Lindsey Schwartz is an entrepreneur and big dreamer. She started her first business part-time at age 26, and over the next several years became an accomplished fitness athlete, full-time entrepreneur, speaker, and author. She is passionate about building community and believes women are most successful when they collaborate and sincerely root for one another to win. Lindsey is the bestselling author of “Powerhouse Woman: How to get out of your own way, fulfill your unique purpose, and live a powerful life.” After seeing numerous women in her life stop short of pursuing their own entrepreneurial dreams because of fear and self-doubt, she saw the need for more honest conversations about the ups & downs of entrepreneurship in order to show women that they don't have to have it all together to get started. From this, the Powerhouse Women community and annual event was born out of the belief that women are designed to create, and that when women get into action around their big ideas, the world works better. April 25th, 2022 marks five years since I released Powerhouse Woman and it feels incredible to look back on how much this community has grown since then. As I'm approaching this anniversary, I'm noticing a theme that's coming up in the groups that I'm involved in and retreats that I've hosted recently. So many women have this undeniable feeling inside that they're meant for more, but maybe they're pushing up against confusion on where to start, what the right step is, or even feeling paralyzed by the thought of making the wrong choice. I know those thought patterns all too well, and in today's episode, I'm sharing four tips that helped me take that big leap five years ago and just start. I share how to build your confidence, breathwork exercises that help me gain clarity, and ways to capitalize on your skillset.    In this episode we talk about: How to tap into your bigger vision and get moving in the right direction  My journey with starting this podcast  Why it's more important to take the first step instead of waiting for the perfect time to start  Deciding if you prefer to dip your toes in the water, or cannon ball into the deep end  Sitting with the question, “What do I really want to do?”  Being honest about where you tend to take yourself out of the game  Figuring out what you can monetize    If you loved today's episode, please share your favorite takeaways or your own systems and processes by screenshotting this episode and tagging us on Instagram!   Click HERE to get your tickets for the Powerhouse Women 2022 event!    Click HERE to check out the Powerhouse Women Behind The Success Stories!    Click HERE to text the word MENTOR to (602) 536-7829 for weekly business + mindset tips delivered straight to your phone!   Not part of the Girl Gang Community yet? What do I really feel lit up about? If nothing were off the table no matter what I did, what would I do?” ( 14:05 ) Lindsey says, “It's necessary to be honest about where you tend to take yourself out of the game.” ( 16:15 ) Lindsey says, “I want you to ask yourself this: what is the easiest thing that I could monetize?”  ( 19:42 ) Lindsey summarized the four tips.  ( 20:34 ) Text the word MENTOR to (602) 536-7829 to continue the conversation.  ( 22:24 ) Lindsey asks listeners to leave a 5-star review and written review on Apple Podcasts.

I'm meant for something more.” She believes that women are wired to create, and wants to help them put their stamps on the world in a unique way. She's the founder of Powerhouse Women, and she's here to share some of her amazing advice. Even if you're a solopreneur, there is so much power in making sure you have the support you need.   Guest Bio: The Powerhouse Women event and online community were born out of the belief that women are designed to create and when women get into action around their big ideas, the world works better (because it does!) Today is the day we celebrate 50 episodes of the Be You Podcast! My vibe and energy are so high and I am downright giddy. In this episode, I thank those who have helped me along this journey, share this milestone with you who have helped make this possible, and encourage you to follow your intuition like I did. It hasn’t all been easy, but it has been so worth it. By acknowledging my fear and pushing through it, I’ve made it here to this highly significant episode and I get to share it with you.   Through this episode, I also provide the ten important questions you need to ask your highest self. Write them down or take a screenshot, whichever works for you. But keep them. Learn them. And make them habitual.    What am I pretending not to know? Is this raising or lowering my vibe? How would the highest version of me show up right now? How did I cause this and attract it to me? Is this getting me the life I desire? What are you trying to teach me? Is it true or just true in my paradigm? Is this my business, their business or God's business? What is my body telling me? What would love do right now?   