Email: bidemiologunde@gmail.comIn this episode, host Bidemi Ologunde speaks with Chanda Coston, founder of Chanda Co., a U.S. Navy veteran, business strategist, coach, and Personal PMP/Success Strategist who helps women entrepreneurs in the "third quarter of life" turn their experience into income, build businesses that fit their current season, and move from scattered effort to structured execution without burnout. The conversation follows Chanda's timeline from military service to corporate strategy, consulting, entrepreneurship, and coaching: What does reinvention really require after 40? How can women choose the right business model for the life they are actually living now? Where can technology, automation, and project-management systems create clarity, and where do they quietly fuel overwhelm? Chanda shares practical lessons on confidence, focus, execution, and building a business that supports life instead of consuming it.

The Gospel on the Radio Talk Show with Pastor Jack King of Tallahassee, Florida

In this episode, Pastor Jack King sits down with Navy Veteran and former VA Chaplain Jim Taylor to discuss the grueling reality of life on a submarine and the spiritual transformation that led Jim to dedicate his life to healing veterans. They explore the concept of "Moral Injury" and how the church can better equip itself to help those returning from service with wounds that are deeper than psychological trauma. -- Jim's 30-year military career, transitioning from an aircraft carrier to the high-pressure environment of ballistic missile and fast-attack submarines. -- The physical and mental toll of 18-hour workdays and 92-day underwater deployments where oxygen and water are manufactured on-site. -- A raw look at "altar experiences," including a supernatural vision of Christ that provided Jim with a lasting peace during a season of extreme personal and financial hardship. -- The definition of "Moral Injury" and why it requires a different approach than standard PTSD treatments within the church. -- The importance of family sacrifice in military service, including Jim's wife, Mary, and their shared journey through seminary while living in a tent. Scriptures for Further Study -- Numbers 6:24-26 -- Psalm 107:23-30 -- John 14:27 -- Philippians 4:7 This is episode 1275. ******* This is the radio program with the music removed. Christopher shares how his military experience shaped his approach to entrepreneurship, risk, and execution. We unpack what geofencing actually is, how it works, and why location-based targeting is becoming one of the most effective forms of digital advertising.  Instead of broad, spray-and-pray marketing, Christopher focuses on precision drawing digital boundaries around physical locations and delivering ads directly to devices within those zones.  We also discuss: • Transitioning from military service to entrepreneurship • Bootstrapping without investors • How geofencing marketing works in simple terms • Precision targeting vs traditional digital ads • Building recurring revenue • Competitor targeting strategies • Remote-first business systems • Discipline and long-term execution Christopher proves you don't need venture capital to scale. How can we actually prevent suicide? Guns, access to means, and the hope of Donna's Law

The US has a major suicide problem, around 50,000 people every year, and 60% of these suicides are gun suicides. The number one risk factor for completed suicide is not depression or anxiety or addiction….it's access to means, and it turns out that it's actually not that easy to impulsively kill yourself, unless you have ready access to a gun. We are finally starting to talk about ways to keep guns out of the hands of potentially suicidal people, and a concrete step in that direction is something called Donna's Law— a program where people can voluntarily be put on a no-sell list during times of psychological crisis or instability.  Donna's Law is named after Donna Nathan, who impulsively bought a handgun in 2018 in New Orleans and shot herself during a period of psychiatric crisis.  There were no barriers in place, no waiting period or no-sell list...Donna found easy access to means and paid the ultimate price. We first hear the voice of Katrina Brees, Donna's daughter. Katrina tells us more about who Donna was, how she lived and how she died. After we hear from Katrina, Dr. H leads a discussion with two prominent Colorado voices for both Donna's law in particular and suicide prevention in general— Dr. Dave Iverson is a Denver-based psychiatrist, a board member of Colorado Ceasefire, and lifelong advocate for society's most vulnerable folks, including those on the streets or in the justice system… also Ginny Mack joins the conversation, she is a Ft Collins-based psychiatric nurse practitioner, a Navy Veteran, and a longtime advocate for suicide prevention efforts on the state and local level. Support the show! https://www.buzzsprout.com/396871/supportDonna's Law for Suicide Preventionhttps://www.donnaslaw.com/Donna's Law for Coloradohttps://www.donnaslawforco.com/Colorado listeners who would like to get involved in the awareness campaign for Donna's Law, please email:donnaslawforco@gmail.comGolden Gate suicide studyhttps://www.goldengate.org/assets/1/6/suicide-deterrent-seiden-study.pdfBringing Therapy into Med Management-- An intensive workshop for psych NPs and PAs, June 3-6 2026 in Ft Collinshttps://www.craigheacockmd.com/bringing-therapy-into-med-management/"I Love You, I Hate You, Are You My Mom?"  