In this episode, I share insights from a recent VIP retreat where I worked with a small group of clients to help them transform their lives and move fully from stage three to stages four and five of healing from betrayal. The key theme that emerged was the importance of willingness. Here are the five crucial traits of willingness that can significantly impact your healing journey: Willingness to Move Out of Your Comfort Zone: Growth begins outside your comfort zone. Change won't happen if you stay within familiar confines. Challenge yourself to embrace discomfort as a sign of progress. Willingness to Venture into the Unknown: Stepping into the unknown is necessary for true transformation. This means being open to new experiences and trusting the process, even when the outcome is uncertain. Willingness to Think Bigger: Expand your perspective and challenge your current limitations. Thinking bigger allows you to break free from restrictive beliefs and envision a more empowered future. Willingness to Give Up Your Story: Letting go of the painful narrative that defines your betrayal allows for the creation of a more empowering story. This shift is crucial for moving beyond being stuck in past hurt. Willingness to Embrace Hard Now, Easy Later: Short-term discomfort and hard work lead to long-term ease and fulfillment. Making drastic changes and addressing the root issues head-on is essential for lasting transformation. Key Takeaways: Comfort Zone: Life and change happen outside of your comfort zone. Embrace discomfort as a sign of growth. Unknown: Being willing to venture into the unknown can lead to significant personal growth and new opportunities. Bigger Thinking: Expand your mindset to achieve more than you initially believed possible. New Story: Reframe your betrayal story into one of empowerment and transformation. Hard Now, Easy Later: Embrace short-term challenges for long-term ease and success. Reflection Questions: Are you willing to move past your comfort zone? Are you open to venturing into the unknown? Can you challenge yourself to think bigger? Are you ready to let go of your current story? Will you embrace hard now for an easier later? Action Steps: Reflect on the areas where you may be stuck in your comfort zone. Identify any fears you have about venturing into the unknown and challenge them. Set a goal to expand your thinking beyond current limitations. Write a new narrative for your betrayal experience that empowers you. Commit to making the hard changes now for long-term benefits. Welcome to the fifty-eighth episode of the Lessons from the Cockpit podcast. We are going to talk about nukes since there is so much about a possible WW III in all the media. President Ronald Reagan created the world's best nuclear deterrent capability in Strategic Air Command as he poured money into the military after years of neglect. The timeframe from when I showed up at the 509th Air Refueling Squadron in 1985 to 1990 when I left Pease as it was closing was a great time to be a KC-135 pilot at Portsmouth New Hampshire. I was flying an airplane I loved, doing a critical Air Force mission that was fun, and got to take a T-37 up whenever I could find another Copilot to go with me. It was a golden age of flying in my career. But still very dangerous as every third week I would go into an underground nuclear-hardened bunker and sit on Single Integrated Operations Plan or SIOP alert with six FB-111As carrying four nukes and five to six tankers to refuel them on their mission of Armaggedon. This episode of the Lessons from the Cockpit podcast is sponsored by the Amazon Best-Selling book Tanker Pilot: Lessons from the Cockpit found in all four formats... Hardback, Softback, Kindle, and Audible. Twenty-two chapters give readers a behind-the-scenes look at global air operations from a KC-135. Visit Wall Pilot, custom aviation art for the walls of your home, office, or hanger. You can choose from four, six, and eight-foot-long aircraft profiles printed on vinyl you can peel off and stick to any flat surface. These are very detailed prints of famous aircraft so please go to wallpilot.com and order one or two prints for your walls. Wall Pilot does custom artwork and patches too. Our products are weather resistant... one customer put his F-15 squadron patches on his boat and they stayed put and didn't fade! I loved flying the KC-135 Stratotanker and my assignment to Kadena Air Base in Okinawa was the best flying experience of my career... where I learned the most. The FB-111A was the SAC version of the swing-wing fighter bomber made famous during Desert Storm. This is a print of the FB-111A from Pease AFB I sat alert with many times. The B-58 Hustler named Cowtown Hustler set the speed record for flight from LA to New York and back to LA setting seven speed records until the SR-71 Blackbird came along. The E-6A Mercury Take Charge and Move Out or TACAMO aircraft was flown by the Navy and used for command and control of the submarine forces. The SR-71 Blackbird was SAC's very special and very fast reconnaissance platform moving at over Mach 3+! The Okinawans called it Habu, after a poisonous snake on the island because it looked so much like the reptile. We can learn many wonderful lessons from the design and construction of the tabernacle in the book of Exodus. But overarching them all is the fact the tabernacle is not a permanent monument as seen in Egypt but a temporary dwelling that could be packed up and carried when God began to move. The lesson for us today is to be a mobile people. If you want to experience all God has for you, be ready to move when He says go.