I cannot wait to hear from you and how these questions help you connect with your highest self. And I can’t wait to know how this Be You milestone is helping you follow your own intuition. Thank you for being here!   Show Notes: [2:07] - Jill shares the significance of this 50th episode for her and how the Be You Collective has grown to reach 20,000 downloads in 41 countries. [3:37] - Opening this milestone episode, Jill encourages us to listen to our hearts and not let our minds get in the way of our ideas and passions. [4:42] - There’s a reason ideas and passions come to us. They are put there with the intent of coming to fruition and your highest self trying to keep you on your path. [5:08] - Jill admits that she has let her brain distract her from her course with “buts.” [5:47] - This 50th episode illustrates why following your intuition is always the right answer. [7:18] - Jill explains that she has put all her trust in God regarding this podcast and admits that her brain has told her numerous times that it is too scary to do. This 50th episode celebration is so meaningful to her. [8:09] - The phrase “seeing is believing” isn’t always true. Jill explains how you have to believe before you can see. Even so, the evidence of the Be You Podcast’s success feels rewarding to see. [9:23] - Using the example of recent weight loss, Jill demonstrates how someone noticing the change in her confidence makes a difference in motivation. Even though she doesn’t need someone to notice, it felt good. [10:31] - This need for black and white evidence is why a lot of businesses fail. [11:27] - Jill takes a moment to thank her husband for his support in this podcast endeavor because he is also the type of person to believe before seeing. [13:11] - In addition to being supportive, Jill’s husband TK also jumped in to help with the first three episodes, completing all the editing with new equipment. [13:36] - Jill thanks her children and shares a story about her son and 14 of his teenage friends listening to her podcast and leaving great reviews. [14:32] - Although Jill mentions that although she had a hard childhood, her parents have grown into their role and are amazing and supportive parents through her adult life. [15:05] - Thanks to all of you in the Be Collective as well, for not only listening to the podcast, but also sharing and being a part of the community. [15:43] - Jill shares how this all came to be, starting with seeing an event of women speakers including Angie Lee and then getting connected with Lindsey Schwartz, author of Powerhouse Woman. [16:59] - After listening to Lindsey Schwartz’s podcast and digging for more information, Jill joined her mastermind. [18:29] - Jill thanks the women in the mastermind who have been supportive and encouraging throughout this new journey. [19:17] - Although Jill was hugely successful in her prior network marketing business, this has been a brand new experience where she was a beginner in the mastermind she joined. [20:20] - Jill also thanks the Juice Plus company for firing her. This isn’t a passive aggressive jab. If it hadn’t happened, she wouldn’t have started this podcast.  [22:07] - Losing that job was a rock bottom moment for Jill and she lists some of the choices you have when you hit that point, all of which she did. [23:51] - Although it was painful, Jill is thankful that she was terminated from her network marketing job and is also very thankful for the friends she made during her years in that career that rallied around her in this new chapter. [24:50] - Because of all of these life-changing events, Jill then was able to connect with her business coach Cayla Craft and other big names in this field. [25:53] - Because she was coaching with Cayla, Jill also found Stefanos and then hired him as a one-on-one marriage coach.  [27:08] - Things continue to lead to more opportunities for Jill. By hiring Stefanos, she connected with his wife as well. Stefanos and his wife created the intensive program that Jill is now a part of called Elementum. [28:18] - “Our intuition is always right. It’s our true north. It’s our way to come back home to ourselves. Our brain will always try and get in the way of that, delay us, distract us, completely block us, and it’s up to us to distinguish between those two voices.” [29:01] - It is important to cheer on the people you see who are clearly being themselves and following their hearts. [31:11] - Jill lists the ten most powerful questions she has asked herself starting with “What am I pretending not to know?” She first saw this question posed when she was 36 years old in her first personal development course. [32:34] - The second question is “Is this raising or lowering my vibration?” There are times that Jill asks herself this question with relationships. [33:41] - “How would the highest version of me show up right now?” Try doing this when you are in an argument. That is when it really counts. This is an important question to ask when you are not feeling confident in yourself as well. [34:47] - “How did I cause this and attract it to me?” So