Larissa created the nationally recognized trilogy of community engaged theatrical experiences with Cornerstone Theater Company; Urban Rez, Native Nation, and Wicoun. She and her collaborator, Michael John Garcés, spend years on each project in an Indigenized community engagement process. “The engagement itself is the art form.” These projects have earned them national funding and an appointment to Arizona State University. Larissa's company with Ty Defoe, Indigenous Direction, recently produced the first land acknowledgement on national television for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on NBC and continues to consult for them. They also consult for the largest theater organizations in the country. Larissa also writes in film and television, most recently as a creator for NBC, Disney Channel, Dreamworks, Muse, Netflix and others. She is based in Los Angeles with her husband, the sculptor Edd Hogan, and represented by Jonathan Mills at Paradigm NY. She is especially honored to follow in the footsteps of the last known Native American playwright on Broadway, Lynn Riggs. Tired? Exhausted? Burnt Out? Low energy levels are one of the most frustrating issues high-performers face, Spinning so many plates and ‘doing more' is necessary but demanding. Without effective strategies in place, we can't generate the energy we need to follow through on what's important to us. You're not alone if you feel like you're constantly plugging power leaks and struggling to keep your head above water whilst striving for more. But it doesn't have to be this way, In fact, we can generate more energy in any moment and can channel it to last, so you can show up full of vitality when it counts. On today's podcast we're sharing a special keynote. Our speaker is no stranger to burnout, exhaustion and chronic pain. And he's no stranger to you, as it's our very own, Jonathan Mills. Jonathan is the Co-Founder of The Wellness Theory and has been specialising in pain-free and abundant health since 2001. With a strong background in health and fitness, his passion and expertise lies within breath-work, quantum-flow, health and embodiment. He's learned the hard way, that you cannot always rely on what you hear and see, which is why he's an advocate for high quality transformation and meeting people where they need to be met, whether that be an individual or an organisation. He is the first to admit he used to be very ego-driven and very aggressive in his approach to life, which made both professional and personal life a challenge. He was constantly stressed, angry and tired, but Jonathan knew life had more to offer. He went inward and got to the root cause of the challenges he was facing - mentally, emotionally and physically. Now he thrives by following his highest excitements and helping others to do the same whilst always leaving people better than he found them. Jonathan learned that energy is one of the most powerful currencies that exists and if you truly want to experience optimum health and vitality, then it's a must for mastery. In this episode you'll find out how to energise your life to make a difference for those you love. Imagine what your life would be like if you lived in your fullest, with an uncapped source of energy. How would it affect your family, friends and colleagues? How would you feel within yourself? How would your life improve? Find out in this episode, Much love and wellness, Charlotte and Jonathan www.thewellnesstheory.com P.S. He shares his thoughts on the importance of trust in leadership and how any leaders first job is to set clear expectations and hold their team members to account. Self awareness - knowing your strengths and weakness and surrounding yourself with people who are better than you 2. Integrity is key 3. Seeing the bigger picture and being able to see opportunities disguised as challenges 4. Ultimately doing your best and knowing that, that is enough. No doubt you've been on the receiving end of ‘how to” blogs and videos that list 101 things to do to relieve stress, like…. Breathe Meditate Journal Move Eat well Surround yourself with the ‘right' people Reduce screen time Take supplements Hydrate Spend time in nature • …The list goes on. Heck, we even recommend these things because they are effective and extremely powerful. But we've found that most people are too busy or unable to devote to all these lifestyle changes immediately – which is understandable given everything else we have going on in our lives. So, we have to make sure we get the most bang for our buck when it comes to where we're spending our time and energy. It's important to choose what gives us the highest return for our efforts. And today we're deep diving into one simple practice that'll help you to reduce stress – instantly. Don't worry, it's not a magic pill. We still don't believe in ‘quick fixes' here at Wellness Theory. But the route to lasting change requires us to practice what works. In this weeks podcast episode you'll discover: How to Reduce Stress in One Easy Practice Why this practice works more effectively than most traditional methods The importance of reconnecting with the body for health and vitality 7 powerful stages of this practice that: - Helps you to sleep soundly at night - Influences your ability to make healthy decisions when it comes to food and drink. - Improves the quality of your thinking - Balances emotions - Boosts energy levels - And leaves you motivated and align to act on what you want in life. Enjoy this episode Much love and wellness, Charlotte & Jonathan

