Which those two things, user experience, and zero trust, are kind of a direct conflict for me, but we'll get to that. The conference was sponsored by AWS and Dynatrace, and it's available on-demand for our listeners at ATARC.org. Also, we have Willie Hicks, our Federal Chief Technologist at Dynatrace. Willie, you were a keynote speaker at the event. I'm too biased to say you were my favorite so I won't say that. I mean, everybody was really good. Jamie was super exciting. Let me just review who our speakers were. So our keynote speaker around zero trust was Grant Schneider. He brought a really interesting perspective because he's former white house. So he was the senior director of cybersecurity services. So former federal CISO, and now he's in industry at Venable. Then we had our next keynote around the user experience was the very entertaining Jamie Holcomb. He's the CIO at U.S. Patent and Trademark office. And then my favorite, Willie, Federal Chief Technology Officer here at Dynatrace. Then we had a panel that brought the user experience and zero trust together and how we reconcile those two and how they work together. And on that panel, we had Nicole Willis, Chief Technology Officer, OIG, at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Is User Experience Unrelated to Zero Trust?Carolyn: Jamie came back on the panel. We had Mickey Iqbal, he's the Public Sector Solution Architect and Chief Technologist at Amazon Web Services. Willie on the panel. And then we had our moderator, Tom Suder, who's fantastic. He's been in this business so long that he had a lot of really good insights too. Now that I've given our listeners the overview of who participated, first of all, I was thrilled to see that we had a packed room. We had a standing room only, and that was really, really nice to see. It was lovely to have people in person and to be able to interact with one another personally. So, all right, let's get to the first question. Today, Mark, you're less of a co-host. I want to hear your opinions about what your takeaways were from that day. So around the user experience and zero trust, did you have any aha moments? What were your favorite moments? Tell me your feelings about the day. Mark: Well you know, from my perspective, coming from industry and Dynatrace, I think we think of end-user experience as something different related to zero trust. So we think of it differently. Carolyn: And at odds with each other. Mark: Yes. Well, I get the feeling more and more, it's more how the end-user navigates the security protocols and processes to accomplish the end goal. Which is not their problem of zero trust, which would be the agency's problem. Hey all, found this old mix digging through old CDs. A mix on the housey side of things, being a big fan of the broken beat scene and the likes of Jazzanova clearly shines through here. Favourites include the deepness of Frank Roger's "Bone of my Bone", the massive Phlash remix of "Stuck" by Peven Everett, an early airing of Dennis Ferrer's remix of "The Cure and The Cause" (going out to Vicky and Agata!), it later charted in 2007 and merited a full release, big tune! Matt made his DJ debut at Driver Bar warming up the crowd with a special two hour playlist of soul, funk, broken beats, deep house, and general groove-bound chunky stuff.Occasionally Matt challenges me to mix some of his tunes, which is never easy given the mix of genres and varying range of BPMs. My Bank Holiday mission lay in blending his playlist from 19 April, and I’m pleased to say that it’s turned out pretty well. Great summer iPod food!Even though it made things more difficult, I stayed pretty true to M’s original running order. I cheated in a couple of places with cuts and simpler segues - BPM geeks won’t blame me given that things vary between 92 and 133. Whatever, there are some great tracks on here and no doubt I’ll be playing some of these smoother tunes as part of my Glasto sets next month.Jon Cutler’s Groove Me and MJ Cole’s remix of Jill Scott are long-term favourites of ours, but I also like some of Matt’s phatter futureboogie-style selects: Fat John, Rhianna, Sia, Detroit Experiment all deserve a little extra volume. Even Osunlade’s Phil Collins re-rub works.I’m not sure about the Vivian Green / Alix Alarvez section. In fact I admit to cutting the Alvarez track to a single verse and chorus because I find it far too bland. It appears I just have no soul. :-)Something different for the podcast.
