Thirteen members of his family over five generations are there for Anzac Day, including Paora Tibble, who speaks with Mihi.

Selected Key Takeaways: Don't stress if your healthcare professional initially dismisses the Overcoming MS Program 17:03 “I think it's a really nice opportunity for you to be able to teach [your healthcare professional about the Program]. If you come across resistance from them, I don't think there's an awful lot of point in becoming resentful about that. That's not going to achieve anything at the end of the day. There is lots of support within [the] Overcoming MS [community], if you're not getting it from your MS nurse or your neurologist. Although I think a lot of healthcare professionals are becoming better at being open about these things.” We can't control what's going on outside of us, but we can control our response to it 24:51 “I will regularly say to my patients, 'We can't change what's going on outside of us, we can't change that stressful situation at work, we can't change the builders coming in and messing up. We can't change any of that, but we can change our response to it.' That's what we need to work on, and mindfulness helps with that.” There are no downsides to following the Overcoming MS Program 34:30 “When I was first diagnosed and discovered the Program, I remember thinking to myself, ‘What have I got to lose? By eating a bit more healthily, doing a bit more exercise, [and] doing a bit of mindfulness, what have I got to lose? This week I am joined by Florist to the stars and tireless animal advocate Nikki Tibbles who is also accompanied by her 4 rescue dogs. We chat about Nikki's recent triumph at the Hampton Court flower show - The Rose Tea Garden - and Nikki tells us about her amazing charity - The Wild at Heart Foundation - and its wonderful animal rescue work. Nikki and I first met when I was working with Dash dogs in Greece, which is an animal charity that I support with my family when we discovered the true horrors of the stray dog situation whilst on holiday out there, and we discuss the many challenges faced by the 600 million strong stray dog population around the world and the many ways in which we can help. We finish of course, by discussing Nikki's fashion favourites. This episode has been brought forwards in light of the recent devastating fires in Greece, and the thousands of animals, in particular the thousands of Greek ‘Barrel Dogs' who perished needlessly in the flames. DASH is caring for many injured and traumatised animals and survives on donations alone. Please support them if you can. Kevin Talks about his leafs fandom and covering olympics
This legendary cat was rumored to have single-handedly wiped an entire species of bird (Lyall Wren) off the face of the Earth. Was this mysterious creature a demon from the deep blue, or just a regular old house cat?
In this conversation, Matt Tibbles shares moving personal stories that actualize both his learning journey and the important peacebuilding ideas he studies, practices and teaches – drawing from experiences as a youth pastor and a juvenile detention officer, in education and prevention for a domestic violence and sexual assault shelter, and from among his students in classrooms at EMU.A 2018 graduate of Eastern Mennonite University’s Center for Justice and Peacebuilding, Tibbles is an organizational development and conflict transformation professional with experience working in and with multi-ethnic for-profit businesses, higher education, nonprofit organizations, and indigenous tribes. He balances teaching at EMU with consultancy work among organizations and school districts, focusing on co-creating dignity and honoring trauma-informed and restorative organizational cultures. Tibbles brings these experiences into the courses he teaches to undergraduates in the peacebuilding and development program and the sociology program. He also teaches graduate courses at CJP. Tibbles begins by describing a pivotal experience of de-escalating conflict while working as a youth pastor in the Pacific Northwest. Witnessing the effect of trauma on the child involved pushed him to explore the concept more fully in the youth group he worked with at the church. Later in Alaska, he worked at a juvenile detention facility where he encountered trauma-informed care and practices. Night shifts there allowed for deeper exploration of restorative justice, especially through webinars offered by the Zehr Institute for Restorative Justice and readings of The Little Book of Restorative Justice by Howard Zehr (Good Books, 2002).There, Tibbles began to ask different and probing questions about the behavior of the teens he worked with: One guiding question was “In what reality does this behavior make sense?” Viewing those behaviors through a trauma lens, as responses to trauma, helped him and others he worked with see how daily protocols and practices could raise fear and anxiety. For example, walking directly behind a teen in transition between activities triggered a stress reaction, but shifting slightly into her peripheral vision was a much less threatening position. While our default approach might be “blaming and judging,” asking questions about why behavior might be happening “allowed us to see a much bigger, broader picture of what was going on,” Tibbles said. After studies at CJP, he’s worked to integrate restorative justice and trauma-informed pedagogy within the larger university community with a ripple effect as students across the disciplines see the potential and benefits to bring those principles into various settings.“When we’re able to create trauma-informed and resilient systems, my hope is, and I’m seeing it a little bit from students that have graduated, or even students that have transferred out of EMU into another university or college, is that they’re taking these experiences of being trauma-informed and resilient into their own communities into wherever they’re going,” he said. “And they’re beginning, in small ways, to shift systems that haven’t been trauma informed, or, or haven’t focused on resilience into systems that are beginning to explore just even a little bit of what that means and how it [can be] transformative.”