Today's episode is going to be everything about adulting. I feel like I can talk about it, I am 23 and have lived on my own for about a year and a half now, almost two years. I feel like I have gotten a good handle on it and it's still fresh so I understand the thought process and the thoughts that might be going through your head if you're wanting to move out or are going through that process... or maybe you are a recent post-grad or are nearing it. Without dreams, we would be nothing more than robots going through the motions of life. Dreams give us hope and purpose. They remind us that there is more to life than just the here and now. And yet, so many of us settle for small dreams. We convince ourselves that we're being realistic, but in reality, we're just scared— scared of what people will think, scared of failing, scared of not being good enough. Jacqui Bowman has been in the real estate industry for 18 years and has grown her business through relationship-based lead generation. As the market shifted in 2007, 2008, and 2009, she was able to double her business and thrive in the industry. In addition, she served as the CEO and Team Leader at Keller Williams from 2009 to 2012. In the following year, she became a Productivity Coach at the same brokerage. She grew a successful small real estate team of 4 agents but later discovered how to net more money by being a teacher and giver rather than having a traditional team. In 2017, she launched her own national coaching business, Jacqui Bowman Coach. It grew to be one of the top coaching businesses in the real estate industry. Her coaching focuses on living a better life, netting more money, and gaining leverage. In 2017, she partnered with David Best and launched eXp Realty in Ohio. Jacqui is now a top 1% influencer and attractor at eXp Realty with over 30 agents in her front line, and almost 400 in her group. Of the 30 in her front line, 8 are ICON agents, while 8 are capping agents. Her passion and daily talent zone are: helping agents gain confidence, think differently, and create their own vision and version of success in real estate to truly live a better life. Show Notes About Jacqui Brown 1:40 Jacqui has been in the real estate business for 18 years now and opened her business in 2017. Despite her growth experience in her career, she also had bad times, such as getting a divorce, but it also made her become one of the top real estate agents in the market. Keeping Her Foot on The Gas or Continue To Grow 3:33 Jacqui has also been feeling guilty about not doing enough throughout her career. But with her mindset and attitude towards the business, she was able to help agents look better and make their lives better by helping them within the 30 minutes to think differently. 4:52 If Jacqui was to give someone advice, she would probably tell them to surround themselves with people that will help them to remind themselves of everything that they've done and revisit their gains. Jacqui has been making people think differently and gain confidence in their own clarity and their own plan. Celebrate and Focus on the Wins 5:47 Jacqui shares that it's just our worldly environment; there's always something better that we can do better and can always do bigger, and coming to the realization that bigger isn't better; better is better. Move Out of Imposter Syndrome 7:57 It was a struggle for Jacqui in her few years because sometimes it gives her an off-feeling, but it has always been naturally her passion. The Framework 10:11 John shares his experience during his time in his career coaching. He has been coaching people that are not even close to the amount of production that these people are doing. It's all about based on the fundamentals and certain contexts and frameworks. 14:53 Jacqui also agreed with John that it's all about understanding how to do it, and practicing to make it close to perfect, just like what questions to ask them to help them become motivated and move them to greater motivation. The Fear that Stepped Back in Business 18:28 It's about the leverage piece within our career and personal life. Jacqui shares that there's also a lot of guilt, ego, and control. The imposter syndrome or the fear of becoming not deserving that kind of confidence in success and growth in a career. One Way To Succeed 20:58 John and Jacqui share their insight on plenty of ways to fail and the only one way to succeed. Jacqui shows her tattoo on her arm and tells people to believe in themselves, which goes to confidence in the latter. Jacqui believes that many people have a vision, but until they believe they can do that, it will work out. The more you commit to something, the quicker you'll figure it out. 23:52 The only way to succeed is through failure, and it takes either that personal failure or wisdom that will lead you to success and that specific failure will lead you to incredible relationships. Where Does That Inspiration Need To Be Drawn From? 25:52 As John asked Jacqui this question, Jacqui shared some healthy and inspirational insights to this question. It's all about surrounding yourself with people who have done it or with people who have achieved higher than you have. No matter what happens but you're committed to it, it will work out great. The Power of Affirmations and Speaking Positively 31:56 Write down the affirmations. You are brainwashing yourself with your affirmations and making your brain believe them. These are one of the few things that Jacqui shares on having the power of affirmations and speaking positively to yourself. 33:55 "We must be careful about what we say because what we say and hear in our minds is what seeps into the subconscious." John shares some mind-blowing advice that could help you have the power and vision to get better. 38:43 John shares that if we don't believe that we can accomplish anything, that's the time that we will feel defeated. Understanding that sequence will lead you to a much better realization, and you can jump where you need to jump. Once you have that right belief, it will have a domino effect that drives your habits and creates results unless you're not behaving in a certain way. 40:19 "It's all about what we're telling ourselves in those moments until you keep brainwashing your brain to think in that positive side." Jacqui shares that everything comes with programming because it would be very difficult for you to receive if you had already let down yourself. Having a Consistent Gratitude 41:59 John and Jacqui give their tips and share their insights on having gratitude even on the struggles you're experiencing. When it comes to failures, it's about moving forward and learning from them. 47:31 John and Jacqui also share their experiences of being humbled down after several contemplations in their career. To become better leaders, you have to overcome your ego because it will break you into something that wasn't really the goal.

