Welcome to the PRmoment Podcast.Today, we're talking PR Ethics, basically because Mary Beth West, who is a senior strategist at Fletcher Marketing PR in the US, has funded research by the Institute of Business Ethics (IBE), which compares and contrasts 24 global ethics codes of PR.On the show today, Mary Beth is going to talk through some of the themes of this research. Today's podcast also sees the return of the finest voice radio voice in PR - Trevor Morris, who I suspect will bring some practical thoughts on the real-world implementation of PR ethics codes. Trevor and his co-author Simon Goldsworthy wrote the book Public Relations Ethics.A quick mention about the relaunch of PRmoment. If you take a look at PRmoment.com, you'll see a brand new design with lots of new features, hopefully easier navigation and also the launch of our new subscription training service for senior folks within agencies' PRmoment Leaders. Do take a look and let us know if you like it. Thanks also to the PRmoment Podcast sponsors the PRCA.Here is a summary of what Trevor, Mary Beth and PRmoment founder Ben Smith discussed:2 mins Do published ethics codes serve a critical role in public relations? “Of all the ethics codes in PR…accuracy and honesty were the values that were universal.”“There are other elements of codes that are not universal, such as guarding of conflict of interests. ““AI is another one that is not dealt with in codes.”“PR ethics codes are an important benchmark. You have to have them… But the reality is that very few people have read them.”“When they do get used it's often after the event. When something has gone wrong.”“For the codes to be effective, they need to be memorable. Shot, sharp and memorable.”6 mins Mary Beth talks us though the differences in PR ethics codes globally.“Another element of this white paper was to determine how old some of these codes are. There is a prominent code here in the US, which is a very good code. But it hasn't been updated in nearly 25 years.”9 mins What are the compliance gaps in global PR ethics currently?“Of the 24 ethics codes we evaluated, 20 of them had an order to comply with the code to be a member. Only 13 of the codes, however, say that they are enforced.” “Only 6 of the codes made it easy to submit an (ethics) complaint.”“Only 2 of the 24 codes offered whistleblower protection mechanism.”11 mins “Very few PR people have ever been prosecuted for anything related to their work. There are far more lawyers and accountants that run into those kinds of problems.”13 mins “Trust is fundamental to the career of a PR person. If you lose that trust, it is potentially career-ending.”14 mins To what extent does PR have an ethics problem?“I think we have a lot of ethics problems in this industry. When you look across the full scale of all of the different acres in which communication can be manipulated to mislead.”“There is a danger that the codes start to behave like a priest, that you must never say anything that is not 100% transparent. And I don't think that is possible.”“Ethics codes are not a silver bullet. If a public relations profess&