In part two of this conversation with Dr George McGavin, we find out that he has not one, but five bugs named after him - one of which was given to him by the ‘world cockroach expert’! If there’s a better measure for knowing how influential you’ve been in your field, we haven’t heard of it. George and David go on to discuss the human flesh-eating larvae of the botfly, and the memory of cutting open the poisoned insides of a dead harbour porpoise, alongside other poignant thoughts about man’s impact on nature. Indeed, George reflects on the biggest issue facing wildlife - that there are just too many humans, and that, with that, money seems to trump nature every single time. But, make sure you stay tuned in until the end to hear about spider penises, George’s uncanny David Attenborough impression, and the incomprehensible, destructive power of Tibbles the cat - who single-paw-edly wiped out an entire species! For further information on this and other episodes, visit: https://www.treesacrowd.fm/dr-george-mcgavin/ See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

No word back from the Nashville school that banned Harry Potter Eddie Redmayne provides us a smidge of an update on Fantastic Beasts 3 Chapter-by-Chapter continues with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Chapter 2: A Peck of Owls 7-Word Summary: Many owls arrive at Harry's home tonight Mr. Tibbles was on the case! Good to know that Harry is being watched by... cats! We question Mrs. Figg's qualifications for keeping an eye on Harry all of these years If Dumbledore was so afraid of Harry using magic this summer why did he not institute a better plan for protecting him? We learn Mrs. Figg had to make coming to her house miserable... so the Dursleys allowed it to continue. Given his track record, is Mundungus the best person to be keeping tabs on Harry? What does it say about Vernon that he thinks Dudley's condition is due to a bad bit of "foreign" tea? Why wouldn't Harry be innocent until proven guilty following the Dementor attack? How quickly did Mundungus get word to Dumbledore about what happened? Petunia knows about Dementors... from Snape! Vernon asks if Harry's lot has the death penalty! What?!? Everyone in the room wonders why the Dementors are in Little Whinging… did Voldemort send them? What happens when worlds collide? We share some of our personal experiences. Mike, Tommy and Kevin are reunited (briefly) to tackle another Mighty Ducks Minute. In minute No. 142, Gordon does a photoshoot and Don Tibbles continues his subtle indoctrination of Bombay in the Hendrix Hockey brainwashing while also being a dick. Want to support the show? Even a mere $0.99 per month will go a long way. Send us a voicemail! Send us your best impressions of us, a #QuackQuestion, or anything else you desire. If it's good we'll put it on the show.
The Tibbles take the spotlight, and Arthur gets an honest-to-goodness bottle episode! Will & Lucas talk a lot about the fascinating life of Diogenes in "To Tibble The Truth", and Will explains why you should hate and fear ostriches in "Waiting To Go"...plus, Lucas' takes on the NBA Finals, fashion, and more!
