As urgent calls for climate change action continue, an energy supercycle is underway, driven by the increasing need for electrification and digitalization, particularly in high-growth sectors like AI and data centers. Securing a reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy supply to meet this demand is crucial. At the 2025 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting at Davos, Hitachi, Ltd. Executive Chairman Toshiaki Higashihara and Hitachi Energy CEO Andreas Schierenbeck, with Elisabeth V. Vardheim (Statnett) and Gerard Reid (Alexa Capital), participate in a panel discussion on 22 January 2025 to explore the parallels between today's energy landscape and offer insights into how global stakeholders can drive change to address the climate crises. In summary, how to turn couch potatoes into ironmen. Laurent's conclusion is that Davos is a perfect microcosm to capture CEOs' Zeitgeist. And when you hear a global consensus, like 4 years ago on Net Zero and Climate and this year on AI… then it is probably time to SELL. This event is part of the Davos Accredited Programme. Nearly a decade ago, nations worldwide committed to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with the first goal focused on ending poverty in all its forms by 2030. Whilst some progress has been made, we remain well off track to reach this ambitious target. Poverty reduction has stalled, whilst a new report by Oxfam – launched during the recent World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos – highlights how rising inequality is being driven by today's colonial economic system. It finds billionaire wealth rose three times faster in 2024 than in 2023, and most of this is taken – not earned. What's driving these worrying trends? Are policy-makers addressing the root causes, or are systemic issues being overlooked? And what must be done to shift the course, especially amidst rising global uncertainties that could reshape international cooperation? The term ‘fragility' is used to describe various complex challenges including protracted conflicts, weak state capacity, and vulnerability to climate-related shocks.Development progress has been the hardest in these contexts. But the landscape is changing, with new development players emerging – notably in the private sector. Private capital is reaching frontier economies (those in low- and middle-income countries impacted by so-called fragility), fuelled by an impact investing market of more than $1 trillion.Ahead of next week's World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, this episode examines who is shaping this new vision of development in frontier markets. The findings from PwC's Global CEO Survey are out, and they reveal a fascinating dichotomy: while CEOs' optimism about global economic growth has more than doubled year-on-year, 45% don't think their company will survive for more than a decade on its current path—a 6% increase from last year. What's driving CEO anxiety about the long-term viability of their business models? To what extent are global megatrends, like generative AI and climate change, prompting CEOs to make changes? And what strategies can CEOs employ to keep their organizations agile and future-ready? Join special guest host Sarah von Fischer and PwC Global Chair, Bob Moritz, for a live recording from the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, as they dissect the insights from PwC's latest survey of 4,700 CEOs around the world.
Artificial intelligence (AI) dominated conversations at the recent World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos. The release of ChatGPT to the public in December 2022 put AI firmly in the spotlight. And today it is all around us, promising to transform how we live our lives. But there are plenty of concerns and warnings about how it could impact the world. Many have sounded the alarm, even the so-called “Godfather of AI” Geoffrey Hinton, who has been vocal about the dangers of the technology he helped to create. In this episode, experts reflect on the ethical implications of these technological advances. We ask how AI can become a force for social good which empowers people globally rather than entrenching inequalities. And with over half the world due to go to the polls in 2024, what impact will AI have on politics in this major election year and beyond?SpeakersSara Pantuliano (host), Chief Executive, ODIVilas Dhar, President, Patrick J. There are a growing number of social entrepreneurs using technology to address a range of development challenges in Africa, from agriculture healthcare to education. But many of them say that financing is the greatest barrier to scale. At the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2024, Devex's Raj Kumar sat down with three social entrepreneurs: Temie Giwa-Tubosun, CEO of LifeBank, a healthcare technology and logistics company delivering critical medical supplies, Gerald Abila, founder of BarefootLaw, a non-profit in Uganda providing access to justice through technology, and Mayur Patel, chief commercial officer at M-Kopa, an asset financing platform in Africa. Their conversations point to several ways social entrepreneurs are using technology to address social challenges, as well as the crucial role financing must play in scaling their impact. "The big barriers for growth are not demand,” Patel said. “They're not the scalability of the platform, or the opportunity. The big barriers to growth are figuring out how you solve the working capital cycle.” Listen to the episode to hear more from Giwa-Tubosun, Abila, and Patel, who joined Kumar for the Davos Dispatch podcast, recorded from the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