Today's message was preceded by the presentation of the Second Day of Advent - Peace. This was presented by Jean Wallace and Trevor Morris, with the lighting of the Peace candle. As we travel through the advent season, and come to the day that we commemorate Peace. We must ask ourselves, if Peace is a gift from God, what are we given peace from? The answer is a simple one - conflict. As unregenerate people, dead in our sins, we are at war with our very Creator. But God, in His infinite mercy rescues His children from the curse of sin and death, and changes us from enemy combatants to joint heirs with Christ Himself. Along the new journey, through our Sanctification, we will find that we are at war with so many other things, and people, and God will lead us through to the end. Join Pastor Jason as he lays out the journey of Christian from War with God, through War with People, and finally to Peace. News that Edelman has started working with the government of Saudi Arabia has reignited a debate around industry ethics. To discuss the issues, Beyond the Noise this week welcomes industry stalwart Trevor Morris, co-author of Public Relations Ethics: The Real-World Guide. Regular podcast host Frankie Oliver, founder of New Society, also gives her take, while PRWeek UK editor John Harrington asks the questions.PRWeek UK's Beyond the Noise podcast, which is published on alternate weeks, looks at some of the biggest issues affecting comms and PR. Download the podcast via Apple, Spotify or your favourite platform.Morris and Oliver disagree on several points this week. On the topic of whether working with a country like Saudi Arabia can be justified, Morris suggests it might depend on the brief - a road safety or tourism campaign for the Kingdom may be considered fairly benign, for example.Oliver takes a harder line. In reference to any campaign to improve the country's reputation, she says: "Just using the lipstick gloss of celebrity and travel to present a positive image of Saudi Arabia is, I think, questionable."Other issues are raised, including the fact many more agencies work with or in China, another country with a record of human rights violations, without widespread criticism."Why is Saudi worse than China?" asks Morris. We look at the reputational impact on the agencies, and on employee sentiment, of working with controversial clients. The podcast also asks: are some industries now too hot to handle from an ethical stance?Separately, the ethical questions around the recent 'cash for coverage' scandal are also put under the microscope. On a lighter note, we celebrate the Lionesses' major sporting and communications success at the Euros in Top of the Fortnight. The Echoes of Animism......Episode 101 is a long form chat with multi instrumentalist KATI RAN, using a variety of historical folk instruments she is part of what we could call the new-folk scene that's been growing across the world over the last decade. She's just worked on the soundtrack for the Netflix show VALHALLA, has released several of her own solo albums, worked with Gaahl, soundtracked games such as 'Vigor' and appeared with Myrkur, Folk Noir and worked with directors such as Nick Steinbuch and Trevor Morris!!Aside from all that this is a great chat about culture, mythology, history and how it echoes down through the ages, the search for spirituality, how come this new folk scene got so god damn big so soon! is it part of some deeper existential question of longing in the West?, and how it perfectly ties into the world of gaming, and growing up as a larping nerd and how all of this ties into the modern visual world!!!support the show over athttp://www.patreon.com/AlanAverillSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/agitators-anonymous-the-alan-averill-podcast. As we move into the season of Advent, leading us to the celebration of the birth of our Savior, Jesus the Christ, we again, follow the pattern of Advent, starting with "Hope". It can be very clearly seen that hope is lacking in our world today. We rush to put our hope in personalities, in experts, in science, in family, in friends, but placing our hope on anyone or anything other than Jesus is futile. Jesus, through His birth, life, death, and resurrection has afforded the opportunity for all mankind to have hope. Sadly, precious few will humble themselves, repent, and believe that Jesus is who He claimed to be. Join Pastor Jason as he walks through the scriptures to define "hope" and points directly to Jesus as the only true source of lasting, unwavering hope. As part of our Advent Season, the Hope candle and reading was done by Kathy Snyder and Trevor Morris. Nearly a year after everything changed because of COVID-19, Chuck Williams spoke to some of the restauranteurs that took the hardest hit.Trevor Morris and Stephanie Woodham have been fighting through all these challenges. They gave insight on the struggles of last year and the hopes for the future.Woodham is a partner in three downtown Columbus restaurants — Smoke Bourbon Grill, Black Cow and Vertigo Fusion Kitchen. She said her public relations degree from Auburn University prepared her for the COVID crisis.“This was very, very, very, very much a crisis,” she said. “In the restaurant industry, every industry. The whole world is in a crisis, clearly. I do believe my experience and my knowledge of crisis PR allowed me to accept it, plan for it and deal with it the best I could. …It was just pivot, pivot, pivot.”Morris, 36, has been working in the restaurant industry for 20 years. He has owned restaurants for the last eight years, including Trevioli Italian Kitchen and Trevioli's at The Rapids downtown.“This is all I know how to do,” he said. “There were days when it was like, ‘If this doesn't work out …' I took a job for a little while around Christmastime doing construction for a guy that I know. … It was for about six weeks. It was, ‘like when is the restaurant business going to come back?'”The Chuck Williams Show streams on WRBL.com every Tuesday, 7 p.m. EST.

Hello and welcome to this week's edition of the Green Room Golf Course Podcast. This week we're taking a look at one of the largest redevelopments of a golf course taking place anywhere in the country. The members at Whittington Heath could have been upset when it was announced that the HS2 railway would run directly through the centre of their golf course and Victorian clubhouse. Instead, they embraced the opportunity presented by the redevelopment and enlisted course architect Jonathan Gaunt to set about designing their new golf course. John Greasley has been brought in as constructors and Rain Bird is installing the irrigation. The club also hired Mark Fry, the former deputy head greenkeeper at Worplesdon in Surrey. Mark, 44, is tasked with maintaining the existing course during the disruption and growing in the new holes that have been constructed. Mark succeeded longstanding Whittington Heath greenkeeper Trevor Morris in June 2019. I stopped by for a conversation with Jonathan and Mark to find out more about what's taking place. I hope you enjoy the show. Podcast The Green Room Golf Course Podcast is produced by Karl Hansell on behalf of the British and International Golf Greenkeepers Association.