many times, the same things happen to a person or the same types of people are coming into your life. That doesn’t just happen. [36:18] - Similarly, “Is this getting me the life I desire?” is the next question. Is what you are doing right now consistently getting you where you want to be? And if not, are you doing what it takes to change direction? [37:11] - This is what you need to ask yourself and your creator: “What are you trying to teach me?” Remember, there’s a lesson to be learned in everything. [37:40] - “Is this really true or just true in my paradigm?” Jill explains what this means and how the answer to this question can be a real eye-opener. The way to figure this out is to slowly lower the water line and expose more of the iceberg. [38:40] - A question inspired by a friend of Jill’s to ask yourself is “Is this my business, their business, or God’s business?” Jill admits that she doesn’t always follow it but she has gotten better through awareness. [39:45] - “What is my body telling me?” Your body will be honest with you if you pause and listen. [40:30] - Lastly, “What would love do right now?” Jill gives examples of how love would forgive, apologize, and get you back on course. [41:38] - Jill explains how recently two podcast guests demonstrated and responded with love when something happened to their interview recording. [42:45] - Jill shares a story that she read online that compares elephants and dogs when they’re pregnant. Which elephant are you? I know there was something in this episode that you were meant to hear. Let me know what that is. Thank you for being here today with me on our healing journeys. COMMUNITY IS THE GATEWAY TO TRANSFORMATION!    Are you afraid to step up and take a leap of faith? Do you feel scared every time you think of all the things you wanted to have and achieve as an entrepreneur? Then this episode is for you!   My guest today is Lindsey Schwartz, an Arizona-based, Wisconsin-born entrepreneur and big dreamer. At age 26, Lindsey started her first business part-time and over the next several years became an accomplished fitness athlete, full-time entrepreneur, speaker, and best-selling author of Powerhouse Woman: How to get out of your own way, fulfill your unique purpose, and live a powerful life.   Lindsey's journey and how she became who she is today.   Lindsey is a big believer that it's not by accident, and obviously it's taken a lot of hard work. But every time that she thought she was at a stopping point or something that she wanted to happen, and the expectation that she had wasn't turning out the way she wanted, every single time, she just surrendered and trusted that maybe there was a different plan that she just couldn't see. And that led her to what she's doing now, which she absolutely loves.   She grew up in the Midwest, took a job, and she was recruited by a few companies and ended up selling carpet. She literally sold commercial flooring. That's why she moved out to Arizona.   She was 23 or 24 when she finished school and all that she heard from that company was, “We will move you somewhere that doesn't snow, and we'll give you a car and a cell phone. And when you're that age, and you grew up in the Midwest with the idea of job security, you get a good job, you work hard, and then you retire. That's the dream life.”   Because of that, she was like, “Oh, don't worry about me, Mom, I have made it like, Here I go, I'm gonna start my life in Arizona.” And it just so happens that by the time she got trained and fully into her position, she was in commercial construction.   So there she was in an industry that was extremely hard hit and the slowest to recover. And it was the first time in her life where she considered maybe this idea that was true for her parents and grandparents' generation, wasn't really true for her because she didn't feel a whole lot of job security every single day.   She watched people her age get laid off. And it was the first time she ever considered that maybe she needed a plan B. And so that was what ultimately brought her to network marketing and found out that she loved helping people be healthy more than she loved selling commercial flooring to a hospital.   There was a big difference in both careers she had. There was one time when a customer cussed her because of the flooring order, even if it's not her fault. And then in her inbox was an email from the woman who had been their wedding photographer, pouring out her gratitude that Lindsey had changed the woman's life by helping her get her nutrition under control. She then realized that she needs to get out of the job she used to have. She eventually went full time into entrepreneurship. But what happened while she was working in this network marketing career was really what set up what ultimately became “Powerhouse Women.”   What does entrepreneurship actually feel like?   