(Thanks to special guests Sophia and Matryoshka for jingling their collars in range of the mic.) The havoc that human beings (and a cat named Tibbles) can wreak on native birds, in an episode that wasn't supposed to be all-bird, but here we are. Spot, Rover, Tibbles and Pickles may be traditional pet names, but these days people are calling their pets by human names. This podcast considers why this is happening, and discusses pets' names in more detail
It's the big one, kids! Lucas & Will are stoked to present their run-through of one of the most well-known episodes of Arthur yet, with "Double Tibble Trouble", and of course, "Arthur's Almost Real Not Live Music Festival"! They go all in on the songs you remember as a kid, plus more topics like bouncy castle etiquette, the Hare Hare Yukai dance, and Buster's role in Migos...plus, how are the Tibbles like the One Ring? Is this the scariest Arthur moment in the show? and, Would Lucas Eat It?!
Mike, Tommy, and Kevin talk way too long about young Gordon Bombay's cryptocurrency operation and Kevin's cratering investments before getting into the conclusion of the D2 novelization. Once they get there they discover a love triangle and a brutal crime. Show Notes Here is John Oliver going after Brock Pierce: An open letter on Medium from EOS mentioned that Brock Pierce was no longer with the company. Apparently Pierce was no longer with the company by the time Oliver's episode aired. Duck call to Kevin's Kin Tokens. Duck call to Emilio in the breakfast club: Is this Italian player, Gianni? Tibbles' quacking when the Ducks come out with their new uniforms. Is it because he's been fired from Hendrix Hockey? Gretzky was traded to the Los Angeles Kings in 1988. He played with them until 1996. With the Junior Goodwill Games coming in March 1994, he was a longtime member of the Kings at that point. He had not just been traded like Mike said. Swingers came out in 1996, but it does look like they are playing NHL 94. Thanks to @Damansara_Keith for the #QuackQuestion: @QuackAttackPod Once you guys have reviewed the second novel, I want you to answer this #quackquestion: which take on the story is better? The documentary or the novel? — Keith Leong (@Damansara_Keith) March 9, 2018
Join us for a conversation with Dr. Tony Tibbles, Dean of Clinics at CMCC. We discuss CCGI integration into the curriculum, CMCC clinics, and recent developments.
[powerpress} Mike, Tommy and Kevin recorded a normal podcast, but decided after that it could use a little more work. Because of that, this abbreviated pod is solely the trivia semifinals between Marsh and Nick. Who will win and be one step away from the No. 1 Quackolyte mug? Show Notes The shop promo code is: CHEERf5b49d. Here is the Washington Post story Tommy talked about at the top of the show. Thanks in advanced for understanding. If we can the right people it should be good. Thanks to @Conway96Ducks and @Forzamilanx1899 for a nice semifinal. Don Tibbles handing over his whistle: OK, so Charlie mentions R.E.M. when Linda is like, "I still don't know you that well." Linda just sort of silently nods. Mike, as official creator of the game feels the spirit of the question was not harmed by Charlie's mention of R.E.M. later on. The answer was still obvious, since Linda mentions Pantera. You can see the chopped duck liver on rye as the special on the wall in the background: @QuackAttackPod Goldberg's parents would def send him off with the Goldberg's special: chopped duck liver on rye pic.twitter.com/dAoOXsAKsL — joyce eng (@joyceeng61) November 23, 2017
Mike, Tommy, and Kevin attempt to figure out if Wolf Stansson was actually as bad as he seemed. In the process they uncover another one of Tibbles' secret marketing plans and ponder how the Junior Goodwill Games looked to the outside world. Show notes Shoutout to Cars For Kids. We touched on Stansson at the end of Episode 116. Bombay with the slicked-back hair: Iceland's black jerseys that have resemblence to their flag: The Bombay vs. Stansson showdown: Bombay's line after he hits the second post: "Newsflash: that wasn't even my triple deke." Then he fakes Stansson, turns back around and says, "One more post and you go home crying. By the way Stansson, you owe me a beach ball." That's when the slash comes. We talked about Iceland being in turmoil after the loss to Russia all the way back in Episode 2. Stansson showing some sportsmanship: Thanks to @erscimia for the #QuackQuestion. @QuackAttackPod Is Gordon really cheating vs. Jets in D1? Or just teaching kids legit skill of drawing calls from the refs? #QuackQuestion — Ed Scimia (@erscimia) February 2, 2017 Twitter | Facebook | iTunes Pod intro and outro by Josh Luecht