Trevor is a little on the shy side. He is quiet, composed and very uncomfortable in front of a group of people. Until he isn’t. Yes it comes out of you when you connect with others, when you help others with NO expectation. Magically you get 10 fold. So should you help others…of course. Should you help others with expecting nothing in return… OF COURSE! Think of the others that have helped you, that answered that question. When you asked “What can I do for you in return for your help?” and they answer: “Just do YOUR best!” Your best is just yours. Go and help others and see what happens in your life. Amazing, amazing group. This is a teacher. This is Gaye, she was a teacher. She is a teacher. Still. You need to learn. This is the type of environment you want to be in because she’s going to help you understand why, and I think that’s the hardest part of this business is understanding why. Why is the red one popular when the green one isn’t? Well, there’s usually a reason and what gay does is probably parse that better than anybody and she’ll explain the reasons for those things. I think that’s really powerful. Yes, she puts out a list. You’re going to get a good use of that list if you get in the group. Now here’s the deal. The group isn’t always open, right? So you get on the waiting list and you can join the waiting list through my link. Stephen: https://www.temi.com/editor/t/izeKjJFvHY8C9Ro1mzf5_irCGD0KQczra07eAcUiM_79ASu3W7V2LiJ08eMi0eLGdp3fRx6KHb_qm3EnN1uhR4JNn5E?loadFrom=DocumentDeeplink&ts=46.21 ([00:00:46]) I’m doesn’t cost anything to get on a waiting list and if you like her service, which I find that most people do that, that’s why there’s not so many openings. Um, you’ll be with her for a long time. And so it’s amazing freedom.com. She’s part of Andy Slam. It’s group, amazing freedom.com. Forward slash momentum. And you’re going to get in the waiting list. That’s all I can get you on right now. You can use my name and see if that gets you anywhere. But what I like about in the uh, what I like about what they teach in that group or the things that are going on, you know, the current things. I’ve seen a lot of stuff going on about stores going out of business. Well here’s where an opportunity is, here’s why you want to do this. Hey, be cautious about this, you know, with toys r US coming out, you’ve got to think about this and that’s the learning that you need to do. Stephen: https://www.temi.com/editor/t/izeKjJFvHY8C9Ro1mzf5_irCGD0KQczra07eAcUiM_79ASu3W7V2LiJ08eMi0eLGdp3fRx6KHb_qm3EnN1uhR4JNn5E?loadFrom=DocumentDeeplink&ts=90.18 ([00:01:30]) And Gay is better than anybody else I’ve seen. So I’m amazing. Freedom Dot com. Forward slash...
The boys have their second guest on the show, Monster Trevor Morris. Kip decided to immediately throw Paul under the bus about being butt hurt over getting his ass whooped by Trevor. Paul retaliated by mentioning the fact that while Trevor has lost a few cage fights he in fact is undefeated. This goes over like a lead balloon. Trevor talks about how he got involved in martial arts and his many fights over a relatively short period of time. Trevor talks about rolling with Kroyler in the gi. Also, he got his first stripe the fist time he put a gi on. We talk about having a full time job while you are trying to be a pro fighter and how it's silly to try and not have a job while you're fighting unless you're rich. Trevor talks about recovery after a workout and using Toast products. http://www.toastproducts.com/ It's like tiger balm on steroids apparently. Kip and Paul agreed to give it a try. Also, Paul talks about icy hot on his balls... Somehow the show ends up as the new food network while we talk all things food related. We also try and help Kipperdoodles with a new diet.

