1 hour and 48 minutes The Sponsors Thank you to Underground Printing for making this all possible. Rishi and Ryan have been our biggest supporters from the beginning. Check out their wide selection of officially licensed Michigan fan gear at their 3 store locations in Ann Arbor or learn about their custom apparel business at undergroundshirts.com. Our associate sponsors are: Peak Wealth Management, Matt Demorest - Realtor and Lender, Ann Arbor Elder Law, Michigan Law Grad, Human Element, Sharon's Heating & Air Conditioning, The Sklars Brothers, Champions Circle, Winewood Organics, Community Pest Solutions, Venue by 4M where record this, and Introducing this season: Radecki Oral Surgery, and Long Road Distillers. 1. Transfer Portal - Offense Starts at :51 Never doubt the law of conservation of vibes. The Penn State basketball game saved the offensive line. This was recorded on Sunday at noon so by the time you listen to this, things have probably already changed (hello, Jaime Ffrench). It would be nice to get a backup QB in the portal (hello Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi). Justice Haynes has hit the portal, might be going to Georgia Tech, and Oklahoma RB Taylor Tatum is in. So far he's struggled with fumbles and a hamstring injury but Oklahoma's RB coach is one of the worst in P4. He might be a Moneyball situation. Kuzdzal might be coming back? Jaime F-f-f-french is in and if JJ Buchanan joins then we have an actual wide receiver room. Still need a tight end? Offensive line got their guys back, we're un-mad now. Need some depth at center, though.  [The rest of the writeup and the player after THE JUMP]  2. Transfer Portal - Defense Starts at 27:11 Not as sunny as the offense right now but it can change at any time. How we feel so far depends on the status of John Henry Daley's Achilles, he could be a Derrick Moore comparison if healthy. Defensive end looks pretty set. Defensive tackle... they get Pierce back. They do get Jonah Lea'ea from Utah who was a bit undersized and needed another year to develop. Enow Etta's return has turned from optimism to pessimism. Hopefully Alister Vallejo is ready as a freshman. At linebacker Rasheem Biles is off the board, they are hosting Cade Uluave from Cal, an all-ACC linebacker. Jimmy Rolder has declared for the draft and is #692 on the NFL Mock Draft database. The secondary isn't entirely in the portal but it's alarming, safety is now a concern. Surely we'll find out more about safety this week because you can't go into a season with three safeties. Per Trevor McCue, Jay Hill doesn't rotate the secondary at all! Kerry Coombs got his guys for special teams, they've got a kicker from Pitt, Trey Butkowski. This offense could be really good and not need to rely on a kicker who can hit field goals from the 37. Overall, get in a safety or two and ideally a good defensive tackle and this team is really close to being very competitive. When's the last time the offense was better than the defense, 2011?  3. Hot Takes and Basketball vs Penn State and Wisconsin Starts at 1:05:25 Takes hotter than Wisconsin three point shooting. Basketball is no longer invincible. This must feel the same as when Matt Painter had to play Mo Wagner. Michigan got out-rebounded pretty badly which feels like a major failing given the line-up. They need to play a little dirtier in the paint. Michigan and Wisconsin were shooting back-to-back threes until Michigan fell off. The offensive goal-tending ruling was the rule. Wisconsin doesn't send many guys to the offensive board, they tend to get back and trying to get transition baskets isn't worth it. A key for Michigan going forward is how stretch is everyone's five? Wisconsin shot 12 points higher than their expected for the number of threes they shot.  4. Hockey vs Notre Dame Starts at 1:28:57 Michigan escapes a bad Notre Dame team but loses goalie Jack Ivankovic for "some period of time" (possibly the season). The hit was unfortunate but probably not malicious. There are strong words said about these officials. Naurato has said in his press conferences that "I can't say what I want to say." Big Ten hockey is one of the best leagues in the world and the Big Ten treats it like the 4th most important sport. Freshman goalie Stephen Peck is now your starter. The defense needs to step way up to support their new goalie. If the season ended today they'd still be the number one seed in the tournament, though. Part of that is because of Ivankovic.  MUSIC: "One Tiny Flower"— Jeff Tweedy "Don't Do Me Like That"— J. Mascis "Falling Behind"— Laufey “Across 110th Street”—JJ Johnson and his Orchestra