Tommy has two theories he runs by Mike and Kevin. The first involves Tommy and Tammy's absence from D2 as well as what happened after. (Hint: Hans is involved.) The deals with Ms. MacKay and whether she must time travel to protect the Mighty Ducks. Show Notes Episode 104 was the first that featured Kevin without his car. That came debuted on Nov. 9. We're well over a month now. This is a Honda Ruckus: Our famous Hans theory comes in Episode 11. Everything you want to know about Pete and Pete in this amazing 1990s-style website. Don't forget to check out the Pete and Pete community on LiveJournal. (It hasn't been updated in five years.) This is Pete a.k.a. Tommy Duncan's tattoo petunia: Shoutout to Stranger Things. Mom isn't going to like this at all: This theory is basically the same plot as the Gone in Sixty Seconds documentary. The Mighty Ducks premiered on October 2, 1992. The Adventures of Pete and Pete had shorts on Nickelodeon beginning in 1989, but the full series didn't start until 1993. It is possible that the documentaries were shot at different times but Pete and Pete just made it to air much quicker than a full-length theatrical documentary like The Mighty Ducks. The principal from D1/teacher from D3 and Ms. McKay in D2: A quick summary of Terminator for those who've forgotten. Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure also has an amazing website. A summary as well. It was indeed Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines that had the new machine go back in time to kill the other members of the resistance. Thanks to @Conway96Ducks for the #QuackQuestion. We believe Mike announced Marcia wrong on the pod. Sorry! @QuackAttackPod what do you think the phone call was like when Tibbles had to tell Mr. Hall that Terry wasn't selected for Team USA? — Charlie Conway (@Conway96Ducks) December 12, 2016
Listen on Stitcher or the Google Play Music Store. Mike, Tommy, and Kevin tackle (pun intended) one of the great philosophical questions of our time: What if the Mighty Ducks went to football? What if, instead of Fulton coming to the Ducks, the Ducks went to Fulton? What would that team look like? Show Notes People talk. Don't mean nothin'. Shoutout to Fulton, the Mark Chmura of the Ducks: (Mark Chmura for those that don't know.) Boobie Miles, from the movie Friday Night Lights, which is based on the book, which is a true story. More info on the real Boobie. Tim Riggins, from the fictional TV show, Friday Night Lights. More info on the fake Riggins. Here's an absurdly long article on King of the Hill, football, and Bill's touchdown record. The completed team: Offense QB: Guy Germaine RB/FB: Fulton Reed RB: Luis Mendoza WR: Adam Banks (Backup: Ken Wu) WR: Jesse Hall (Backup: Connie Moreau) TE/H Back: Dwayne Robertson RT: Russ Tyler RG: Dave Karp C: Julie "The Cat" Gaffney LG: Dean Portman LT: Greg Goldberg Defense DE: Tammy Duncan DT: Tommy Duncan DT: Dave/Les Averman DE: Connie Moreau LB: Dean Portman LB: Fulton Reed LB: Ken Wu CB: Terry Hall CB: Peter Mark SS: Charlie Conway FS: Luis Mendoza Special teams K: Luis Mendoza P: Fulton Reed KR: Luis Mendoza PR: Ken Wu Thanks to @hopkinsm365 for the #QuackQuestion. Asad and Robert from the Jocs and Docs podcast join Mike, Tommy, and Kevin, to discuss every injury in the Mighty Ducks. Could Banks really wake up and have the pain be gone? What happened with the Panthers and the measles? Could the Ducks have killed the varsity with their fire ants prank? Show Notes Check out the Jocs and Docs on Twitter, give them a five-star review on iTunes, and listen to their podcast. Karp's injury: According to the CDC, there was between 1-4 cases of the measles in Minnesota this year. Banks sliding into the post: According to this VERY VERY non-scientific website, it takes a few minutes of inhaling choloroform to knock you out. Tibbles taking a puck to the face: The bruised hand the Iceland goalie suffers on Fulton's shot: The Banks injury. Thanks to @ak2themax for the #QuackQuestion: Stansson's slash on Bombay: Mendoza falling down: Averman taking a dick to the face: The hit that dislocated Guy's shoulder: Cole going into the crowd: Twitter | Facebook | Give us a five-star review on iTunes