Emmy-winner Trevor Morris takes some time to discuss his latest projects including Vikings and Brick Mansions. We delve into the creative evolution Trevor's music has experienced over the course of Vikings' seasons and his approach for the show. We also discuss his score for Brick Mansions including what it's like composing a film score in a time-crunch with a two week timeframe. Trevor also shares how he handled the score differently knowing he was scoring one of Paul Walker's final performances, and what the process is like when you're scoring an actor's posthumous performance. Finally Trevor shares a bit about embarking on his next score for Michiel de Ruyter, and how he's going to travel to Europe to be on the set to help spark his creative process. And of course a little wine talk. Another fascinating interview with one of the most talented composers working today. Trevor Morris is a two-time Emmy winner and is also the most Emmy nominated composer of the past 2 years. Trevor has done amazing work across all mediums and has impressed with his work on The Tudors, The Borgias, The Pillars Of The Earth and most recently Vikings. On the film front Trevor gave us a taste of big action with Immortals and continues in a different realm this year with Antoine Fuqua's Olympus Has Fallen. We chat about his work on Vikings and Olympus Has Fallen, scoring different periods of history, the action genre, infusing emotion, working with Antoine Fuqua, his love of wine and so much more. Trevor has always been a favorite of mine over his career so it was a great pleasure and honor to once again have a chat with him. Sorry, kids… life sometimes gets in the way. Despite circumstances beyond our control interrupting our plans for a Planet of the Apes Trilogy show, we here at Unfunny Nerd Tangent refused to deny you guys an episode, so Episode 25 became an impromptu review of the Marvel Netflix series Iron Fist, with a preview of things to come in the forthcoming Defenders mini-series. So please enjoy our detour to K’un-Lun as we delve into what many critics saw as Marvel’s first serious misstep, while we speculate over exactly how these four TV-Avengers will come together to hopefully defeat The Hand once and for all. Hosted by: ‘Captain Boomerang’ Greig Tansley (@GreigT13). Featuring: ‘Taco Bell’ Tim Agne (@timagne) & ‘SuperJew’ Jared Robinovitz. Music by Nirvana & Trevor Morris.

The summer rolls on with a new episode where we start off talking about the weather and how that has affected Jason. Then we get to Jason's Magic TCG talk and his prep work for Grand Prix Indianapolis. After all the Magic talk we get into the video games with Madden 2016, Tokyo Mirage Sessions, some PlayStation VR demos, I Am Setsuna, Telltale's Batman, Fallout 4, No Man's Sky, Clash Royal, Dragon Age: Inquisition dlc, and Gems of War. Once we finish our Now Playing, we move over to the NPD numbers and our Top 10 Most Anticipated Upcoming Games. Also, I'd like to apologize for the odd audio crackling. I hope to have that fixed for next episode. Show Notes -------------------- Opening Song (A World Torn Asunder by: Trevor Morris)

After the travelling for about one week northward on the High Road, the caravan stops off at the Carnath Roadhouse. The PCs - Seren (Half-Elf Eldritch Knight), Lathandis (Wood Elf Cleric), Erzo (Drow Rogue) - have been retained as security guards for the trip. Reportedly, this roadhouse is a locale where road building supplies are unloaded for ongoing work currently being conducted by the High Road Charter Company. But observations by the PCs and NPC encounters hint that other activities are occurring clandestinely... likely related to the Cult of the Dragon Queen. Detta är del 3/3 i serien England - The Golden Age of Crime.

On this latest podcast, I talk to Multi-Emmy Award-Winning Composer, Trevor Morris, who has scored a huge array of music for TV, film and games. His film work has taken him from the heights of Mount Olympus in 'Immortals', to the White House in Gerard Butler's blockbuster 'Olympus Has Fallen'. His game work ranges from the hard driving action of EA's 'Need for Speed: Carbon', to a more sedate drive through 'Sim City', and into all out war in 'Command and Conquer'. His TV work has taken him through scifi, fantasy and horror with 'Alphas', 'Moonlight', and '666 Park Avenue', and all over historical Europe, with 'Vikings' (currently airing on LoveFilm), BBC's 'The Tudors', and Sky Atlantic's 'The Borgias'. From his studio in Santa Monica, Trevor's 'violent, yet elegant' work has made him the most Emmy-nominated composer in the last 2 years, and he's hoping to add to his current 4 Emmys and 2 Gemini Awards with his recent Emmy-nomination for the season finally of 'The Borgias'. In 2012,... See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