Everytime Lindsey talks to people, they would always say how Lindsey inspires them. They would end up sharing that they have always thought of starting their own businesses, or maybe even a specific idea that they felt really strongly about, and every time Lindsey would hear it, she would think that those things that people are talking about really need to exist.    But in the very next breath, without any like pause in between, they would share why they weren't ready, or they didn't know enough, or they didn't feel like they were good enough.    They were afraid — and that is exactly what entrepreneurship feels like.   Those feelings that people are using to prove to themselves why they shouldn't go after that, are actually the reasons why they should. It's pointing them in the right direction. What would Lindsey tell somebody who is feeling scared and insecure to be part of a community like the Powerhouse Women?   Lindsey can feel that too — she gets intimidated walking into a room of beautiful women, she gets intimidated while walking into a mastermind where everyone's business is twice the revenue of hers, but that's also where she grows.    But if someone is going after a big idea, building a business, pursuing a passion project, and they don't feel right now like they have that support, it's up to them to go find it.   And the way they find it is by walking into rooms where they feel totally out of their league and a little intimidated until they find the room that yet might still feel a little bit scary, but eventually, they will think that they could fit in there.   There's so many options now, both virtually and in person events and networking groups that Lindsey loves to see because there's more than enough to go around for everyone to find a place where they really fit in.   Lindsey's advice for anyone who is looking to take the first next step in changing their surroundings and changing the people that they come in contact with:   Seek out what groups were available in your area Be willing to walk into a room and be unattached to whether or not that's going to be the best use of your time. Think through where people who are up to big things tend to hang out. It's always the people you surround yourself with. Self-awareness is key. You should know yourself well enough that if you're really going to make a leap into a new place for yourself, you literally have to shift your identity.   Tune in to this episode to be more inspired to start and come up with the best move and decision you'll ever make!   Connect with Lindsey: www.instagram.com/llindseyschwartz www.instagram.com/powerhouse_women www.powerhousewomenevent.com www.powerhousewomen.co   Connect with Doug Instagram: @dougbopst Facebook: Doug Bopst Website: www.dougbopst.com/gift   More on Earth Echo Foods/Cacao Bliss: www.earthechofoods.com/dougbopst Use Promo code "Doug" at checkout to receive 15% off your order

161: Kristen Willeumier: Neuroscientist  and Author of the book Biohack Your Brain discusses overcoming serious athletic injuries of her own and pushing through to getting her PhD in Neurobiology from UCLA and working to help people fight back against neurological illnesses like Alzheimer’s.    Kristen Willeumier  As an athlete, what made Kristen Willeumier gravitate towards psychology?  “I started getting more interested in the mind through sports. So, when I was at Boston College, I studied psychology. But, I was really interested in continuing the thread of athletics, and the brain, and psychology. I thought I wanted to go into sports psychology, and at the time, which was in the early 90s, there weren’t a lot of sports psychologists. I joined an association for sports psychology, learned more about it. I really wanted to work with athletes and Olympic athletes, helping them improve their mental game.” On this episode of Finding Your Summit Podcast, we talk with Kristen Willeumier, PhD, Neuroscientist and Author of Biohack Your Brain, which is published by HarperCollins Publishers and will be released December 29th, 2020. How does she fill the gap between diseases that exist today and what traditional medicine knows? “Part of the reason why I ended up first doing the Masters Degree and then continuing to do another Masters and PhD in Neurobiology is that I wanted to study a disease that we think is incurable, whether that is Parkinsons, Alzheimer’s.”   What You Will Learn: How did Kristen Willeumier get involved in competitive show jumping on horses? “I started riding at the age of 7, and like most parents do with their kids, I was doing gymnastics. I was doing ballet. I was taking classes at the Art Institute. You have your kids trying different things to figure out what they are going to excel at. I happened to go to a riding camp, at Kelly’s Riding Camp, and fell in love with riding horses, and I happened to grow up in a suburb outside of Chicago called Barrington which is essentially horse country.” Kristen Willeumier explains the ‘hunters’ and jumpers’ areas of competitive show jumping. “I started out very naturally doing what we call the ‘hunters.’ For people who aren’t very familiar with the riding industry, we have ‘hunters’ and we have ‘jumpers.’ Hunter competitions are really judged on the horse, and how well you take the horses around the courses. Jumpers are more about not the actual judging of the horse and the rider, but it’s just how quickly you can get over a course of 10 to 12 to 14 fences. You need to jump them clean and you need to jump them for speed.”  Did she have her sights set on the Olympics as something you wanted to do? “Absolutely. So, I actually rode for a decade, age 7 all the way to 17. Throughout that time, our family owned five different horses and the kind of training, so I was trained with people who ended up being Olympic show jumpers. Chris Kappler, who went to the Los Angeles Olympics, who is a gold and silver medalist. So, he was training in the barn with us.”  Kristen opens up about a very serious injury that she sustained when she was younger riding a pony. “I’ve had so many injuries and accidents. But, the one that is truly the most memorable happened when I was 13 and I was at a local horse show riding Razzmatazz, who was a large pony, dapple gray, large pony, and I was in the children’s adult jumper class. So, the fences are between 3-foot 6 inches and 3-foot 9 inches. I was going around a corner with Lee, and he slipped. So, the show ring was wet. So, he slipped. His backend goes down. I go flying over him. He scrambles to get up and he steps on my chest. My ribs end up puncturing my lungs.”  What makes Kristen Willeumier so passionate about her area of neuroscience? “Alzheimer’s disease, 5 million people in the United States have it. It is expected to triple by 2050. We have zero drugs that actually stop Alzheimer’s disease. Zero. I’m going to pivot off of Parkinson’s and go to Alzheimer’s for a minute. Alzheimer’s is 90% preventable by diet and lifestyle, and it is part of the reason why I’m such an advocate for brain health.”    Diet Against Alzheimer’s   What is a natural way of eating that can fight against getting Alzheimer’s disease? “I’m going to do a Mediteranean Diet that is whole food plant-based. For example, on a day-to-day basis you want to be getting two servings of fresh fruit. Fruits and vegetables are at the core of brain health. First of all, most Amercians aren’t eating two servings of fruits and three servings of greens per day. If anyone is going to make one change today that they can take with them for the rest of their lives, that is probably the number one change.”    Biohack Your Brain During this episode of Finding Your Summit Podcast, Kristen Willeumier also talks about the upcoming book that she wrote called Biohack Your Brain. “I basically give people the simple steps that they can do to take care of their brain health now, and a lot of it is the work that I did with professional football players and I give client stories. I talk about my own story. So, I make it really fun. It is loaded with great neuroscience facts, but fun ones, so very easily digestible.”    Links to Additional Resources: Mark Pattison: markpattisonnfl.com Emilia’s Everest - The Lhotse Challenge: https://www.markpattisonnfl.com/philanthropy/ Kristen Willeumier website: drwilleumier.com Kristen Willeumier social media: Linkedin Instagram Twitter Facebook

Small Biz Buzz hosts Crystal Heuft and Scott Martineau are joined by Lindsey Schwartz, the founder of Powerhouse Women and author of “Powerhouse Woman,” who discusses how she benefited from attending mastermind programs where she got the chance to dive deep with a group of other people on the same journey that she was, which reaffirmed all of the overwhelming feelings she was experiencing about starting her own business. As far as focusing her business strictly on women, Schwartz said, “I never intended from the start to create a women's community only because in my past I worked with men and women, but I noticed most of the conversations I was having were specific to women.” Schwartz believes there are so many women with really brilliant ideas who aren't getting into the entrepreneurial spirit because they only see the highlight reel and think they’re not meant for this journey. “That whole conversation inspired [my book], which was really written from my own story of how not together I have it and showing women how you don't need to become more, you don't need to learn more in order to be this powerhouse, you just need to turn into what's already within us. And the fundamentals for creation, just creating things from nothing are within all of us,” said Schwartz.   She also hosts a podcast where she talks about how to equip women with the tools and the mindset to get out of their own way and into action around their own big ideas. “That's actually one of the reasons I love having a podcast. We can just go a lot deeper into what a little caption can share, but I think it's more just about us realizing that if we're feeling icky looking at social media, we're just comparing our blooper reel to someone else's highlight reel,” said Schwartz. “You have to get it straight, social media is always going to be a highlight reel.” Tune in for more.

