Nicky and Eric discuss childhood fears and Little Nightmares. Little Nightmares is a puzzle-platform horror stealth game developed by Tarsier Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One, released in April of 2017. A Nintendo Switch version was released in May 2018. Little Nightmares follows the journey of Six, a hungry little girl who must escape the Maw, an iron vessel inhabited by monstrous, twisted beings. Press Any Button hosts Nicky (a new gamer) and Eric (a lifetime gamer) are a married couple who both love video games. For every video game they will discuss its past (history of the game, developers story, and fun facts), present (game play, game review and strategy), and future (will there be a sequel?? A movie?) BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE… Every game also comes with a challenge presented by the host that chose the game. If the challenge is not completed then whoever failed has to do a video game rap! So if you want to learn more about video games, hear some nerdy video game raps, or just have a good time this is the podcast for you. We try to cover all types of video games including: Retro and New video games Playstation, Nintendo, Xbox, Sega, and PC games Any and all genres including RPG, Simulation, Beat em up, platforming, mystery, first person shooter, sandbox, puzzle, action adventure, etc. Follow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pressanybutton_podcast Credits: Nicky Smith Eric Luedtke Music by Mark Spurlock References: https://littlenightmares.fandom.com/wiki/Little_Nightmares_(video_game) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Nightmares https://web.archive.org/web/20210911061237/https://www.gematsu.com/2016/08/interview-little-nightmares-devs-andreas-johnsson-dave-mervik-gamescom-2016 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarsier_Studios https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Trivia/LittleNightmares https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/russo-brothers-adapting-video-game-little-nightmares-tv-1012736/ https://tarsier.se/games/reanimal/

"Little Nightmares" is a captivating and atmospheric puzzle-platformer video game that immerses players in a dark and unsettling world. Developed by Tarsier Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, the game was first released in 2017. Set in a mysterious and nightmarish realm known as The Maw, players assume the role of a young, raincoat-clad character named Six. Six finds herself trapped in this grim and eerie place, filled with grotesque and monstrous inhabitants. The game's art style is one of its most striking features, with a hauntingly beautiful design that combines the grotesque with the macabre, creating a truly unique visual experience. As players guide Six through the various levels of The Maw, they must solve puzzles and overcome obstacles to progress. The game's mechanics are simple yet effective, allowing players to interact with the environment in clever and inventive ways. The sense of vulnerability and dread is a constant companion, as players must navigate through a world that seems designed to thwart their every move. What sets "Little Nightmares" apart is its ability to create an atmosphere of tension and unease without relying on excessive jump scares or gore. Instead, it uses sound design, lighting, and the grotesque appearances of the game's inhabitants to instill a sense of dread. The game's story is mostly told through environmental storytelling, leaving players to piece together the narrative as they progress. "Little Nightmares" is a relatively short experience, but it's one that lingers in the mind long after the credits roll. Its haunting visuals, eerie ambiance, and thought-provoking themes make it a standout title in the horror and puzzle-platformer genres. If you're a fan of atmospheric games that challenge your wits and immerse you in a nightmarish world, "Little Nightmares" is definitely worth a playthrough.

I talk about Greg McLean's "The Darkness," possibly the most stultifyingly boring movie I've ever seen, my plans for upcoming format changes to various parts of the podcast, and a recommendation for "Little Nightmares" by Tarsier Studios. I also talk at some length about my evolving "Radha Mitchell Conspiracy Theory" that will eventually expose me as the triviality-obsessed sociopath I am.Enjoy!Support us on Patreon or by purchasing some merch!Check out all our social media links hereJoin the Discord!

In our third week of FeBOOary -- the scariest month of the year -- we choose to look past our retro collection to try out a brand new release: it's Little Nightmares 2! With all of its hype this week, we figure out whether this Tarsier Studios release would've been a classic game back in our childhood. But before attempting our escape we recap Hitman 3, give our thoughts on the upcoming Last of Us HBO show, and question whether or not Batman is actually Dexter. Plus, we share nightmarish stories from our time as amateur referees! Biljetten in blev projektet “City of Metronome”, som dessvärre inte färdigställdes.
