In this episode of The Body GrieversⓇ Club, Bri shares how receiving five perfectly fitting gowns from Sydney's Closet sparked a corrective experience that contrasted with her 2007 prom season, when a dream dress wouldn't zip and intensified shame, restriction, and a fixation on weight loss that later contributed to pursuing bariatric surgery. She reflects on being pre-diabetic at 16, the discouragement of dieting and being blamed for "not doing it right," and how clothes not fitting became a lasting scar tied to dating, food anxiety, and self-worth. As an eating-disorder-trained clinician with lived experience, Bri names anti-fat bias as stronger than capitalism, grieves exclusion and lack of choice in fashion, critiques the weight-loss-as-health narrative, and describes her current life at 35 as fat, healthier, and free from food obsession, while still navigating structural inaccessibility. 01:58 Flashback to 2007 02:53 Diet Plan and Pressure 05:16 The Prom Dress Dream 06:57 Prom Night Breakdown 09:37 Aftermath and Lasting Scar 11:09 Privilege of Choice 12:22 Sad Truths About Fashion 15:06 When Weight Loss Fails 17:09 Bigger Than Clothes 21:18 Healing Beyond the Scale 23:08 Letter to My 16 Year Old Self 26:11 You Are Worthy EPISODE RESOURCES: Stunning gowns designed exclusively for plus sizes at https://sydneyscloset.com/ WANT MORE OF BRI? *Instagram: @bodyimagewithbri *Website: https://bodyimagewithbri.com/ *Bri's Free Resource: 7-Step Guide to Shift Body Grief to Radical Body Acceptance https://www.bodyimagewithbri.com/seven-steps
FLASHBACK! Due perhaps to the passage of time, poorly handled reprinting by DC, or some other reason, Alan Moore's writing stint on Swamp Thing in the 1980s does not seem to get mentioned much today. Which is a shame, because it ranks with Moore's best work. And the art by Stephen Bissette and John Totleben … Continue reading #325 Alan Moore's “Swamp Thing”

In this flashback episode of Builder Funnel Radio, Spencer Powell answers one of the most common questions we hear from remodelers and custom builders: when should you redesign your website — and when shouldn't you? Too often, companies jump into a redesign without a clear strategy, even though their site may be attracting the wrong projects, failing to build trust with ideal clients, loading too slowly, or lacking the marketing and tracking capabilities needed to drive revenue. Spencer walks through a practical framework to evaluate whether your website's design, photography, copy, platform, speed, SEO, and conversion tools are truly aligned with your ideal audience and business goals.

A full-on WFAN time machine. Evan and Greg Gianforte dig up 17-year-old audio from their days doing live “stringer updates” at a Lakers-Rockets Game 7 in Los Angeles. From overly dramatic stat reads to awkward transitions back to the studio, the guys relive the glory and the cringe of their early reporting days at Staples Center. Who sounded more polished? Who rambled? The self-scouting is ruthless. After the laughs, they pivot back to Mets baseball and make a bold prediction: when the season ends, Brett Baty may have logged the most innings at first base. What began as a Jorge Polanco assumption has completely shifted, and the reasoning behind the change says a lot about how this roster is evolving.

Here in the US, 1 out of every 3 women have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner. My guest in this episode is Alyssa. She WAS that 1 out of 3. This is a Flashback episode. Alyssa told this story on the podcast way back in episode 16, more than 7 years ago. Unfortunately, as sometimes happens, I was not able to get in touch with her recently for an update. Alyssa lives in Tennessee and she's really into music. She's a musician, a songwriter, and an audio engineer. Her boyfriend, Jared, was abusive to her - emotionally and physically – and police were actively planning to arrest him. But before that could happen, Jared decided he would take his own life. And he wanted to do it in a way that would be disturbing and traumatic for anyone nearby.
This Friday episode begins with an apology from Andy after a missed opportunity to discuss Kevin Roy (and his dad, Patrick) as part of our preview of The Cognizant Classic. Brendan moves things along to an early check-in at the South African Open where George Coetzee withdrew after a poor start, ending his run in this week's Game Within a Game. Another Game Within a Game participant is Ernie Els, who Andy claimed "looked a little husky" on the range. This Ernie discussion ushers in a brand-new Champions Tour Minute after Andy and PJ heard from a well-placed source that the "next big thing" on the senior circuit is not Tiger Woods or Zach Johnson, but another 50-year-old waiting to make his debut. The bulk of this episode focuses on some comments from pre-tournament press conferences at The Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches. Shane Lowry believes that the overseed course setup by the Tour's Championship Management has dramatically altered this event from a tough test to now something that looks green on television. Billy Horschel tried to shift the blame off the Tour and to the resort at PGA National, but Andy and Brendan aren't giving them the benefit of the doubt. This issue with the setups is even further exemplified at this week's KFT event at the Jockey Club, with Andy saying that the Tour has "completely ruined so many places." Ryan Gerard, the betting favorite at this event, also had some things to say before he teed off. Gerard has been a focus of the Tour's marketing efforts this week and Brendan thinks this can be a model for future "PGA-B" events potentially making stars. Gerard shared a story about playing with Scottie Scheffler and how Scottie manages to bridge the gap between clubs by playing a high-launching shot. Gerard has been chasing that shot and believes he has it, hoping that it'll lead to success at the majors this year. Brendan then shares a Flashback Friday segment on the 1991 Honda Classic, won by Steve Pate. This story has it all, including a legendary overclub challenge by Paul Azinger and a scorekeeper finding a lost ball. A listener request unlocks one of the most painful (and unforgettable) moments in New York sports radio history. Evan and Tiki rewind to November 2, 2015, when a brutal trifecta of losses rocked the city: the Mets falling in the World Series, the Giants losing to the Saints, and the Jets getting torched by the Raiders. Producer Dov Kramer stitched those defeats together with U2's “Sunday Bloody Sunday” to create a haunting open… and Joe Benigno absolutely LOST IT on air. Relive the raw frustration, the dark humor, the instant classic radio meltdown, and the wounds that still haven't fully healed for Mets, Giants, and Jets fans. Plus, the guys react to the fallout, revisit the chaos of that weekend, and debate whether painful memories like this are part of what makes being a New York fan unforgettable. A true Fan Flashback packed with misery, nostalgia, and legendary radio moments.

Powerful message from Secretary of State Marco Rubio for Europe over the weekend. Hillary Clinton and AOC teamed up to deliver a disastrous double act at the Munich Security Conference, turning what should have been a showcase of American resolve into a bitter anti-Trump therapy session that exposed their outdated liberal agendas. Clinton got thoroughly schooled by a Czech leader on Ukraine and Trump policies, coming off as a divisive relic interrupting and mocking allies while admitting migration "went too far" in a desperate bid for relevance. Meanwhile, AOC fumbled a simple question on defending Taiwan against China with hesitant word salad, all while peddling her socialist spin on foreign policy tying authoritarianism to income inequality—proving both are unfit to represent a strong, united America in the future.