In this episode of the Millionaire Mindcast, our guest is a superwoman, Kelly Resendez who shares knowledge and tips on how to balance all areas of your life, the formula of energy management, how to stay focus when you’re off track, some parenting advice and objectives, why should men uplift women empowerment, and how to open up the flow of opportunity! Kelly is an EVP of Talent Acquisition and Development, a Loanpal, a Founder, Speaker at her two companies Big Voices Rise and FTSS, where she also offers training and coaching and to help struggling salespeople and leaders that wanted not only to increase their success but also have balance and fun doing it. Kelly is the author of the best-selling book Big Voices and Foundation to Sustainable Success. She uses the concepts of mindfulness, self-discovery and goal setting to help their team achieve the company’s objectives and runs its Women’s Mentoring Program. Kelly is very fortunate to have badass parents who are both entrepreneurs and real estate investors. At an early age, she got into the mortgage industry, became a top 1% loan officer but wasn’t connected to the work on the deeper level. Kelly was losing all her energy as she was working all day & serving the real estate community. Those were the commission days and ‘Achiever Space’ which her fuel is an achievement, crushing anyone's standards but miserable inside. But then ever since, Kelly had this calling to make a massive impact in the world. Until in 2011, she decided to take a leap and go into more executive leadership to have the capacity to make a change in an organization. She applied the things she learned in personal growth and development, from the ‘achiever space’ to the mortgage industry. As a loan officer, she mastered the fear of rejection. Create a vision for the life she wants to feel, create and maintain the right mindset, take action and manage her energy around it. On the other side, Kelly makes a point to be a little bit aware of what’s going on in your world. Know your priorities first and build your life around that. Figure out what your formula is, & own it because you did it and it didn’t come in naturally. In addition, surrender and just acknowledge good and focus on it consistently. Choose not to focus on negative things. Instead of beating yourself for getting off track, don’t pay attention to it but find ways on how to combat it to make a positive world, learn and grow from it, and plan what you are going to do next. In short, pull opportunities of growth out of failures. Also, Kelly believed that we need men and women to work together to give huge impact in the world. Currently, she is a catalyst for changing a lot of mindsets and working out to co-create this new level of joy, success, prosperity, and abundance. Lastly, Kelly describes how the GoBundance community and other tribes have helped her to stay focused on her goals, have the right mindset, create the strategies and tools that she shares and make a huge impact on the world. Lindsey started out like many people pursuing a career in the corporate world. Even though she was doing great at her job, it was during the 2008 recession that she realized this wasn't a stable path. She then decided to enter entrepreneurship part-time through a company called Isagenix, a network marketing company which she still currently works with. From that company, she then created Powerhouse Women, an online community, a yearly event, a book, and a podcast. (Whew!). After seeing numerous women in her life stop short of pursuing their own entrepreneurial dreams because of fear and self-doubt, she saw the need for more honest conversations about the ups and downs of entrepreneurship in order to show women that they don't have to have it all together to get started. What I love the most about Lindsey's story is that she sets an example for her community. She didn't wait around for a huge social media following or to have some kind of star-backing, she wrote a book because she wanted to write a book and became a best-seller. She created an event because she saw a need and now it's growing year after year! If you take away one single message from Lindsey's story, let it be this: just start. Whatever it is that you want to do, just start doing it. You never know where that path may lead!   