We begin exploring the third commandment and learn about rest and worship concerning the Lord's Day. The Catechism points out that God models what he wants for us as he also rested on the seventh day. Fr. Mike explains the importance of prioritizing rest for ourselves because we are free and no longer enslaved people. The Catechism describes how we are to keep the Lord's Day holy with “outward, visible, public, and regular worship ‘as a sign of his universal beneficence to all.'” Today's readings are Catechism paragraphs 2168-2176. This episode has been found to be in conformity with the Catechism by the Institute on the Catechism, under the Subcommittee on the Catechism, USCCB. In 1997, Iowa State University named its football stadium after the school’s first black athlete: Jack Trice. Tragically, Trice never even played in Ames, Iowa—he died from internal injuries sustained during a play in his second college game, played in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 6, 1923. Trice wrote a note to himself the night before, bearing witness to his determination: “The honor of my race, family, and self are at stake. Everyone is expecting me to do big things. I will! My whole body and soul are to be thrown recklessly about on the field tomorrow. Every time the ball is snapped, I will be trying to do more than my part.” Trice profoundly understood that what he did flowed from the honor and dignity of who he was, infusing his character with courage. The apostle Paul says something similar in Ephesians, challenging believers to let who they were in Christ influence every decision: “As a prisoner of the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received” (Ephesians 4:1). Paul challenges us to embrace a way of living shaped by Jesus’ work for us, in us, and through us, which yields humility, gentleness, patience, unity, love and peace (vv. 2-3) as we use our God-given gifts to serve one another (vv. 15-16).

After her parents' divorce, she sought approval in relationships and substances, not realizing she was really searching for the love of God.   When her marriage began to crumble, Kate discovered that her husband had become an idol in her life. In her brokenness, she surrendered fully to Jesus, and that is when everything changed. Today, Kate shares how God healed her heart, gave her a new identity in Him, and is teaching her to trust Him with her marriage.   Her testimony will encourage you to stop striving, release control, and trust the Lord with every part of your life. I am Guthrie Chamberlain, and we are on Day 2710 of our Trek. The Purpose of Wisdom-Trek is to create a legacy of wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, and to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Today, we reach the powerful conclusion of our conversation in Psalm 85, covering verses 8 through 13 in the New Living Translation. In our last trek, we explored the first half of this poignant communal lament. We heard the people's prayer for revival, anchored in God's past faithfulness: "You have restored the fortunes of Israel," and "You have forgiven the guilt of your people" (Psalm 85:1-3). Yet, their plea was urgent, asking God to "restore us again" and to "show us your unfailing love" (Psalm 85:4, 7). They were caught in the "in-between," that painful gap between the miracle of the return from exile and the full, glorious reality of true national revival. Now, the psalmist shifts from pleading to listening, confident that God will speak peace and provide the perfect vision for their complete restoration. This final section beautifully describes how God's saving presence will transform the land and the people, bringing a divine harmony where love and truth, justice and peace, meet and embrace. This vision of God's saving power is the glorious answer to their cry for restoration. So, let's open our hearts to this prophetic promise, recognizing the divine symmetry that only God can orchestrate. This first section it titled, The Promise of Peace and the Meeting of Virtues (Psalm 85:8-11) I listen carefully to what God the Lord is saying, for he speaks peace to his faithful people. But let them not return to foolish ways. Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, so our land will be filled with his glory. Unfailing love and truth have met together. Righteousness and peace have kissed! The psalmist makes a conscious, deliberate choice here to stop pleading and start listening: "I listen carefully to what God the Lord is saying, for he speaks peace to his faithful people." This is a pivotal moment in any lament! After pouring out our anxiety and our fears, the next step is to quiet our souls and incline our ear towards the divine. The psalmist expresses confidence that God will speak "peace" (shalom), which, in the Hebrew worldview, is not just the absence of conflict, but total well-being, harmony, and wholeness. This promise of shalom is conditional: "But let them not return to foolish ways." God's people must actively participate in their own revival. The restoration is offered, but they must choose to walk away from the spiritual "foolish ways" that led to their former suffering. The warning is clear: true peace requires sustained obedience and...

