He is always with us. It's a testament to God's constant presence in our lives, and His desire for an ongoing relationship with us. Through a deep dive into this verse, we will uncover three enlightening points to consider.Point One - Assurance of His Presence: The first point of reflection is the assurance of His presence. Jesus doesn't leave any room for doubt or interpretation - He is with us always. This promise applies to all circumstances and all seasons of life. God is not just passively observing, He is actively involved and engaged in our lives.Point Two - Constant Communication: Taking inspiration from John Hyde, the famous missionary to India, we see a profound understanding of God's continuous presence. He experienced his relationship with God as a constant conversation. This implies that we are invited not only to speak to God but also to listen, and to be in constant dialogue with Him.Point Three - Beyond the Tangible: God's presence isn't confined to physical spaces or circumstances. As believers, we are temples of the Holy Spirit. God dwells within us, making our bodies, minds, and spirits a sanctuary. This deep-seated understanding transforms how we approach every aspect of our lives.Closing Conclusion: In conclusion, Jesus' promise in Matthew 28:20 is a powerful reminder of His enduring presence and willingness to engage in constant communication with us. The truth is, God is not distant. He is closer than our very breath, intimately involved in our lives, and is always ready for conversation.Call to Action: Let's take a moment today to acknowledge God's presence, start a conversation with Him, and listen for His voice. Allow His promise to guide you, reassure you, and transform your relationship with Him.Closing Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank You for Your reassuring promise that You are always with us. Help us to remember this truth in every circumstance. Guide us as we seek to deepen our relationship with You, learning to converse with You openly and honestly. May our hearts always remain open to Your guidance and comfort. Amen.Thank you for reading The Power Of God's Whisper. This post is public so feel free to share it.
