The updated commitment affirms the previous 2014 “memo of understanding” and includes telematics data.The Alliance for Automotive Innovation, the Automotive Service Association and the Society of Collision Repair Specialists said the deal means that repair shops will have access to the same diagnostic and repair information as authorized dealer networks, and covers all vehicle technologies, including BEV, PHEV and FCV.There are currently 2 bills in Congress that consider right-to-repair.The REPAIR Act (Right to Equitable and Professional Auto Industry Repair) would mandate that owners and independent shops have the same access to tools and data as the dealer network, and those tools and equipment be made available to the independent repair industry.The SMART Act (Save Money on Auto Repair Transport) would reduce the time automakers can enforce patents on collision repair parts against aftermarket parts suppliers from 14 yrs to 2.5 yrs.The 3 groups sent a letter to Congressional leaders saying that “It should reassure you that independent repairers and automakers are not at odds on automotive data access, but rather in lockstep on this fundamental principle: Consumers should have choice when it comes to repair options.”As EV adoption continues its slow growth, Rivian is using a familiar tactic to get their trucks in front of consumers, opening its first “Spaces” showroom in Vancouver.The “dealership” will be located at The Amazing Brentwood shopping mall and is part of Rivian's goal of increasing its physical retail presence.Each Space is designed behind a casual experience with no hard selling.The automaker plans to have Spaces in downtown NYC, Austin TX, Laguna Beach CA and the Vancouver location.All Spaces will be unique, some featuring green areas, augmented reality, or being built out of an old theater.In the next year, Rivian is expected to announce the R2 series, consisting of a crossover and a Ford Maverick-sized pickup. 「「鹿島残留の方が…」上田綺世の“トップ下”起用再び。完敗で戦術批判も」　　サークル・ブルッヘ所属の日本代表FW上田綺世（23）は7日、ジュピラー・プロ・リーグ（ベルギー1部）第3節・スタンダール・リエージュ戦で途中出場。起用法で議論が飛び交う中、見せ場を作ることができなかった。　上田綺世は先月1日、明治安田生命J1リーグの鹿島アントラーズからサークル・ブルッヘへ完全移籍。9日の練習試合・OGCニース戦でデビューすると、16日の練習試合・FCVデンデル（ベルギー3部）戦では移籍後初ゴールをあげていた。　しかし先月24日のジュピラー・プロ・リーグ開幕節・ウェステルロー戦では、本職ではないトップ下で先発出場。30日の第2節・アンデルレヒト戦でも、トーゴ代表FWケビン・デンキー（21）の途中出場したタイミングで前線1トップからトップ下へポジションを変更。ツイッターでは「トップ下上田綺世は理解できない」、「便利屋になってしまう…」、「そのうちサイドハーフやらされるのでは…」という声が上がっていた。　そんな上田綺世はスタンダール戦で今季初めてベンチスタートに。0-2で迎えた後半キックオフから左サイドハーフのMFオリヴィエ・デマン（22）にかわって途中出場した。しかし、味方選手がロングフィードを多用。トップ下の同選手はほとんどボールに触れることがなかった。　これには、サークル・ブルッヘの戦術を批判する意見が噴出しているほか、一部の鹿島アントラーズサポーターからは「チーム選び失敗した感じがすごい…」、「鹿島に残った方が良かったのでは…」という声も上がっている。FIFAワールドカップ・カタール大会の日本代表メンバー入りを目指しているだけに、上田綺世の今後が心配される。

Es gab legendäre EC-Spiele gegen Wolverhampton, Benfica und Feyenoord. Auch nach dem Umzug nach Frankfurt (Oder) gab es zwar besondere Europapokalspiele im Stadion der Freundschaft, doch auch diese konnten über den Abwärtstrend nicht aufhalten. In der letzten DDR-Oberliga-Saison blieb nur der Platz am Tabellenende und damit der Abschied vom bezahlten Fußball. Im Jahr 2022 also 51 Jahre nach der Gründung des FC Vorwärts Frankfurt konnten die Nachfolger die Meisterschaft in der sechstklassigen Brandenburgliga und somit die Rückkehr in die NOFV Oberliga Nord feiern. Da passt es perfekt, dass im Culturcon-Verlag die passende Fußballfibel erschienen ist. These advances have a potential to improve our understanding of the complex,context-specific impacts of climatic and environmental events. Several data-driven approaches to analyse the interlinked climate and environmental change and security risks are currently being developed. 　