This is the remastered version of my interview with Todd Neiss from episode 24 that aired back on May 14, 2021. Todd is a long time investigator with tons of field experience and some amazing encounters to share with us on the show tonight. He is also the organizer of the Beachfoot invite only yearly event, that hosts The Who's Who of the Bigfoot world. Todd had his first sighting in the 90's while conducting explosive maneuvers with the military. Stick around and hear his latest encounter from late this past year that he shares for the first time publicly. It's a pretty wild account. See Todd's bio below for more information on his life and experiences as a Bigfoot researcher.Bigfoot witness-turned-researcher, Todd M. Neiss has been an active investigator for over 28 years. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, he grew up hearing of these legendary creatures, alternately known as Bigfoot or Sasquatch, but gave it little credibility beyond that of a good old-fashioned campfire tale designed to frighten young campers. All of that changed for Todd in the spring of 1993.As a Sergeant in the Army's 1249th Combat Engineer Battalion, he came face to face with, not one, but three of the elusive giants in the temperate rain forest of Oregon's Coast Range while conducting high-explosives training. His sighting was independently corroborated by three fellow soldiers who also witnessed these creatures.Since that fateful day, Neiss has conducted numerous investigations including several long-term expeditions in the Coastal, Cascade and Blue Mountain Ranges of Oregon & Washington, as well as Northern California, Arizona, Alaska, Nebraska and British Columbia. Todd believes that, in the tradition of Jane Goodall, Biruté Galdikas and Diane Fossey, the best way to obtain credible evidence of the existence of these fascinating beings is to insert a small research team into the heart of prime Bigfoot habitat for an extended period of time; ideally for 45 to 60-day rotations. In doing so, he hopes to acclimatize the creatures to their presence and eventually overcome their inherent apprehension of humans. It is his opinion that these creatures possess a relatively high IQ in comparison to recognized great apes. Neiss' current theory focuses on that presumed intelligence which he believes fosters an irresistible sense of curiosity...a curiosity which Neiss intends to exploit. By presenting a variety of baits as well as an array of unconventional, non-threatening lures within a pre-designated area, he hopes to successfully collect irrefutable evidence of these creature's existence. "It is my goal to entice these animals by presenting a non-threatening posture and piquing their curiosity, thereby luring them into a specified area where irrefutable evidence can then be obtained," says Neiss. Once the creatures are officially recognized, his ultimate goal is to establish a management program to ensure their perpetual existence for future generations to appreciate.Over the years, his research has garnered him international attention. He has been the subject of numerous documentaries and TV programs from the US and Canada to the UK and Germany. He has been featured on such programs as: Unsolved Mysteries, Encounters, To the Ends of the Earth, The UnXpected and has been featured on the Discovery Channel, Travel Channel and National Geographic. He has also appeared on numerous radio & TV talk shows, local newscasts and newspapers. He is currently producing a documentary about his recent expedition in the uninhabited Broughton Archipelago of British Columbia called “Operation: Sea Monkey” completed on October 1st, 2016.Click or enter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgsN8dQMZGY&t=127s to watch the trailer. He has been a featured speaker at several colleges and universities, and was a regular contributor to the Annual Sasquatch Symposium series held in British Columbia, Canada from 1996 through 1999. Neiss has instructed classes on Bigfoot for the Audubon Society as well as the Campfire Boys & Girls Society; the former involving both classroom and field work and culminating with an overnight working camp in the "Dark Divide" of Washington State's Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Recently he instructed a class for the Scappoose Middle School's outdoor school. Most recently, Neiss was a featured for the History Channel's “The UnXplained” with William Shatner on August 21, 2020. It will air sometime in late November.Todd is the host of the annual, invitation-only gathering of international Bigfoot researchers called “Beachfoot.” This retreat is held every summer in Oregon's temperate Coast Range. This unique event has drawn noted researchers from as far away as Australia, Russia, England, Canada, New Zeeland and nearly every state in the U.S. This year will mark their 14th anniversary of the event.Neiss co-founded the American Primate Conservancy with his wife, Diane Stocking Neiss five years ago. The conservancy was granted a “Domestic Non-Profit Corporation” status by the state of Oregon On October 15, 2015. Their primary mission is “the