Fall leaves remind us how beauty and brevity often go hand in hand. As our daily prayer and devotional remind us, the brilliant colors of autumn are breathtaking, yet fleeting—lasting only a short season before they wither and fall. Whitney Hopler connects this truth to the gift of each day: time is temporary, and the opportunities God gives us only come once. Too often, we miss those gifts. We get caught up in stress, worry, or distractions, focusing on yesterday’s mistakes or tomorrow’s uncertainties. But Psalm 118:24 reminds us that God calls us to live fully in this day, to rejoice in the present moment because He made it and is with us in it. Rejoicing isn’t about ignoring pain or pretending life is easy. It’s about choosing joy because of God’s presence. Even when circumstances are difficult, His faithfulness gives us reason to be glad. Each day holds blessings—whether in laughter with loved ones, a sunset, or the simple joy of God’s peace. We can train our eyes to notice His goodness in the ordinary. Like fall leaves, today is precious because it won’t come again. When we choose to rejoice, we stop clinging to yesterday and worrying about tomorrow. We live fully, gratefully, and joyfully in the presence of God today. Today's Bible Reading "This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." – Psalm 118:24, ESV Key Takeaways Each day is a gift from God and an opportunity to rejoice in Him. Joy is not dependent on perfect circumstances but on God’s faithful presence. Living fully today means noticing and embracing everyday blessings. Choosing gladness builds a life rooted in gratitude and trust in God. Let’s Pray Together Dear God, thank You for making this day and giving it to me. Forgive me for the times I’ve let worry or busyness keep me from noticing Your blessings. Open my eyes to see Your goodness in the ordinary and teach me to rejoice, even when life is difficult. Help me to live fully in today, trusting in Your presence as my reason for joy. In Jesus’ name, Amen. In this Bible Story, we learn about the true meaning of kindness from the story of the good Samaritan. Jesus uses this story to teach that goodness does not always come from the perfect people, rather those that we may least expect. This story is inspired by Luke 10:25-37. Go to BibleinaYear.com and learn the Bible in a Year.Today's Bible verse is Luke 10:37 from the King James Version.Episode 201: On another day of walking and teaching a lawyer came up to Jesus asking about eternal life. Wanting to justify himself he responded to Jesus' answer by asking Him who counts as a neighbor. To illustrate His point, Jesus told the lawyer a story about an Israelite man who was robbed, beaten, and left for dead. Nobody who should have helped this man, actually helped him. Instead, a Samaritan, hated by the Jews, picked him up, bandaged his wounds, and brought him to an inn to be taken care of. The next question Jesus asks challenges both the lawyer and us to think about what it means to be a neighbor.Hear the Bible come to life as Pastor Jack Graham leads you through the official BibleinaYear.com podcast. Paul encourages Timothy to rekindle the spiritual gift God gave him and reminds him that the Spirit of God does not make believers timid but gives them power, love, and self-discipline. He urges Timothy not to be ashamed of the gospel or of Paul's suffering but to join in enduring hardship for the sake of Christ. Paul reminds him that God saved them by grace and called them to a holy life and to guard the standard of truth God has revealed. Paul expresses full confidence in Christ despite imprisonment, urging Timothy to guard the truth through the Holy Spirit who lives in them. This emotional letter from Paul to Timothy reminds us that our faith must be active and cultivated with intentional care. We have been entrusted with a sacred message, one that has the power to transform lives. We are not called to live in fear or hesitation, but in the strength, love, and discipline that God provides in His holy word. Our calling is not earned, but given by grace, and it must be exclaimed as we share the triumphant victory of Jesus Christ. We must be willing to endure hardship for the gospel's sake, standing firm in truth regardless of opposition. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we are equipped to remain faithful and to protect what God has placed within us, the treasure and pattern of truth.  Loving God, we come before You with gratitude for the faith You are developing within us. Teach us how to strengthen what is weak and stir anew the gifts You have entrusted to our care. Help us to walk not in fear, but in the power, love, and self-discipline that come from Your Spirit. Teach us to stand unashamed of the gospel and to endure hardship with grace. May we guard the truth faithfully, not in our strength but through the Holy Spirit who lives within us. May our lives reflect the calling and purpose You have set before us. Thought Questions: Paul had a special relationship with Timothy that uplifted him. Who, in your life, is your spiritual family and a great encouragement to you? What are some gifts God has given you for His service that could use some refreshing? How might it be time to become unashamed and bold? How has the gospel of the Lord Jesus changed your life? Is the gospel the treasure and only pattern for your life? How do you show that?