An intensive experiential workshop exploring transference and countertransference with Dr. H and Dr. Hillary McBride, June 18-20 2026 in Vancouver/Chilliwack BChttps://www.craigheacockmd.com/i-love-you-i-hate-you-are-you-my-mom/Explore every episode through themes, domains, formats, and speakers. In this episode, we delve into the extraordinary experiences of David, a Navy veteran and lifelong outdoorsman whose encounters span from the high elevations of Colorado to a secluded property in the foothills of the Catskills in upstate New York. During a late-summer backpacking trip near the Maroon Bells and Snowmass Lake, David describes coming face to face with towering glowing eyes in the darkness, followed by a night filled with deliberate wood knocks, strange vocalizations, and massive footprints pressed deep into mountain soil.Years later, after purchasing a remote cabin surrounded by dense forest and protected land, the activity begins again. What starts as distant knocking and whoops gradually moves closer to the house, bringing unexplained odors, enormous tracks in deep snow with an impossible stride, violent pounding on a nearby structure, and a daylight sighting that leaves no room for doubt. As the months unfold, the experiences build in intensity, culminating in a moment that still echoes in David's memory.David shares his story with clarity and composure, offering detailed observations shaped by a lifetime spent outdoors. His account paints a compelling picture of activity across two very different regions of the country, raising questions about movement, territory, and long-term presence. Join us as we explore David's gripping journey and the unsettling patterns that followed him from the Rockies to the mountains of New York.

Chanda Coston is a U.S. Navy Veteran, Business Strategist, and Founder of Chanda Co., where she helps entrepreneurs build profitable, purpose-driven businesses without sacrificing peace or passion. With over 20 years of leadership experience and a background in project management, she teaches systems, mindset, and strategy that enable creative professionals, like food bloggers, to grow sustainably, delegate effectively, and avoid burnout. Her coaching blends structure and soul, because clarity and calm are the ultimate success tools. Burnout is not a badge of honor. In this episode, Chanda breaks down what sustainable success actually looks like and why systems, boundaries, and self trust matter more than working harder. This conversation is a reset for anyone who feels overwhelmed, reactive, or constantly behind. Key Topics Discussed: Burnout is a warning, not a requirement: If your business only works when you are exhausted, something is broken and it is not you. Mindset comes before strategy: No system will stick if you believe rest equals failure or productivity defines your worth. Self awareness changes everything: Learning your personal burnout cues helps you intervene before things spiral. CEO themed days create clarity: Structuring your week around focus areas removes daily decision fatigue. Boundaries protect your energy: Time blocks only work when you are willing to turn things off and say no. Delegation is not optional for growth: If you are the single point of failure, your business cannot scale. Guilt is not a good decision maker: Especially for moms, choosing yourself now creates a better future for everyone. Lung cancer screening is one of the simplest tools available in cancer care, yet it remains widely underused. A low-dose CT scan takes just a few minutes and can detect lung cancer at its earliest and most treatable stages. Jim Pantelas is a Navy Veteran and a 20 plus year lung cancer survivor. He was diagnosed with stage 3B lung cancer at age 52, back when lung cancer screening was not available. Today, he is joining Dr. Drew Moghanaki, a thoracic oncology leader and VA physician, to deliver a clear message to Veterans and anyone with a smoking history. Get screened. Every year. Key Topics Discussed: How lung cancer can grow with no symptoms until it is advanced Why Veterans may face higher risk from airborne hazards and toxic exposures What screening is like and why it takes less than three minutes Why annual screening matters, not just one scan How early detection expands treatment options and improves outcomes How to access screening through the VA or through civilian healthcare Why screening is covered and cost should not stop you Featured Guests: Jim Pantelas, Navy Veteran, 20 plus Year Lung Cancer Survivor Dr. Drew Moghanaki, UCLA and VA Thoracic Oncology Leader Key Takeaway: Lung cancer is curable when caught early. After transitioning from military service, Matt brought his mission-first mindset into the private sector, leading a 2,000-person team at Under Armour, proving that elite leadership principles transcend uniforms. Next week in Tennessee, the biggest and most important election since Election Day is happening. And it could be a key bellwether for the mid-term elections next year. But most of America doesn't know it's happening. Or that an independent veteran is running in it. But this fascinating and intense race is a reflection of all that is broken in American politics today. And also, may give you hope for the future.  