In our last episode, we were introduced to Ezra, a scribe in exile who had been trained in the law of Moses and who had “determined in his heart to study the law of the Lord, obey it, and teach it's statutes and ordinances in Israel.” King Artaxerxes has expressly commanded Ezra to do just that. After we review some of the family heads who accompanied Ezra for the journey back to Jerusalem, we discover that even the leaders of those who had returned from exile had disobeyed the commands of the Lord by marrying foreign women. This was forbidden under the law of Moses, and can be cited as one of the reasons Israel abandoned the Lord and pursued other gods. Jeremiah closes with the tragic fall of Jerusalem. The city is burned, the temple is destroyed, King Zedekiah is blinded, and God's people are carried into exile. It is a devastating picture of a king and kingdom brought low. But our reading does not end in the ruins. Revelation opens with John's vision of Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the first to rise from the dead, and the ruler of all the kings of the world. This King has eyes like flames of fire, feet like polished bronze, and a voice like mighty ocean waves. Today's devotion reminds us that Christ enters the ruins of our lives, gathers the exiles, and leads us home. The story does not end in captivity, fear, or defeat. Because of Jesus, it will end with a song of deliverance, freedom, joy, and love. TODAY'S DEVOTION: It will end with a song. Today, for the first time this year, we finished a book of the Bible. And Jeremiah ends with a song of exile and judgment. We read of a king and a kingdom brought low. Zedekiah is blinded. Jerusalem is reduced to rubble. The temple is burned, and the people are sent away from their home. But the story does not end in ruin. From the ruins of Jeremiah, we move into John's vision in Revelation. And in that vision, we see hope rising from the ashes. Someone like the Son of Man emerges. He is a King far greater than Zedekiah. His eyes are like flames of fire. A gold sash crosses his chest. His feet are like polished bronze refined in a furnace, and his voice is as mighty as ocean waves. This is our King. This is Jesus. And this King gathers all the exiles. He gathers the broken, the fearful, the defeated, and those who have known captivity in body, soul, or spirit. He seeks out those who have been crushed beneath the weight of ruins, those who have been scattered and long to find their way home. To every exile, he offers a new kingdom and a new song. It is not a song of despair, but a song of deliverance and hope. The psalmist gives us the words: "May there be no enemy breaking through our walls, no going into captivity, no cries of alarm in our town squares. Yes, joyful are those who live like this! Joyful indeed are those whose God is the Lord." This is not simply the ending of today's Scripture reading. It is the ending of our story too. Our lives, no matter how marked by ruin or exile, will end with a song that leads us forward into eternal life. Our King has come, and there is none like him. So let this song, the song of his love and freedom, take root in your heart. Grow more convinced and more devoted to its message. His love sets us free. And this love is not only for us. It is for the world. For God so loved the world. Whatever ruins you see today, do not mistake them for the end of the story. Whatever exile you are experiencing, do not believe that you have been forgotten. The risen King is gathering his people. He walks among us. His voice is like mighty waters, and his word to the frightened and fallen is still the same: "Don't be afraid." The story will end with a song. That's the prayer I have for my own soul today. That's the prayer I have for my family, for my wife, my daughters, and my son. And that's the prayer I have for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose  through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen.   Oh God you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after you, and find you. This is Guthrie Chamberlain and today is Day 2936 – Theology Thursday – Christ Consciousness and the Return of the Ancient Lie Wisdom-Trek Podcast Script - Day 2936 Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps!   I am Guthrie Chamberlain, and we are on Day 2936 of our Trek.   The Purpose of Wisdom-Trek is to create a legacy of wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, and to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Our current series of Theology Thursday lessons is written by theologian and teacher John Daniels. I have found that his lessons are short, easy to understand, doctrinally sound, and applicable to all who desire to learn more of God's Word. John's lessons are available on his website, theologyinfive.com.  