ミシュランとシンビオというふたつのフランス企業が、エナジー大手のトタルに続き『ミッションH24』の新たなパートナーとなったことが発表された。　ミッションH24はル・マン24時間レースを主催するACOフランス西部自動車クラブと、水素燃料電池車開発ベンチャーのグリーンGTによる共同プロジェクト。同プロジェクトでは“H24レーシング”が立ち上げられ、2024年のル・マン24時間レースで、燃料電池車クラスによるレースが実施することを目標にFCVレースカーの研究・開発が行われている。

USIP and the World Bank Group examined international efforts to respond to the first- and second-order impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in fragile states. Panelists drew lessons from other recent outbreaks to consider what works in tackling pandemics on the ground in FCV settings, as well as how actors can work together to ensure responses to the COVID-19 crisis do not exacerbate existing drivers of fragility. Additionally, the panel examined how to manage long-term social and economic consequences, including how the COVID-19 response can help lay the foundation for strengthened governance and more effective institutions. By 2030, it is estimated that up to two-thirds of the world’s extreme poor will live in countries characterized by fragility, conflict, and violence. The global fragility landscape has worsened significantly: There are now more violent conflicts globally than at any time in the past 30 years, and the world is also facing the largest forced displacement crisis ever recorded. As these numbers increase, addressing them becomes even more mission-critical for the World Bank Group, which has been supporting development efforts in such settings countries since its origin in the post-conflict reconstruction of Europe after World War II. In this episode of the podcast, we have Franck Bousquet, the World Bank’s Senior Director for Fragility, Conflict and Violence, a position he has held since July 2017. As Senior Director, Franck mobilizes expertise and supports operational teams across the Bank in close collaboration with humanitarian-development-peace partners. He’s also led the development of the World Bank Group’s first Strategy for Fragility, Conflict and Violence or FCV. We talk about the ICRC’s engagement with the Bank, the recently released strategy, and the factors that can increase vulnerability to shocks and crises. 今回と次回は、車と車社会の未来について考察してみたい。 　車が利用されはじめて、既に200年以上が経過した。元々は、1885年にダイムラーやベンツがガソリン式自動車を発明したことに遡る。その後、1908年にはフォードがT型モデルを発売した。このT型フォードは、ライン生産方式をはじめて採用し、大量生産（ライン生産方式）によって低コスト化を実現したことで知られる。 　1970年代には、モータリゼーションによって人々の生活や都市の構造までもが大きく変化し、現在に至っている。自動車の未来を考えるうえで、交通渋滞、都市構造のスプロール化（無秩序な拡大）、大気汚染、エネルギー問題などを切り離して考えることはできない。 　まず、「車の未来」について。未来のクルマを考えるうえで、最も関心が高いのが、燃料（エネルギー）の問題だ。現在のトレンドとしては、ガソリンやディーゼルエンジンのダウンサイジングによる低燃費化（欧州車に多い）、ハイブリッド（HVやPHV）、電気自動車（EV）、そしてこれから市場投入が始まる燃料電池自動車（FCV）だ。 　特に、HVの普及は著しい。トヨタは、2013年に128万台のHVを販売した。累計販売台数が600万台に達するという。しかし、このHVは電気の力を借りるものの、エンジンを積んでいるため「化石燃料」に依存する構造は変わらない。従って、メーカー側は、未来の車社会（化石燃料フリー）への「つなぎ」と位置づけている。 　では、EVはどうか？最近、日産のリーフの累計販売台数が10万台を越えたとの報道があった。また、カリフォルニアのベンチャー企業テスラ・モーターズが販売するEVは、2013年だけでも22,500台、2014年は35,000台の販売を見込んでいる。