Here is what we chat about in this episode: How no one actually knows what they're doing and you don't have to do it alone. How fulfillment comes from giving yourself time and space to do the things you want to do. Why it's important to think about the limitations you're arguing for. And so much more! Lindsey started her first business part-time at the age of 26 and over the next several years became an accomplished fitness athlete, speaker, full-time entrepreneur, and author. In 2017 Lindsey founded the Powerhouse Women event as a way to help women get out of their own way and into ACTION around their own big ideas and dreams. Lindsey is passionate about building community and believes that women are most successful when they collaborate and sincerely root for one another to win. Her heart for collaboration inspired Lindsey’s latest project, the Powerhouse Women GirlGang, a membership community for like-minded women to connect, grow, and confidently pursue their big ideas. Hi Winners! Here is the thing, we as women, apologize for the smallest littlest thing. I heard a woman apologize for passing me in the bread isle. I saw a mom once, with a dog and two little toddlers, with her hands full for just being in the park. I asked her, ‘what are you apologizing for?’. She couldn’t answer me. We are trained to apologize, we are trained to say we are sorry as women when we have not even done anything. Why do we do that? Janet Zaretsky, is truly one of the most powerful women I know. And in this unique interview, I ask her that question - why do we apologize, when we don’t even have anything to apologize for? This interview is truthful and enlightening. Enjoy! Candy Nelson – Episode 44 – How Wealth Allows This Powerhouse Woman to Be a "Volunteer CEO"   At the age of 15 years old, Candy Nelson had already gotten the entrepreneur bug. And it was all spurred by a 3 a.m. infomercial for some tapes (which she purchased) by Tony Robbins. Upon listening to the tapes, the longing in her soul was answered and she vowed to set goals and complete them.   As the child of teenage parents, Candy’s excitement wasn’t readily reciprocated, but she persisted nonetheless. With the help of her father and a small business loan, by the age of 19, she started her first business. And while it took a few years to see the rewards of it, it is now a raging success. So much so that she was able to hand over the operations and focus on the creation and operation of the nonprofit organization Animal Friends Sanctuary.   Through this organization, Candy is able to donate her time as the CEO and focus on causes that are near and dear to her heart – animal and at-risk kids. Her story (there is so much more to it) is so inspiring as it shows such a shining example of how wealth can do amazing things and make a massive impact on this world.   --   Question Highlights:   What was it intrinsically inside of you that made you so different as a 15-year-old that you got an idea and followed through on it?   How did Tony Robbin’s tapes turn you into a budding business woman?   How scary was it to start a first-of-its-kind business in your area?   Did your first business take off right away?   What is one of your biggest growing pains and how did you navigate through it?   When did you decide to walk away from the operations side of your first business?   How did the 15-year-old you view money and how do you view it now?    In This Episode You Will Learn:   Overcoming obstacles to create a successful business at age 19   How to “work wealthy”   Why it’s so important to just start – even if you’re unsure   About redirecting your course when things don’t go as planned   How Candy was able to start and become the CEO of a nonprofit organization – and not get paid to do it   And so much more…   Christine’s Thoughts…   “We are not the product of our circumstances.”   “It was a vision – it was something I could see, feel and walk into and that was it. And I reverse-engineered from there.”   “When you do what’s right, things seem to work out.”   “Some people are so fearful looking 10 years ahead that they never start.”   “You’ve got to start and redirect as you go.”   “You never know if you can accomplish or contribute unless you start.”   “Does this decision take me closer to or further away from my mission and life’s purpose?”   “Money is going to just amplify who you already are.”   “The pursuit of money isn’t evil if you have good intentions.”   “Sometimes we have to go through the struggle to realized what our gifts are.”   --   At just 19, Candy started her first business just out of high school. A serial entrepreneur for nearly two decades, she has built a successful service-based business, developed a nationwide product-based company and invested in real estate investing since the age of 25.  She started a non-profit organization at the age of 26. Candy has donated over 25,000 hours to that charity as a Volunteer CEO and has raised over three million dollars in the last 10 years. She is actively engaged in saving thousands of animals' lives and bringing hope and healing to abused children.  She is passionate about encouraging others to stand up and speak out against abuse and cruelty and is committed to inspiring others to live a kinder, most compassionate life.   Resources:   VolunteerCEO.com AnimalFriendsSanctuary.org   IG: @volunteerCEO FB: facebook.com/volunteerceo   --   For more stories and tips on becoming unapologetically wealthy, follow me @Chriswharder on Instagram and check out fortheloveofmoney.com.