In this episode, we explore Doctrine and Covenants sections 115 through 120—some of the most defining revelations in the history of the early Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. These revelations, given in 1838, officially establish the divinely revealed name of the Church, emphasizing that it must bear the name of Jesus Christ to clearly identify whose Church it is. The Lord also directs the Saints to build up the sacred gathering place of Adam-ondi-Ahman in Missouri—a site tied to ancient prophecy and the future return of the Savior. Through these commands, the Saints are reminded that their work is not only about organizing a church but about preparing a people and a place for the coming of Christ. Sections 119 and 120 introduce the law of tithing, a principle that would bless both individual Saints and the Church collectively. This revelation set a divine pattern of sacrifice and stewardship, where the faithful contribute one-tenth of their increase to sustain the Lord's work on earth. These sections show how the Lord guides His people in both spiritual and temporal matters—establishing identity through His name, unity through sacred gathering places, and consecration through the law of tithing. Together, these revelations reflect the growing maturity of the restored Church and the Lord's ongoing pattern of preparing His Saints for Zion.

If God's calling you into something new and it feels uncomfortable, this episode will help you trust Him in the messy middle and step into the higher purpose He's preparing for you. Sister, has God ever stirred something new in your heart—something that excites you and scares you at the same time? You know He's calling you to grow, but this new season doesn't look like what you've always done. Maybe it's a new goal, a dream, or a shift in how you serve Him. You're stepping out of your comfort zone, and the middle feels messy—but that's exactly where God meets you. You're not alone. I'm walking through this too. For years, God used me to inspire women in Christian fitness—to invite Him into their workouts, health goals, and daily habits. But lately, He's been stretching me beyond the gym and calling me higher—to help women find whole-life success in Him: faith, purpose, calling, and confidence that flows from Jesus. Inside This Episode In this raw and real episode of Strong. Confident. His., I'm inviting you behind the scenes of a brand-new season God is walking me through. You'll hear: The story of how God pressed this shift on my heart—including the quiet moment of exhaustion that changed everything The scriptures He's been highlighting to give me courage, peace, and direction Four reflection questions to help you discern what God might be asking of you in your own new season If you've been sensing that God has more for you—more purpose, more peace, and more impact—this episode will help you trust Him in the messy middle and step boldly into your next chapter. Scriptures from This Episode Hebrews 11:6 — “He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Psalm 42:1 — “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.” Psalm 18:33 — “He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places.” Psalm 18:36 — “You enlarged my path under me; so my feet did not slip.” Deuteronomy 12:9 — “For as yet you have not come to the rest and the inheritance which the Lord your God is giving you.” Reflection Questions Where is God calling you to change or grow? What dream or passion has He placed in you that you've been hiding or doubting? Are you thirsting for Him above all else, like the deer in Psalm 42? Are you willing to step onto higher ground, trusting Him to steady your feet even when it feels uncertain? Encouragment Your next season may not look like your last—and that's okay. When God calls you higher, He also equips you. He expands your capacity, your anointing, and your impact. If you remember nothing else, remember this: thirst for Him like the deer longs for water, and trust Him to steady your feet on the new heights. If this episode blessed you, would you share it with a friend who needs this reminder?  Your share could be the encouragement she's been praying for. And if it spoke to your heart, please take a quick moment to leave a five-star review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify—it helps more sisters find hope, healing, and strength in Jesus. Read OnlineJesus was praying in a certain place, and when he had finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray just as John taught his disciples.” Luke 11:1What a great prayer for us to pray also, “Lord, teach us to pray…” Jesus' response to this disciple was to present him with the “Our Father” prayer. Of this prayer, Saint Andre Bessette said, “When you say the Our Father, God's ear is next to your lips.” The great mystical Doctor of the Church Saint Teresa of Ávila gave this advice while praying the Lord's Prayer: “Much more is accomplished by a single word