Megyn Kelly is joined by Emily Jashinsky, host of "Undercurrents" on UnHerd, to discuss the botched release of the "Epstein Files," how Pam Bondi over-promised and under-delivered on the documents, how it left key MAGA influencers embarrassed, whether we'll ever get real information about Epstein's clients, Andrew Tate's return to the U.S., his history of disgusting comments and disturbing allegations against him, some on the right promoting him, Megyn's recent contentious interview with Ben Smith at the Semafor Summit, his condescending take about the show, the media's hypocrisy when it comes to a "gentlemen's agreement" to not attack others in the press, and more. Then Anna Khachiyan and Dasha Nekrasova, hosts of the Red Scare podcast, to discuss the heated exchange between Ukrainian President Zelensky and President Trump and VP Vance in the Oval Office, how this could affect the potential for peace in the region, the latest drama involving Elon Musk and his alleged baby's mom Ashley St. Clair, new messages that show she wanted to have Elon's "rocket babies," whether she's playing the victim now, the storylines ahead of the Oscars this weekend, how the "trans" Best Actress nominee has now been canceled over past posts, Monica Lewinsky's recent interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, her inability to move past the Bill Clinton scandal, and more.Jashinsky- https://www.youtube.com/@undercurrentsunherdRed Scare- https://redscarepodcast.com/Byrna: Go to https://Byrna.com/MEGYN to save 10%Grand Canyon University: https://GCU.eduBeeKeepers Naturals: Go to https://beekeepersnaturals.com/MEGYN or enter code MEGYN for 20% off your orderFollow The Megyn Kelly Show on all social platforms:YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/MegynKellyTwitter: http://Twitter.com/MegynKellyShowInstagram: http://Instagram.com/MegynKellyShowFacebook: http://Facebook.com/MegynKellyShow Find out more information at: https://www.devilmaycaremedia.com/megynkellyshow

My guest on the show today is Geoff Shullenberger, managing editor of Compact magazine and host of their Blame Theory podcast. Geoff emailed me a few months back, after a post of mine that touched on the the risks of hitching one's identity too thoroughly to hating on the left. What do I think, he asked, about the “post-left.”To which my answer was, “What's that?”That's the topic of much of this episode of the podcast. One answer comes from a piece on the phenomenon that Park MacDougald wrote a few years ago for Unherd. In it, he wrote:The core assertion of the post-Left is relatively simple: The real ruling class in America is the progressive oligarchy represented politically by the Democratic Party. The Democrats are the party of Silicon Valley, Wall Street, the Ivy League, the media, the upper layers of the national security state and federal bureaucracy, and of highly educated professionals in general. The Republicans, however loathsome, are largely a distraction — a tenuous alliance between a minority faction of the ruling class and petit bourgeois.… Although professing commitment to traditionally Left-wing goals such as anti-capitalism, the post-leftists are defined mostly by their aggressive hostility to both the Democratic Party and the radical Left — including the Democratic Socialists of America and the academic-literary Left of magazines such as Jacobin, n+1 and Dissent.Aside from Cryptofash, other leading lights include What's Left? co-hosts Aimee Terese and Oliver Bateman, editor of The Bellows Edwin Aponte, the Irish writer Angela Nagle and a coterie of pseudonymous Twitter accounts, such as @ghostofchristo1. Red Scare co-hosts Anna Khachiyan and Dasha Nekrasova might be considered fellow travellers. To put it another way, this was not the class-first, anti-woke internal critique that I think is more familiar to many us. It shares some DNA with that critique. Like that crew, the post-lefties thought identitarian politics were a fraud, a way for already elite actors to make themselves out to be tribunes of the people, to claim oppressed status in order to advance themselves. But unlike that class firsters, the post-lefties also thought the class first critique was a fraud too. It's all fraud all the way down, wholly disconnected from the vulnerable people it claims to represent, all a project of the elite for the elite. Geoff and I talk about the origins of this group, his own adjacency to it for a little while, the distinctions between the post-left and other post-something groups, including his own crew at Compact, the dangers of finding your identity in pure critique, and just in general the challenges of staying thoughtful in a politically chaotic time. Megyn Kelly begins the show by discussing the media lying about the facts in the police report regarding the Pete Hegseth sexual assault allegations, the holes in the accuser's story, the truth about why Hegseth was never charged, and more. Then Victor Davis Hanson, author of "The Case For Trump," join