Then they assemble in the liminal theater, where they're each dragged medically by Stella and her brigade of mute actresses. A final confrontation of the Group v. Send us a textGUEST: LIZ COLLIN, Journalist for Alpha NewsThe Christian Worldview has been broadcasting from the Minneapolis area of Minnesota for over 20 years. The city and state were once known for its natural resources, the forested and agricultural regions and “10,000 lakes,” along with its citizens being mostly descendants of Scandinavian countries with a cultural ethos known as “Minnesota Nice.”While there has always been a significant conservative and Christian presence in Minnesota (Billy Graham's ministry was once based here and pastor John Piper is from Minneapolis), the state has leaned liberal for half a century. For example, Ronald Reagan won 49 of 50 states in the 1984 presidential election—you can probably guess the state he didn't.In the last 20 years or so, Minnesota has moved from liberal to radically left. It has declared itself a “sanctuary state” for abortion and transgender mutilation surgeries and treatments. It is known for high taxes to fund liberal welfare policies and immigrants from third world nations like Somalia. It gained international notoriety for the death of George Floyd while in the custody of Minneapolis police officers and the resulting burning of the city by rioters. It is led by far left politicians like Governor Tim Walz, Attorney General Keith Ellison, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey, and many more with the same worldview.Just recently, Minneapolis again became the flashpoint of the biggest national news story after a 23-year-old independent journalist from Utah named Nick Shirley came to town on the tip that the Somali Muslim immigrant community, of which there are an estimated 100,000 in the state, are operating the largest scale welfare fraud in history by setting up fake child daycare centers, nutrition and autism services, transportation services, amongst other things, and then billing the state for services that weren't rendered to the tune of an estimated $9 billion. This funded not just lavish lifestyles but Islamic jihadists in Somalia and potentially the Democrat Party. As the enormity of the fraud story was being exposed, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers entered Minnesota to find and deport illegal immigrants. Not surprisingly, leftist protesters interfered with ICE agents, with one protester being killed after she used her vehicle to block ICE vehicles and then drove toward an officer who shot her dead. Major protests from the left across the country are ongoing.Liz Collin, a Minnesota native and multi-Emmy-Award-winning investigative reporter for Alpha News, joins us this weekend on The Christian Worldview to discuss what is taking place in Minnesota and how it is a critical warning for the rest of the country when leftism and Islamic immigrants hold power.

For a two-part podcast series, I've been speaking with Ayush Gupta from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Kuntal Sen from Children's National Hospital in Washington DC about the monogenic disorders that mimic neuroinflammatory disease that are lurking in all of our clinics just waiting to be diagnosed. Ayush, for the minute, when you're seeing a patient with a presumed autoimmune encephalitis or demyelinating disease, what single cluster of features should instead most strongly push us to think of monogenic mimics at the top of our differential? Dr. Ayush Gupta: So when you are seeing a patient with presumed autoimmune encephalitis or a demyelinating disorder, cluster of features such as earlier onset in terms of age, developmental delays, CSF or imaging finding that's non-concordant with the diagnosis such as a non-inflammatory CSF, a symmetric white matter or deep gray matter involvement and relentless progression despite immunotherapy, these are the red flags where you should stop, seriously consider the possibility of a monogenic disorder and reach out to help from colleagues. Dr. Stacey Clardy: That's a great list, and we get into far more detail in the two-part podcast series. So please listen to both of those and take a read of the neurology genetics review titled Monogenic Mimics of Neuroinflammatory Phenotypes in Children and Young Adults: An Evolving Landscape.

