A Prayer to Bear Lasting Fruit in Every Season

Fruit is seasonal—and so are we. This devotional begins with a simple picture of how produce changes depending on the time of year: fresh, vibrant options at a farmer’s market in spring and summer, and a different kind of supply in winter. That rhythm becomes a gentle metaphor for the spiritual life. Jesus calls us to bear fruit that lasts, but what happens when we feel like we’re in a “winter season”—spiritually dry, emotionally worn down, or stuck in a place that feels barren? John 15 reminds us that fruitfulness isn’t ultimately about our effort—it’s about abiding. Jesus is the Vine, and we are the branches. When life feels hard and hope feels thin, the temptation is to fixate on the season itself—how long it’s lasting, how painful it is, and why it won’t change. But the devotional offers a reframing: winter can actually be a time of growth beneath the surface. Just as roots grow deeper during colder months, difficult seasons can strengthen our spiritual foundation if we keep our eyes on Christ and stay connected to Him. The warning is also real: isolation is dangerous in winter. When we disconnect from God’s Word and from other believers, despair can set in, and we become more vulnerable to discouragement. That’s why community matters. The devotional encourages finding “oaks of righteousness”—faithful people who can pray with you, check in, study Scripture alongside you, and help keep you anchored when your own strength feels limited. Sometimes, when you’re struggling to hold onto the Vine, God uses others to help nourish you with encouragement and truth. The hope is this: if you continue to abide in Jesus, fruit will come again. Even if the season doesn’t change quickly, God is still tending you. The Vine-dresser cares for you, chose you, and intends for your life to bear lasting fruit—no matter what season you’re in. Main Takeaways Spiritual life has seasons; “winter” seasons can feel barren but can still be deeply formative. Fruitfulness comes from abiding in Jesus, not striving in your own strength. Winter can be a time for roots to grow deeper—strength that forms beneath the surface. Isolation makes difficult seasons harder; community provides nourishment and encouragement. God is faithful in every season and can produce lasting fruit through your life, even in suffering. Today’s Bible Verse “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.” - John 15:16, ESV Your Daily Prayer Here is a brief excerpt from today’s prayer: “Help me to abide in the Vine… May You use my life to bear lasting fruit in every season, no matter how difficult.” You can listen to the full prayer here or read the devotional at the links below. I'm so grateful for God's grace! What does it mean to be a "doer of the word"? Why did a man sacrifice his own daughter in Judges 11? Is Jesus the Father?

    Broadcasts – Christian Working Woman

Presented by Lauren Stibgen The Oxford language dictionary defines evangelism as the spreading of the Christian gospel by public preaching or personal witness.[1] It is also defined as zealous advocacy of a cause. Merriam-webster.com defines evangelism as a winning or revival of personal commitments to Christ, and it's also defined as militant or crusading zeal.[2] An evangelist is, therefore, someone who spreads the gospel by preaching or personal witness, winning personal commitments to Christ—and, I would add, with zeal! There are three ways to consider evangelism: proclamation, incarnational/relational, and apologetic/intellectual. Proclamation evangelism is the preaching mentioned above. It is a direct telling of the gospel to others. You probably will not be deploying this tactic at work, unless you are a preacher! Incarnational/relational evangelism is the living it out—building relationships and sharing your faith at work, with a bit of apologetic/intellectual evangelism as well. Meaning, you will need to be able to explain why you are living it out. One of the most relevant definitions of evangelism I have read is this working definition presented by the Theology of Work project that says, “Evangelism is the organic process of intentionally engaging individuals in their spiritual journey, joining the Holy Spirit, watching for where he is already at work to help these individuals take one step closer to God and a new life in Christ, becoming the unique reflection of the image of Christ as the resurrected, glorified persons God intended.”[3] This punctuates that evangelism is focused on the individual, and not some large group of people. We certainly come across many individuals during our workday! But why evangelize? Isn't this for the well-trained and professionals? And, surely, we shouldn't do this at work—or should we? Studies show 90% of church going people who come to Christ as adults do so because of a relationship with one or more Christians outside of the four walls of the church. With many of these adults going to work, this makes our workplace evangelism key to God's plan for salvation! Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you (Matthew 28:19-20). Earlier in Matthew 9:37-38 Jesus tells his disciples, the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. I want to remind you the disciples were not some well-studied priests of the time. And remember, Jesus was a humble carpenter before he began his ministry. God did not call the qualified, he qualified the called! Thinking about the disciples as fishermen and a tax collector and Jesus as a carpenter, helps me to feel more qualified in my calling to be an evangelist at work! Our purpose here at The Christian Working Woman is to encourage, equip, and empower Christians in the workplace to love Christ more, to live their daily lives by biblical principles, and to go to their jobs as ambassadors for Jesus Christ. Rooted in the verse from 2 Corinthians 5:20, which tells us we are Christ's ambassadors, we are here in ministry to help you grow as workplace evangelists. Clearly the word evangelism is rooted in our faith as followers of Jesus Christ. Are you zealous about it yet? Many women I encounter don't feel like they can share their faith at work. Whether it is feeling unqualified to share the gospel or simply fearing it will not be welcomed, there are more perceived obstacles than there are perceived open doors for Jesus at work. This is one of the reasons I like the working definition from the Theology of Work project mentioned earlier. The definition helps us frame the process of evangelism at work rather than simply telling us, “Hey, go proclaim Christ at work!” Evangelism is an organic process, specifically meaning it happens naturally. We don't need to get all worked up and plan it all out. Consider the examples we have in the Bible. First Jesus. Notice how he shared his good news with others. His evangelism was incarnational and relational in every way with a touch of apologetic wisdom! Even though I am sure Jesus divinely knew who he would encounter, he wasn't on a direct quest to find them, except for the disciples. They came to him. He encountered the woman at the well when he was thirsty, and he encountered the bleeding woman as he was going to heal another's child. Think about the healing of the demon possessed man when the evil spirits were cast into the pigs. This man was in Jesus's path as he arrived from crossing the sea. Think about the leper needing healing. He was also in Jesus's path. Finally, the criminal on the cross at the crucifixion. Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise” (Luke 23:42-43). Now, I am not saying Jesus wasn't a preacher evangelist. We absolutely see Jesus speaking to great crowds and in the synagogue, but it happened organically. Evangelism at work can happen organically throughout the course of your day. It can be in a breakroom, or after a meeting. It could be grabbing a cup of coffee with a colleague you want to know better. If we pay attention to the example of Jesus, we also see he is intentional in how he engages each one of the people in his path. He engages individuals! Each one had a need, even before they knew they needed Jesus. Whether it was healing, food, or even a friend, Jesus met people where they were at. Being intentionally engaging with others was the next part of the definition I mentioned earlier. The Word is clear in Matthew 18:12. What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off (Matthew 18:12)? How can you intentionally engage with others? How can you help with the search for the one? Before you share the gospel with someone, have you ever considered what you know about them? Jesus had a clear advantage in being all knowing, so we will need to be good listeners and good at asking questions! In James 1:19, the word tells us to be quick to listen and slow to speak. Listen to colleagues when they talk about what they did over the weekend or even after work. Listen when they talk about family, favorite hobbies, or holiday plans! Next, discern if you can come alongside them in any way. Again, thinking of Jesus. How are you serving those around you? …not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others (Philippians 2:4). How can you extend intentional kindness to someone? Is it an encouraging word or an expression of gratitude? Is it bringing someone a cup of coffee, or lunch? Perhaps it is simply the act of listening itself. These organic and intentional engagements can build trust and a connection to start naturally sharing about your faith when it fits into the conversation, of course making sure it isn't making the other person feel uncomfortable. Has someone expressed a feeling like sadness, anger, concern, or fear? Maybe you can relate and mention how your faith has helped you in a similar situation. Ultimately, you will need to be prepared to make a defense if anyone asks you for a reason for the hope you have. 1 Peter 3:15 tells us to do this with gentleness and respect. I would encourage you to make a list of ways God has helped you. This way, examples will be top of mind if this ever comes up! As you are deploying this organic and intentional evangelism, be encouraged! You are not expected to evangelize alone. Jesus has given to us the power of the Holy Spirit to help guide every situation. The early church was filled with evangelists just like you and me! Acts 1:8 promised they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them. And they would be Jesus's witnesses in Jerusalem and in all of Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth. Do not be anxious about how you should defend yourself or what you should say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say (Luke 12: 11-12). It is less about the perfect words and more about the ability to be a witness of Jesus through your life. How are people seeing the incarnational and relational Jesus through you? Paul reminds us of this. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me (Galatians 2:20). Allow Christ to work through you! You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden (Matthew 5:14). And remember you are not solely responsible for saving anyone! No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day (John 6:44). Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). You are merely the ambassador representative, a laborer in the harvest. While you may be a very important part of God's plan for someone's salvation, you simply are just that—one part. Paul beautifully states this. By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 3:10-11). Jesus is the foundation of everything. Every interaction, every way you “build” into an individual's faith journey. Remember the statistic I spoke about as we stated our time today? 90% of adults making a decision for Christ are doing so because of interactions outside of the Church! Back to evangelizing at work. As you intentionally engage with others through the help of the Holy Spirt, take time to discern where God is working. Does someone show extra interest in your conversations about reading the Bible or joining a Bible study you are part of? Are they asking questions about why you are different when things seem to all be chaos around at work? These can be the promptings of the Holy Spirit drawing someone closer to Jesus! At your job, help people keep taking steps closer to God. Thinking of a builder placing one piece of a house at a time, place something simple each day and return. Perhaps you will be able to celebrate with someone that turns to a new life in Christ! Consider yourself and evangelist today! Pray about who will come organically into your path, intentionally engage them and lean in to how the Holy Spirit can move through you! A Prayer to Forgive Others As Christ Forgives Me

Forgiveness can feel impossible when someone has truly hurt you—especially when the offense was intentional, public, or deeply damaging. Today’s devotional doesn’t pretend forgiveness is easy. It acknowledges the very real emotions that rise up when we’ve been lied about, betrayed, or harmed, and it names what many of us experience: bitterness and grudges can quietly take root and begin to affect our walk with God. The devotional points us back to Jesus’ clear teaching in Matthew 6:14–15: forgiveness is not optional for the believer. God has freely forgiven us, not because we earned it, but because of Christ. That truth becomes the foundation for how we treat others. When we refuse to forgive, it doesn’t just strain relationships—it also creates distance in our fellowship with God, because unforgiveness keeps our hearts closed, guarded, and resistant to His work in us. We’re reminded that forgiving others is a pathway to freedom. It doesn’t erase the wrong or pretend the pain didn’t happen, but it releases bitterness and returns the weight of justice to God. Forgiveness is also an outward witness: when we forgive as Christ forgives, we display the grace we’ve received and reflect the love of Jesus to believers and unbelievers alike. Finally, the devotional emphasizes that forgiveness is sustained by closeness with God. Keeping communication open with Jesus—through prayer, repentance, and humility—helps us remember that we are finite, flawed people saved by grace. And because God continues to forgive us as we confess and grow, we can ask Him for the strength to forgive again and again. Main Takeaways Forgiveness can be deeply difficult, but Jesus calls believers to forgive as an act of obedience and love. Unforgiveness can foster bitterness and hinder your fellowship with God. God’s forgiveness is freely given through Christ; we extend forgiveness because we’ve received grace. Forgiveness releases the burden of resentment and allows you to walk in peace and freedom. Staying close to Jesus through prayer and repentance helps soften our hearts to forgive repeatedly. Today’s Bible Verse For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. - Matthew 6:14-15 Your Daily Prayer Here is a brief excerpt from today’s prayer: “Help me to forgive others as you forgive me… Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me.” You can listen to the full prayer here or read devotional at the links below. It's Friday, January 30th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian activists call for self-defense measures for Christians In the middle of the night, Islamic Fulani militias brutally killed seven Nigerian Christian men in a coordinated attack on a mining site in the Plateau State, reports International Christian Concern. The incident has reignited long-standing fears of targeted violence against Christian communities and intensified calls for lawful self-defense amid persistent insecurity. Military sources confirmed that the attack occurred at about 1 a.m. last Thursday when Islamic Fulani militias stormed the site, opening fire on miners who had remained overnight. At the graveside, grief gave way to anger, frustration, and an unmistakable sense of abandonment. Weeping relatives and neighbors spoke of fathers and sons lost — not in open combat, but while struggling to survive in an economy that has pushed many into mining at night which has been banned. Human rights advocate Alex Barbir said, “This is no longer just about illegal mining. It is about our people being hunted in the night, killed without mercy, and buried without justice. How long do we continue to die quietly?” He argued that communities must be empowered to defend themselves where the state has repeatedly failed to provide adequate security. Rev. Dachomo agreed, saying, “We preach peace, but peace must not mean surrender to slaughter.  