Can the Republicans hold this solidly red district? Will the Democrats continue their hot streak and win again? And will this little-known independent candidate be the determining factor? Independent veteran Congressional candidate Jon Thorp joins Independent Americans host Paul Rieckhoff (@PaulRieckhoff) from rural Tennessee to break down his high‑stakes special election outside of Nashville, why he walked away from the GOP to run as a true independent, and how MAGA money, Democrat Super PACs, Donald Trump, Kamala Harris, gerrymandering, and broken election rules are all stacked against independent candidates like him. We'll take you inside this fight for a Congressional seat that could alter the entire balance of power in Washington.  In this latest special “Meet the Independent Candidate” episode, Paul talks exclusively with the former Army soldier and independent veteran who is running in a December 2nd special election in Tennessee's 7th District—a race drawn to be safely Republican but now suddenly competitive. Jon explains how a district that stretches across 14 counties from the Kentucky line down toward Alabama was carved to exclude downtown Nashville, why that gerrymander matters, and what he is hearing from disillusioned voters who feel politically homeless and ignored by both parties. Jon is facing a Trump-supported loyalist and extreme Republican Matt Van Epps, AND a Kamala Harris-supported far left Democrat Aftyn Behn–and presenting himself as the moderate voice of reason in the middle. Trump is watching this race closely. You should too.  And Paul also breaks down the top stories of the day–including reaction to the breaking news that the cases against James Comey and Leticia James have been dropped–and that Secretary of Defense and Pete Hegseth are considering launching an investigation and UCMJ legal action against political opponent, Navy Veteran and Democrat Senator Mark Kelly.  Because every episode of Independent Americans with Paul Rieckhoff breaks down the most important news stories--and offers light to contrast the heat of other politics and news shows. This is the story of a brave and hard working veteran who had to overcome sorrow, pain and life's hard knocks since he was four years old. Yet he was determined to find a way to a path of balance and clarity in life. Rob mentioned that by the time he was a teen, he felt that he'd rather die overseas than stay living with his father and stepmother. Rob served his country for seven years. After attempting to take his life and being assaulted by a senior officer, he decided that it was time to retire. Insomnia was chronic and conventional treatments weren't helping with Rob's mental health issues  Rob decided to head to Asia and more or less loose himself in the culture, nature and face his demons. He explains, "Instead of waiting, I set out on a journey that changed everything.I lived with tribes in the jungles of the Philippines, spent three months as the disciple of a Hindu monk in the Himalayas, trained under a Shaolin master in China, and later joined a troop of spear fishermen in Boracay who hunted in the deep daily to feed their community during the pandemic. The lessons I gathered became the foundation of my book "Unfiltered Wisdom," a raw look at resilience, self-discovery, and mental health from the inside out." His book, "Unfiltered Wisdom," is the result of re-examining himself, his pain, sorrow, sickness and anger. Rob's first contact with me was this email:"I lost my mother when I was four years old on Christmas Eve in 1987 so I didn't really have much of a relationship with her throughout my life because she was gone. However, my father remarried, and I had a stepmother. We had a very complicated relationship, but she did really help my dad get himself back in order and gave us a way better life than my siblings before he had so I'm definitely grateful for her efforts and sacrifice in that regard.I'm interested in talking about my mom but again I don't really know too much about my real mother other than stories that I was told. My stepmother was the only mother that I knew and I'm comfortable to talk about her, but our relationship was very mixed with a lot of love, but I also experienced quite a bit of abuse so I have mixed emotions about it. It might make a good content to expose and talk about the idea of men having a mother wound. This typically drives them to be adverse to committed relationships and to be overly promiscuous because they don't want the risk of being vulnerable with a