to discuss the key details the media is ignoring about the Pete Hegesth allegations, the truth about the facts in the police report, the hypocrisy about the sexual deviance and controversies of JFK, LBJ, Clinton, and more Democratic former presidents, the double standard when it comes to discussing Republicans, the truth about Trump and character questions, Laken Riley's killer being sentenced, the left framing about the illegal immigrant who murdered her, how the major threats of illegal immigration continue to be ignored, and more. Then Anna Khachiyan and Dasha Nekrasova, hosts of the Red Scare podcast, to discuss the massive shift in perception of radical trans ideology and its effect on the 2024 election, AOC and Katie Couric's out-of-touch response to Nancy Mace, how woke the elite establishment still is, if they will learn their lesson and start to appeal to most of the country, the difference between the woke Jaguar ad and the refreshing Volvo ad, Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough's sexist photo shoot from 2012, funny stories about Donald Trump, the absurd losers who hate him, the evolution of Megyn and Trump's relationship, fallout from Rachel Zegler's controversial post on Instagram alienating Trump voters, her egotistical past, what she and other actors are really like, and more.Hanson- https://www.amazon.com/Case-Trump-Victor-Davis-Hanson/dp/1541606434Red Scare- https://redscarepodcast.com/My Patriot Supply: https://PreparewithMegyn.comJust Thrive: Save 20% Sitewide at https://JustThriveHealth.com/Discount/Megyn or use code MEGYN at checkoutHome Title Lock: https://www.hometitlelock.com/MegynKelly Follow The Megyn Kelly Show on all social platforms:YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/MegynKellyTwitter: http://Twitter.com/MegynKellyShowInstagram: http://Instagram.com/MegynKellyShowFacebook: http://Facebook.com/MegynKellyShow Find out more information at: https://www.devilmaycaremedia.com/megynkellyshow

We're baaaaack! In the first GTAA episode of 2024, host Ben Burgis debates op-ed columnist Will Cooper, a liberal Democrat who nevertheless thinks that Ron DeSantis is more "competent" than Biden or Trump. Ben wrote a Jacobin article a while back responding to Will and arguing that this zany take is an extreme symptom of a much larger problem with mainstream technocratic liberalism. Caucus night in Iowa seemed like an excellent time to revisit the argument! Before that, we talk about Ben's run-in with Red Scare host Dasha Nekrasova and a few other interesting developments that happened while we've been off the air. At the end of the main show, Damage magazine editor Benjamin Fong talks about his fascinating new limited-series podcast on the history of the CIO. In today's joyous episode, we saunter into the loft apartment, take a draw on our gauloise, and glance icily into a world of bohemian hipsters living their best postmodern tradcath lives. Welcome to the irony-drenched world of 'Red Scare', a popular podcast hosted (sardonically) by Anna Khachiyan and Dasha Nekrasova. Also joining them in the episode we cover is hip writer and artist, Tao Lin, a pioneer in the alt-lit world. Get ready for hours of 'transgressive' insights, independent research, dorm-room philosophies and monotone delivery. Thrill at their 'edgy' humour, bespoke theories of autism, standard anti-vax bullshit, and all of the usual positions you find with postmodern conservatism. You will learn things like how Tao Lin diagnosed his cat with autism, how long each host was breastfed, why half of Americans will be non-verbal in 2050, how Trump's anti-vaccine conspiracies make him trustworthy, the best way to chug your bootleg raw milk, and that thick books are always full of reliable facts. When it is all brought together, although we might not have an episode that is lighting up the gurometer, we do have a rather contemporary melange of postmodern-conservatism, trad-cath lifehacks, new-age spirituality, anti-vax conspiracy theories, and irony-laced, not even bothered, posturing. So like... enjoy... or whatever...Also features a discussion of Elon Musk's latest grandiosity, some unexpected guru clashing, and confirmation that Chris and Matt are not cool enough to be invited to your next Bohemian soiree.LinksRed Scare: Crazy Autistic Asians w/ Tao LinElon Musk Interview with Andrew Ross SorkinJames Lindsay & Jonathan Pageau Tussle on Twitter and as usual Demons are involvedTao Lin's Essay The Story of Autism: How We Got Here, How We HealCatala-Lopez, F., Hutton, B., Page, M. The Scary of Sixty-First: Lucas loves it, but Jeff has some strong opinions about its writer/director Dasha Nekrasova. The 92nd episode of Make Your Own Damn Podcast discusses separating art from the artist, Rosemary's Baby and Repulsion, Eyes Wide Shut, anime girls, conspiracies, and the current push to make the Republican Party appeal to young voters. Weirdly enough, all of that is relevant to this strange slice of modern trash cinema.
