Lozano returns to face his former club for the first time, bringing plenty of emotion to a match the Galaxy desperately need. But after three consecutive games with a red card, Greg Vanney says his team must control that emotion, keep 11 players on the field, and finally turn its revamped roster into points.  And reinforcements are arriving. Sergi Roberto is ready to play. The former Barcelona captain explains why he chose Los Angeles, the role Riqui Puig played in bringing him to the Galaxy, and his desire to help push the club into the playoffs. Vanney believes Roberto can become the on-field organizer the Galaxy have been missing — a player capable of controlling the midfield and raising the team's ceiling. There could also be one more roster move coming before Wednesday's transfer deadline, while the Galaxy continue to evaluate their remaining U22 Initiative opportunity or other needed positions. But everything eventually comes back to Saturday night. A win could vault the Galaxy right back into the crowded Western Conference playoff race. A loss would make the climb significantly harder. With Lozano walking into a hostile Snapdragon Stadium, Roberto ready to enter the midfield, and the pressure building around Vanney, this feels like one of those games that could define what comes next.  Is this finally the night the reloaded Galaxy become the team everyone thinks they can be?

A 2-2 draw with CF Montreal featured Ruben Ramos Jr.'s first MLS goal, an outrageous backheel from Maya Yoshida and several encouraging performances. But JT Marcinkowski's second-half red card changed the match and continued an alarming trend: the Galaxy have now been shown a red card in three consecutive games and have six this season, tied for the MLS lead.  Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter break down the discipline problems that continue to cost the Galaxy valuable points — a particularly painful problem with the club sitting just outside the Western Conference playoff positions.  But there are reasons for optimism. Sergi Roberto is finally in Los Angeles and could be available this weekend, while João Klauss may also be nearing his return. Add them to Lozano, Kyogo, Paintsil and an improving group of young players, and Greg Vanney suddenly has options he hasn't had for much of the season.  And then there's Chucky Lozano. After three appearances with the Galaxy, the flashes are there — and the podcast explains why there's little concern about the lack of goals so far. More importantly, everything Josh has seen around the team suggests Lozano has fit into the locker room extremely well.  Now comes the game everyone has been waiting for: Lozano returns to San Diego to face his former club. Can the Galaxy keep 11 players on the field, unleash their increasingly dangerous attack, and turn a highly emotional night at Snapdragon Stadium into three desperately needed points?

Matt Rosenberg will take over writing duties on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #25, after Gene Luen Yang and Fero Pe wrap up their current “City That Never Dies” storyline. Rosenberg is on a hot streak, writing both Spawn and King Spawn, as well as If Destruction Be Our Lot. Not to forget the eagerly anticipated cinematic adaptation of 4 Kids Walk Into a Bank hitting screens next year. He's the third writer to tackle the monthly Ninja Turtle series in three years, and he promises to bring a unique perspective to our favorite mutant brothers. First, his Turtles are going to war, and it's going to take them down nearly every New York City street. Streets Rosenberg knows exceptionally well as someone raised on them. Secondly, Rosenberg is a diehard Turtle fanatic, and he's been plotting possibilities for these characters since he was twelve or so. This interview is with Aaron Kirschnick of Galaxy Wine Company. In this interview, Aaron discusses his work selling wine in almost every medium and the story that inspired his Pinot Noir Rosé, Mano Coronuto Wine.Aaron talks about starting out in restaurants on the culinary side where he started learning about wine. When the hours were not sustainable, Aaron decided to pursue his interest in wine, starting out at a wine importing company. After a serious health scare, Aaron felt he needed a change but wanted to stay in wine. Aaron transitioned into sales and has worked in almost every aspect of wine sales including retail, wholesale, and direct to consumer, eventually landing at Galaxy. Aaron plans to stay at Galaxy until he potentially goes off on his own, pursing his personal wine dreams.Aaron discusses the story behind creating his own wine in the hopes of helping other people. In May of 2025, Aaron was diagnosed with throat cancer. During his time at the hospital receiving treatment, he watched his fellow patients struggle with the financial burden of chemotherapy, and wanted to help. Thus, Aaron created Mano Cornuto Wines that raises money for the Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation. When Aaron was too sick to produce the wine, the industry stepped in and produced 3 barrels of wine for his cause the first year. Now that Aaron is cancer-free, he plans to be more hands-on as the project continues. Later in the interview, Aaron talks about the future of the Oregon wine industry. Aaron believes that people with passion and a story sell wine and those stories won't go away. Aaron is optimistic for Oregon wine and thinks there is still room for growth. Just one day after confirming Lozano's arrival, the Galaxy surprised nearly everyone by adding former Barcelona captain Sergi Roberto, giving Greg Vanney another experienced piece as the club attempts to rescue its 2026 season. On this episode of Corner of the Galaxy: From the Box, Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter break down both signings, why the Galaxy believe their veteran locker room could be the right environment for Lozano, and why Roberto may ultimately become one of the most important additions of the summer. And the Galaxy may not be done. The club still has a U22 Initiative slot available, needs to solve its international roster-slot crunch and could make additional moves before the window closes. Meanwhile, 16-year-old Galaxy prospect Vinny Garcia is reportedly nearing a roughly $3 million move to Chelsea, providing another example of the club turning its academy talent into significant transfer revenue. All of this comes with the Galaxy sitting outside the playoff positions and desperately needing more offense. Lozano could get his first opportunity Saturday against the Houston Dynamo, with Josh saying he wouldn't be surprised to see the Mexican star immediately enter the starting lineup. On this episode, Josh Guesman and Eric Vieira dig into the details behind the expected deal and why the Galaxy believe Lozano is the right player despite the questions surrounding his departure from San Diego FC. According to reporting discussed on the show, the Galaxy began looking seriously at Lozano as far back as January, when he was considered a potential solution following Riqui Puig's injury. The club has since spent months vetting Lozano, talking to people around him and evaluating whether the problems in San Diego were something that could follow him to Los Angeles. The Galaxy believe they've done that homework—and believe they're getting their guy. The expected deal would bring Lozano to Los Angeles on a short-term loan as a Designated Player, with San Diego paying the majority of his salary and the Galaxy taking on less than half. That gives LA several months to determine whether Lozano can rediscover his best form before potentially making the move permanent. Josh and Eric examine why the risk is smaller than it first appeared, how Lozano could fill the creative void left by Puig and Pec, and why the Galaxy believe their veteran locker room can provide the environment he needs to succeed. The show also discusses the possible departure of Miki Yamane, the need for another international roster slot, Harbor Miller's future at right back and the additional moves the Galaxy could still make before the transfer window closes. Every comic book reader remembers the first time they encountered Bill Sienkiewicz. This week we return from San Diego Comic-Con International, and we've brought Bill Sienkiewicz with us. The convention premiered the trailer for his new documentary, That Polish Guy, directed by Remsy Atassi and produced by Sal Abbinanti. We were granted a sneak peek at an early edit, and it's jammed with creators expressing their admiration for Sienkiewicz. Sienkiewicz exploded on the scene and has continued to evolve his style to this very day.