The right to life is sacred, and protecting that life is not a crime.” Anglican pastor protests confirmation of woke female Archbishop of Canterbury The formal confirmation of Sarah Mullally as the new Anglican archbishop of Canterbury was interrupted when a bold pastor publicly objected and was forcibly removed from the service, reports LifeSiteNews.com. On Wednesday, during the Confirmation of Election service for Sarah Mullally at St. Paul's Cathedral in London, Anglican pastor Paul Williamson stood up and shouted his objection after the officiant falsely declared that no opposition had been presented, leading to his restraint and removal from the cathedral by security personnel. Listen. OFFICIANT: “Endorsed on this mandate is a certificate which verifies that public notice was duly given as required and that no person has appeared in opposition to the confirmation.” WILLIAMSON: “I did!” (rest of audio undiscernible) Williamson claimed he was "nearly pushed down the stairs" outside by "four heavies" during his removal from the cathedral on Wednesday. Williamson's protest highlighted ongoing divisions over Mullally's appointment within the Anglican Communion, which has been fracturing for years over sexuality and gender.  1 Corinthians 14:24 says, “Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says.” On January 26, 2015, during the consecration service at York Minster for Libby Lane, who was to become the Church of England's first female bishop, Williamson was the lone dissenting voice when the gathered clergy were asked whether she should be ordained. And, in 2005, Williamson protested against the legality of the marriage of Charles, Prince of Wales to Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, reported The Guardian. Trump warns Iran 'time is running out' as US military builds up in Gulf President Donald Trump has warned Iran that "time is running out" to negotiate a deal on its nuclear program following the steady build-up of US military forces in the Gulf, reports the British Broadcasting Corporation. The US president said a "massive Armada" was "moving quickly, with great power, enthusiasm, and purpose" towards Iran, referring to a large US naval fleet. In response, Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, said the country's armed forces were ready "with their fingers on the trigger" to "immediately and powerfully respond" to any aggression by land or sea. Trump's latest warning follows his promise that Washington will intervene to help those involved in the brutal and unprecedented crackdown on protests in the country earlier this month. Demonstrations began after a sharp fall in the value of the Iranian currency, but swiftly evolved into a crisis of legitimacy for the country's clerical leadership of the Islamic regime. Apple cider vinegar was sprayed on Rep. Ilhan Omar A man accused of attacking Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, a Somali-American, during a town hall event on Tuesday reportedly sprayed apple cider vinegar on her, reports Fox News. Anthony James Kazmierczak, age 55, was seen on video lunging at Congresswoman Omar while spraying an unknown substance on her shirt out of a syringe. Right before the attack, Omar called for the resignation or impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, following two fatal shootings involving federal immigration enforcement agents in Minneapolis. Listen to the lead up to the attack. OMAR: “DHS Secretary Kristi Noem must resign or face impeachment.” (audio of attack) At the time of the attack, Kazmierczak said, “She's not resigning. You're splitting Minnesotans apart,” according to The Western Journal. Man paints over heretical billboard to read 'Jesus is God' A viral video shows a man painting over a heretical billboard campaign in California, altering the message to read, “The Bible says … Jesus is ___ God,” reports The Christian Post. The undated video shows an unidentified man atop a billboard platform with the Los Angeles skyline behind it as he paints over the word “Not” in the ad which had initially stated “Jesus is Not God”, transforming the billboard into a proclamation of faith.  World's Last Chance, the group behind the billboard, claims the message is part of “four billboard themes that dare to shatter the chains of long-held misconceptions.” In addition to the Jesus billboard, which adds the text, “Jesus did not pre-exist in Heaven,” the group's website lists three others, including one that attacks Trinitarian theology and another promoting the so-called “flat earth” theory. In addition to the billboard campaign, the World's Last Chance website features several videos purportedly “debunking” the deity of Jesus and the Trinity.  The billboard campaign has been reportedly spotted in California, Georgia, and other states. In a January 21st video, author and Living Waters founder and CEO Ray Comfort responded to the billboard remodeling job with a stark warning about the impact of false teaching in the public square. Listen. COMFORT: “These signs have been erected by a strange sect that claims to believe the Scriptures, yet openly denies the deity of Christ -- a contradiction the Bible doesn't permit. “Scripture plainly teaches that God was manifest in the flesh [1 Timothy 3:16] and that Jesus Christ is ‘the image of the invisible God' [Colossians 1:15] and ‘the express image of His person.' [Hebrews 1:3] Jesus Himself said, ‘I came down from Heaven,' [John 6:38] and ‘Before Abraham was, I am' [John 8:58], a direct claim to deity that His hearers understood clearly. “He is not merely a moral teacher or a created being, but the Creator Himself. ‘For all things were made through Him and without Him nothing was made that was made.' [John 1:3] The Bible warns that any teaching that denies the Son is not from God.  ‘Who is a liar? He that denies that Jesus is the Christ, he is the Antichrist, who denies the Father and the Son.' [1 John 2:22]. This is the spirit of antichrist, which John says was already active in his day and continues now.” [1 John 4:2-3] Updated link to children's book on Martin Luther's wife And finally, yesterday, as we noted the 427th anniversary of the birthday of Martin Luther's wife, Katherine von Bora, I referenced a beautifully illustrated children's book entitled Katharine von Bora: The Morning Star of Wittenberg. Written by twins Jenna and Shanna Strackbein, I initially linked to Amazon if you wanted to purchase it.  However, because they have not restocked the book, you can get a copy through Generations. Jim Morrison, a 26-year veteran of marriage and father of three (ages 24, 22, and 19), shares his unconventional approach to fatherhood that rebels against the idea that parenting ends at 18. As an insurance broker with 36 years of experience, Jim has learned to prioritize presence over perfection, building a family culture around travel, embracing failure as a gift, and maintaining deep relationships with his adult children. From coaching losing baseball seasons to picking his son up from LAX at 9 PM just to be the first face he sees, Jim demonstrates that fatherhood is a marathon requiring consistent showing up. He discusses the power of experiences over possessions, the importance of teaching financial literacy, how he and his wife navigated a five-year break before marriage, and why he believes surrounding your kids with the right community matters more than constant advice-giving. Jim's philosophy centers on making his children feel valued and important—not just loved—while preparing them for independence through international travel, mission trips, and letting them experience failure. This conversation will challenge fathers to think differently about their role beyond the teenage years and inspire them to create a family legacy built on experiences, presence, and unconditional relationship.Chapters:(00:00:00) - Introduction: Three Key Nuggets on Fatherhood(00:17:00) - The Role of a Father: Being Present(00:21:00) - When Did Fatherhood Click?(00:24:00) - The Gift of Failure: Book That Changed Everything(00:30:00) - Supporting Adult Kids Without Enabling Them(00:36:00) - Learning from His Own Father's Story(00:42:00) - Choosing Relationship Over Being Right(00:46:00) - Why Family Travel Became Their Foundation(00:50:00) - Favorite Family Vacations: Croatia and Africa(00:55:00) - Work Will Always Be There—Your Kids Won't(00:56:00) - Legacy: Making People Feel Valued and Important---------Transform Your Body with Ned & RUK Fitness: RUK FitnessThis episode is sponsored by The Adventure of FatherhoodOrder The Adventure of Fatherhood children's book hereCheck out the TEDx----------Want to learn more about The Adventure of Fatherhood?https://www.adventureoffatherhood.com/https://www.rebelandcreate.com/Each week Ned sits down with a dad and asks him to open up his field notes and share with other men who find themselves on the Adventure of Fatherhood. What if the lives of the men and women in Scripture seem radical not because they were extraordinary, but because God was truly at the center of everything? In this episode of Tent Talk, Nancy challenges the assumption that biblical faith is reserved for spiritual elites and calls listeners to reconsider what it actually means to live unto Him rather than unto self. She explores the danger of crafting a God in our own image, the subtle seduction of “another Jesus,” and the costly grace that restores proper order between Creator and creature. This conversation presses us beyond admiration into transformation, inviting us to yield fully to the God who reveals Himself—not as we imagine Him, but as He is. Thanks for Listening! Should I expect to have an easy life following Jesus? Being a Christian does not mean comfort or ease, as culture would define it. Brian Delamont, Executive Vice President of TeachBeyond, unpacks Scriptural truths about blessing, contentment, and abundance from a Kingdom perspective. Deuteronomy 28 Psalm 136 Matthew 20:18-19 John 16:32-33 "When we face difficulties, when life is not easy, the Father is with us." "Life is not easy. There will be trouble. [...] However, take heart! I have overcome the world." "You don't give to get." Malachi 3:10 2 Corinthians 9:7-9 2 Corinthians 1:3-7 Genesis 2:15 "Being in God's creation and working it, taking care of what God had given, is part of God's original good plan for humanity. It's not an easy life; it's a good and meaningful life!" Genesis 3:16-19, 23 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 "God knows that an easy life isn't in our best interest [...] but an abundant life is in our best interest. It's His blessing, His presence, and His Kingdom." "Jesus does say that we will have trouble, but He is also with us in the trouble, so that's how we can take heart - because He has overcome, He is greater, He is kinder than whatever discomfort we are facing."  