of the Our Father said, now and then, from our heart, than by the whole prayer repeated many times in haste and without attention.” And Saint Thérèse of Lisieux said that the “Our Father” prayer was one of the prayers she prayed when she felt so spiritually barren that she could not summon up a single worthwhile thought. At the Holy Mass, when the priest invites the people of God to pray the “Our Father,” he says, in part, that this prayer is one that “...we dare to say.” This is an interesting statement which especially reveals the childlike boldness we are called to have as we pray this prayer sincerely from the heart. It is exceptionally bold to call God our “Father.”Chapter 11 of My Catholic Worship, which offers a teaching on this perfect prayer, states the following about this boldness:Each Christian is to see the Father as my Father.  We must see ourselves as God's children and approach Him with the confidence of a child.  A child with a loving parent is not afraid of that parent.  Rather, children have the greatest trust that their parents love them no matter what.  Even when they sin, children know they are still loved.  This must be our fundamental starting point for all prayer.  We must start with an understanding that God loves us no matter what.  With this understanding of God, we will have all the confidence we need to call on Him.Since many of us are very familiar with this ideal prayer taught to us by our Lord Himself, there is a temptation to pray this prayer in a somewhat rote way. We can easily fail to say it from the depths of our hearts, making each word our own, offered with the utmost confidence to our loving Father in Heaven. How do you pray the Lord's Prayer? Do you pray it out of habit, failing to fully comprehend and mean the words you pray? Most likely this is the case for many. Reflect, today, upon this most holy prayer given to us by the Son of God Himself. He is the author of this perfect prayer, so we should use it as the foundation of all of our prayer. Try to follow the advice of Saint Teresa of Ávila quoted above. Take each word of that prayer and pray it slowly, intentionally and with love. Begin by acknowledging God as your Father. Ponder the infinite care He has for you as a perfect father would. See Him in a real, intimate, and personal way. This perfect prayer begins by acknowledging Who God is and then continues with seven perfect petitions. After praying the introduction to this prayer, pick one of the seven petitions to meditate upon so that the richness of this prayer will have a transformative effect upon your soul. Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  Jesus, I trust in You.Image: St Peter and St Paul by Lawrence OP, license CC BY-NC-ND 2.0.Source of content: catholic-daily-reflections.comCopyright © 2025 My Catholic Life! This part of the text may be a little confusing, so let me give a little historical context. The Babylonian siege began after King Zedekiah had been in office for nine years. This siege was lifted for a small window of time when the troops caught word that an Egyptian army was approaching. During this break, Zedekiah arrested Jeremiah because he was encouraging the men of Judah to surrender, but God commanded Jeremiah to tell them to do exactly that. During this time, the Lord sends Jeremiah's cousin to sell Him property, and at the Lord's direction, Jeremiah buys it. Confused about the transaction, Jeremiah turns to the Lord for clarity.Jeremiah 32 - 1:15 . Jeremiah 33 - 11:42 . Jeremiah 34 - 18:51 . Psalm 119:129-144 - 24:26 .  :::Christian Standard Bible translation. All music written and produced by John Burgess Ross.Co-produced by Bobby Brown, Katelyn Pridgen, Eric Williamson & the Christian Standard Biblefacebook.com/commuterbibleinstagram.com/commuter_bibletwitter.com/CommuterPodpatreon.com/commuterbibleadmin@commuterbible.org

Embark on this year-long voyage through the Bible, and let each day's passage uplift and inspire you. TODAY'S EPISODE: Welcome to the Daily Radio Bible! In today's episode, host Hunter guides us through a meaningful journey in Scripture, as we open the pages of Ezra chapters 7 and 8, and finish with Luke 20. As Hunter reads and reflects, we follow Ezra leading the Israelites out of Babylon—a profound echo of the Exodus led by Moses—as God's gracious hand brings his people home after years of exile. We'll also hear Jesus challenging religious leaders in Jerusalem, teaching about divine authority, true obedience, and the promise of resurrection. Throughout the episode, Hunter explores the powerful theme of exodus—moving from captivity to freedom, from the kingdoms of this world into God's kingdom through Christ. We're invited to see how God's mercy and deliverance reach across generations, guiding us homeward today just as surely as they did for Ezra and the Israelites. Settle in as we listen, pray, and are reminded that God's gracious hand is still upon his people, leading us toward his love, mercy, and