After a three-year hiatus, the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, came back with a vengeance, just as a fragmented world confronts a confluence of crises. The global meeting of government, business and community leaders—the first in three years—can't quite be described as optimistic, among the 600+ CEOs, 200 cabinet ministers, 50 heads of government and 20 central bank governors who attended the event. But after a year marked by war, inflation, energy shortages and pandemic fears, the general view of Davos 2023 was, “hey, things could be a lot worse.”In this episode, host John Stackhouse offers his key learnings during his visit to the Swiss Alps. Alongside his special co-host Naomi Powell, Managing Editor of RBC Economics and Thought Leadership, John takes us through the memorable moments and key themes from this year's #WEF2023 in Davos. From complications arising from the war in Ukraine, to the energy transition and the global innovation landscape, listen to John's front-row seat perspective.Hear from some of the world's top leaders and thinkers, including Matthew Prince, CEO of IT security firm Cloudflare, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, and Svein Tore Holsether, the CEO of Yara International, a leading crop nutrition company.John also talks about the macro and micro trends discussed at the forum, and where Canada can lead. Also, what was the general sentiment around prospects for 2023 among world leaders? Listen in and find out. Thousands of business leaders, policy makers, experts, heads of government and state have gathered once again in a snowy Swiss mountain resort in January. There are crises affecting different parts of the world; the war in Ukraine, mitigating the impact of climate change and weakening global economic outlook. In this special episode of Beyond the Headlines at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, host Mustafa Alrawi is highlighting the main discussions of the forum with The National's editor in chief Mina Al-Oraibi and CNN's international correspondent and anchor Richard Quest.

They highlight how destructive the transgender medical agenda is for children and how illogical transgender activists are. Two of the videos claim that children can know that they are transgender from birth or even while still in utero. The hospital boasts that it regularly sees transgender children as young as 2 or 3 years old, when they meet with a psychologist who pushes them down the road of social gender transitioning. Concerned parents are told that beginning an irreversible process based on the word of a 2-year-old is just being “supportive.” https://twitter.com/i/status/1558823459651817477 - Play Video How do children know they are the wrong gender from birth or in the womb? That is not clear. In fact, it's hard even to imagine what that means. But we do apparently have metrics for when they are around 2 or 3. According to the hospital, a child refusing to get a haircut or playing with “opposite gender” toys can only mean that the child is transgender and must begin the gender transition process. https://twitter.com/i/status/1558669742126223361 - Play Video Aside from the wild leap in logic from a child rejecting a haircut to social gender transitioning, this makes no sense by the very logic that transgender activists have promoted. If gender is an entirely social construct, then the idea of gendered toys is also a social construct. So, if the idea that only girls play with dolls (for example) is an outdated social construct, how does a boy playing with a doll prove that he is actually a girl and should begin the transition process? This is not some exercise in philosophy or thought experiment. This is the contradictory nature of the logic that therapists and doctors are using to push children down the path toward irreversible and damaging treatments — puberty blockers, hormone treatments, and, eventually, surgery. Boston Children’s Hospital’s Center for Gender Surgery is “the first center of its kind in the U.S. in a major pediatric hospital setting,” as it boasts on its website. It is operating on the logic that children can choose their gender because they know they are the wrong gender before they are even born. Medical and mental health professionals who know better are pushing children down this path, convincing concerned parents that this is what acceptance and support look like. The malpractice lawsuits by the children whose lives they are currently ruining cannot be filed soon enough. https://thepostmillennial.com/study-blames-climate-change-for-children-eating-too-much-and-not-exercising-enough?utm_campaign=64487 Study blames climate change for children eating too much and not exercising enough The talk show CBS Mornings cited a study on Saturday that correlated the growing trend of American obesity to climate change, as increased heat, the study says, is making children stay indoors, consume