Philippians 4:10-13 "It's not easy all the time, and we know it won't be, yet God is able to care for you, to bless you and to be with you, even when it's tremendously difficult." What if you're already sitting on more blessings than you realize? After weeks of talking about sin and negative programming, Dr. Alex Lloyd and Harry bring the good news: God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit have given you gifts that completely tidal wave your struggles. This isn't feel-good fluff—this is a comprehensive, scripture-backed catalog of what you actually receive from the Trinity. WHAT YOU'LL DISCOVER IN THIS EPISODE: - The complete list of gifts from God the Father (presence, power, glory, light, love, grace, and more) - What Jesus specifically gives you that the Father doesn't (His way, truth, life, righteousness, peace) - The unique blessings only the Holy Spirit provides (comfort, perfect counsel, fruit of the Spirit, power) - Why you receive love, peace, and grace from all three—and why that matters - What "glory" actually means in Old vs. New Testament (Harry's word study insights) - Why guilt and shame DON'T come from God (even when you've sinned) - The experiential difference between natural living and living in these gifts - How Harry's life transformed over 2-3 years by intentionally pursuing these blessings KEY TOPICS COVERED: God's Presence Everywhere - Psalm 139: "Where can I go that you're not there?" Supernatural Power vs. Natural Strength - Ephesians 3 The "Weight" of God's Glory That Fills the Earth Miraculous Light That Cleanses and Heals The New Heart and New Spirit Promise - Ezekiel 36:26-27 Being Made a New Creation - 2 Corinthians 5:17 Seated with Christ in Heaven's Throne Room - Ephesians 2:6 Jesus as Both Your Judge AND Defense Attorney The Mind of Christ and Being His Bride His Righteousness Imputed to You (How God judges you righteous even when you remember sinning) Love Beyond Knowledge - Ephesians 3:17-19 Peace That Passes Understanding Holy Spirit's Perfect Counsel for Your Specific Moment Fruit of the Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Kindness, Goodness, Faith, Humility, Self-Control The Same Power That Raised Jesus From the Dead Working in You Life and Health to Your Mortal Body - Romans 8:11 Unlimited Forgiveness (70 times 7) Propitiation: Jesus Takes Your Place The All-Encompassing Grace of God POWERFUL QUOTES FROM THIS EPISODE: "Love is God in motion." - Harry Lloyd "Would you rather have unconditional love from one person or two or three? You're getting it from all three persons of the Trinity." - Dr. Alex Lloyd "The experiential difference between this and what you might call the natural way of living... it is amazing how the trend of my life has been consistently upwards in the ways that really matter most." - Harry Lloyd "Guilt and shame don't come from God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit—at least not if you're committed to them in your life." - Dr. Alex Lloyd WORD STUDY INSIGHTS (from Harry): Glory (Old Testament): Refers to a substance of glory Glory (New Testament): God's definition of what value is, how it's structured, where it comes from—the hierarchy behind every kind of value Light: The physical manifestation of God's glory or presence Love: "God in motion"—the mechanism that underlies everything Grace: Literally means "unearned favor" IMPORTANT CLARIFICATIONS: - This doesn't mean life becomes problem-free—there is no path without pain, suffering, and sin on this earth - God won't take away your free will, even at 99 years old - These gifts lead to "lesser and lesser" problems over time, not elimination - Based on God's will for your specific situation (He sometimes uses health problems as "bumper guards") - You shouldn't accept this on Dr. Alex and Harry's say-so—Harry seriously studied atheism and apologetics before committing PRACTICAL APPLICATION: Dr. Alex suggests focusing on what God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit DO rather than dwelling on sin, guilt, shame, and selfishness. Consider writing down these gift lists and reviewing them regularly to shift your focus from the negative to the abundant blessings you already have. Most Catholic men do not understand what happened to them at baptism. That ignorance is costing them their faith, their families, and their fire.In this episode of The Manly Catholic, Fr. Dom delivers a direct and uncompromising reflection on the Baptism of the Lord and why baptism is not a symbolic ritual, but the most powerful moment of your life. This is not theology for the classroom. This is theology for the battlefield.Drawing from Sacred Scripture, the Church's teaching, and lived experience, this episode exposes how men have reduced baptism to a checkbox event instead of a daily reality that should shape how they pray, fight sin, lead their homes, and engage the world. You will hear why Jesus submitted Himself to baptism despite being sinless, how baptism destroys original sin, adopts you as a son of God, and opens the gates of heaven through the sacraments. You will also hear a hard challenge to reject the passive, Protestantized thinking that delays baptism and strips it of urgency and power. This episode confronts the loss of missionary zeal, the failure of fathers to take spiritual responsibility, and the modern lie that baptism is optional or merely symbolic. It calls Catholic men to reclaim baptism as a source of strength, identity, and daily conversion. If you are tired of lukewarm faith, tired of excuses, and tired of seeing Catholic men live beneath their calling, this episode is for you.3 Powerful Quotes from the Episode“Baptism is the most important and powerful gift that God gives us.”“Jesus Christ is not a pacifist or a weak man. He is complete and utter power. And that is love.”“We completely underestimate the power of baptism, and we are living far below what God has given us.”1 Key Takeaway for MenBegin praying with your baptism every day. Start with this: “Thank you, God, for the gift of my baptism.” Let that identity shape how you fight sin, lead your family, and live your faith. This is not optional. This is who you are.