discovery, knowledge, research, recognition, and protection of the Sasquatch.” The organization has been quietly organizing expeditions, conducting investigations, and participating in multi-media and public speaking engagements in an effort to promote their agenda. They have been actively pursuing grants, donations, sponsorships and volunteers for ongoing research projects.Ultimately, they plan to establish a world-class “Bigfoot Interpretive Center” in the Pacific Northwest as a showcase for promoting public awareness and education regarding these amazing creatures. The facility would include: an interactive museum, auditorium/conference center, art gallery, multi-media studio, classrooms, library, forensics laboratory, nature walk and outdoor amphitheater.A veteran of the Iraq War, Neiss recently retired with meritorious honors from the U.S. Army; where he served for over 21 years. When not working on the project, writing, or conducting research, Todd enjoys fishing, hunting, hiking and camping throughout the Pacific Northwest.Todd and his wife currently live near Mount Hood, 50 miles east of Portland, Oregon. Nestled in the beautiful Cascaded Mountains, the “Chateau de Squatch” is in an ideal location for which to conduct their research and serves as the temporary headquarters for the conservancy. The American Primate Conservancy has a website (www.americanprimate.org) which provides information about the Conservancy, projects past and present, theories, and more. Anyone with a legitimate sighting is encouraged to contact Neiss at 971-570-0097 or by e-mail at americanprimate@aol.com. In todays episode I have the great honor to interview Chocolako, a yoga teacher and womb wisdom facilitaotor here in Bali with a truly touching story. Her family is from Nigeria but she is a first generation American and the first woman in her family to not have an arranged marriage. She has lived in Atlanta, New Zeeland, London, Nigeria and Mexico before she came to Bali. Before finding her passion for yoga and womb wisom, she studied an MBA in London and worked for a pharmaceutical company where she was the only black african woman working. There, she felt very pressured and when she understood she was burned out she stepped away and now she's focusing on prioritizing her health and harmony - and helping other people do the same.In this episode Chocolako shares her unique and transforming life story and we talk about traumas, womb wisdom, and understanding the womb. We talk about how to shift energy, the journey of removing fibroids from her womb, and all the biggest challenges and experiences that came with it. Pronto is not a household name among the ERP options available in the market unless you are from Australia or New Zeeland. Also, Australia is a different beast when it comes to meeting the statutory requirements of that country. Australia's economy is heavily influenced by specific industries such as mining. Naturally, the software from Australia will have deep capabilities for those industries. But how capable is Pronto for other industries? How do they approach the market? Where are they going to be the best fit? And where would they struggle? These are the questions you will have if you are evaluating Pronto as the potential option for your next ERP project. In today's episode, we invited a panel of industry experts for a live discussion on LinkedIn to conduct an independent review of Pronto ERP's capabilities. We covered many grounds, including their strength in mining and retail industries along with their exclusive focus on the Australian market. Her story is moving and the work shes done as a social worker is truly spectacular. Shes counseled New Zeeland government on their legislation in legalizing prostitution, she's written federal legislation and she currently runs a successful copywriting agency in Florida . Shes happy, healthy and continues to educate the public about the world of human trafficking. My guest tonight is Todd Neiss. All of that changed for Todd in the spring of 1993. As a Sergeant in the Army's 1249th Combat Engineer Battalion, he came face to face with, not one, but three of the elusive giants in the temperate rain forest of Oregon's Coast Range while conducting high-explosives training. He is currently producing a documentary about his recent expedition in the uninhabited Broughton Archipelago of British Columbia called “Operation: Sea Monkey” completed on October 1st, 2016. Click or enter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgsN8dQMZGY&t=127s to watch the trailer. It will air sometime in late November. Todd and Diane are the hosts of the annual, invitation-only gathering of international Bigfoot researchers called “Beachfoot.” This retreat is held every summer in Oregon's temperate Coast Range. They have been actively pursuing grants, donations, sponsorships and volunteers for ongoing research projects. Ultimately, they plan to establish a world-class “Bigfoot Interpretive Center” in the Pacific Northwest as a showcase for promoting public awareness and education regarding these amazing creatures. The facility would include: an interactive