more calories, and embrace a sedentary lifestyle. https://twitter.com/i/status/1558555239170674688 - Play Video In the study from Temperature, Shawnda A. Morrison argued that rising temperatures have caused children to stay indoors, grow inactive, and eat more. Her work focused on "heat stress assessment" and makes the point that it's more dangerous and less fun to be active if it's extremely hot outside. However, the author conflates metrics from the Covid-19 shutdowns that led to increased obesity in some regions as evidence for her assertions. "Climate change will not only exert direct effects like higher ambient temperatures in many regions but it will also be responsible for indirect effects that can independently affect child physical activity habits, for example as observed during the Covid-19 global pandemic." A 2021 abstract published in the US National Institutes of Health's National Library of Medicine (NIH/NLM) titled "Climate Change and Obesity" noted that the "current Covid-19 pandemic has caused some decline in greenhouse gas emissions," in an indication that the pandemic was a positive development for global climate change. The piece also said, "Following multiple lockdowns, there was further increase in obesity in wealthier populations." The NIH/NLM piece indicates that humanity can still gain weight if they're addressing climate change, so long as they're sedentary and consuming more calories than they burn. A study cited by MarketWatch suggests that obesity may actually be causing climate change. "Obesity is associated with approximately 20 percent more greenhouse gas emissions compared to people considered to have a healthier weight." "Researchers in a recently published study found that global obesity was estimated to contribute to an extra 700 megatons of carbon dioxide emissions per year," the study said, according to MarketWatch. Obesity is causing climate change, according to the study, and climate change is causing obesity, according to Temperature. A 2017-18 study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that surveyed over 5,000 US adults found that four out of 10 Americans are obese and one out of 10 are severely obese. Americans that were considered severely obese in 1970 was only about one in 100, a number that is ten times more common today. The overall obesity rate has gone up by about 40 percent since 2000. The Washington Post reports that Leclair was convicted on five counts of child sexual assault and, in the courtroom, quaffed from a water bottle while "guilty" after "guilty" count was read in succession. Leclair's lawyer, Mike Howard, said, "I looked over and noticed him drinking. His hand was shaking. At the time, I thought it was shaking because of the verdict. Then he kept drinking and drinking." Howard said Leclair faced a very stern sentence of up to 100 years. The child rapist had been free on bond before the verdict but was escorted to a holding cell after he was deemed guilty. According to CNN, Denton County Assistant District Attorney Jamie Beck, said the drink looked "cloudy," and "Our investigator noticed him chug the water. He told the bailiff he might want to go check on him. The bailiff did. He was unconscious in the holding cell." Defense Attorney Howard said Leclair started vomiting "shortly after entering the holdover cell," and that emergency services were called. The Denton Record-Chronicle reported that Leclair was charged with raping a 14-year-old girl in 2016. The child had posted a personal ad on Criaglist and solicited the meeting but said Leclair raped her when they met and drove to a nearby hotel. Two years later the girl's mother called police on Leclair and he was arrested. His trial began on August 8 and he was out on a $30,000 bond. DA Beck said, "He was very much either dying or dead," when the bailiff found him and now the Texas Rangers are investigating this "in-custody death." Tarrant County Medical Examiner forensic pathologists are performing an autopsy. The Jurors were informed of Leclair's death on Friday and the judge told them it was not their fault. https://reclaimthenet.org/rumble-new-record-monthly-active-users/ Rumble sets new record, 76% year-on-year growth in active users Neutral video sharing platform Rumble reported record monthly active users and a record for uploaded content in Q2 2022 along with a strong user engagement growth trajectory. Pavlovski added that in his opinion, the reason other platforms’ growth is slowing is because “audiences are going to places like Rumble.” Many users have embraced Rumble because it has committed to allowing its users to speak freely while Big Tech platforms have doubled down on censorship. In Q2 2022, Rumble doubled down on this commitment by announcing “open-source” free speech rules that users can give feedback on and vowing to not operate in countries that move towards censorship. In addition to this, Rumble provided censorship protection for author and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza’s latest documentary, “2000 Mules.” The documentary became a “huge hit” for Rumble and was reportedly the biggest political documentary in a decade. Rumble also added several new features during Q2 2022 including picture-in-picture on its web player, full-screen vertical discovery on iOS, and dark