We talk about the belt, sleep, nutrition, diet, stress, work, the whole nine, and this conversation is one of the first of many in-depth discussions that we're going to be having not with me in them particularly, but on the show about health. I will teach you about business, health, fitness, wealth, and wellness as we go forward. I'm going to teach you about trauma, I'm gonna teach you literally about everything that has helped me have my life be what it is today. Because I thought to myself, you know, there's a lot of shows that exist that only talk about trauma. I don't want to pigeonhole myself into that. The reason is that I know how important the vast array of all the information is in the human experience and if it were not for me, having mentors and all of these different areas wouldn't be where I am. In this episode, the first of a six part series on the history of shipwrecks, we look at one of the most famous shipwrecks of the 19th century. In 1816 a French frigate called the Medusa, through the poor leadership of its captain, struck a sandbank in route the Senegal. Without enough lifeboats, 147 passengers were put on a makeshift raft that was soon cut loose while the rest of the passengers fled. Left floating for almost two weeks, the raft of the Medusa became a tale of the terrible cost of survival and had ramifications through France's political world, and inspired one of the world's most famous paintings. Speaker 1: 00:01 The project lit lit. Hey everybody. Welcome to this episode of the project and in today's episode I'm sitting down with Jonathan Mills, creator of Rehab Revolution. The guy like dropped some serious knowledge bombs in this episode. I mean if you are an aspiring trainer and an aspiring online coach or want to learn more about the fitness industry, listen to what this guy has to say. He also points out some of the pitfalls that we might fall into. Well, looking into I'd say educational certifications. He completely changed my mind when I looked at accrediting bodies. We get into a little bit of a debate midway through it and again, it's such a good episode for everybody. New and old trainers. Give it a listen and again if you have any questions, dms or shoot us an email. All this and more today's episode. Hey guys,e course is all about. I want to see what legitimacy it has to it. And they're like, no, it's just signed by our head trainer. I'm like, who is your head trainer? What was he accredited by? What's his background? Just as a coach for 15 years?Speaker 2: 05:25 Yes. Some of the best coaches and some of the best trainers out there have zero certificates. You know what I mean? It's Kinda like with teachers and professionals in different industries. For instance, take Richard Bronson, the guy dropped out of high school or dropped out of college and he's the richest man in the world. But at the same time, especially in this part of the world, that accreditation or that legitimacy needs to be recognized so you don't have the posers coming out so to speak. So what do you think about that side of the argument? Definitely. I saidSpeaker 3: 05:56 which whatever industry you're in Roy, he's going to get those. So called poses. I got like Tommy and and create the writing stuff, a marketer as the best thing ever. It just comes down to the individual to, I say it's their responsibility to kind of check before they jump in and stop kind of paying money and spending more investing their time in. So learning just because it looks great and the marketing's amazing. It needs to look into that further. Look at the credibility of the people running it. All the people teaching it. Do I have a background in what they're teaching as I taught before? Do they have like you that credibility back them up and some do, some don't. But again it comes down to the same with some of the accredited courses I've seen run are the content, is industry standard? Does it mean that standard is like extremely high quality?Speaker 3: 06:45 It just means it&Support the show (https://www.instagram.com/p/Bl8NPB2H4Mf/?igshid=1m9w8d28oarlu&utm_source=fb_www_attr)

A new study finds that students who receive vouchers to attend private schools in Louisiana are outperformed by students in a control group. Some argue that regulations in Louisiana that discourage many private school leaders from participating in school choice programs are to blame for the poor results. Paul Peterson talks with Patrick Wolf about two recent studies, one looking at the Louisiana Scholarship Program and one looking at what school leaders say about their willingness to participate in school choice programs when those programs have regulatory strings attached.