museum, auditorium/conference center, art gallery, multi-media studio, classrooms, library, forensics laboratory, nature walk and outdoor amphitheater. A veteran of the Iraq War, Neiss recently retired with meritorious honors from the U.S. Army; where he served for over 21 years. When not working on the project, writing, or conducting research, Todd enjoys fishing, hunting, hiking and camping throughout the Pacific Northwest. Todd and his wife currently live near Mount Hood, 50 miles east of Portland, Oregon. He promises to treat every report confidentially, respectfully and professionally. PERSONAL REFERENCES"I have known Todd Neiss for some ten years. We first met because of a mutual interest in the Bigfoot phenomenon and within this decade we have carried out several field trips together in connection with the mystery...I know Todd to be a young man of fine moral character, a person whose integrity would never need to be questioned...he is far ahead of many in the field. This has its basis in three things and these are, essentially, dedication, tenacity and an intelligent approach. I have no hesitation in recommending Todd and the services he can render in research on what is now one of the last great mysteries of our shrinking planet, to anyone requiring his services, or wishing to be associated with him or sponsoring a project designed by and to be directed by him." - Peter Byrne, Author, Researcher, Explorer, Conservationist. Fellow, The Royal Geographical Society, London, England; Member Emeritus, The Explorers Club, New York, NY.; Member, The Academy of Applied Science, Boston, MA.; Honorary Member, The East African Professional Hunters Association; Honorary Executive Director, The International Wildlife Conservation Society."Having dealt with Mr. Neiss on numerous issues related to the Bigfoot problem, and having recently actually worked with him in the field in Oregon, I can state without any reservation that he is a thoughtful individual, one who is more concerned with helping to solve a scientific problem than with personal aggrandizement, one who is certainly qualified to work on this kind of problem, and one whose integrity is beyond question." – The late Dr. J. Richard Greenwell, International Explorer, Secretary-International Society Of Cryptozoology, Research Associate in Mammalogy-International Wildlife Museum, Tucson, AZ."I first met Todd Neiss when he spoke at a conference in Harrison Hot Springs, BC in 1996. At that time he gave a very professional account of his 1993 Sasquatch observations near Seaside, Oregon. (I briefly cited his observations on page 42 of my recent book.) Since then, we have met at other conferences and I have become impressed with his sincerity and willingness to persevere with serious investigations on his own time and using his own funds. He has investigated a number of Sasquatch reports and presented his results in timely and helpful reports which he has shared with his colleagues. His presentations at conferences and in the media are a credit to him and to our attempts to attract serious attention to this subject. I consider Todd's presence in this difficult area to be a great asset. His efforts have been important in our attempts to bring this controversial subject into mainstream biology. I hope that he will continue his work. I am more than willing to be included in any work that Todd undertakes in an advisory basis as required," – The late Dr. John Bindernagel, Ph. D., Wildlife Biologist, published author.

I've ‘known' Dr. Sarb for many years from the online running community. He's a New Zeeland based psychologist and is just now putting out a book about how to survive the Covid.  I had some tech problems and had to cut him short so I had him send me a preamble which I'll stick on the front of the interview.  By the way why is it called New Zeeland?  Doesn't that imply an Old Zeeland? Isn't this a British colony? Zeeland isn't very British.  In fact the is an old Zeeland and it's north of Amsterdam in the Netherlands.  The first people to ‘discover' what would become New Zeeland were Dutch.  Specifically a dude named Abel Tasman.  Yup, that's how you get Tasmania.  At the time he thought he had run into Argentina.  His GPS must not have been charged.  Anyhow, subsequently the Dutch thought, hey, this place is made up of islands like Zeeland, which in old Dutch means “Sea Land” and so you have New Zeeland.    In section two I'll talk about living life like it's improvisational art.  … At the risk of being the crazy old etymologist, I want you to think about the word ‘compassion'.  It's a good old Latin word.  The first bit means ‘with' the second bit means ‘suffering'.  Having compassion means the ability to understand and feel another's pain and suffering.  “With Suffering”.  At this point most writers will go off on a screed about how you have to suffer for what you want.  How passion is the ability to suffer for a goal.  I'm not going to do that, although it's a great screed.  Very biblical.  Has the smell of ancient empires and codes of honor to it.  Unsurprising it's Roman in origin.  I'm going to talk about having compassion for someone else.  