mode for iOS. By contrast, the world’s biggest video sharing platform, YouTube, continued to engage in or commit to mass censorship throughout Q2 2022. Some of the many examples of this include YouTube deleting over 70,000 Ukraine war videos, removing a New York Post interview with someone who stormed the Capitol on January 6, 2021, discussing the censorship of “misinformation” with Poland’s President, and reiterating its commitment to constant censorship of “misinformation” at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting for 2022. True North's Andrew Lawton is back in Canada after covering the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland. At the meeting, panelists spoke about “recalibrating” free speech, developing carbon footprint trackers, and “painful” transitions away from oil and gas, among other things. Outside of the sessions, private jets and limousines, fake storefronts and other oddities took over the streets of Davos. In this live Q&A edition of The Andrew Lawton Show, Andrew breaks down the experience in Davos and takes your questions about WEF. 78. Tiffany Yu - Disability Is Not a Bad Word ”Just because I exist means that I have a gift to impart on the world . . . It hurts my heart that so many of us feel devalued because of the way that our body and our mind works differently. And I think that the challenge for companies is how can you find what that gift is?” Guest Info: Tiffany Yu is the CEO & Founder of Diversability, an award-winning social enterprise to elevate disability pride; the Founder of the Awesome Foundation Disability Chapter, a monthly micro-grant that has awarded $58.5k to 59 disability projects in 9 countries; and a content creator with almost 160k+ followers across platforms. She serves on the San Francisco Mayor's Disability Council and was a 2020 Co-Chair of the World Economic Forum Sustainable Development Impact Summit. At the age of 9, Tiffany became disabled as a result of a car accident that also took the life of her father. She started her career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and has also worked at Bloomberg and Sean Diddy Combs' REVOLT Media & TV. She is a 3x TEDx speaker and spoke on 5 sessions at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos. She has been featured in Marie Claire, the Guardian, and Forbes. Favorite Quote: "The work of the mature person is to carry grief in one hand and gratitude in the other and to be stretched large by them. How much sorrow can I hold? That's how much gratitude I can give. If I carry only grief, I'll bend toward cynicism and despair. If I have only gratitude, I'll become saccharine and won't develop much compassion for other people's suffering. Grief keeps the heart fluid and soft, which helps make compassion possible." — Francis Weller R.O.G. Takeaway Tips: Use inclusive language in onboarding and ask, “What accessibility needs do you have to thrive in this environment?” Start or join an ERG (Employee Resource Group) for Disabled Employees. It can be called Disability Interest Forum, Disability Employee Resource Group or whatever you think best represents the talent you aim to support. In this episode we discuss: The importance of finding your voice and stepping into your story One simple thing businesses can do for new employees, that can surprisingly set a tone of inclusion Why 96% of disabled people don't disclose their disability to their employer The power of community, and the important connection between community and confidence Key Takeaways: By sharing our stories and aspects of our identity that diverge from a standard narrative, conversation by conversation, we give awareness to a more complete spectrum of the human experience. Seeing diversity represented around us gives us permission to share the diverse intersectionality found within us. Showing up authentically is contagious, and this is where true connection and community thrive. The inclusion and belonging found in community is essential to satisfying the fundamental needs in Maslow's hierarchy. Only after our fundamental needs are met are we able to start rising up against the hierarchy to contribute our gifts to the world. Inclusion and belonging create an environment in which each of us can thrive. Here are 3 ways that you can support Tiffany's mission to increase intersectional disability representation and democratize visibility: Hire people with disabilities Incorporate an accessibility lens into your natural way of operating by asking yourself “would a person without sight/sound/full mobility/etc. be able to participate in this?” Donate to the Disability Empowerment Fund References: Diversability Crip Camp Tiffany's social media: LinkedIn Instagram TikTok Twitter Facebook Connect & Share: If you enjoy the podcast, would you please consider leaving a short review on Apple Podcasts/iTunes? Episode 4: What Disability Community? Wednesday, February 3, 2021 GUEST: Tiffany Yu, Founder of DIVERSABILITY https://media.blubrry.com/incluse_this/content.blubrry.com/incluse_this/Incluse_This_S1_E4_What_Disability_Community-Tiffany_Yu.mp3 When we think of disability, we often think of the literal definition, which is a medical issue that keeps a person from fully participating in daily activities. And when we think of disability community, we often think of