実際に、最近アメリカに出張すると、大都市の繁華街に設置されたテスラのショールームが目を引く。 　ただ、EVのボトルネックは「航続距離」と言われている。日産のリーフは公称228kmだが、夏場のエアコン利用などで大きく電気が消費されてしまうという問題を抱えている。一方で、リチウムイオン・バッテリーなどの高性能化には取り組まれているものの、飛躍的な伸びが見込まれるわけではない。 　では、車の大気汚染への影響に目を転じてみるとどうか。WtW（ウェル・トゥ・ホイール）という燃料採掘〜車の燃料消費までのCO2排出量は、ガソリン車を１とすると、HVで0.6程度だが、実はEVも現在の電源構成下では0.6程度、HVと変わらないのだ。 　いずれ、化石燃料に依存できなくなる時代に向けて、代替燃料としての有力候補のひとつが「水素」だ。水素を車のボンベに充填し、車に搭載した「燃料電池」を用いて電気を作りながら走るFCVが、いよいよ2015年から市場投入される。 　FCVのCO2排出量は、さきほどのWtWだと、ガソリン車１、HV0.6に対して、0.4~0.3程度と試算されている。水素は、天然ガスなどの化石燃料からも製造されるが、他にもプラントの副生水素が大量に存在している。将来的には、下水汚泥（バイオマス）からの生成など、環境にやさしいクリーンなエネルギーとして期待されており、未来の車もそれを利用することで環境負荷の低減に貢献できる。また、FCVへの水素充填は約3分で済み、EVが高速充電でも30分を要するのに比べると、大幅に短い。また、FCVは航続距離が500~800kmもある。従って、将来は近距離の都市内交通はEV、長距離移動はFCVといった住み分けもできるだろう。 　FCVの当面のボトルネックは２つ。(1)車両価格の低下（来年の発売価格は500~1000万円と予想）と、(2)水素ステーションの整備だ。 今日のまとめ： 200年間の自動車の発達は、人々のライフスタイルや都市構造にまで大きな影響を及ぼした。今後の化石燃料の枯渇や環境への負荷低減の観点から、よりクリーンな燃料電池自動車（FCV）の開発が進んでおり、2015年から市場投入が始まる。

Die Ätiologie der chronischen Gingivostomatitis bei der Katze konnte bislang nicht vollständig geklärt werden, obwohl dieses Krankheitsbild häufig in der Kleintierpraxis auftritt. Die Ätiologie scheint multifaktoriell zu sein, und verschiedenen Infektionserregern wird eine Bedeutung zugeschrieben. Ziel dieser Studie war es, die Prävalenz von felinen Caliciviren (FCV), felinen Herpesviren (FHV), felinen Immunschwächeviren (FIV), felinen Leukämieviren (FeLV) sowie Bartonella henselae bei Katzen mit chronischer Gingivostomatitis und bei gesunden, altersgematchten Kontrolltieren zu untersuchen. Zusätzlich wurden weitere Faktoren, wie zum Beispiel Umweltfaktoren, untersucht. Bei 52 Katzen mit chronischer Gingivostomatitis und 50 altersgematchten gesunden Kontrolltieren wurde die Prävalenz von FCV (RNA) und FHV (DNA) mittels Polymerase-Kettenreaktion (PCR) aus Maulhöhlentupfern und die Prävalenz von Bartonella henselae (DNA) mittels PCR aus Maulhöhlentupfern und Blut bestimmt. Zudem wurde das Vorhandensein von Antikörpern gegen FCV, Bartonella henselae und FIV, sowie FeLV-Antigen im Serum untersucht. FCV-RNA wurde signifikant häufiger bei Katzen mit chronischer Gingivostomatitis nachgewiesen (53,8 %, p 

Ziel dieser Arbeit war es, die Prävalenz des felinen Herpesvirus-1 (FHV-1), des felinen Calicivirus (FCV), von Chlamydophila felis (C. felis) und von Bordetella bronchiseptica (B. bronchiseptica) in Mehrkatzenhaushalten (>= 5 Katzen) zu bestimmen. Es sollten Faktoren untersucht werden, die Einfluss auf die Prävalenz der Erreger haben. Zudem wurden Mehrkatzenhaushalte in denen Katzenschnupfen auftrat mit „gesunden“ Beständen verglichen und die Faktoren ermittelt, in denen sich die Bestände unterschieden. Der Nachweis von FHV-1, FCV und C. felis erfolgte mittels multiplex real-time Polymerase-Kettenreaktion (PCR). Zur Ermittlung der B.-bronchispetica-Prävalenz wurde ein Antikörpernachweis mittels enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) durchgeführt. Die Prävalenz in Beständen mit respiratorischen Problemen lag für FHV-1 bei 18,3 %, für FCV bei 57,6 % und für C. felis bei 8,2 %. In Beständen ohne respiratorische Probleme lag die Prävalenz für FHV-1 bei 11,6 %, für FCV bei 49,3 % und für C. felis bei 2,9 %. Keiner der drei Erreger trat signifikant häufiger in Beständen auf, in denen Katzenschnupfen vorkam. Die