In this episode, we go beyond the sanitized headlines and Netflix documentaries to examine the Ted Bundy case you were never supposed to know about, including the suppressed files, the buried reports, and the institutional failures that allowed one of America's most prolific serial killers to operate for years longer than he ever should have.We begin with Bundy's troubled origins at the Elizabeth Lund Home for Unwed Mothers, his violent grandfather Samuel Cowell, his grandmother's severe mental illness and electroconvulsive treatments, the family secret that made him believe his mother was his sister, and the chilling incident where three-year-old Ted placed butcher knives around his sleeping aunt's body while smiling. We examine the haunting case of eight-year-old Ann Marie Burr, who vanished from her Tacoma home in 1961 when Bundy was just fourteen years old and lived less than two miles away with a paper route through her neighborhood, and we discuss why the 2011 request to compare Bundy's DNA to evidence from that case was denied because his biological samples had been destroyed. We explore Bundy's work at the Seattle Crisis Clinic from 1971 to 1974, where he sat beside future true crime author Ann Rule taking calls from suicidal individuals while perfecting the manipulation techniques he would later use to lure women to their deaths, and we reveal his own admission that he learned how to sound caring even when he wasn't.We dive deep into the mathematics of murder and why the official victim count of thirty to thirty-six is almost certainly a fraction of the real total, with some investigators estimating the true number could exceed one hundred, and we examine the lost years between 1969 and 1973 when Bundy traveled extensively and left virtually no documented trail while young women matching his victim profile disappeared along the East Coast. We expose the systematic failures that allowed Bundy to keep killing, including Elizabeth Kloepfer's five separate reports to law enforcement that were ignored because detectives dismissed her as a hysterical woman, the nine months it took Utah authorities to arrest him after Carol DaRonch escaped his car with a handcuff still attached to her wrist, and the cross-jurisdictional catastrophe where police departments in four states refused to share information with each other. We reveal the truth behind both escapes, including the suspected accomplice inside the Aspen courthouse whose personnel file conveniently disappeared, the 1976 jail inspection report that identified the exact security weakness Bundy exploited in Glenwood Springs, and the fifteen-hour head start he received because holiday weekend staffing cuts reduced cell checks from hourly to every other hour.We uncover Bundy's carefully buried political career as a rising star in the Republican Party, his work on the Rockefeller presidential campaign, his security clearance to serve as a driver and bodyguard for Governor Daniel Evans, and how the party quietly scrubbed his employment records from their archives after his arrest. We examine what the jury never heard about the Chi Omega massacre, including how the bite mark evidence almost didn't exist because the attending physician failed to photograph the marks before they faded, the discrepancy in Nita Neary's eyewitness account that the defense never challenged, and the troubling theory that Kimberly Leach wasn't an aberration but a return to Bundy's true preference for younger victims. We analyze the death row interviews and the information Bundy provided about dump sites and victims that was never followed up by law enforcement, his manipulation of the Green River Killer investigation for his own benefit, and how his final interview with James Dobson blaming pornography contradicted everything he'd told forensic psychiatrists for years. We discuss the mystery of Carole Ann Boone's pregnancy on death row and the evidence that guards were bribed to allow physical contact during visits, the discredited science of bite mark analysis that formed the foundation of his Chi Omega conviction, and why the destruction of Bundy's DNA samples has prevented closure for families across the country whose daughters disappeared during the years he was active. We close with the questions that remain unanswered, the dump sites that were never searched due to budget cuts and political pressure, the hitchhiker victims along Interstate Five that were never officially linked to him, and the uncomfortable truth that many of the same institutional failures that allowed Bundy to kill for years still exist in our law enforcement system today. This episode contains discussions of violence, sexual assault, and crimes against children that some listeners may find disturbing.

In the first long-form episode of 2026, host Trevor Hall welcomes Steve Enders and Jasper Bertisen to discuss why mining investments frequently succeed or fail based on people rather than just geology. The guests elaborate on their research paper, which found that nearly 98% of surveyed investors agree that management quality is the dominant variable in driving portfolio outcomes, especially during difficult times. They identify two major red flags: a misalignment of skills for a specific strategy and ego-driven behaviors that surface when teams face stressors like CAPEX overruns or jurisdictional issues. To move beyond "gut feel," the discussion highlights objective tools like blind referencing and psychometric testing, which help investors identify if a team lacks diversity of thought or resists transparency. Steve and Jasper warn that while high metal prices can mask management "sins" much like high-grade