Paul's letter to the Romans contains some of the most meaningful and thought provoking words in Scripture. It is extremely challenging to read it and embrace all its' points in our minds.  Maybe, more than any other book in the Bible, this book calls for our diligent and meditative study.  But this is the challenge of the whole Bible, it is not at all like a school text book that you go through in a year's study and then leave on the shelf for occasional reference.  God's word is designed by him for our lifelong reading and reflection. Paul had been brought up under the Law of Moses with all its rules and regulations.  He had been zealous for the Law, but, as a result of his dramatic conversion on the road to Damascus, he had, with God's help through the Spirit, applied his mind to the new reality of eternal things – especially – to a personal relationship to his Saviour. The Law of Moses was a Law for Israel as a nation. This Law had been superseded by a situation in which each individual needed to develop a personal relationship with their Saviour the Lord Jesus and with his Father – and through him – is now ‘Our Father.'   Paul writes, “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.  For the creation waits with eager longing …” [8 v.18,19]  This sense of eagerness is felt by all those who see the emptiness in so much of what people enjoy today:  But it is all “creation” that waits for the removal of the curse imposed in Eden.  We learn in Genesis how God said to Adam “cursed is the ground because of you” [Gen. 3 v.17]  Paul goes on to say we “groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons (& daughters), the redemption of our bodies” [v.23]   How true is the word eagerly – especially as we grow older and our minds and bodies feel the effects.   Those who find this life satisfying and enjoyable will not genuinely “wait eagerly” for that which is going to replace it. But for many in the world this life offers little that is enjoyable – so they are often in a far more spiritually acceptable frame of mind before God. Finally, let us all read carefully and prayerfully the last 8 verses (31-39) of Romans ch 8.

In this New Year episode, Fr. Harry and Fr. Anthony challenge the casual habit of saying “my church” by reframing ecclesial identity: the Church is of God—not our possession, but the place to which we belong, purchased by Christ's blood (Acts 20) and built as a household on the apostolic foundation with Christ as cornerstone (Eph. 2:18–20). They trace how the Church's catholic “wholeness” is Trinitarian—the Body of Christ, the temple of the Holy Spirit, and the people of the Father—made real through baptism, chrismation, and the Eucharist. Along the way, they clarify Christ's unique mediation (mesitēs), show why the Church can be called “of Christ” without diminishing the Trinity, and close with Theophany's vivid sacramental imagery—especially the ancient practice of breathing/blowing over the waters as participation, not mere remembrance.

We can learn a lot about the nature of God from his Divine Name revealed in Scripture. When God said to Moses, “I am who I am,” this was a revelation of a name as well as a refusal of a name. Fr. Mike explains how this mystery reveals truths about God: he is infinitely above all things; we cannot comprehend him, yet he draws close to us. This Divine Name expresses the steadfast, faithful, unchanging love of God for his people, even when we betray and abandon him. Today's readings are Catechism paragraphs 205-211. He was from the pagan Persian aristocracy, but came to faith in Christ and left his home for the Christian city of Edessa, where he was baptized. He later moved to Antioch, where he lived in prayer and asceticism a short distance from the city. He ate nothing but a small amount of bread until he was extremely old, when he added some greens to his diet. Though he knew very little Greek, he was empowered by the Holy Spirit to win many converts to Christ and to confound the learned Arian heretics who were disturbing the Church in Antioch.   When Aphrahat learned that the Arian Emperor Valens was persecuting Christ's Church, he moved to the city to support the true Faith. One day the Emperor himself met Aphrahat in the city square and asked him why he had left his solitude and come to Antioch. The Saint answered 'Tell me this: if I were a maiden at home in my secluded apartment and saw someone setting fire to my father's house, would you not advise me to put out the blaze as soon as possible? That is what I am doing now, because the Church, the heavenly Father's house, is burning down inthe fire that you have set!' One of the Emperor's attendants threatened Aphrahat with death for this impertinence; but the attendant himself later perished, drowned as he was heating water for the Emperor's bath. This made the Emperor afraid to persecute the holy one, who continued to preach the true Faith and to perform many miracles. He reposed in peace.