In part two of three, Mike, Tommy and Kevin present a world in which the Mighty Ducks lose to Iceland. They identifiy the Ducks' goat, how Iceland's win sets up a 20-year climb into a world power and the fallout of the loss for Bombay and Tibbles. Show notes: The jumping off point. Say Gunnar Stahl hits this shot: We talked shootout order in Episode 13 grab bag. Averman's movie theater work has been deconstructed here and here. In Episode 2, we talk about Iceland's loss to Russia and how that affected the Stahl-Stansson movie. It's also the episode where Mike doesn't know what Iceland's flag look like. Iceland actually has an extradition treaty with the United States. The country granted Fischer citizenship in Iceland because they thought he was being treated unfairly by U.S. and Japanese authorities. Because of his citizenship he couldn't be extradited.
It's time to enter a new world. Mike, Tommy, and Kevin break down what would've happend had Charlie missed his penalty shot and the Mighty Ducks lost in overtime. Does Gordon Bombay return? Are the Ducks back for another season? What happens to the Hawks? Show notes: The jumping off point: Charlie's penalty shot. Pay special attention to Bombay's speech and the team clamoring for Guy to take the shot: We discussed Bombay never relinquishing his win-at-all-costs attitude in Episode 1. Tibbles' influence on the Team USA's Junior Goodwill Games roster was discussed in Episode 21. Larson obviously knows taking out Banks was wrong. You can see it here: But does he squeal if the Hawks win? McGill would probably be in the Minnesota Correctional Facility -- St. Cloud. McGill does only get two minutes for cross-checking. The fist bump from Reilly probably caused suspicions among the league, though:
It's time for another grab bag episode? Mike, Tommy and Kevin cover a variety of topics from Tibbles' party and Gordon Bombay's loafer to Goldberg's Deli and why the Ducks have a conjoined locker room for boys and girls. Show Notes: The guy at the part was indeed Steven Brill, the writer of the movie and also Frankie Boy in D1. The main tickler was indeed Goldberg. Wu was on shaving cream duty. Aaron Spelling was an American film and television producer. He died in 2009. Goldberg is the only one who claims Spelling as an uncle. Could Goldberg have stopped the final shot? This is Goldberg's Deli. Their new logo: We talked about Connie and Guy in Episode 4 We talked about Hans' power in Episode 11.
Mike, Tommy and Kevin approach D2 from Don Tibbles' perspective. In tracking Tibbles from his first meeting with Gordon Bombay to his approving head nod at the end of the film/documentary, they discover what can only be classified as a success story. Show notes: Don Tibbles! Our introduction to him: http://i.imgur.com/PJmUhgA.gif Mike Babcock was in college at McGill University in 1994, so he would've been too young for to coach Team USA. One other point that Mike failed to mention: Mike Babcock is Canadian. That's not the best thing when you're trying to market a coach of Team USA. Averman and Goldberg. Very marketable: http://i.imgur.com/APCklXq.gif Our discussion on Kenny Wu was Episode 17. Wheaties is a branch of General Mills. This is what Wheaties look like: Don Tibbles rushing to Gordon's aid after Stansson slashes Bombay. The ball of romance gets rolling in Thanksgiving all because of a rabbit. That rabbit belongs to Dr. Patrick Hunter, but it’s in the yard of Megan Murphy. Initially, she thinks it’s cute until it starts eating her skirt. Dr Hunter scoops up Tibbles and while Megan wants to lecture him about his rabbit, he’s too handsome to get angry at.Click here to play