https://www.patreon.com/DuhHeads@duhheads @izzyngriffin @pre_l0rdLet's get something straight off the bat, Adam Friedland made Dasha Nekrasova. Literally. Without Adam there is no Dasha. Adam's family has a long standing connection with the intelligence community. It's been theorized his father works for the CIA but nothing has ever been proven. What we do know is that Adam Friedland is not who he pretends to be. Dasha herself claims it was like she "didn't have a childhood" she literally didn't. she was grown and raised by nefarious elites for the purpose of subverting American leftism in the 2020 election. She first started gaining a Tumblr following while she was still living under the full control of these individuals. On her 25th birthday she was released into the wild streets of NYC and was left to her handler... a man many of you know as Adam Friedland.Let's talk about Adam. Nick talks about how Narcissistic Adam is all the time, but you never really see it, why? Adam is playing a character. The smartest most threatening people make themselves seem like as small of a threat as possible. Adam Friedland is one of the most cunning snakes you will ever meet. Adam has known ties to the Israeli and American intelligence communities. He trained in Israel with the Mossad for a year. He plays the weak pushover because its the perfect cover for who he truly is, the puppet master pulling the strings.Adam is what is known as a handler. He handles almost all of the Brooklyn podcasters. What does handle mean? He makes sure that they don't say anything too far out of line, as well as forcing them to do as the intelligence community asks of them. How does he do this? Well, usually he just asks nicely and they listen because he has significant blackmail on all of them. If he really has to he uses concoctions of drugs to make them more amiable to his suggestions. The most notable time Adam put someone on a cocktail was to force the disruption of Cumtown. Adam still controls Stavros to this day, but the intelligence community saw an opportunity to use him in a more visible manner so they ordered the end of Cumtown. To make this seem as organic as possible, and to keep Nick in the fold because he is a valuable asset, Adam fed Nick a cocktail and got him to convince Stavros to quit the podcast. Stavros felt betrayed by Nick because he told him that the podcast was ending to get him to quit, only to turn around and launch TAFS. Stav never wanted the podcast to end, Nick lied to him under the control of Adam.Adam and Dasha started publicly dating in 2018. This brought Dasha to relevance in the Brooklyn podcasting sphere, allowing her to launch Red Scare with Anna, one of the few uncontrolled people in the space. After Adam and Dasha "broke up" (they still bang to this day) Adam began feeding her a cocktail in order to control her actions and help disrupt the leftist movement leading up to 2020. The whole "dirt bag left" was a psyop to convince liberals that Bernie was too radical, and Adam was the man behind the curtain.Adam is now building his public profile via 'The Adam Friedland Show', they are going to get some ridiculously high profile guests in the not so distant future, and it definitely isn't because of Adam's charisma! His hopeless lack of charisma is a facade, although that isn't to say he's charismatic enough to be on television. His profile is building for a reason. He has a role to play in the coming events, as do all our favorite characters. But I think everyone should know who's the director and who's the cast. Things are never as they seem. Adam wants you to be a good audience member and follow his direction just like his cast. Don't look where he tells you. Look in the shadows and you'll find the truth.tldr - Adam Friedland has deep ties to the American and Israeli intelligence communities. He plays a weak pathetic character to conceal his identity as the handler

Sometimes some of the most frightful and dreadful stories happen in real life. We've seen it with such things as the riots in cities, the war in Ukraine, and the Jeffrey Epstein crimes. The latest film, THE SCARY OF SIXTY-FIRST (2022), takes the former and builds a tale around a horrific crime that shocked not only a city but the world. Noelle (Madeline Quinn) and Addie (Betsey Brown) find a new apartment in Manhattan that would be convenient for both their work and social life. When a mysterious woman (Dasha Nekrasova) appears, she tells Noelle how her new residence was a sex dungeon for some of Jeffrey Epstein's victims. While the woman and Noelle research the property, Addie begins to behave oddly until finally the three young women must face a possibly dark presence besides the apartments dark history. The movie stars two of the film makers. Dasha Nekrasova directs the movie while co-writing it with Madeline Quinn. Released on VOD through Shudder, the film originally played at festivals where it won some awards. The Dark Discussions co-hosts take a look at this independent film and give their thoughts.
