Zunächst schuf er mit seinen Wall of Sound-Produktionen ein paar der schönsten Popsongs aller Zeiten: River Deep Mountain High, Be My Baby, You´ve Lost That Loving Feeling und so weiter. Das Mixtape: Tina Turner - River Deep-Mountain High The Ronettes - Be My Baby The Teddy Bears - To Know Him Is To Love Him Rightous Brouthers - You´ve Lost That Loving Feeling The Beatles - The Long and Winding Road The Beatles - The Long and Winding Road (Naked) Leonard Cohen - True Love Leaves No Traces The Ramones - Rock 'n' Roll High School The Crystals - He Hit Me (And It Felt Like a Kiss) John Lennon - God
In Protestsongs. «Love that Bomb!» singen «Dr. Strangelove and the Fallouts» 1964, «Not the tiny toy from Word War I / This one is a million times more fun.» So spiegeln sich in vielen Liedern der 60er die Angst der Bevölkerung vor der omnipräsenten atomaren Bedrohung: «I want to be normal in every way / But a mushroom cloud hangs over my dreams», singt etwa der Rock'n'Roller Sammy Salvo.

Seitdem hat Gonzáles vier weitere Soloalben veröffentlicht – das aktuelle heißt "Against The Dying Of The Light".

The Music in Me is getting wonderfully weird this episode! Join me as I dive into some of the funniest songs ever recorded, from flying purple people eaters and disco ducks to foxes making mysterious noises and pineapples meeting pens. I'll explore why these silly songs became massive hits, share some fun facts about the artists behind them, and celebrate the king of musical parody himself, Weird Al Yankovic, with a special segment dedicated entirely to his hilarious career. If you've ever laughed at a song, danced to "Gangnam Style," barked along to "Who Let the Dogs Out," or proudly sang every word to "Barbie Girl," this episode is for you. So come along for a fun, lighthearted journey through the wonderfully wacky side of music, because sometimes the songs that make us laugh are the ones we remember forever!SONGS MENTIONED… Purple People Eater by Sheb WooleyItsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yello Polka Dot Bikini by Brian HylandYakety Yak by The CoastersThe Streak by Ray StevensDisco Duck by Rick DeesBarbie Girl by AquaI'm Too Sexy by Right Said FredMambo No. 5 by Lou BegaBaby Got Back by Sir Mix-a-LotWho Let The Dogs Out by Baha MenWhat Does The Fox Say? „The Chicks“ erlangten 1998 mit diesem Song Weltruhm.

If you’ve grown bored with church feeling like five pop songs and a Ted Talk, you’re not alone. The church has lost its way. The songs, prayers and practices from generations of Christians before have much to teach us about the kind of Jesus-following life we don’t often see in our world today. Through them, we learn things like stillness, loving our enemies, grieving and forgiving—becoming Christlike people of mercy, joy and love.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
My guest today on the Online for Authors podcast is Joseph M Lenard, author of the book The Book of Kennedy. Joseph Martin Lenard is a former IT (Information Technology) guy now turned American author, blogger, cancer survivor, podcaster, political activist, speaker, social media influencer, spokesperson / affiliate for American Hartford Gold IRA group, and vlogger known for writing and publishing the #1 Amazon bestseller historical fiction thriller Terror Strikes: Coming Soon to a City Near You. He also released in December 2022 a book called How To Write A Book And Get It Published: Hints, Tips & Techniques, to help writers fulfil their dream of becoming an internationally published author, and his third Internationally available fare dropped August 2023 titled ChristiTutionalist TM Politics as a companion (written piece) to his ChristiTutionalist TM Politics podcast of same name began airing in June 2023. In 2025 release of 6th International book "The Book Of Kennedy" (his first available in Hard-Cover, as well as Audio-Book, eBook, Softcopy) hit in August of 2025. In my book review, I stated The Book of Kennedy is YA novelette. The book follows Kennedy, a young woman who is transitioning from one relationship to another. Written without any dialogue, the reader is put into Kennedy's head as she contemplates relationships, life, faith, hope, and kindness. Joseph uses scriptures, song lyrics, and movie/book quotes to help the reader understand Kennedy's journey forward as she reflects on her past relationship and the new one. Joseph states upfront that he is not trying to be Dickens, and that he uses today's way of speaking to write. Although I understand his reasoning, I often found it difficult to read, wanting to stop and correct the errors along the way or change fragments into full sentences. Nonetheless, the lessons learned are very valuable. Plus, he gives a long list of additional resources for those who want to learn more about the philosophy being mulled in Kennedy's head. Sarah is all hot and bothered for the "gay hockey show," Heated Rivalry, and she explains why lesbians would enjoy male on male heat. Susie is all wound up about something totally different: umbrellas. To each their own. We learn about a practice that was created in the 1980s where people dying of AIDS would sell their life insurance policies to investors, and we debate the ethics of betting on someone's death. We discuss the difference in written communication between women and men, and the reason women have to track their punctuation and balance perceived warmth and competence. We find out which celebrities are mentioned the most in pop songs, and the three factors that can increase your chances of being name dropped. Plus, Susie shares big news in the true crime world, where two of the biggest unsolved cases in history have been solved--and the same person (allegedly) did both.Brain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:Go to https://thrivecausemetics.com/braincandy for an exclusive offer of 20% off your first order.Get $10 off your first month's subscription and free shipping when you go to https://nutrafol.com and enter the promo code BRAINCANDYHead to https://cozyearth.com and use my code BRAINCANDYBOGO to get these pj's for you and someone you love! When shopping for bagged veggies, are you, like this woman ahead of me today, checking EACH AND EVERY BAG OF PRECHOPPED AND CLEANED CAULIFLOUR? If so, for what? She had each bag in her hands…inspecting. I spotted one bag lying aside near the bagged broccoli. I grabbed that one. She stated to me that she “hadn't looked at that bag yet.” I stated “you're not going to, as I need this for my dinner tonight. I'm planning on cooking and eating it not inspecting it for whatever you're inspecting all the bags for!” She literally had ALL the bags but one in her hands.
