Limited Run, Just For Games et bien d'autres sont directement concernés.

Eight years ago, a broken heart and a bar called Sugars turned into the GZ Chop Shop. This week, Greg, Ty, and Uly celebrate 8 years on air by diving into PlayStation's plan to kill physical games in 2028, the billion-dollar UK lawsuit that could reshape the PlayStation Store, dynamic pricing, Xbox's leadership shakeup, and a real console-wars history lesson — plus the origin story of the show itself.KEY TAKEAWAYSSony is ending physical disc production in January 2028 — every future PlayStation game will be digital-only, which strips away the one built-in price comparison consumers had against the PlayStation Store.Sony faces a UK monopoly lawsuit (reported near $2.7B) alleging the PlayStation Store's 30% commission and lack of retail competition make digital prices "excessive and unfair" — on top of an already-settled $7.85M U.S. case over lost voucher competition.Dynamic pricing is coming to PlayStation Store — the same game could cost you more or less depending on your purchase history and genre preferences, with no outside storefront to compare against once physical is gone."Owning" a digital license isn't the same as owning a game — Yakuza Zero and the Kingdom Hearts All-in-One collection have both been delisted from PS Store, and physical PS Vita purchases have a hard shutoff date looming.Xbox's leadership is in flux, and the crew digs into what that means for whoever ends up being blamed if Game Pass's economics don't hold up long-term.A real console-wars history lesson: why the Xbox 360 outsold the PS3 lifetime (and why that one-year head start matters more than people remember), and how Nintendo profits off pure brand loyalty (Labo, we're looking at you).Square Enix is moving upcoming titles to "game key cards" on Switch — a cartridge that's really just a license key, not the actual game data.8 years, 241+ episodes, zero hiatuses — the crew looks back at how a bad breakup and a bar conversation turned into a full media brand.CHAPTERS00:00 — Intro: 8 years of the Chop Shop + anniversary housekeeping01:00 — G FUEL Giveaway details (prize pack + $50 Steam Gift Card)02:00 — PlayStation's censorship baggage, revisited03:41 — Sony's billion-dollar UK monopoly lawsuit04:41 — Dynamic pricing, explained plainly06:22 — GTA 6's price tag and the industry domino effect07:03 — Digital "ownership" is a rental — the GamesRadar take that broke us11:26 — The Crew (Yakuza Zero) delisting precedent13:14 — Kingdom Hearts All-in-One quietly disappears from PS Store20:12 — How to actually protect your physical/digital library before the cutoffs hit22:57 — Xbox's "we told you so" moment29:00 — Is Microsoft trying to sell off Xbox?31:00 — Xbox 360 vs. PS3 vs. Wii — the real lifetime sales numbers41:41 — Nintendo's untouchable formula (yes, we all bought the Labo)44:52 — Days Gone, Sunset Overdrive, and games we'll never get sequels for45:26 — Square Enix's game key card move — bad news for physical Switch collectors53:54 — [Redacted for decency — you'll know it when you hear it]54:22 — 8 years of GZ Chop Shop: the actual origin story1:08:00 — The wildest guest requests we've ever landed1:14:16 — Where we want the show to go next1:19:15 — Outro + how to enter the anniversary giveaway⚡ G FUEL affiliate link

The big moment has finally happened: XBOX announced its huge restructure on Monday, laying off 1,600 employees effective immediately and another 1,600 throughout fiscal year 2027. They've also divested of four studios and already started the process to possibly do the same with Arkane Studios as well. Layoffs are happening all across their studios; IPs are going with the divested studios. XBOX CEO Asha Sharma even admitted that the XBOX business is not doing well, and that's part of this too. Sean and Marc discuss it all, and will this truly RESET XBOX? Also, PlayStation is not without its bad decisions this week, as they not only are closing the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita online store, but they announced that, as of 2028, there will be NO MORE Physical Disc games made. Essentially ripping a hole into the physical vs. digital debate once and for all. But will this decision actually stick? Warmest of Welcomes everybody! Max and Zac are back with another new guest as community member Gazdavis11 joins the show. The now usual run of the show begins with Platinum Shoutouts highlighting completions within the community. Zac then takes us through a somewhat unusual iteration of The Record as he highlights some of the highest rated game releases of the last two years that haven't been completed. Cactuar Vs. Tonberry follows with a review of last month and a new set of challenges from the boys to each other. Gaz has cooked up a special challenge that is sure to keep the boys on their toes going forward. Gaz kicks off What We Have Been Playing with some love for the PS Vita before breaking down an unexplored genre for him with Sand Land. Zac has been playing a number of smaller titles around the big release of Saros that has taken most of his time. Max has been busy, cleaning up four platinums including Clair Obscur and Kena: Bridge of Spirits as well as boosting in one of the most unique Crash Bandicoot games out there. The boys finish off with the promising new segment/topic named Pitch Me, where they each take the time to pitch a new game idea. Zac kicks off with a new tactics Final Fantasy game featuring a multitude of modes and spanning the series' impressive history. Max sends Yu-Gi-Oh to the shadow realm as he reimagines the classic IP as a Soulslike game. Gaz rounds the segment off by bringing a franchise he enjoys, SpyHunter, into the modern day with twists and turns that get the ideas flowing. We hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you again in June where Zac will once again have the reins. Until then, Be excellent to each other. Zac

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown à 20€.