Laura Mayo is back to discuss America's collective failure to understand the war in Ukraine. Dasha Nekrasova swaps Red Scare for Best Song Ever as she joins Charli XCX to talk about the best songs to cry to, party to, and why Oasis are better than The Beatles...
The boys watch "The Scary of Sixty-First" (2021), a horror film directed by Dasha Nekrasova and written by Dasha Nekrasova and Madeline Quinn.
To start off the new year we look back at some of our least favorite movies of 2021. From random nude scenes to major releases, we talk about the films that stood out to us for all the wrong reasons. We also review home invasion thriller SEE FOR ME. We start the year off with hot takes and disagreements. Do we reach a consensus on anything? We start the episode off with a talk about the upcoming Sundance Film Festival. It was announced that the in person portion of the fest has been cancelled. We discuss what that means going forward and how it may be a good thing. We also talk about horror remakes that we keep forgetting about. We start the year off with one of our most contentious movies in a while. See for Me is a home invasion movie with a twist. Skylar is a young blind woman that will not endear her to everyone. In one of our most divisive conversations, we all give our differing opinions on Skylar. We go over the importance of tension in this genre and compare abrasive lead characters from home invasion movies. The start of a new year is a great time to look back at what we did not like about the previous one. And there was a lot of horrible films to choose from. A film that is all about shock and Jeffrey Epstein? Check. Cosplayers making sure the plans for Nikola Tesla's secret weapon does not fall into the wrong hands? You got it. A reboot of a beloved horror favorite? That's here, too.Adventures in Movies! is a part of the Morbidly Beautiful Podcast Network. Morbidly Beautiful is your one stop shop for all your horror needs. We talked with Dasha about all this and so very much more...

Charles and Laura are joined by esteemed bestie and former Framework editor Carmencita, and catch Sydney's last screening of Dasha Nekrasova's debut feature The Scary of Sixty-First so you don't have to! Legs spread, they dive headfirst into post-web conspiracy, substance abuse, and resist possession by Jeffery Epstein in the grand tradition of Isabelle Adjani when she was in that tunnel in 1981. Listen to a world-first in-person recording of the trio as they attempt not to slur their words while asking, do we live in a global fedopillic culture? Who is Glenn Maxwell? Dasha Nekrasova is the director, co-writer and star of The Scary of Sixty-First, a horror story about two roommates (Madeline Quinn, Betsey Brown) who discover that their affordable new Manhattan apartment was previously owned by Jeffrey Epstein. She talks about Hollywood's "self-imposed code," why she kept the harsh language in, Epstein enabler Ghislaine Maxwell (played briefly in the film by Anna Khachiyan), and the wonderful name of her beleaguered Succession character, Comfrey Pellets. Hold onto your hats (and maybe play this podcast at half-speed) because Movie Squad hosts Tristan Fidler and Simon Miraudo wrap up the year in epic style with SIX reviews. First up, Tristan and Breakfast host/Tom Holland-superfan Taylah Strano look at the highly anticipated new Spidey-flick Spider-Man: No Way Home. Then, Simon settles in for the extremely confronting and provocative horror-comedy The Scary of Sixty-First from star-director Dasha Nekrasova. Tristan delivers his take on Wes Anderson's latest: the predictably particular and wry tribute to journalism, The French Dispatch. Simon and Tristan offer their critique of Paul Thomas Anderson's '70s-set comedy Licorice Pizza, starring Alana Haim (and the whole Haim family!) alongside Phillip Seymour Hoffman's son, Cooper Hoffman. They also deliver a review of The Worst Person in the World, from Norwegian auteur Joachim Trier, all about a woman turning 30 and wrestling with what she wants her life to look like. Finally, Tristan and Taylah deliver their whip-fast thoughts on Ghostbusters: Afterlife, director Jason Reitman's anticipated reboot/sequel to his father Ivan's 1984 original, starring Paul Rudd and Carrie Coon. Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Scary of Sixty-First and The French Dispatch are all in Australian cinemas now. Licorice Pizza and The Worst Person in the World open Boxing Day. Ghostbusters: Afterlife opens New Year's Day. Stay tuned for a special holiday treat from the Movie Squad crew in the coming weeks!
