“I'm just letting you know; I was holding back…it may get worse…”   TITLE TRACKS are not always the ultra-obvious, one trick pony they'd seem to be. Sometimes it IS ultra-obvious and is smack dab in the middle of the chorus where it belongs, sometimes only one of the words might be included in the chorus, and still other times “the chorus is not explicitly mentioned” anywhere within the title track at all.    As you can tell, the rules regarding TITLE TRACKS are often “unburdened by what has been” particularly when factoring in all the confusing rules and conditions that seem to be a part of the burdensome phenomenon known as TITLE TRACKS. But while everything that preceded this sentence may not make any logical sense to a logical person with a logically functioning mind, it's nothing that we can't power through and figure out by working together. Get ready for a “spicy release” and prepare for “a little heat tingle…from the backside” when you JOIN US in a collective assessment of “what can be” with Metal TITLE TRACKS.   Visit www.metalnerdery.com/podcast for more on this episode Help Support Metal Nerdery https://www.patreon.com/metalnerderypodcast Leave us a Voicemail to be played on a future episode: 980-666-8182 Metal Nerdery Tees and Hoodies – metalnerdery.com/merch and kindly leave us a review and/or rating on the iTunes/Apple Podcasts - Spotify or your favorite Podcast app Listen on iTunes, Spotify, Podbean, or wherever you get your Podcasts. fWotD Episode 2624: Still Reigning Welcome to Featured Wiki of the Day, your daily dose of knowledge from Wikipedia’s finest articles. The featured article for Thursday, 11 July 2024 is Still Reigning.Still Reigning is a live performance DVD by the thrash metal band Slayer, released in 2004 through American Recordings. Filmed at the Augusta Civic Center on July 11, 2004, the performance showcases Slayer's 1986 album, Reign in Blood, played in its entirety with the four original band members on a set resembling their 1986 "Reign in Pain" tour. Still Reigning was voted "best live DVD" by the readers of Revolver magazine, and received gold certification in 2005.The DVD is notable for the finale, which features Slayer covered in stage blood while performing the song "Raining Blood", leading to a demanding mixing process plagued by production and technical difficulties. The DVD's producer Kevin Shirley spent hours replacing cymbal and drum hits one-by-one. He publicly aired financial disagreements he had with the band and criticized the quality of the recording, and as a result was allegedly subjected to threats and insults from people associated with the band. This recording reflects the Wikipedia text as of 01:07 UTC on Thursday, 11 July 2024.For the full current version of the article, see Still Reigning on Wikipedia. This podcast uses content from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.Visit our archives at wikioftheday.com and subscribe to stay updated on new episodes.Follow us on Mastodon at @wikioftheday@masto.ai.Also check out Curmudgeon's Corner, a current events podcast.Until next time, I'm standard Justin.

It was supposed to be simple, Charlie picked an Ooey-Gooey movie this week...1988 The Blob. What should of been a nice calm simple review descended into chaos almost immediately and neither Nate or Charlie could do anything to stop it. Don't worry though by some miracle they were able to stay on task long enough to plunge their hands into quite possibly one of the greatest remakes to be made and highlight how this film has held up to the test of time. From dissolved body parts to the questionable wardrobe choices for our main man Kevin Dillion there was plenty to remanence about and even surprise Nate on his viewing. Give Me Back My Action Movies

This week Charlie decided that enough was enough with this (in his opinion) current run of questionable movies and dug deep into his nostalgia to bring 'House' to everyone. Unfortunately Nate had to be absent for this redemption episode but have no fear as Charlie was joined in the studio with James (PosterSmash/WitchHouse) and the two had a blast reliving their memories of this cult classic horror movie. Listen along as they gush over the practical effects, the on screen chemistry between William Katt and George Wendt, and find out what is probably the most disturbing image Charlie has burned in his mind. Stay tuned for the Raining Blood and hear how many Machetes the guys give this VHS classic in the newest episode of Give Me Back My Horror Movies!!!

Give Me Back My Action Movies

This months final birthday selection by Charlie is one of his favorite horror movies if not 'THE' number one horror movie in his list. Nate and Charlie take a fond look back at this horror classic that was not only directed by one of the horror elites John Carpenter but was also written by the master Stephen King himself. Listen along as the guys remember the first time they watched this movie and why Charlie has such a strong nostalgic pull to it and how Nate has a renewed love for it as well.  Find out the Raining Blood and how many Machetes we both give this Carpenter masterpiece!

Our story this week is about the day it rained blood onto Mrs Kit Lasater and her farm in North Carolina.  What caused it? Nobody knows, but science says it was real blood.Your Curious Cocktail this week is a Blood in the Field: Squeeze 1oz blood orange juice and 1/2oz lime juice into a glass. Add mint and 1/2oz simple syrup or sugar and muddle all together. Pour in 2oz rum, fill the glass with ice, and top with seltzer or sparkling water. This week, we're curious about WandaVision, the Apology Line, Mr Worldwide, cat taco trucks, the Dave Matthews Band, and Squishmallows.Trigger Warning: This episode contains discussion of quite a lot of blood. Few franchises permeate the gamer culture as the beloved Legend of Zelda series by Nintendo. From the truly classic 8-bit gilded cartridge of the original, to the megahit Ocarina of Time, to the upcoming Skyward Sword, Zelda games have defined more quintessential gaming experiences than any other series, and was even voted the best game series ever by GameFAQs readers back in 2006. This week we’re joined by Zelda enthusiast and fan artist Benjamin Walton as we talk about the various entries to the series- Our favorite moments in the series, the convoluted timeline, and what we know of Skyward Sword. As a bonus we lead off with an excellent metal remix of ‘Song of Storms’ (from Ocarina of Time- original composer: Koji Kondo) by Scott Houghton titled ‘Raining Blood’. This podcast is rated ‘T’ for ‘Tingle’.
