David Andry returns to the podcast to chat with Jimmy about his new Mad Cave series Crush Depth. David and Tim Daniel have written a fascinating story of a submarine crew, isolated for years from the surface, and on the cusp of discovering something terrible. Issue 1 is about as good as it gets to establish the world, build tension, and then Artist Alex Sanchez delivers phenomenal artwork both beautiful and unsettling. David and Jimmy chat Morning Star, why Crush Depth made sense as a follow-up, his writing partnership with Tim Daniel, and some of those great 80s/90s underwater series like The Abyss, Leviathan, DeepStar Six, and The Rift. It's always a pleasure to have David on the podcast. FOC (Final Order Cutoff) for Crush Depth is February 24th so make sure to tell your LCS to add it to your pull list by then. Issue 1 comes out March 19th. From Mad Cave Studios Two brothers locked in a sibling rivalry wrestle for command of a massive nuclear submarine, The Absolution, in a near future irrevocably altered by climate change. Chief Science Officer Liana Pearson finds herself not only caught between the Wilder brothers but drowning in her fear of the surface world. When something alien infiltrates The Absolution and upends the balance of power, Liana is left with only two deadly options--reaching the toxic surface world or steering the sub into the unforgiving abyss and crush depth-Breathe Deep! Learn the secrets of Ayama Yoga with Yogi Aaron and turn your deepest pains into powerful catalysts for personal growth on Unleash Thyself.Hey friend! Let me tell you about this inspiring chat with Yogi Aaron. He shares an incredible story of how a near-death experience in the Himalayas completely changed his perspective on life. After getting hit by a boulder and breaking his leg on a mountain glacier, he thought he might die up there. In making peace with his life in what could have been his final moments, two realizations emerged: profound gratitude for the life he'd lived, and clarity on how he wanted to live going forward if he survived. It shook him awake - he slowed down and started appreciating life's little moments. And it set him on a path toward his purpose: opening a yoga retreat in Costa Rica to help others find wellness and inner growth through yoga. In this motivating talk, Yogi Aaron explains his unique muscle-activating approach to yoga for living pain-free, shares his incredible backstory, and gives insights on topics like: - Using breathwork and meditation to quiet your monkey mind - Living limitlessly beyond fear and limitations - Waking up every day and living your purpose I came away so jazzed up and inspired after chatting with this guy! Eating in the evening isn't a problem in itself! But if it feels like autopilot or you're going beyond comfy fullness, it might be mindless eating in action. I have struggled with mindless evening eating in the past and I've recently had this old habit creep up on me and as I share in this episode, I've spent well over 100k on my health and education over the past few years and I still struggle at times. In this episode, we want to share the two main areas contributing to mindless evening eating: the physiological side and the psychological side. We'll discuss the signals you're receiving from your body from that day's nutrient intake and why this may be a factor with your hunger cues. We'll also dive into the psychological side and break down some key habits around eating such as plating your food instead of eating it out of the container or package, removing distractions, breathing deep and relaxing before eating, and more! Notes: I had an early morning voice as I was recording this, full of creaks and gaps -- and it shifts as it goes! I didn't rerecord, partly because, you know, time, and partly because I'm challenging myself to let recordings be human and real, and partly because A Breath of Song is all about turning up with the voices we have... so you're welcome!

Ep #251 - The parallels between working out or yoga to the journey from sobriety to recovery are so noticeable I must share this perspective with you. I learned a lot from my first yoga session in years today. I will not repair years of shortening my muscles in one session. I am not going to benefit myself by pushing into a stretch so deeply that I injure myself. I am in this for the long haul. I want the benefits of stretching. I want to release the tightness in my shoulders, back, legs, and everywhere else - and all of that will be a process that will achieve me progress the longer I maintain this practice. In counseling, yoga, and breathing, the term practice is used frequently. Very few activities or things are mastered in life. We wake up, do it again, and commit to this behavior as a practice of life mastery - releasing the expectation that "mastering" it is the objective. The journey is the objective. The journey is the destination. Just hit play, and let's dive in with our open minds, hearts, and energies, bringing everyone into the fold - you are in the right place, at the right time...right now. It is time. It has been time. To live is to shine. Step into the SUN. Stand up, step forward, raise your hand - it's your turn, head the call! ******************************************** I know you enjoy the show, so PLEASE SUBSCRIBE, RATE, AND REVIEW it on your preferred streaming app or click this link to review it on iTunes. It's all in your head, The solutions and cures, The possibilities, limitations and fears. PAUSE… If you can embrace, The power of your thoughts, And know that you are the one, Who gets to decide, What stays and what goes, The game of life can be fun. LONG PAUSE… Just imagine the joy, That awaits here for you, When you get that you are in charge. Imagine the freedom, Of living your truth, What's possible begins to enlarge. PAUSE… Accepting this truth, Means knowing yourself, Being honest with what you find, As you go exploring, Your thoughts and your beliefs, And all those scripts in your mind. PAUSE… It takes great care, Humility and grace, To sift through thoughts in your head. Forgive yourself now, For the ones that have hurt, You can choose kind ones instead. PAUSE… The more that you practice, Dissolving the thoughts, That don't align with your dreams. The more space you make, For thoughts that create, That blossom, give life, and beam. LONG PAUSE… It's all in your head, This life that is yours, Each thought will create what you see. It's all in your head, So do the hard work, Of creating thoughts that bring glee. PAUSE… So what do you want, Apart from the scripts, That others have imparted on you? What do you want? It's all here, you see, Go within and discover what's true. PAUSE… As you embrace, The power of your thoughts, You know that you are the one, Who gets to decide, What stays and what goes, Oh, this life is quite fun. Namaste, Beautiful

Our next Artist Stories episode is with someone we've been fans of for many years - ever since his 2016 “Give Back What You Stole From Me”. Oscar Jerome is a UK singer, guitarist, and composer who's been involved with music since a very young age. He's got a pretty signature blend of jazz & soul that you have most probably already heard in his acclaimed songs “Do You Really” & “Gravitate”. He just released his sophomore album called The Spoon which took a more cinematic & melancholic approach and he stopped by for a chat to give us some details about it and to also share stories about his creative process, touring with Kamasi Washington and the Blue Note: Reimagined project. Hello to you listening in Mason, Wisconsin!Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Time Out Tuesday and your host, Diane Wyzga.Walking home around Holmes Harbor I stopped to look out at the still water, boats at anchor, an eagle soaring the updrafts, not a cloud in the sky. Taking in a deep breath I found that my shoulders had bunched up around my ears with all I had been carrying. My silly human ways reminded me of a story about a team of pack animals struggling their way up a mountainside. The last pony in line was wearing just a saddle but the horse ahead of him was burdened with boxes and bags and baskets. The pony said: Hey brother, that's a heavy load you're carrying! The pack horse turned it's head and asked: What load?Like that pack horse we get used to carrying so much we don't even realize it. Practical Tip: Stop. Right here. Right now. Drop your shoulders. Breath deep. Smile to your shoulders. Thank them for what they've been carrying for you. Tell them that in the future you will take care to burden them less. Feel them smiling back at you. You're invited: “Come for the stories - stay for the magic!” Speaking of magic, I hope you'll subscribe, share a nice shout out on your social media or podcast channel of choice, and join us next time!