Whichever side of the curtain you're on we've got Red Scare podc-artist Dasha Nekrasova discussing her new feature The Scary of Sixty-First on MMM. She directed it, and plays the lead Jeffrey Epstein conspirator who drags some New Yorkers into a semi-supernatural possession problem - we're NOT saying Giallo - and in something of an obsessive poem about high profile baddies. In the interview we discuss the death of Queen E, making independent films, honoring Stanley Kubrick, on set health, cheeseburgers, and horror as feminist affect. Dasha is actually really sweet and not as scary as we thought she'd be. Please enjoy but also - trigger warning - we discuss some heavy topics so would like to warn listeners before they engage. The Scary of Sixty First hits cinemas nationally from December 16! Giallo. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Welcome to The Last Thing I Saw. I'm your host, Nicolas Rapold. Back in the spring, I watched The Scary of 61st through the Berlin film festival, where it had its world premiere. I had to watch it on my laptop, holed up at home, with pandemic anxiety in the air. Somehow the mood was appropriate for experiencing the film, which tells a wild story that's lurid, funny, unnerving, and often over the top. All of which is a good match for the frenzied state of its main characters: two roommates who unwittingly move into a New York apartment once owned by Jeffrey Epstein. They end up being haunted by the Epstein saga of human trafficking and unfathomable corruption. One roommate undergoes a kind of possession, and her friend becomes obsessed with the Epstein case, after a stranger comes knocking talking of conspiracy theories. The director of The Scary of 61st is Dasha Nekrasova. She also plays the strange visitor, opposite her co-writer, Madeline Quinn, and Betsey Brown. You probably know Dasha already from her co-hosting Red Scare, the enormously popular podcast. Our talk focused on what she's been watching during the pandemic, which tied in a little bit into The Scary of 61st. In that sense it's a fairly traditional episode of The Last Thing I Saw, leading off with a perhaps surprising choice of director of comfort movies. The Scary of 61st opens in New York on December 17, after a run on December 2 at Los Feliz 3 in L.A. She showed up smoking marlboro lights and talking about a ribbon store nearby. This was on west 38 street, where I'd rented, for 250 dollars, a studio for the recording sesh. My voice was ragged, frayed, like late period Dylan, on account of a cold I acquired in Greenpoint, at a play, and three classes a day on the Metamorphosis: I encouraged my students to notice patterns, the transformations within transformations, the repetition of the word deliverance--they drew dung-beetle dicks on the whiteboard, and, lost myself in the mutiny, I told them Gregor Samsa's sister was Greta Thunberg. Lauren and I had been waiting for her on a bench by a clothing store, which induced Lauren to tell me about Reformation, she called it slutty Anne Boleyn, but before the bench we'd gone to CVS to buy lauren an android charger and a big bag of ricolas for my ruined larynx. Oh and before the CVS we'd gotten coffee and croissants and salad from the Quotidian Pain. There were drilling, burrowing sounds coming from somewhere adjacent to quotidian pain, and so I couldn't talk at all, couldn't even try to talk over them, so I tried to read about Karl Ove, I mean read his book, the coat sliding off a hanger, his dad's fingerprints, dead, on a teapot, and she said she'd done the reading, our guest---Dasha--she said she was a speed reader; but, after I'd sent her the PDF and the page numbers--labeled DASHA START HERE on page 417, in my stunted hieroglyphic--and after I'd reminded her of where to meet, at Gotham Studios on w 38st, she'd said that today's section--the final part of book 1--was a “a bit of a bore.” But then she was in the thrum of glamor, premieres and screenings and writers rooms, and so perhaps she couldn't attend to the subtleties or whatever of the text, which was fine with me, since it was coup just to get her here, just to watch her walk up to us on west 38 st and to listen to her tell us about ribbons and the nearest brasserie, what was the difference anyway between a bistro and a brasserie, and I knew the episode would be a tedious success when, once we got recording, on the 10th floor, she launched into her day: rotten bananas, red smoothies, Equinox. There was perhaps even a kind of sleepy glamour to her mundanity, and her itemization (such as it was) almost redeemed my sandblasted tonsils and the wallet I'd lost, for a spell, at Metrograph, which I would tell her about, later, at Match 86, after a cucumber martini; redeemed Lauren's spasming shoulder and migraines, too. Dasha redeemed most of literature herself-- “all books are basically good,” she said. Then we took a cab in the rain to the bisto or was it a brasserie and we ate pate and tartare and escargot, doused in parsley sauce, and outside, after, we smoked American Spirit Yellows. I can hardly speak, there's nothing more to say, though, I think. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ourstrugglepod/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/ourstrugglepod/support