Christ Consciousness and the Return of the Ancient Lie. The idea of “Christ consciousness” is often presented as a spiritual breakthrough where a person awakens to inner divinity. Jesus becomes a model of human potential rather than the incarnate Son of God. The appeal is obvious. It promises transcendence without repentance and enlightenment without submission. Yet behind the modern packaging stands a very old pattern. “Christ consciousness” is not a rediscovery of the teachings of Jesus. It is the rebirth of the ancient lie that humanity can ascend to divine status apart from Yahweh. From Eden to the pagan world, from the rebel watchers to the Gnostics, the same message has returned again and again. Its modern form is simply more polished and more deceptive. The first segment is: The Ancient Pagan Vision of Human Divinity. The idea that divine potential lies within the human soul is older than recorded history. Civilizations across the ancient world built their religions around the belief that humans could rise into the realm of the gods. In Egypt, initiation rituals promised access to hidden spiritual knowledge and the ability to traverse the worlds of the divine. The individual was told that the right rites and secrets could transform a mortal into a being of power. Early Greek philosophical schools detached the idea from ritual and reimagined it as an ascent of the mind. Through disciplined introspection, the soul could free itself from material limits and participate in the divine. In Mesopotamia, kings claimed divine sonship and presented themselves as intermediaries between heaven and earth. Their authority rested on the belief that humans could cross the boundary into divine identity. These systems differed, but they rested on a shared conviction. Divinity is within reach if one knows how to unlock it. “Christ consciousness” is simply the modern restatement of this worldview. It presents divinity as latent within each person, waiting to be awakened. In the ancient world, this was a spiritual pursuit. Today it is wrapped in therapeutic language. The underlying theology has not changed. The second segment is: The Deeper Pattern Beneath the Pagan Systems. Behind the rituals and philosophies of the ancient world lies a darker thread. Scripture describes a world after Eden where spiritual beings known as the watchers crossed boundaries Yahweh had set. They offered humanity knowledge not meant for them. The result was not enlightenment. It was corruption. Ancient traditions remembered these figures as culture bringers, sages, or divine intermediaries. Scripture describes them as rebels who distorted God's order and magnified human pride. The apkallu of Mesopotamian legend mirror this pattern. Their stories present them as semi-divine beings who brought advanced knowledge to humanity before the flood. Yet in the biblical worldview, this kind of ascent was always a counterfeit that led people away from the Creator. It encouraged humanity to seek elevation on terms that were forbidden. Modern spirituality celebrates the same impulse. “Christ consciousness” bypasses the Creator and promises transcendence through self-awareness. It is not accidental that this mirrors the oldest form of rebellion in the biblical story. It is the same attempt to seize divinity without God's blessing. The third segment is: Gnosticism and the Misuse of Jesus. Gnosticism took the ancient pagan vision of self-divinization and grafted it onto Christian language. It preserved the idea that salvation comes through unlocking hidden spiritual knowledge and added a new twist. Jesus became the revealer of this knowledge. He was not Yahweh in the flesh. He was not the crucified and risen Lord. He was a spiritual messenger who showed people the path to awakening their inner light. This allowed the Gnostics to attach their worldview to the authority of Jesus while stripping Him of everything that defines Him. The incarnation became unnecessary. The cross was reimagined. The resurrection was denied. Christ became a symbol for human potential rather than the Savior who restores humanity to God. “Christ consciousness” uses the exact same strategy. It employs the vocabulary of Jesus to promote a belief system that contradicts His identity and mission. This is not honoring Christ. It is exploiting His name to legitimize a worldview He explicitly rejected. The fourth segment is: The Biblical Vision of Humanity's True Calling. The tragedy of this deception is that it offers a counterfeit path to the very thing God already promises His people. Scripture declares that humanity was created to bear God's image and rule His creation under His authority. That vocation was not lost forever. It is restored in Christ. Jesus promises that those who belong to Him will reign with Him on the New Earth. Our resurrection bodies will be marked by glory and immortality. The destiny of redeemed humanity is not to awaken inner divinity but to receive resurrection life directly from the risen Christ. This is not a metaphor. It is the fulfillment of the plan Yahweh declared to Abraham. His family would shine like the stars and serve as His representatives forever. Every attempt to bypass the Creator and manufacture spiritual ascent is a pale imitation of this promise. Human beings cannot awaken what they do not possess. Only Christ can raise them into the glory intended from the beginning. The fifth segment is: The True Meaning of the Holy Ones. Modern spirituality treats “saint” as a moral compliment. Scripture treats it as a status. The New Testament uses the Greek word that translates the Old Testament term for the “holy ones,” the loyal members of Yahweh's divine council. Believers are given this title because they have been brought into that household by the work of Christ. This is not divinization through self-discovery. It is adoption through redemption. It is a restored identity, not a spiritual technique. Believers do not become gods. They become members of