woman due to their unhealed mother issues.TURN YOURSELF AROUND FROM BEING A VICTIM AND A PLACE OF WOUNDS AND TURNING IT INTO WISDOM, DEVELOPMENT, HOPE AND PEACE AND ACTUALLY BE WHO YOU WANT TO BE."Rob shared so much with me including his journey throughout Asia, he shared "I lived with tribes in the jungles of the Philippines, spent three months as the disciple of a Hindu monk in the Himalayas, trained under a Shaolin master in China, and later joined a troop of spear fishermen in Boracay who hunted in the deep daily to feed their community during the pandemic."The lessons I gathered became the foundation of my book Unfiltered Wisdom, a raw look at resilience, self-discovery, and mental health from the inside out.https://unfiltered-wisdom.com/the-book/ I admire Rob tremendously for all the work her's done to bring himself inner peace. It's an important lesson, that sometimes following conventional protocol for healing isn't beneficial to all. It's clear that bravery and desperation help us face our illnesses/issues but honesty is the most important thing-being honest with yourself and allow others to help.Social Media Links / Website:            •           Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/robert.greene.799034            •           Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/un_filtered_wisdom/            •           LinkedIn:https://id.linkedin.com/in/unfilteredwisdom            •           Website:www.unfiltered-wisdom.com "Should Have Listened To My Mother" is an ongoing conversation about mothers/female role models and the roles they play in our lives. On this installment of the Redacted History Podcast we take a look back at the life and accomplishments of Harvey Milk, a Navy Veteran and the first openly gay man to hold political office in America. We also look back at his untimely death, how that unfolded, and his legacy. June 18, 2025 – The Trevor Project received official notice yesterday that the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is initiating the closure of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline's LGBTQ+ Youth Specialized Services program within 30 days, effective July 17, 2025. Jaymes Black, CEO of The Trevor Project, released the following statement in response: “We received official notice that the Trump administration has ordered the closure of The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline's LGBTQ+ Youth Specialized Services program, effective July 17, 2025. This means that, in 30 short days, this program that has provided life-saving services to more than 1.3 million LGBTQ+ young people will no longer be available for those who need it. “This is devastating, to say the least. Suicide prevention is about people, not politics. The administration's decision to remove a bipartisan, evidence-based service that has effectively supported a high-risk group of young people through their darkest moments is incomprehensible. The fact that this news comes to us halfway through Pride Month is callous – as is the administration's choice to remove the ‘T' from the acronym ‘LGBTQ+' in their announcement. Transgender people can never, and will never, be erased. “Congress can still act to reverse this fatal decision. We are asking everyone to join the overwhelming public support for evidence-based crisis services, and urge Congress to act. Learn more by visiting TheTrevorProject.org/ActNow. In September 2022, The Trevor Project began providing its best-practice crisis services to LGBTQ+ youth through the 988 Lifeline. When individuals contact the 988 via phone, text, or chat, they are given the option to “press 3” or “reply PRIDE” to be connected with counselors trained specifically to assist LGBTQ+ contacts up to age 25. Initially, The Trevor Project served as the sole provider for the pilot phase of 988 LGBTQ+ youth specialized services, before transitioning to serve as one of seven centers that currently make up the LGBTQ+ Youth Subnetwork. The Trevor Project serves nearly 50% of the LGBTQ+ youth specialized services' contact volume. In 2024 alone, The Trevor Project directly served more than 231,000 crisis contacts, and trained and supported nearly 250 crisis counselors and operational support staff to support the 988 Lifeline. Previously, the LGBTQ+ Youth Subnetwork received up to $50 million in restricted federal funds to provide these life-saving services. The Trevor Project's supporters in the House and Senate advocated for the continued funding for these life-saving programs. The organization launched a petition to demand lawmakers protect LGBTQ+ youth and an Emergency Lifeline fundraising campaign. On June 2, 2025, more than 100 entertainment icons – across film, music, TV, sports, theater, comedy, fashion, culinary arts, and book publishing – joined The Trevor Project's sign-on letter to protect federal funding for LGBTQ+ youth suicide prevention. If you or someone you know needs help or support, The Trevor Project's trained crisis counselors are available 24/7 at 1-866-488-7386, via chat at TheTrevorProject.org/Get-Help, or by texting START to 678678.