the total population of all disabled people. However, a medical diagnosis does not automatically make anyone a member of the Disability Community. In today's episode, we explore this phenomenon. QUICK LINKS As language, perceptions and social mores change at a seemingly faster and faster rate, it is becoming increasingly difficult for communicators to figure out how to refer to people with disabilities. This style guide, developed by the National Center on Disability and Journalism at Arizona State University, is intended to help. It covers almost 200 words and terms commonly used when referring to disability. OUR GUEST: Tiffany Yu Tiffany Yu is the CEO & Founder of Diversability, an award-winning social enterprise to rebrand disability through the power of community; the Founder of the Awesome Foundation Disability Chapter, a monthly micro-grant for disability projects that has awarded $41.5k to 42 projects in 8 countries; and the host of TIFFANY & YU, the podcast. She was appointed to the San Francisco Mayor's Disability Council by San Francisco Mayor London Breed in 2019. Tiffany comes into this work based on her own personal experiences of acquiring a disability at a young age as a result of a car accident. Hear from experts joining the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos about some of hot topics on the agenda this year.
Welcome to Finance and Fury, the Furious Friday edition Last week - went over partnership programs and potentials for coercive monopolies – today – implementation of policies in the circular economy – SDG12 Today’s ep – go through google and the largest companies on earth will determine how we produce and consume – or how they want us to produce and consume – all to benefit their own pockets and the global government they back – under the climate change guise These companies are the ones in charge of providing the recommendations for pilot programs for the ‘circular economy’ Circular economy will destroy the modern economy – it is built on consumption – Economists like Krugman can't have it both ways – they say consumption is the key driver – I say it is innovation and supply-side They say this will create growth – but this will do the opposite – reduce innovation Stop and pause for a minute – want to ask if hypocrisy exists in climate strikes and proponents of warming Honest question- are you terrified of the future? If so, why? I am super hopeful – never been a better time to be alive – but listen to the media or Gretta with the UN and you will think that you will die in 10 years. If you think that – what is the point to anything? You might happily let google take over your life and dictate to you how to live – or not save or invest for your future, have kids, look after your own lives As I am hopeful – I do these episodes as a warning about the other angle that Google won’t tell you – that these prophecies are what google is wanting for your future – the fear of it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy – why? You are afraid – want security - the same people who made you afraid come along and say ‘we can protect you’ and give you the easy way out – the Faustian deal – that is why I do these eps – not to pile on to the fear - but show how the so-called solutions are the Faustian deal that will guarantee us the future that everyone is so afraid of – don’t fall for the fear trap If you are newer to the podcast – covered climate ad nauseam – links to episodes where the science is covered and arguments in the show notes on the website This is a socialist political movement – like all watermelons – wrapped in green but red on the inside – control of the economy under any guise has been the MO – the climate is the new angle Greta's parents – Swedish singer and author – out wearing antifa shirts – where the self-labelled anti-fascists act like the brown shirt fascists of the 20th century – Dad wrote two books about climate change – parents profiting and using kids Greta filed a legal complaint accusing five countries of inaction on global warming in violation of the 30-year-old UN Convention on the Rights of a Child. Germany, France, Brazil, Argentina and Turkey - Suing France and Western nations (for climate change, but not China or India?) Why? It is politically motivated Today’s kids – one's protesting – first ones with constant screen time as entertainment – don’t ride bikes or get bus to school, but are dropped off in cars (making traffic worse), every classroom has to have aircon and computers, wanting the new iPhone every year or laptops in every class to stay trendy For the protests - making signs using cardboard and wood, using toxic paints and markers that when disposed are damaging to the environment, look at the photos of the aftermaths of the protests – litter and rubbish everywhere – they can't even clean up after themselves – given away agency to a higher power – daddy Gov and companies Anti-antiestablishment – the counter-counter-revolutionaries wanting bigger governments and socialism Rather than striking, I remember as a kid going out and planting trees and doing world rubbish pickup days every year – actually doing something rather than just yelling at others to do it for me while sitting in aircon, eating processed fast food and watching a movie with all the lights on in the