God's family, sharing in His mission and representing His rule. This is something no pagan system can produce. The sixth segment is: Judging Angels and the Restoration of Authority. Paul goes even further when he says that believers will judge angels. This statement reveals how far God intends to restore humanity. Those who are redeemed in Christ will participate in the judgment of the rebellious spiritual beings who misled the nations. This is the opposite of the path offered by pagan spirituality. Where the ancient world sought to submit to spiritual intermediaries for enlightenment, the redeemed will one day stand in judgment over them. No version of “Christ consciousness” can rival this. It promises temporary feelings of transcendence. Christ promises participation in the final victory that restores creation. In Conclusion. “Christ consciousness” is not an elevated understanding of Jesus. It is the revival of an ancient deception that has taken many forms across history. It repeats the pagan claim that divinity lies within. It mirrors the corruption introduced by the watchers. It copies the Gnostic strategy of using Jesus to promote a message He never taught. The Gospel is not a call to look inward for divine potential. It is a call to the One who is divine. Through Him, humanity receives life, resurrection, restored vocation, membership among the holy ones, and authority in the world to come. The New Age offers a shadow. Christ offers the reality. Unequivocally, I can say that God is looking for us to say “yes” to Him. Have you given God your yes? Have you surrendered your will and your life to God? Have you said “God, I'm yours. Take my life and use it for your glory?” Have you said, “God, I'll say what you want me to say, go where you want me to go, and do what you want me to do?”Main Points:1. Some of our greatest internal battles are with God. There is an internal wrestling over whether we will say yes to God or not. Will we obey His Word? Will we submit to God's authority? Will we let the Bible guide and direct our lives?2. This simple response, "Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening," is a profound declaration of openness and obedience to God's will. We see Samuel's readiness to hear and obey whatever God may command. And it is through this willingness to say yes to God that Samuel's life is forever changed.3. Sometimes exhaustion goes so deep that even turning to God feels like more than the body and spirit can manage. Not a crisis of faith, not a decision to walk away — just a weariness so complete that the simplest prayer becomes a reach too far. Those moments carry a particular kind of shame for believers who expected their faith to hold up better under pressure, who pictured leaning on God looking a little more steady and a little less desperate. Psalm 9:10 speaks directly into that shame with a promise that does not require perfect faith to claim: the Lord has never forsaken those who seek Him. Those who know His name, who have placed their trust in Him, who have made it their practice to seek Him, will never be left alone. Not even in the moments when they are too broken to look His way. The years of seeking, knowing, and trusting God do not evaporate in a hard season. They become the foundation that holds even when the person standing on it has nothing left. God is not present because our faith looks impressive. He is present because He loves us, because we love Him, and because we belong to Him. The weak, barely-formed prayer, "Jesus, help me," is enough. And on the days when even that is beyond reach, He is still there. His presence is not contingent on our performance. Child of God, you are sealed with the promise of His presence, His salvation, and His grace, always, in every valley, whether you can feel it or not. He is not there because we showed up strong. He is there because we are His and He loves us — and that does not change based on how our faith performs in the hardest moments. "Jesus, help me" is a complete and sufficient prayer. When exhaustion strips away everything else, the weakest and most honest cry still reaches the One who hears. God does not require eloquence or emotional strength before He responds. The years of seeking God become the foundation that holds in the seasons when you have nothing left. A history of knowing His name, placing trust in Him, and practicing the discipline of turning toward Him does not disappear in a hard season. It carries you even when you cannot carry yourself. Feeling forsaken and being forsaken are not the same thing. Psalm 9:10 is a promise, not a feeling. God has never forsaken those who seek Him — not in their strongest moments, and not in their most depleted ones either. Rest in your weariness without shame. You do not have to pull your faith together before God will show up. He is already there, with His constant care, His continual protection, and His unending, unconditional love — even in the pit. A Prayer for You Today Ever-present God, I praise You that You never leave my side. Even when I struggle to sense Your presence in my deepest pain and suffering, You are there. Even when my faith feels far from perfect or I wonder if I am deserving of Your love and care, You are there. Because I am Yours and You are mine, You will never forsake me. I have chosen to seek You, to know You, and to place my trust in You. So no matter what