After some well-deserved downtime spent with family and recharging for the new year, Sam and Roop are officially back for Season 4 of Little Talks! This season kicks off with a bang because, as you know, life at an agency is never dull.First, let's talk about some new faces! We're excited to welcome Becca Barnard, stepping into the role of Digital Project Manager, and Maddie Westbrock, our January intern from Cascia Hall. Maddie will be spending the month soaking up knowledge from our amazing team, and we couldn't be more excited to have her on board. But that's not all—how could we forget our 24-hour Vegas adventure? To celebrate the new year, the team took a quick but meaningful trip for some awesome team bonding. Obviously, we crush it as a team in the office, but spending a day outside of work as a group adds a whole new layer to our dynamic. Keep an eye on our LinkedIn and Instagram for some Vegas highlights! And if that wasn't enough, (told you it's busy over here at LA) the main topic: Sam and Chris Kizer's Miami trip for the MAGNET media conference. MAGNET is a CEO network where Sam is serving as Chairman this year. They spent six months planning, and it paid off with a flawless, successful event. We're so proud of the work they've put in to make it all happen!Happy New Year from all of us at Littlefield Agency! Don't miss next week's episode, where the gang talks about the rise of podcasts as a LEGIT engagement channel for B2B brands.-Brandon, Brenda, Claudia, Sam & RoopTell us what you think!

This episode was recorded during my last few days in Geneva, where I relocated to take on the role of Global Digital Media and E-Commerce Director at luxury group PUIG's international holding before I move back to Paris. In the course of our conversation, my aim is to carve out a space within the realms of fashion, beauty, and luxury, welcoming everyone with their dreams and differences. My first full time role was as Digital Project Manager at Dior at their headquarters in Paris. At first glance, my journey may look like a luxury and tech fairytale. After Dior, Google, LVMH, and now at PUIG. In due course of time, I've also joined advisory boards for beauty brands and a fashion rental start-up. I currently serve as Chairperson of the board of Digital Business Ireland and have given lectures on luxury and tech around the globe. However, throughout my roles, I have faced many challenges and rejections, navigated my fears with resilience and hope. From being a mere observer to standing at the crossroads of bringing luxury brands and campaigns to life with innovation and technology, my journey begins with a transformative visit to an exhibition at London's Somerset House: "DIOR ILLUSTRATED," in 2010. Since then, my life has evolved with fashion, beauty, many facets of the luxury and tech worlds and beyond. In this episode, I aim to illuminate the intricacies of my journey—the learnings, the dreams, the failures, and many milestones in the world of tech and luxury. Also, in the spirit of transparency, I'm using the Tech Powered Luxury podcast to learn from the best. She gives tips on influential leadership which informs how to negotiate with other people, how to open to new ways of thinking to resolve unprecedented problems, and how to be upfront about risk.HIGHLIGHT QUOTESCreate trust by following through with promises - Banu: "Trust comes from how much of what I say lines up with what I do. It's a massive input of integrity that you have to show because obviously when you're coming in and talking to a person for the first time, we can all be nice. There are plenty of internet articles out there that tell you how to make a good first impression. But after that, how much you follow through is what's important, and that sense of integrity is what people need to understand."Document when decisions are made so everyone understands the why - Banu: "If you don't understand the why behind a specific decision, then it really becomes a political game. And there are different ways of dealing with the political side of things, but if there was a rational decision that was being made and generally in product management, I've been fortunate enough not to get into the political side of things but really understand why a certain decision was made. Document that and make sure everyone understands the why."Get to know Banu and what she's up to:About BanuConnect with Vivek and find out more about what he's up to:About VivekAbout The Agile CoachAgile Coach WebsiteIf you enjoy The Agile Coach and are interested in learning more, you can check us out at the link below:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/the-agile-coach-llc

On the podcast today we have Daniel Schutzsmith. Daniel is the Website and Digital Project Manager for Pinellas County Government, where he creates websites to help the public get the information they need. We start off the conversation by talking about the future of themes in WordPress. Since WordPress 5.9 websites have been able to use block based themes. These allow you to do more with your website without having to touch the code. You can add headers, footers, and create your website navigation. The principle is that more and more functionality is going to be moved into blocks and, given that much of this functionality was the domain of themes, do we now need a multitude of block based themes? Would it be optimal to have one ‘base' theme built into Core? A theme which you can build on top of, and everyone is familiar with. His team is quite large and when the Block Editor came around in WordPress 5.0 he, like many others, needed to decide whether to jump on board or stay with what they were familiar with. They began using the Block Editor, and on the podcast today we talk about how that decision went. We talk about how they managed educating their team in the new workflows, and how they created videos and tutorials to assist them as the problems arose. Daniel is very excited about the future of WordPress, especially about the utility of block patterns and the new Pattern Creator, but he's also excited about the future of the internet in general, and so, towards the end of the podcast we get into a conversation about how he thinks that automation is going play a key role in future website and web application builds. On this episode of Get the Balance Right we are joined by Ben Aston. Our topic today is turning a bootstrapped side hustle into a business that generates over 3 million dollars annually through recurring revenue. Ben accomplished this success through hard work, but accredits some of his success to luck. Like many, his digital adventures started with a website. Rather than go down the route of a designer, Ben’s agency experience was more heavily concentrated on the account and project manager side. When he moved from England to Canada, to relieve his potential boredom as the new guy in town, he started as a side hustle. He began with the Digital Project Manager, which was a blog that developed into a membership driven business. Ben eventually formed the Black and White Zebra, a media publishing company. After toiling away for years, Ben was able to turn his side business into a multi-million dollar mini-empire that serves an international community. But if that wasn’t enough, he’s also the host of the podcast, the Indie Media Club. But who was this mysterious person who was ‘location agnostic’ with a photo of a lone cat on her about page. Well, we’re delighted to answer all these questions today and more as we welcome Natalie to the podcast to talk all about her life as a Digital Project Manager, and how her skills and training can be applied to creative producers of all stripes.