Hoe kijken we daartegenaan? Je hoort het in deze video.

featured Wiki of the Day

fWotD Episode 3078: Terraria Welcome to featured Wiki of the Day, your daily dose of knowledge from Wikipedia's finest articles. The featured article for Wednesday, 8 October 2025, is Terraria.Terraria ( tə-RAIR-ee-ə) is a 2011 action-adventure video game developed by Re-Logic and published by 505 Games. A sandbox game, Terraria has no set goals. After creating the player character and choosing the game's difficulty, the player is placed in a two-dimensional, procedurally generated world where they explore, fight enemies, gather resources, and craft equipment. Players beat bosses, a tougher variety of enemies, to gain access to more items, resources, and equipment. By completing select goals, players receive access to non-player characters (NPCs) who sell items and offer services, such as healing and fishing quests. Terraria can be played alone or with others, and features support for modding.Andrew Spinks commenced development in January 2011; he was assisted by a team of game testers and designers. As of 2025, Terraria is developed by eleven members of Re-Logic. Initially released in May 2011 on the Steam digital store, Terraria has received continuous content updates that have considerably changed it from its first version. The game was originally set to end development in 2012, but it resumed in 2013. Terraria has since seen the addition of new items, NPCs, enemies, and world difficulties, as well as quality-of-life improvements and crossovers with different games. It has also been ported to other platforms, including home video game consoles, handheld consoles, mobile phones, and operating systems. Despite announcing in 2020 that the game's fourth major update would be its last, Re-Logic has continued developing Terraria. Terraria has received generally favorable reviews from critics. Gameplay aspects, such as exploration, replayability, and amount of content, have been praised, and the crafting has been viewed as complex. The lack of a tutorial for PC has been criticized, but the tutorial worlds of Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita were commended. The combat system, as well as the controls for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and the retro-styled sprites, were also positively received. As of 2025, Terraria has sold over 64 million copies, making it one of the best-selling video games of all time. Re-Logic developed Terraria: Otherworld from 2015 until it was canceled in 2018.This recording reflects the Wikipedia text as of 00:45 UTC on Wednesday, 8 October 2025.For the full current version of the article, see Terraria on Wikipedia. This podcast uses content from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.Visit our archives at wikioftheday.com and subscribe to stay updated on new episodes.Follow us on Mastodon at @wikioftheday@masto.ai.Also check out Curmudgeon's Corner, a current events podcast.Until next time, I'm neural Danielle.

Live in your world, podcast in ours. Welcome back to the podcast! Today, we're going to be talking about Astro Bot, a 3D platformer and a PS5 exclusive. When it comes to console exclusivity, I would usually argue against it, as it restricts people's access to games and tend to only benefit established developers and publishers who already have a lot of clout in the industry. This game, however, really wouldn't exist without it. Set in a very Sony-themed world where your lead character travels through space inside a PS5 and flies between levels on a DualSense 5 controller, your goal is to complete levels in order to regain the internal components, fan, GPU, etc., of the PS5 and rebuild it. The main collectibles for progression are robot representations of games that Sony has had a hand in over the years and the lead up to the final boss involves fighting atop a PS Vita. I'd be lying if I said it didn't feel a little dystopian. It is cute, to some extent, and the game's levels are well designed and rotate between a variety of interesting powerups, so I wouldn't fault you for enjoying the game in spite of the branding, but I might look at you a little funny if you enjoyed it because of it. We're going to be talking about the use of the unique hardware of the PS5, how motivational the collectibles are, and what you could and could not consider to be a box. Thank you for joining us again this week! This was a pretty smooth game to play, all things considered, and there's something to be said for that. Sometimes you're just in the mood for something that doesn't throw up too many roadblocks, and this fills that niche pretty well, being not too challenging but very visually vibrant and playful. Were you looking forward to this game after the previous Astro titles, or did you get this game because of a lack of other titles on the PS5? Let us know in the comments or over on our Discord server! Next time, we're going to be talking about Life is Strange: Double Exposure, so we hope you'll join us for that.

Also Battlefield 6 may launch at a premium price of over $80 this after Microsoft Gaming and Xbox announced that The Outer Worlds 2 has lowered its price from $80 toa more reasonable 70 us dollar price tag. If Electronic Arts revealed the price to be 80 dollars along the likes Mario Kart World and Grand Theft Auto 6 might very well launch at that price. Is BF4 really having the backing the way of Call of Duty Black Ops 7 or GTA 6? Also our Wuchang Fallen Feathers Review in Progress as it already is breaking records on steam concurrent player count?