true life. Let's set our hearts homeward together on this October 7th edition of the Daily Radio Bible. TODAY'S DEVOTION: Ezra is leading an Exodus. As Moses led the people of Israel into the Promised Land, Ezra is leading an exodus out of Babylon. He's going home. For 70 long years, the Israelites were held captive in Babylon. Now the tide's turned. God has once again shown himself strong, and the kings of the day are now bowing in deference to the God of Israel. They're actually paying for their subjects to leave. The theme of Exodus is perhaps the most profound and significant theme that we read throughout all of Scripture. God is performing a grand exodus – He's taking people from the kingdoms of this world into the kingdom of our God in Christ. When God's gracious hand of deliverance is on his people, nothing can stop him. It may take some time—maybe 70 long years—but when the tide of God's mercy has shifted, when the flood comes in, there's nothing that will stop it. The gracious hand of our God was always upon Ezra, but now it is evident for all to see. Ezra was trusting. He was faithful. He was obedient, long before King Artaxerxes had his change of mind and heart. Jesus, too, is leading an Exodus. But he is far greater than Moses. He's far greater than Ezra. And God's gracious hand is certainly on his Son, Jesus—the Father exclaimed on multiple occasions: “This is my Son, whom I love.” People of every tribe and nation and language from every place on planet Earth are being led out and onto an exodus into life. In him, the destination is ultimately the same for all of us. We're all headed back to that new Jerusalem in God's new kingdom with our new King, our Liberator, our Jesus. Greater than Moses, greater than Ezra—He's leading us back home. There may be days of great confusion and heartache, and lots of questions along the way, but rest assured: we are headed home. God is leading this exodus. And as we read in this story, they volunteered to go—it was open and available for everyone to return. So sign yourself up today, to walk with him as we walk with him. God's gracious hand is upon the Son, and we are in him. So that gracious hand is upon you too. And this becomes more and more evident in our lives the more we set our hearts toward home. So let's set our hearts homeward. Be swept up in the tide of mercy and love that is yours today. And know his gracious hand is upon you. That's the prayer that I have for my own soul today. That's the prayer that I have for my family, for my wife and my daughters and my son. And that's the prayer that I have for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose  through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen.   Oh God you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after you, and find you. Bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit on all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.   And now Lord,  make me an instrument of your peace.  Where there is hatred let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon.  Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope.  Where there is darkness, light.  And where there is sadness,  Joy.  Oh Lord grant that I might not seek to be consoled as to console. To be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love.  For it is in the giving that we receive, in the pardoning that we are pardoned, it is in the dying that we are born unto eternal life.  Amen And now as our Lord has taught us we are bold to pray... Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not unto temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Loving God, we give you thanks for restoring us in your image. And nourishing us with spiritual food, now send us forth as forgiven people, healed and renewed, that we may proclaim your love to the world, and continue in the risen life of Christ.  Amen.  OUR WEBSITE: www.dailyradiobible.com We are reading through the New Living Translation.   Leave us a voicemail HERE: https://www.speakpipe.com/dailyradiobible Subscribe to us at YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@Dailyradiobible/featured OTHER PODCASTS: Listen with Apple Podcast DAILY BIBLE FOR KIDS DAILY PSALMS DAILY PROVERBS DAILY LECTIONARY DAILY CHRONOLOGICAL

They went into the country of Moab and remained there. But Elimelech, the husband of Naomi, died, and she was left with her two sons. These took Moabite wives … They lived there about ten years, and both [sons] died, so that the woman was left without her two sons and her husband. … So she set out … to return to the land of Judah. But Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, “Go, return each of you to her mother's house.”….And Orpah kissed her mother-in-law, but Ruth clung to her …. Ruth said, “Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. May the Lord do so to me and more also if anything but death parts me from you.” … So the two of them went on until they came to Bethlehem.

