God lytting!Vi trenger din hjelp for å fortsette å lage Hverdagspsyken!

Hitlers anfall på Danmark och Norge

Play Episode Listen Later May 7, 2025 56:12

Latent Space: The AI Engineer Podcast — CodeGen, Agents, Computer Vision, Data Science, AI UX and all things Software 3.0

The explosion of embedding-based applications created a new challenge: efficiently storing, indexing, and searching these high-dimensional vectors at scale. This gap gave rise to the vector database category, with companies like Pinecone leading the charge in 2022-2023 by defining specialized infrastructure for vector operations. The category saw explosive growth following ChatGPT's launch in late 2022, as developers rushed to build AI applications using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). This surge was partly driven by a widespread misconception that embedding-based similarity search was the only viable method for retrieving context for LLMs!!! The resulting "vector database gold rush" saw massive investment and attention directed toward vector search infrastructure, even though traditional information retrieval techniques remained equally valuable for many RAG applications. https://x.com/jobergum/status/1872923872007217309 Chapters 00:00 Introduction to Trondheim and Background 03:03 The Rise and Fall of Vector Databases 06:08 Convergence of Search Technologies 09:04 Embeddings and Their Importance 12:03 Building Effective Search Systems 15:00 RAG Applications and Recommendations 17:55 The Role of Knowledge Graphs 20:49 Future of Embedding Models and Innovations

Programleder: Sivert MoeSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/anger.

By his wounds. His wounds are the source of healing. Our wounds are the wounds that are healed by his wounds. Our wounds may even become the source of healing for others because we have been healed by his wounds. What an unimaginable mystery. Wounds heal. Healing from wounds. Have we considered the magnificence or the near-unbelievability of this reality?Let's put that question another way: “By what means may I understand and experience Christ's wounds not just in juridical terms, as the providential means by which God chose to ‘take away' sin, but as the living source of a remedy by which sin is cured and humanity's wounds, my wounds, are healed?” By what means may I understand and experience that? Indeed, that is the central question in the book my guest today has authored. The book is Healing Wounds, and the author is Bishop Erik Varden, a Cistercian monk who is bishop of Trondheim, Norway. In addition to Healing Wounds, Bishop Varden is author of other works like Chastity: Reconciliation of the Senses and The Shattering of Loneliness: On Christian Remembrance. Today on Episode 496 I'm talking with Mattias Jansson from the National Pilgrim Center in Trondheim, Norway. I recently had the opportunity to hike the Pilgrim Path along Olav's Way, and if you get the chance, do it. Not only is the walk beautiful, but the history is quite interesting as well. Not only is the walk beautiful, but the history is quite interesting as well. Facebook   Twitter   Instagram Love the show? Subscribe,  rate, review, and share! Sign up for my Newsletter  HERE I'd love to hear your feedback about the show! You can contact me here:  rick@theoutdoorbizpodcast.com What Happened I've done my fair share of hiking. From the John Muir Trail to the PCT, I thought I had a pretty solid handle on what makes an adventure worthwhile. But then I found myself in Norway, walking the Pilgrim Path to Nidaros Cathedral, and something shifted. It wasn't just the landscapes—though, let me tell you, those were next level. One day, we were trekking through misty mountains. The next, we were passing through sleepy villages, exchanging nods with locals who've seen hikers like us for centuries. And then there was that one wild day—the rain poured, the wind howled, and instead of hurrying through it, we stopped to make coffee by a quiet pond. No rush, no race, just being in the moment. That's when it hit me: This wasn't just a hike. It was something deeper. Something that had been calling to people for over a thousand years. It made me wonder: Why do we chase adventure? What are we really searching for? Principle Here's the truth: Many people think adventure is about ticking off trails, collecting miles, or conquering nature. But the best adventures? They change you. A pilgrimage isn't just about getting from point A to B. It's about stripping away the layers of everyday life—the distractions, the to-do lists, the noise—until all that's left is you, the trail, and whatever you're meant to discover along the way. Transition Many people don't realize it, but they're searching for more than just adventure. They're searching for meaning. And yet, so many never find it—not because they're not looking, but because they don't know where to look. And … That's Why… That's why, in this episode of the Outdoor Adventure Lifestyle Podcast, we sat down with Mattias Jansson, a modern-day guide of these ancient trails. We talk about the Viking roots of the Pilgrim Path, the deep connection between adventure and self-discovery, and why people from all over the world are drawn to this experience today. Call to Action If you've ever felt stuck—like your adventures aren't quite scratching that itch anymore—this episode is for you. Because adventure isn't just about new places. It's about new perspectives.