Understanding and appreciating someone else's suffering.   If you think about anyone you know, live with or work with – to some extent they are all suffering.  Whether they show it or not.  And the ones that are suffering the most are the one's that are the hardest to have empathy for.  Because they are typically externalizing that suffering in ways that are negative.  It doesn't mean you have to agree with them. It doesn't mean you have to like them.  It doesn't mean they shouldn't be held accountable.  It means you understand their suffering.  This is important because people who are suffering tend to externalize that suffering.  They lash out.  They act out.  It is in our nature to suffer.  It is in our nature to be passionate.  It makes us human.  Passion by it's nature is irreconcilable with the norm.  Passionate people are outliers in one way or another.  If you can bring yourself to look for the suffering behind another's actions it will help you understand them.  It will help your own suffering because it will allow you to understand.  Understanding converts emotion to reason.  And with that reason you are in a better position to deal with those who are suffering.  But compassion also means celebrating those who are achieving happiness.  It is part of empathy and growth.  When was the last time you told someone you were happy for them? Try saying this in a moment of contemplation while visualizing someone you know who has achieved something that has made them happy. Because that empathy for others happiness begets joy in yourself. Now try saying this: "May I have appreciation for my own joy. May my happiness grow." And notice how that makes you feel and how the two are intertwined.  On with the show! About Zero ZERO — The End of Prostate Cancer is the leading national nonprofit with the mission to end prostate cancer. ZERO advances research, improves the lives of men and families, and inspires action. I'm a clinical psychologist, consultant, speaker, and media commentator with an insatiable curiosity about this human experience.   Over my 30-year career in psychology, I've been privileged to work alongside many brilliant minds producing phenomenal psychological research into the way our brains work.   The problem is that very little of this incredible work filters down in a useful way to the people it could really help. Ordinary people trying to sustain relationships, bring up kids, hold down a job, lead a team or an organisation, make a contribution and generally do life well. In other words, all of us.   Until now. Through my videos, podcasts, consulting and speaking, I uncover and interpret the latest psychological research from experts around the globe, transforming complex concepts into useful insights that help individuals, leaders and organisations navigate this ever-changing world.   Section two – Life as Improv -   Outro Ok my friends we have holed up in our home offices for almost an entire year, and most certainly,  through the end of Episode 4-447 of the RunRunLive Podcast.   I've got a couple stories for you to take you out, but first remember to go listen to my new podcast the apocalypse serial “After the Apocalypse”.  Like it, write a review, forward it to your friends and share it on social, please.  It was a busy week back at work.  This seemed to be the week when everyone showed back up from vacation looking to get stuff done. Since I wasn't running it was weirdly ok because I had one less thing to do.  I've been at this new job for a year now, so I guess I have to stop calling it a new job.  I'm grateful to have made the decision to move back into a bigger company.  Doesn't' look like we'll be getting out of lock down any time soon.  I'm eyeballing a April event but not sure I'll want to get on a plane and not sure I'll be able to visit the home office.  I'm also feeling a weird “maybe I don't have what it takes to run an ultra anymore” feeling.  I only made it through a  week of heavier training before I broke myself this time. I guess I'm feeling a bit mortal which isn't a great feeling.  Maybe it has something to do with the psychology of the Apocalypse.  Ironically my new pair of Hokas showed up the same day I had to go to the clinic for the infected toe.  I down graded to the Challenger ATR's from the SpeedGoat's. I just can't stomach paying $180 for a pair of shoes.  These new Challengers seem much lighter than the older versions.  The outsole seems stiffer too.  And of course the toe-box is a bit roomier! I did end up partially breaking those $30 UBI Bluetooth headphones.  I say partially, because the left ear still works, which is actually ok for podcasts.  Might be a million dollar idea there folks – make an athletic version of those single ear-piece Bluetooth headphones.  Let me take you out with a home-office story.  And it might be a little unsettling for those of you with an aversion to rodents.  So there are mousetraps involved, if that's triggering for you, you might want to skip ahead.  One of the mornings this week I carry my coffee and avocado toast up to my office to read the news on my computer, like I do most mornings.  