circumstances surround me, I know You will follow me, love me, and forever bless me. The Bible never claims to be a science book. Though there are many things about our world we don't understand, it shouldn't diminish our faith. You set out to have more faith, not to practice witchcraft, so nothing about your prayer life ever felt like sorcery. You were quoting Scripture the whole time. You learned to declare the promise, stand on the Word, and pray until the breakthrough came. But somewhere in there your prayers quietly stopped being surrender and became leverage; you found the verse that guaranteed the outcome you already wanted and began aiming it at your finances, your marriage, your body, less like a child asking a Father and more like a technician working a system, and you never stopped to ask what He might want to change in you before He changed anything around you. I was on the phone with a friend the other day, crying over a broken promise. Someone I trusted deeply said they'd do something significant, and after many assurances, they didn't. So yeah. I cried. And my friend let me. She didn't rush me. She didn't fix me. She just held space. But here's the thing: I didn't stay there. A mutual friend, a previous client, had said something really powerful about me. And I thought, if he sees that in me, I'm not going to sit here and wallow. I got up and went to the gym. Feel your feelings. Then get up and grow. That's what I'm talking about in this week's episode. Listen to this week's episode and then do this: Write down the habits that are hard for you. Not the easy ones, those are already on autopilot. The hard ones. Put them on your fridge. Then, in 3 John, we meet two men who could hardly be more different. Diotrephes loves to be first. He uses his influence to control others, rejects correction, and spreads accusations. Demetrius, by contrast, is known for humility and truth. His life bears witness to the good news he carries. Today's devotion invites us to consider which path we are choosing. Pride turns life inward and makes everything about us. Truth turns our attention toward God and sets us free. May we become humble pilgrims like Demetrius, growing in truth, walking in love, and discovering the joy Christ gives. TODAY'S DEVOTION: Diotrephes and Demetrius could not be more different. Diotrephes was known for speaking lies. He loved being the leader and wanted everything to revolve around him. He rejected the authority of others, spread accusations, and used his position to exclude people who would not submit to his control. He loved to be first. Demetrius was different. He was a humble, traveling messenger who spoke the truth of the good news. His words brought freedom because that is what truth does. John says that everyone speaks highly of Demetrius, and so does the truth itself. That is an extraordinary description. Demetrius did not need to promote himself. He did not need to grasp for influence or force others to recognize his importance. His life and character bore witness to the truth he proclaimed. The truth will always point us away from ourselves and toward God. Pride makes everything about us. It asks how we can be noticed, admired, obeyed, or placed first. It becomes defensive when questioned and threatened when others are celebrated. But the truth revealed in Jesus leads us in another direction. Jesus does not grasp for power. He empties himself. He kneels. He serves. He gives himself away in love. This is the way of Demetrius, the way of the humble, truth-speaking pilgrim. John's words invite us to examine our own hearts. Are we becoming defensive and controlling like Diotrephes? Do we need to be recognized, praised, or placed first? Or are we willing to walk quietly in truth, trusting that God sees us and that the truth itself will bear witness? Truth does not need our pride to defend it. Truth sets us free. The good news directs our attention away from our small and anxious selves and toward the God who is love. It frees us from the exhausting need to prove ourselves. It gives us the joy of simply walking with Christ and bearing faithful witness to his life. So let us choose the way of Demetrius. Let us become humble, truth-speaking pilgrims, growing in the truth, being set free by the truth, and discovering the joy of God along the way. May God give us the heart of Demetrius. That's the prayer I have for my own soul. That's the prayer I have for my family, for my wife, my daughters, and my son. And that's the prayer I have for you. May it be so. Fear has a way of showing up when we least expect it. In First Light Ep. 47, Chuck talks about some recent moments that brought new fears into his life and forced him to look at fear, suffering, living, and hope a little differently. The more life we live, the more we realize they are often directly connected. Suffering can bring fear. Fear can make us question what comes next. But through it all, we are reminded that our hope was never meant to come from knowing what tomorrow holds. Our hope comes from knowing Who holds tomorrow. New fears will come. Hard days will come. There will be moments we do not understand and circumstances we would never choose for ourselves. But none of those things change who God is or what He has promised. Sometimes trusting the Lord is easy. Other times, it means choosing Him when we are scared, hurting, and unsure of what is ahead. It means believing His ways are greater than our understanding and continuing to walk with Him even when we cannot see where the road leads. Fear is part of living. Suffering is part of living. But because of the Lord, so is hope. "Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." Romans 5:3-4 (NIV)