ore does, investors must remain vigilant to avoid inefficiencies that are only exposed once the cycle turns. What's up, elk hunters! This week I'm sitting down with Jace Guymon, and holy crap—talk about a banner year. This guy drew a Nevada late rifle tag AND a Utah late archery tag in the same season, with hunt dates less than a week apart. Yeah, you read that right. Jace takes us through the entire journey of crushing a 394" bull on his Nevada hunt opening morning, then immediately pivoting to Utah where he arrows a massive late-season giant. We're talking about hunting two of the most coveted elk tags in the West back-to-back, and somehow making it all come together. What I love about this episode is how raw and honest Jace is about the process. He'd never even been to Nevada before, had minimal scouting time because of his guiding schedule, and still managed to execute on both hunts. We dive deep into his e-scouting strategy, why he focuses on covering massive amounts of country from glassing knobs, and how being aggressive—like actually jogging to close the distance on bulls—has been the key to his success. We also get into some real tactical stuff about late-season elk hunting: why north-facing slopes matter more than you think, how to move through crunchy snow without spooking bulls, and why patience behind the glass is non-negotiable this time of year. Plus, Jace drops some truth bombs about physical fitness and why most hunters aren't aggressive enough when it matters. Whether you're chasing premium tags or just trying to become a better late-season elk hunter, this episode is packed with actionable advice from a guy who's been guiding for years and knows how to close the deal when the pressure's on. Let's get into it. Episode Sponsors Tricer Tripods - Fast, light, and simple—that's what Tricer is all about. Most hunters wait too long to make a move, trying to let situations "develop" when they should be jogging uphill to close distance. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take, and even a 2% chance of success is better than watching a bull walk away at dark. The difference between successful guides and struggling clients often comes down to one thing: guides move FAST when it's time to move. North-Facing Slopes Are Critical for Late Season Bulls - While everyone focuses on south-facing slopes for feeding, mature bulls in late season are often bedded on north slopes where they can stay cool in their thick winter coats. Jace actually prioritizes glassing north-facing slopes because bulls will be bedded in cover there, whereas south slopes are easier to scan quickly. Look for trails leading over ridgelines to north-facing timber—that's where the big bulls are hiding. Patience Behind the Glass Will Outperform Covering Ground - Late season success comes down to being comfortable sitting on a glassing knob for 4+ hours straight. Bulls bedded in junipers disappear completely—you can scan right over a 400" bull for 45 minutes until he finally stands up. The difference between 0% success units and killing giants often isn't location or fitness—it's the willingness to sit and actually GLASS rather than covering ground. Pick big vantage points where you can see maximum country and commit to them.

He also talks about the importance of being loud so that you can get more opportunities. Clint Buffington is a hunter. He hauls his trophies back to his lab, covers himself in PPE and studies each specimen with pathological scrutiny. However, Clint is not the sort of hunter you might think. Based in Utah USA, the self-titled 'Message In a Bottle Hunter', Clint hunts for bottles on beaches all over the world.

Thing Discussed: Most excited about the hire: there are adults in the room. Spent 20+ coaching in one place with no scandals. Impressed that they stabilized the program so quickly. Portal recruiting happens in December; they're playing from behind because IU was setting up all of these visits weeks ago. Notice they're getting special teams guys because Coombs was already in his job. Whittingham as Crisler (Brian: [moans]), as an established outsider who locked down Harmon to survive the transition. That was the end of the Yost Cycle, and likewise this is the end of the Bo Cycle. What happens next? How does he develop ways to take advantage of Michigan's place in the new world. Money allocation is a big conversation going forward. Indiana puts all of its resources into the portal, Michigan will pay a NOB and also pay a Rolder. New offense: Not a whole lot different under Harbaugh? Utah fans: "get ready to run QB Power!"...okay! "Tell your TEs to prepare to be blockers." Sure. "Don't expect any Seth: More Urban Meyer approach where it's about efficiency more than explosives. Loaded at OL, have great RBs. Main feature of Beck is he plays a "tight end" who's really a receiver. Brian points out JJ Buchanan is 6'3"/225 and only played five snaps inline—that's just a wide receiver. Point is they're way more spread than people realize. In Break: Ryan Mallett (RIP). Craig says Lloyd tried to broker a conference with Mallett's dad and Rich Rod, neither side was interested. Jay Hill: Has the bona fides, knows where the hashes are, made Weber State a power. Schematically, going back to more of a Cover-1 look. Notre Dame defense is similar, also a lot like the Ryan Walters stuff where they turn their 4-2 into a 5-1 regularly. Really wanted to keep Cole Sullivan (as a WLB who can DE or S) and Jordan Young (as a nickel who can S or CB) for this system. Think Jyaire or Shamari would be good in that nickel role. Biggest hurdle for this staff? Probably learning how to recruit as Michigan instead of Utah.