Coexistence and the belief that everyone's god is the same is one step closer to one world religion. When such theology is encouraged, people can be misled from the one true messiah. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me." The road to the Father is narrow, so don't let anyone fool you into thinking it's a wide-open path.

We often hear people speak of "simple life forms" or the "simple cell." Is there really such a thing as "simple life?" Although we often speak of the "simple cell," there really is no such thing as a simple form of life. Even the single-celled creature is a highly complex organism.Let's imagine building a model of the cell, using atoms, each the size of a tennis ball. The typical cell has about 10 million atoms. In our model, the cell would be over ten miles in diameter! Now let's look inside the cell and see whether it is simple or not. First of all, we would see lots of activity going on almost everywhere. This is because this single cell has to carry out all the same jobs that your body uses many different organs to accomplish.Inside the cell, we would see structures that digest food and others that carry off the waste from food. Other structures would be busy carrying off the waste produced by the cell itself. The cell must also contain everything it needs to reproduce. And remember, while we have many complex and different organs to do all this, the cell must to it all without those organs.Humans have never even come close to creating anything like this. Surely the cell is not simple! Science cannot explain the cell by any natural laws it knows. Scripture is correct when it tells us that the origin of the cell—and everything else—is the superior power and wisdom of God.Job 37:8"The animals enter dens, and remain in their lairs."Prayer: Dear heavenly Father; You are defamed when the world talked of even one living cell as "simple." If someone spoke so of my best friend, I would speak in his defense. So let me boldly speak in defense of Your truth, my only heavenly Father. In Jesus' Name. Special guest Maureen Carrott recalls the impression the book The Hiding Place had on her as a 13-year-old girl. Corrie Ten Boom, the author, was imprisoned in a concentration camp alongside her sister Betsie. Betsie suggested they give thanks to God for the fleas that nipped painfully at their skin. Other stories, like the biblical story of Joseph, also instilled within Maureen that gratitude should transcend circumstances. As this episode is airing, wife, mother, grandmother, friend to many around the world, and missionary Maureen went home to be with the Lord on December 16, 2025. She began Crown of Beauty ministry with Sue Corl in 2005 in East Asia. They served together for seven years, and then several mission trips afterward. From the beginning, Maureen insisted that we offer one-on-one or small group prayer counseling at each conference. Most say that this is the highlight of each conference. Her honest, Christ-centered, vulnerable, joyful spirit and love for everyone we served brought healing to women wherever she went. Sue could not have pioneered this ministry without her. As Sue's best friend, their ministry to the Chinese, Thai Karen, Lebanese, English, and Ugandan women was truly one of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences of their lives. In this final message of our Supernatural pillar series, Dan Weber breaks down the practical mechanics of hearing the Father, moving us from mystery to maturity. Using 1 Corinthians 14 and his own journey from "Roofer Dan" to revivalist, he demystifies the prophetic process. He explains that hearing the voice (Revelation) is just the beginning. The real stewardship happens in understanding what it means (Interpretation) and knowing when to act (Application). If you've ever wondered, "Was that God, me, or the pizza I ate?" this message will equip you with a simple filter to distinguish the Father's voice from the noise. In this episode, we discuss the nature of God, “who” God is, beginning with God the Father. Our reading explains how the Creed begins with God the Father because he is the first Divine Person of the most Holy Trinity. God is one Divine Being made up of three persons, and his identity is a deep mystery. Fr. Mike explains that God is a single ‘what' made up of three ‘who's.' Despite this mystery, God is not an anonymous force. He has revealed himself to us by making his name known to us, and he has thus made himself accessible. Today's readings are Catechism paragraphs 198-204. This episode has been found to be in conformity with the Catechism by the Institute on the Catechism, under the Subcommittee on the Catechism, USCCB.