Welcome to Day 2935 of Wisdom-Trek. Thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom. Day 2935 – Wisdom Nuggets – Proverbs 3:1-8 Daily Wisdom Wisdom-Trek Podcast Script - Day 2935 Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps! I am Guthrie Chamberlain, and we are on Day 2935 of our Trek. The Purpose of Wisdom-Trek is to create a legacy of wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, and to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. The title for today's Wisdom-Trek is: The Master Compass of the Heart – Trusting Yahweh and Healing the Soul On our previous episode, on Day Two Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty-Three, we reached the dramatic conclusion of Proverbs chapter two, where Solomon warned us against the seductive traps of broken covenants and the smooth, deceitful speech of temptation—a dark path that leads directly down to the chamber of the dead. We saw how those who walk with integrity remain firmly rooted in the land, while the treacherous are yanked away like noxious weeds. Today, as we step onto Day Two Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty-Five of our ongoing trek through God's Word, we cross into Proverbs chapter three, verses one through eight. This passage contains some of the most famous, beloved, and transformative instructions in all of Holy Scripture. Having spent over fifty years focusing on and studying Biblical wisdom, and having accumulated seventy years of life experiences—walking through seasons of mountain-top success, valley trials, and complex crossroads—I can tell you that these eight verses form the ultimate master compass for the human heart. They teach us how to align our personal choices with the sovereign order of the Almighty, unlocking health, peace, and divine direction for every single step of our journey. Let us open our minds and hearts to the first movement of this royal instruction, beginning in Proverbs chapter three, verses one and two. Here, Solomon issues an urgent, loving plea to his child, commanding them never to forget the foundational things he has taught, but rather to store those divine commands deep within the center of the heart. Solomon promises that when instruction is cherished in this personal way, it produces two remarkable outcomes: it adds many years to a person's life, and it brings a deep, satisfying peace. In Hebrew, this satisfying quality is expressed by the profound word shalom—meaning complete wholeness, emotional rest, and spiritual alignment. Over my seventy years of living, I have observed that a truly satisfying life is never an accident. It is the direct harvest of internalizing God's truth early and keeping His commands at the very center of our daily routines. Moving directly into Proverbs chapter three, verses three and four, Solomon expands on the essential character qualities needed for our trek, urging us never to let loyalty and kindness leave our side. He instructs us to tie these virtues around our neck like a royal necklace, and to write them permanently upon the tablet of our heart. The reward for doing so is immense: finding favor with both God and people, while earning a good, trustworthy reputation. In the original language, the terms translated as loyalty and kindness are chesed and emet—covenant love and steadfast truth! In the Ancient Israelite divine-council worldview, chesed and emet are not merely pleasant human traits; they are the supreme, defining attributes of Yahweh Himself, proclaimed before the heavenly hosts! When we wear loyalty and truth as our daily garments, we reflect the character of the supreme Ruler of the cosmos to a watching world. In my fifty years of studying wisdom, I have seen that individuals who embody unyielding loyalty and genuine kindness build a legacy of honor that outlasts any earthly monument. Now we arrive at what is arguably the most famous declaration of trust in all of the Scriptures, found in Proverbs chapter three, verses five and six. Solomon commands us to trust in the Lord with all our heart, while explicitly warning us never to depend on our own limited human understanding. In the original Hebrew text, the verb for "trust" is batoch—which vividly describes casting your entire weight upon something, leaning completely face-down without holding anything back in reserve! Solomon tells us to place the full weight of our lives, our families, our fears, and our futures squarely upon the shoulders of Yahweh. Simultaneously, Solomon commands us not to lean upon our own binah—our finite human intellect. In the ancient worldview, human perspective is localized, fragile, and easily blinded by immediate circumstances. But Yahweh, sitting enthroned above the celestial assembly, sees the entire terrain of eternity from beginning to end! When Solomon instructs us to seek His will in all we do—or literally, to know Him in all our ways—he promises that Yahweh Himself will clear our paths and make them straight! Over my seventy years of life, and in my business and personal endeavors, I have faced countless confusing forks in the