I notice, what I think are sesame seeds from the toast on the pad in front of the keyboard.  And I almost drop them into my avocado, before I realize they are mouse turds.  It's been a low-mouse invasion year because we got the new garage doors in December.  But I left them open last weekend whilst clearing snow.  (how many people do you know that use the word ‘Whilst'?) Anyhow, I think “crap, there's a mouse living in my office crawling around on my desk eating my breakfast crumbs.  So, I set a couple traps along the baseboard and kept my day going. Then my big-boss calls, can you be on this call in 15 minutes where the corporate blah, blah, is talking about blah, blah.  OK, I can do that, luckily I'm showered and dressed at this point.  So I'm at my stand up desk, on the video call, acting like I have some sort of intelligence, knowledge and authority – when ‘Snap!' the trap goes off about a foot and a half from where I'm standing.  But, it doesn't kill the mouse right away.  So, I'm stuck talking to these people on this video call while the mouse is thrashing about on the floor next to me.   They never knew.  Say what you want about this remote work, it comes with new experiences.  I think the biggest challenge of extended home arrest is the sameness of it.  The ground-hog day nature of it.  But that can be comforting too.   It can lead you to feel uninspired and pointless.  And when that happens I think we just have to keep moving.  Like Dr. Sarb suggests you have to make up rules that simplify things for your over-taxed brain.  One I've found useful is to commit blocks of time.  30 minutes is a good block of time when you're having trouble focusing.  Shift the focus from, “I need to do this thing” to I'm going to work on this one task for 30 minutes non-stop.  The old Pomadoro Method.  Adds structure.  I've rejoined Twitter after a few years away.  As always I'm cyktrussell.  I've got about 13,000 followers.  I tweet about running stuff.  I retweet from the back-catalogue of 1,000 plus articles I've written on my website RunRunLive.com.  I mostly make snide comments and tweet Grateful Dead Lyrics.  Follow me and we'll exchange snark. Ok my friends, whether you feel like a Rockstar or the mouse, let's make 2021 the best year yet by showing up and doing the work and bringing the joy. And, hopefully,  I will see you out there. Zeeland isn’t very British.  In fact the is an old Zeeland and it’s north of Amsterdam in the Netherlands.  The first people to ‘discover’ what would become New Zeeland were Dutch.  Specifically a dude named Abel Tasman.  Yup, that’s how you get Tasmania.  At the time he thought he had run into Argentina.  His GPS must not have been charged.  Anyhow, subsequently the Dutch thought, hey, this place is made up of islands like Zeeland, which in old Dutch means “Sea Land” and so you have New Zeeland.    In section two I’ll talk about living life like it’s improvisational art.  … At the risk of being the crazy old etymologist, I want you to think about the word ‘compassion’.  It’s a good old Latin word.  The first bit means ‘with’ the second bit means ‘suffering’.  Having compassion means the ability to understand and feel another’s pain and suffering.  “With Suffering”.  At this point most writers will go off on a screed about how you have to suffer for what you want.  How passion is the ability to suffer for a goal.  I’m not going to do that, although it’s a great screed.  Very biblical.  Has the smell of ancient empires and codes of honor to it.  Unsurprising it’s Roman in origin.  I’m going to talk about having compassion for someone else.  Understanding and appreciating someone else’s suffering.   If you think about anyone you know, live with or work with – to some extent they are all suffering.  Whether they show it or not.  And the ones that are suffering the most are the one’s that are the hardest to have empathy for.  Because they are typically externalizing that suffering in ways that are negative.  It doesn’t mean you have to agree with them. It doesn’t mean you have to like them.  It doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be held accountable.  It means you understand their suffering.  This is important because people who are suffering tend to externalize that suffering.  They lash out.  They act out.  It is in our nature to suffer.  It is in our nature to be passionate.  It makes us human.  Passion by it’s nature is irreconcilable with the norm.  Passionate people are outliers in one way or another.  If you can bring yourself to look for the suffering behind another’s actions it will help you understand them. I’m a clinical psychologist, consultant, speaker, and media commentator with an insatiable curiosity about this human experience.   Over my 30-year career in psychology, I’ve been privileged to work alongside many brilliant minds producing phenomenal psychological research into the way our brains work. I’ve got a couple stories for you to take you out, but first remember to go listen to my new podcast the apocalypse serial “After the Apocalypse”.  Like it, write a review, forward it to your friends and share it on social, please.  