In this captivating episode of the Meditative Prayers podcast, hosted by the insightful Dr. Tim Clinton and accessible on Pray.com, we delve into the profound theme of experiencing love in our spiritual journey—a subject that deeply resonates within our Christian community. Living in Jerusalem as a Christian today | with Lynn Rosenberg

Stephanie welcomes Lynn Rosenberg, an American Bible teacher and non-profit founder living in Jerusalem. Lynn is also married to Joel Rosenberg, a NYT bestselling author who's been featured on Gospel Spice before. Lynn tells us what it's like to live in Jerusalem today – and what it's been like since October 7, 2023. Lynn's story is a testament to faith enduring through turbulence, the importance of spiritual and practical community, and the power of everyday obedience. Her journey challenges us to find courage, unity, and hope in Christ, to love sacrificially, and to embrace the unique callings God has set before us—whatever our context may be. Lynn Rosenberg's journey begins with her upbringing in New Jersey in a church-going but not deeply faith-rooted family. Her personal faith ignited at Syracuse University, where she met both her husband, Joel, and Christ. From early on, Lynn and Joel felt called to cross-cultural missions, particularly with a heart for Israel, inspired by Joel's Jewish background and Lynn's close friendships with Jewish neighbors. After years of preparation and service in Washington, D.C., they moved to Israel 11 years ago with their four sons. They became Israeli citizens, and transitioned to life in Israel to fulfill their call to ministry. The Israeli culture, while appearing Western, is deeply Middle Eastern, characterized by tribal mentalities, bureaucracy, and a need to assert oneself daily. Navigating systems, integrating children into small believing communities, and language barriers all proved significant challenges. Church community, both Israeli and international, became a lifeline for practical and spiritual support, nurturing friendships and communal prayer. Lynn recounts the days surrounding October 7, 2023—a day that marked unprecedented violence and upheaval in Israel. Despite a sense of increasing peace before the attack, the reality of war shattered normalcy. With sirens wailing, families hunkered down in bomb shelters, and friends on the frontlines. The Joshua Fund, the nonprofit organization Lynn and Joel founded, rapidly mobilized, prioritizing humanitarian aid particularly for vulnerable populations near the Gaza border. Believers displayed extraordinary courage, continuing to deliver aid even under rocket fire, standing as beacons of light in darkness. A central focus of the Joshua Fund is supporting both Israel and her neighbors—including Arab Israelis and Palestinians. By investing in local churches, training, and humanitarian aid, they work to build unity and break down suspicion. The war has intensified collaboration among denominations, bringing unprecedented unity, generosity, and boldness among believers. Despite barriers, including limited access to Christians in Gaza, the Joshua Fund continues to support those in need, relying on partnerships and prayer. Personally, Lynn highlights the importance of seeking God's will daily and recognizing that each day holds prepared “good works” for us to walk in. She encourages abiding in prayer and Scripture, trusting God's sovereignty amidst uncertainty, and fostering radical hospitality and simple, loving neighborliness. For the next generation, she underscores the vital need for biblical wisdom and discernment, especially in an era of increasing complexity and deception. Simplifying faith to loving God and loving one's neighbor becomes both a countercultural and effective response. MORE ABOUT THE JOSHUA FUND https://joshuafund.com/ In this famous passage from the book of Genesis, the Lord promised to bless those who bless the children of Abraham and curse those who curse them. In Matthew 19:19, Jesus