This weeks podcast is dedicated to our latest video release in the shape of the hugely successful and somewhat unique "The Docks" staring our very own Jacob Worth and edited by videographer Bradley Chambers. The podcast covers the behind the scenes not shown aspects of Jacobs two year winter campaign on The Docks in London which cumulated in thy capture of a 50lb+ ghost carp from the venue. Brad talks about the editing style which (in addition to the angling) has really set this video apart amongst other content that is to there in the industry.Make sure you check out the video on Nash Tv now and enjoy this eye opening little insight into the story behind it's making.
Joining Hassan in the podcast studio this week are a number of the Nash Tackle team who stared in the latest The Social 4 Lake Bled video, available to watch now on NashTV.It's fair to say the team smashed it on all fronts, with all the anglers and videographers on the shoot catching carp over the 40lb mark, topped by a 60lb+ mirror caught by Max Hendry. The video was shot with each pair of anglers having their own videographer to record the goings on over the course of the week. Overall the video was compiled and edited by videographer Barnaby Bos who speaks about the process of putting it all together and how he is now leaving Nash for a life in Switzerland fly fishing.Sam Barron and Bradley Chambers for the videography team also speak about the process of filming the events during a high paced, fish filled shoot on a days only mega lake.Dan Yeomans, Tom Forman, Henry Lennon, Alfie Willingale, Max Hendry and Oli Davies all discuss their angling on "the greatest" park lake in the world and what changes in tactics and bait led to their success. If you are heading to Lake Bled or looking for some humour and inspiration enjoy this unedited podcast.

It’s Friday September 6th. Welcome to This Week In Podcasting where we discuss this week's podcasting news and tips, all in under 10 minutes. This episode is provided by Sounder.fm, the Smartest way to Podcast. Let’s get started. This week we discuss, The New York Times Grows Digital Revenue by 14%, Should Podcasters Welcome Spotify with Open Arms?, and How do Listeners Find Out about new Podcasts? The New York Times had their Q2 earnings report and their CEO, Mark Thompson, said they grew digital advertising revenue by 14% which includes their podcasting revenue which primarily comes from their hit show, “The Daily”. He said, “These gains on the digital side were more than enough to offset familiar secular declines in print, and total advertising revenue grew slightly.”Meredith Kopit, the Chief Operating Office said, “there is real demand for audio advertising in association with quality unique content that has big audiences. And so we're optimistic that over time, our other podcasts in addition to The Daily will become meaningful ad products.”Should podcasters welcome Spotify with open arms? Bradley Chambers wrote an article on 9to5mac and he gives his perspective on this question.Bradley argues that even though Spotify has acquired Gimlet, he still believes they will keep the market open. He states, “ For this industry to grow as we all want it to, we need more people listening to more shows. With Apple, Google, and Spotify all basing 99% of their directory on the open RSS standard, we have preserved the free market.”
Ep.19 - Why is Your Podcast Still Not Being Found? Tim and Kyle introduce you to the new SEO for podcasting called Podcast Discovery Optimization (PDO) and why it matters to how your podcast is found. Episode at a Glance: We celebrate our second year of doing Virginia Podcaster's Association (VAPODA) meetups at Germanna Community College -- it's a great place to find out what real podcast newbies are struggling with! The Virginia Podcaster's Association (VAPODA) is a great place to find out what real podcast newbies are struggling with We explore what happened when we looked up a new podcaster's podcast using Pocket Cast (Hint: We discover that different podcasts can have the same name!) "Conversating" becomes the Word of the Day We throw friend of the show Mathew Passy a whole lot of love! What did we learn? Welcome to Podcast Discovery Optimization (PDO) This is the "what does my website look like on other browsers?" song. Followed by the "what does my website look like on other phones?" B-side sleeper hit. Now, it's "what does my podcast look like on all apps?"... or even the better question: "IS my podcast in all the apps?" You have to look up your podcast because you can't fix what you don't know! We thought a podcast name needed to be unique. Nope! Turns out you can have the EXACT SAME NAME in Apple Podcasts (iTunes)! We didn't know that was possible We find out that not all podcasting statistics are created equal and not all hosts let you know where your listeners are coming from. We know that not all hosts use IAB Standards but when you mix downloads with streaming with listens we can see why newbies get confused. New Podcasting Terms: Which is your favorite? Podcast Reliability Engineering (PRE) Podcast Search Optimization (PSO) Podcast Visualization Optimization (PVO) Podcast Discovery Optimization (PDO) PDO Recommendations for Podcasters: 1. Stay away from a podcast with the same name because it's hard to find your podcast next to the others already 2. Don't confuse your audience by being similar 3. The answer to your show's name is in your content if you're looking for it 4. Massage your message by making your name stand out from the static 5. Search your own podcast on all the apps -- Yup! All of them! 6. Do the work now, save the struggle for other fights not related to having to keep telling people which podcast is yours 7. Go through all the apps and see if you're on your favorite apps 8. If it gets crazy, get someone to help you with Podcast Discovery Optimization (PDO) if you're not showing up (like Mathew Passy - The Podcast Consultant) Industry Predictions: Read our growing list of podcast industry predictions for 2020! Bradley Chambers has been managing Apple devices in an education environment since 2009. Currently he’s the IT director at a school in Chattanooga, and he’s also a contributor to 9to5Mac via his weekly column: “Making the Grade.” Bradley told me about his work as an IT administrator, how iPads and Macs are deployed, configured and repaired. There are some good tools for doing that, but they’re also supplemented with Google docs and JAMF tools. His kids are taught programming at an early age with Swift Playgrounds, and it turns out that the iPad offers just what his students need for a K-5 curriculum. We finished with a discussion of a few of his recent columns, including why digital textbooks generally failed in the market as well as thoughts about the state of Apple’s iBooks Author app.

Gerüchte gab es auch… vor allem dieses: Aside from larger 4.7 and 5.5-inch displays, the iPhone 6 is rumored to have an improved A8 processor, an improved camera with optical image stabilization, new backlighting technology and 802.11ac Wi-Fi. YouTube: iPhone 6 spotted during WWDC14 preparations Aber, Hardware gab es keine. Designprofi Sebastiaan de With ist schon einmal begeistert: Awesome features. Color. Shadow. Depth. Friendly and not garish. Great work by everyone at Apple who designed Yosemite and made it work. Sven sieht also keinen Sherlock-Alarm. This is always my favorite slide. Decent but not Earth-shattering pricing. Very glad to see them tackle this. There is no content yet.” erscheint. The desktop, flattened: OS X Yosemite in pictures Macstories: OS X Yosemite Overview ArsTechnica: OS X Yosemite unveiled at WWDC, features big UI overhaul The Verge: Apple’s WWDC banners show iOS 8, next OS X are coming Apple: iOS 8 - Family Sharing ArsTechnica: Apple gets heavy with gaming, announces Metal development platform In Spenderlaune?