It was a busy week back at work.  This seemed to be the week when everyone showed back up from vacation looking to get stuff done. Since I wasn’t running it was weirdly ok because I had one less thing to do.  I’ve been at this new job for a year now, so I guess I have to stop calling it a new job.  I’m grateful to have made the decision to move back into a bigger company.  Doesn’t’ look like we’ll be getting out of lock down any time soon.  I’m eyeballing a April event but not sure I’ll want to get on a plane and not sure I’ll be able to visit the home office.  I’m also feeling a weird “maybe I don’t have what it takes to run an ultra anymore” feeling.  I only made it through a  week of heavier training before I broke myself this time. I guess I’m feeling a bit mortal which isn’t a great feeling.  Maybe it has something to do with the psychology of the Apocalypse.  Ironically my new pair of Hokas showed up the same day I had to go to the clinic for the infected toe.  I down graded to the Challenger ATR’s from the SpeedGoat’s. I just can’t stomach paying $180 for a pair of shoes. So there are mousetraps involved, if that’s triggering for you, you might want to skip ahead. It’s been a low-mouse invasion year because we got the new garage doors in December.  But I left them open last weekend whilst clearing snow.  (how many people do you know that use the word ‘Whilst’?) Anyhow, I think “crap, there’s a mouse living in my office crawling around on my desk eating my breakfast crumbs.  So, I set a couple traps along the baseboard and kept my day going. Then my big-boss calls, can you be on this call in 15 minutes where the corporate blah, blah, is talking about blah, blah.  OK, I can do that, luckily I’m showered and dressed at this point.  So I’m at my stand up desk, on the video call, acting like I have some sort of intelligence, knowledge and authority – when ‘Snap!’ the trap goes off about a foot and a half from where I’m standing.  But, it doesn’t kill the mouse right away.  So, I’m stuck talking to these people on this video call while the mouse is thrashing about on the floor next to me. One I’ve found useful is to commit blocks of time.  30 minutes is a good block of time when you’re having trouble focusing.  Shift the focus from, “I need to do this thing” to I’m going to work on this one task for 30 minutes non-stop.  The old Pomadoro Method.  Adds structure.  I’ve rejoined Twitter after a few years away.  As always I’m cyktrussell.  I’ve got about 13,000 followers.  I tweet about running stuff.  I retweet from the back-catalogue of 1,000 plus articles I’ve written on my website RunRunLive.com.  I mostly make snide comments and tweet Grateful Dead Lyrics.  Follow me and we’ll exchange snark. Ok my friends, whether you feel like a Rockstar or the mouse, let’s make 2021 the best year yet by showing up and doing the work and bringing the joy. And, hopefully,  I will see you out there. Daniela Ibarra-Howell is the co-founder and director of the Savory Institute in Colorado in the United States. As a child, growing up in Buenos Aires in Argentina Daniela dreamt of moving out of the big city to the countryside and so she studied agronomy so she could find a job out in the field. But in Argentina in the late 1980s, it was not easy for a woman agronomist to become a rancher. Instead, Daniela became a governmental advisor at the ministry of agriculture where she also become intrigued by the challenges of desertification. To find answers to these challenges she went to study in New Zeeland, where she also met her future husband Jim Howell. Jim introduced Daniela to the work of Zimbabwean Allan Savory, whose principles on holistic management gave her the answers she was looking for. One thing lead to the other and as a newlywed couple the Howells moved to the United States and founded the Savory Institute, a learning hub around holistic management practices. In our conversation we talk about the development of the regenerative agriculture movement that applies holistic management to their farmlands and how such practices affects life on land and the life of the farmers. Darrell talks about how we let Western Civilization fail because we individually and collectively failed to comprehend its virtues and stopped thinking about the divine image of God in each individual. Transcription / Notes FATAL DECADENCE          Hello this is Darrell Castle with today's Castle Report. Today is Friday the 14th day of August 2020 and on this Report, I return to an old theme and that is the defense of Western Civilization, but today I will look at it from a new direction. Today's theme is the inherent worth of the individual or that spark of divinity that is the image of God which is the very heart of Western Civilization. Here at the Castle Family we are troubled right now. Oh, Joan and I are fine, but as my pastor once told me, you are only as happy as your saddest child, and the family daughter is troubled today. She is still stuck on her jungle island but there is a chance she can get a flight to Australia or New Zeeland in a couple of weeks. The problem