instructed His followers to “love your neighbor as yourself.” In Matthew 5:44, Jesus told His disciples to “love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” In Matthew 25:31-46, Jesus exhorted His followers to feed the hungry, give water to the thirsty, care for strangers, clothe the naked, care for those who are sick, and visit those in prison. Seeking to obey these biblical commands, the Rosenbergs established a non-profit educational and charitable organization that works closely with Jewish and Christian allies in Israel and the Middle East, as well as Christian allies around the world. As an educational organization, The Joshua Fund has sought to engage Christians globally about God's love and plan for Israel and her neighbors. The Joshua Fund has also worked in the Palestinian Territories, as well as in Israel's neighboring countries. In the fourth and final part of the Samson series, Autumn closes out with a challenge: do you know what your weaknesses are? Samson nursed his weaknesses with women and showing off. What he didn't realize was that the very weaknesses he kept at bay instead of handling them with the Lord became what the enemy used to get to him. What have you been using to nurse your weaknesses? Do you know what you should do with your weakness instead?   Monologue: Autumn dispels the common disbelief that “God doesn't speak” to individuals with a recent example of a childlike sign God used to speak to her.   Message: Autumn preaches about the differences between Samson's focus and Paul's focus between strength and weakness.    Testimony: A listener shares the importance of trusting God's PROCESS of healing rather than quick healing.     Bible References Judges 14 2 Corinthians 12:1-10   Links from the show BOOKS: www.autumnmiles.com/resources SPEAKING: www.autumnmiles.com/speaking MERCH: autumnmiles.square.site   PRE-ORDER HOLY GHOSTED HERE! https://www.amazon.com/Holy-Ghosted-Teaches-Surviving-Spiritual/dp/1636415431    If you are interested in becoming a sponsor of the show, send us an email at hello@autumnmiles.com   If you have a suggestion for the ministry, a question for Autumn, a testimony to share, or other inquiry for the Autumn Miles Ministries, click here and fill out the form, or send us an email at hello@autumnmiles.com    Join us on social media! If you read the Bible from cover to cover, you will come away with the knowledge that God is great. There is no limit to His power. There is no end to His creativity. He is a miracle-working God.Main Points:1. As much as we would like to, we cannot fully understand the greatness of God. We are finite, but He is infinite. 2. Over the centuries, Bible scholars have done their best to describe and articulate the greatness of God, but when it comes to God, words will always fail us. The language of humans is incapable of accurately describing the greatness of God. 3. He is the one true God. He has no beginning and no end. He created all things, and all things exist by his divine power. He has no peers. No one gives God advice. No one can fully understand him.  God is perfectly holy. He is pure and righteous in every way. Today's Scripture Verses:Psalm 145:3-7 - “Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;     his greatness no one can fathom. One generation commends your works to another;     they tell of your mighty acts. They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty—     and I will meditate on your wonderful works. They tell of the power of your awesome works—     and I will proclaim your great deeds. They celebrate your abundant goodness     and joyfully sing of your righteousness.”Job 23:13 - “But he stands alone, and who can oppose him? He does whatever he pleases”Isaiah 55:9 - “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Quick Links:Donate to support this podcastLeave a review on Apple PodcastsGet a copy of The 5 Minute Discipleship JournalConnect on SocialJoin The 5 Minute Discipleship Facebook Group
