On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Bethesda has finally revealed how much The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition will cost, alongside how much it will be to upgrade from Skyrim Special Edition on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. On digital storefronts, Skyrim Anniversary Edition will cost $49.99 / £47.99 on November 11, 2021. But, if you already own Skyrim Special Edition, the Anniversary Upgrade will instead cost $19.99 / £15.99. Nintendo will seemingly be sticking with the Switch for several years yet, with internal discussions for a next-generation console still taking place around a release window, and even what its concept will be. Nintendo has said that it will continue to improve and expand on its Switch Online service as well as its recently released premium Expansion Pack - possibly in response to the poor reception to its pricing and recent additions. Nintendo has said that it won't rule out acquiring new companies in the future, but has stated that it is currently prioritizing investment in its existing studios. «The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim» erschien im November 2011 auf PS3, Xbox 360 und PC. Auf dem PC lockte das Rollenspiel immer wieder mit neuen Mods, deshalb ist diese grafische Auffrischung insbesondere für Konsolenspieler interessant. Wer «Skyrim» noch nie gespielt hat und US-Rollenspiele mag, erhält hier ein Meilenstein des Genres. Zudem sind alle erschienenen DLCs erhalten - Stunden, Wochen, ja wer mag kann hier Monate sogar Jahre verbringen. Denn die riesige, offene Spielwelt bietet dem Spieler Unmengen an Freiheiten - es ist eine Art Fantasy-Welt-Baukasten, die Aufgaben, die hier zu erledigen sind, kaum aufzählbar, schier endlos. Inhaltlich setzt das Game knapp 200 Jahre nach den Ereignissen in «The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion» an. Eine Weissagung spricht von der Rückkehr der Drachen, die dann auch eintrifft und Euch vor dem Tod bewahrt. Zuvor gestaltet Ihr aber im Editor in Genre-Manier Euren Protagonisten, die Auswahl ist dabei auch heute noch bestechend vielfältig. Wer motzen mag, dem fallen die doch für heutige Massstäbe teils hölzerne Animationen auf und die NPCs sind nicht sonderlich vielschichtig. Doch dies ist bei der schieren Grösse, dem gigantischen Waffenarsenal, den unzähligen spielerischen Möglichkeiten leicht verschmerzbar. Kurzum: Dank der erheblich verbesserten Optik mit dynamischen Tiefenschärfe und stabilen 30 FPS taucht Ihr noch mehr in die fantastische «Skyrim»-Welt ein. Der Genre-Meilenstein wird zwar nicht spielerisch besser, jedoch schöner und ist insbesondere für Spieler, die aus unerfindlichen Gründen dieses Masterstück nicht gespielt haben, jeden Spielminute wert.