is that she could end up stuck there and without her husband, so it is a cause of concern. My report to you today is not really a defense of Western Civilization at all since I have already done that many times as well as I am able. This report is rather about how we let it fail because we individually and collectively failed to comprehend its virtues. We stopped thinking about that divine image of God or if you are an atheist then just call it the inherent worth of the individual. Throughout the centuries many events have shaken the west from that path. World Wars, plagues, lean years have all occurred but somehow the west always found its way back to that single theme. I don't know about this time though; this time seems different since forces inside the West seem dead set on destroying that civilization which has uplifted the individual for centuries. The rule of law is the first line of defense in the protection of the individual and his property and that is obviously in grave danger right now. Cities across America are all, surrendering to the mob and refusing to defend the individuals that live within them. Virtually all these cities are controlled by Democrat Mayors, Democrat City Councils, Democrat Attorneys General, and Democrat Governors. These politicians seem to consider their police forces as the enemy rather than the violent criminals that threaten their cities. For example, in Minneapolis the city council voted 12-0 to completely abolish their police force. Since that vote the murder and robbery rates have soared in Minneapolis. Undeterred, one council member even suggested that it was privilege to expect your property to be free from robbery and arson. The West Coast cities of Portland and Seattle have been torn by riots, looting, and burning for months as the Mayor and Governor will not enforce the law. I suppose they support the goals of the looters not the property owners, but for whatever reason they are willing to watch their cities burn. In Chicago currently there is widespread looting across the city including the glamour shopping districts. I saw an interview with a BLM leader, and she said that looting was reparations. She didn't say reparations for what, and she didn't say why today's property owners owed her money.  The only thing Mayor Lori Lightfoot is willing to do is to raise the draw bridges in hope that would keep the looters out of downtown. Chicago used to be known as the nation's meat market. Its football team were the monsters of the midway, but now its known for looting and murder. Would you like to buy a 10-million-dollar penthouse in downtown Chicago? Yeah, I didn't think so. Mayor De Blasio just looted the New York police budget of a billion dollars and soon after the murder and violent crime rates started soaring in NYC and haven't stopped. People who can afford to leave are leaving in droves from America's Democrat cities. What sane person would put up with the aggravation of living in Manhattan or downtown Chi...

Today on The Natural Birth Podcast we have Alexa Alexa is a mother of one from Aotearoa, New Zeeland. Today we will talk about the birth of her dreams, an outdoor undisturbed water birth, under a tree, beneath the stars, following her instincts. Alexa chose to free birth her baby after years of researching and studying birth, with a midwife as a backup. She had an agreement with her partner that if all felt good for the both of them during the labour and birth they wouldn't call the midwife, as they knew the midwife wasn't comfortable with Alexa having an unassisted birth, but would have wanted to monitor her progress. Something Alexa didn't want. More and more women choose to free birth, not because they don't want a midwife present but because they don't trust that they will not be interfered with, or the sheer fact that there is no midwives in their area or its to expensive. Food for thought for the people in power making it difficult or impossible for women to be safely cared for in the way they choose to birth their babies and for the midwives wanting to assist them. Alexas own empowered birth led her to become a Doula and birth photographer. Curious about Alexa? Find her at www.alexadoulaphotography.co.nz

The French-Canadien actor Yves Jacques works all over the world. I met him in Paris where he performed Robert Lepage´s magic play Far side of the Moon. At theatre La Villette in Paris Yves Jacques is on stage two hours and he takes us on a fascinating journey into the lives of two brothers in Québec City. One passionate about everything about space and cosmonauts, the other a television weatherman with a big ego. Brothers with the same DNA but so different. They are only united by the death of their beloved mother.  The music is composed by Laurie Anderson and artistic collaborator and project originator is the Swedish director Peder Bjurman. "Far side of the Moon" premiered in Québec City in March 2000 and has since been shown in more than 45 cities all over the world. Yves Jacques has played this solo show 280 times. After the Paris-session Yves Jacques is off to do the show in Australia and New Zeeland.