road. Whenever I tried to rely strictly on my own cleverness, the trail became cluttered with anxiety and unforeseen obstacles. But whenever I surrendered my understanding to Yahweh, He cut through the tangled brush and made the path ahead crystal clear. Continuing into Proverbs chapter three, verse seven, Solomon delivers a direct strike against the root cause of human error: intellectual arrogance! He warns us never to be impressed with our own wisdom, but instead to maintain a profound fear of the Lord and intentionally turn away from evil. The moment we become enamored with our own sophistication, credentials, or past achievements, we blind ourselves to spiritual danger. Self-conceit is a subtle trap that leads straight to compromise! The true antidote is Yirat Yahweh—the reverent fear of the Lord. When we stand in awe of the supreme Creator, recognizing His holy authority above all earthly principalities, turning away from evil becomes the natural, instinctive response of our soul. Solomon concludes this opening section in Proverbs chapter three, verse eight, by revealing a staggering, holistic benefit of spiritual alignment: it brings vibrant healing to the body and marrow-deep strength to the bones! In the Hebrew tradition, the core of a person's physical health was closely linked to their moral and spiritual state. Modern medicine now confirms what biblical wisdom declared thousands of years ago: chronic pride, bitterness, rebellion, and self-reliance produce toxic internal stress that wears down the physical body. But when you yield your mind to God, trust Him completely, and walk in His fear, a divine, refreshing vitality flows through your nervous system, bringing health to your vital center and strength to the very marrow of your frame. As we bring these eight foundational verses together, we see a master blueprint for our daily trek. Solomon calls us to move away from self-sufficiency and step into absolute alignment with our Creator. We store His words, wear His covenant loyalty, trust His sovereign sight, reject self-conceit, and receive His physical and spiritual refreshment. Over fifty years of digging into these proverbs has taught me that this is not a one-time decision; it is a moment-by-moment lifestyle. Every morning when you wake up, you choose whether to lean on your own fragile understanding or to cast your full weight upon the unshakeable rock of Yahweh's promises. You know those homeschool conversations where someone asks, “What curriculum are you using?” Sometimes it is harmless. Sometimes she is just curious, looking for ideas, or trying to understand what is working for another family. But sometimes that question lands in a tender place. You hear what someone else is using, what level their child is in, what tutorial they joined, how fast they are moving, or how much that mother expects every day—and suddenly your own homeschool starts to look smaller in your mind. In this episode, I'm talking about the pressure that can rise when another family's path starts to feel like the ruler you should use to measure your own. I share a recent conversation with a mother in a very full season who was trying to make wise decisions for the actual children in her home, only to feel deeply criticized by someone whose family and season looked very different from hers. That kind of conversation can make a mother wonder whether she should push harder, add more, or copy a path that does not truly fit. And I want to be clear: structured curriculum, co-ops, tutorials, high expectations, and rigorous homeschooling can be wonderful gifts when they are serving a specific child and family well. This episode is not against structure, challenge, discipline, or asking children to do hard things. But your homeschool does not have to win a conversation. If comparison has been making you question a path that is truly serving your children, this episode will help you slow down, look honestly at what God has placed in front of you, and choose faithfulness over impressiveness. They married in 2023, blending their families and beginning a new chapter.Then, just over a year later, Missie's 14-year-old son, Mason, suffered a devastating brain injury after a golf cart accident on Easter Sunday. For the next week, Marty and Missie worshiped and prayed and believed God for a miraculous healing. The Holy Spirit is speaking to every believer in Jesus and He's asking the question, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” God wants to send every one of us into His Kingdom work. When we say “Here am I, Send me,” God will use our lives for His glory.Main Points:1. I've noticed over the years, that the thing that keeps many Christians from stepping out in faith and allowing God to use their lives is that they disqualify themselves. Some feel unusable because of their past, their failures, and their mistakes. Others think God is looking for people who are more spiritual or more gifted.2. Notice in the verse with Isaiah, there are no qualifications listed. God was looking for one thing: availability. The old saying is still true: God is not looking for ability. He is looking for availability. 3. God is still searching for men and women who will say yes. He's looking for individuals who are willing to be sent and to be used by the Holy Spirit.Today's Scripture Verses:Isaiah 6:8 - “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send?