Is move out madness costing you money or making you cranky? The customer tells you "it's not that bad" and then it takes twice as long for the move out clean as you expected. Or maybe after all the cleaning, you realize you underbid the job? Or, how about home sales that are happening with a one-day turnaround and the last-minute cleaning requests are keeping you up till midnight because the new owners are moving in tomorrow? If you haven't already seen Aaron Clarey's video called "Move Out or Stay Home Rent Free" I'm adding a link to it in the description below. I this video the Grand Puba Aaron Clarey says that it's a good idea to stay with your parents when you're young until you can save money for a down payment instead of moving out. Other guys like Rizzle Dizzle say that if you stay with your parents your mental health will suffer if you live with your parents. But I want to talk about a buddy of mine, let's call him John. He currently lives with his mother and he's a man going his own way that still dates but he's doing it to find his Unicorn Nawalt Princess. He's in his mid thirties and lately when he goes on dates women he tells them he lives with his mother and they are no longer disappointed in him and over the last couple of years many women have told him that he must have saved a lot of money living at home all those years, which he has. Women are good at sniffing out resources and now it seems that guys living at home with nice cars and tons of savings are starting to come onto the radar of smart women seeking a host. John's original goal was to purchase a house for cash. He set this goal back in two thousand and three when three bedroom homes in his area were only two hundred and fifty thousand dollars. Similar homes today he has almost double that and cost eight hundred to nine hundred thousand dollars for a crappy semi detached house. I was looking at prices of homes in San Francisco and similar homes were actually cheaper in that city then Toronto, Canada. And San Francisco is a city people actually want to live in. I also read a news story a couple of weeks ago about how housing in Toronto is more expensive then Romeand housing in Vancouver is more expensive the Paris, France. And with the cost of housing getting so crazy expensive in Canada most women know they won't find a guy that can afford to buy them a house so now they are looking for the second best thing, a single guy that lives with his parents, preferably an only child that stands to inherit property from his parents.Video Request-Move Out or Stay Home Rent Freehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdTBv...Marcus A. Today's Story: Money to Move Out
This week's podcast guest is Majora Carter, a real estate visionary, developer, and author who is dedicated to revitalizing communities through talent retention. Her new book “ Reclaiming Your Community: You Don't Have to Move Out of Your Neighborhood to Live in a Better One,” pulls from her deeply personal experience in her own community, the South Bronx. The belief that they have it within themselves to succeed is the cornerstone of the culture that communities must establish to keep their best and brightest asset: their people. Persistent poverty is a problem that is self-replicating for low-status communities, but Majora says the solution lies in reimagining the measuring stick of success. Instead of success being defined by how far away you can get from your hometown, it should be defined by how you can transform it and impact it. This is a critical shift. While this conversation highlights the tangible benefits and opportunities that exist for today's neighborhoods and homegrown entrepreneurs, the real takeaway is how these transformations create ripple effects that last for generations. Looking beyond the immediate task at hand to the broader view of what certain decisions and relationships, investments and developments can do is a central theme of the Leading Voices podcast and the larger Terra/ZRG vision.ResourcesMajora Carter GroupReclaiming Your Community: You Don't Have to Move out of Your Neighborhood to Live in a Better OneGreening the ghetto3 stories of local eco-entrepreneurship

We sit down with filmmaker Richard Ledes to discuss the process of making his film Adieu Lacan, which depicts a successful psychoanalytic intervention by Lacan. Ledes is a fascinating filmmaker who has been compared to David Lynch and his most well-known film is Fred Won't Move Out. Adieu Lacan is available on VOD and is definitely a must-watch!

Majora Carter, an urban revitalization strategist from the South Bronx, argues that gentrification starts when people don't see the value in their own neighborhoods. That's why her approach to community development is centered on creating incentives to encourage successful people to stay in the low-income areas they grew up in. She joins Errol to talk about her new book: “Reclaiming Your Community: You Don't Have to Move Out of Your Neighborhood to Live in a Better One,” where she outlines her strategies to create prosperous local economies and shares her experiences going up against what she calls the “non-profit industrial complex.” JOIN THE CONVERSATION Join the conversation, weigh in on Twitter using the hashtag #NY1YouDecide or give us a call at 212-379-3440 and leave a message. 是否能補上防疫的最後一塊拼圖? https://linshibi.pros.is/3pmv98 MOVe-OUT臨床試驗 https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04575597 MOVe-AHEAD臨床試驗 https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04939428 Merck's antiviral pill reduces hospitalization of Covid patients, a possible game-changer for treatment https://www.statnews.com/2021/10/01/mercks-antiviral-pill-reduces-hospitalization-of-covid-patients-a-possible-game-changer-for-treatment/ 新冠口服藥物懶人包 https://linshibi.com/?p=39749 Delta變種病毒懶人包!