Antikörperprävalenz von B. bronchiseptica war in Beständen mit und ohne respiratorische Probleme ähnlich hoch (39,0 % bzw. 44,4 %). Die Einflussfaktoren wurden mittels multivariabler logistischer Regression untersucht. Faktoren, die einen signifikanten Einfluss auf den Nachweis des FHV-1 hatten, waren die Hygiene im Bestand sowie der Kontakt mit Hunden. Einen statistisch signifikanten Einfluss auf die FCV-Prävalenz hatten der Hygienestatus und die Anzahl der Katzen im Bestand. Auf die C.-felis-Prävalenz hatten die Hygiene und die Rasse der Katzen einen signifikanten Einfluss. Die B.-bronchiseptica-Antikörperprävalenz wurde vom Alter der Katzen und dem Bestandstyp signifikant beeinflusst. Beim Vergleich der Kontroll- und der Fallgruppe unterschieden sich nur der Anteil an männlichen Katzen und die Prävalenz von C. felis im Bestand signifikant. Zusammenfassend ist zu sagen, dass die Erreger des Katzenschnupfens, einschließlich B. bronchiseptica, trotz Impfprophylaxe weit verbreitetet sind. Von allen untersuchten Einflussfaktoren hat der Hygienestatus den größten Einfluss auf die Erregerprävalenz.

Caliciviren sind kleine, unbehüllte Viren mit einem RNA-Genom positiver Polarität. Die Vertreter der Familie Caliciviridae sind Erreger wichtiger, zum Teil sehr unterschiedlicher Erkrankungen bei Mensch und Tier. Das Feline Calicivirus (FCV) gilt als einer der Haupterreger des Katzenschnupfenkomplexes. Das FCV ist für Replikationsstudien an Caliciviren besonders gut geeignet, da es sich effizient in Zellkultursystemen vermehrt. Da der Replikationszyklus nur zum Teil aufgeklärt ist, wurden in der vorliegenden Arbeit zwei Nichtstrukturproteine des FCV, das Vpg und die RNA-abhängige RNA-Polymerase (3D-Polymerase), näher charakterisiert. Die 3D-Polymerase ist für die Replikation der viralen RNA zuständig. Das Vpg ist ein viruskodiertes Protein, welches kovalent an den 5'-Terminus der genomischen und subgenomischen RNA gebunden ist. Gegen beide Proteine wurden zunächst erfolgreich polyklonale Antikörper generiert. Untersuchungen zur Expressionskinetik ergaben, dass die 3D-Polymerase in einer frühen Phase des Replikationszyklus exprimiert wird. Sie tritt auch beim FCV-Isolat KS20 nur in Verbindung mit der 3C-Protease als sogenanntes 3CD-Vorläuferprotein auf, freie Polymerase ist nicht nachweisbar. Im Gegensatz zur 3D-Polymerase liegt das Vpg-Protein in einer späteren Phase des Replikationszyklus des FCV in freier Form vor. Es wurden für das FCV-Isolat KS20 zwei mögliche Vorläuferproteine von etwa 43 bis 45 kDa und von 25 kDa detektiert, deren Funktion unklar ist. Die 3D-Polymerase und das Vpg wurden nur im Zytopasma der Wirtszelle lokalisiert. Beide induzieren keine neutralisierenden Antikörper. Ferner beschäftigte sich diese Arbei mit der Hypothese, dass das Vpg bei der Transkription der viralen RNA eine Rolle spielt und möglicherweise als Primer für die 3D-Polymerase dient. Zum anderen wurde untersucht, ob das Vpg an der Enkapsidierung der genomischen und subgenomischen RNA in die viralen Partikel beteiligt ist. Zum Nachweis potentieller Wechselwirkungen zwischen den einzelnen Proteinen wurde eine Co-Immunopräzipitation durchgeführt. Bei keinem der untersuchten Proteinpaare konnte eine Interaktion festgestellt werden.