house These same kids under the circular economy – monopolistic competition - won’t be so happy – level of conspicuous consumption will go down – costs go up, so either parent's cop it putting further strain on family budgets, or kids go without – either unacceptable for the screechers – like in NSW – one of the child organisers is the kids of labours head speechwriters – ABC didn’t report that What is it? - A circular economy is an economic system aimed at minimizing waste and making the most of resources Sounds awesome – how? An economy that feeds the top companies and makes any new entrant impossible – you have to be in the club to produce and sell – called a closed-loop system – completely demand-side driven 2019 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos estimates that only 9% of the global economy is circular today They admit that the problem is they cannot know in advance what will work and what will not for the circular economy At least they admit it – unlike central banks working off models back when gold-backed money Instead, have to try out different solutions and scale up what works – this is what they call innovation Innovation - does not only mean scientific research and shiny new technologies: just the ways they set the rules of the game – instead of looking to create the right incentives – pilot programs will focus on enforcement Whenever you hear innovation – they are talking about changing policy – coercive policy to produce the desired outcome “The circular economy is a compulsory choice for a sustainable world” said UNECE Executive Secretary – done by “speaking the language of the people we want to convince” – hence under the guise of climate change – for economic control Global business has a key role to play in moving from a global economy based upon ‘take-make-dispose’ to one based on designing waste out of systems. Google believes in the democratising effect of putting knowledge in the hands of everyone - so they're organising the world's information and making it universally accessible. A circular economy - an economic system aimed at eliminating waste and the continual use of resources. Circular systems employ reuse, sharing, repair, refurbishment, remanufacturing and recycling to create a closed system Proponents of the circular economy suggest that a sustainable world does not mean a drop in the quality of life for consumers, and can be achieved without loss of revenue or extra costs for manufacturers – but don’t look for evidence – none out there to find – so just trust them These companies say that the circular business models can be as profitable as linear models, allowing us to keep enjoying similar products and services – but under monopolistic markets with reduced competition and innovation True for the likes of Google and Unilever – but not for mom and pops store or any other small business Costs to companies will go up – so wage growth will experience downward pressure - Project mainstream – Name of the Circular economy implementation – wants to gain commitment from key stakeholders, establish proof of concept of the economic and environmental benefits of a circular economy through targeted programmes, and reach tipping points that will accelerate the transition, thereby establishing the circular economy as the new norm. The circular economy includes products, infrastructure, equipment and services, and applies to every industry sector. 'technical' resources (metals, minerals, energy resources) 'biological' resources (food, fibres, timber, etc) - Circular economy on food – eco-cannibalism – organ donor your body for food consumption Major circular economy model is the implementation of renting models in over traditional ownership Why own your own electronics, clothes, furniture, transportation – just rent these same products This is where the revenues to the monopoly providers increase - manufacturers can increase revenues per unit, thus decreasing the need to produce more to increase revenues (this is from Project mainstream) Recycling initiatives are often described as a circular economy and are likely to be the most widespread models Includes discussion of the role of money and finance as part of the wider debate -needs a revamp of economic performance measurement tools Outcome – better be worth it - Claims this could help multinationals save US$ 500 million in materials and prevent 100 million tonnes of waste globally – sounds like a lot Current is over 2bn tons of waste – Only 1/3 in high-income countries - so save 5% of global waste in return for coercive state-sanctioned/sponsored monopolies – this is only a promise – not a guarantee that the waste will be reduced They admit they don’t know what the outcome will be – but will let the state take over the economy hoping for this outcome But it sounds like every socialists work program – massive industrialisation - It is a global socialist initiate – really think about it – Even current relying models run by the state/companies – no transparency Implementation – Punitive, not incentive – Carbon tax etc. – what happens when you are punished rather than incentivised? You leave – companies more to other nations without the punishment Truth is – this is in the benefit for the massive companies who can participate in this For you – Limit your choices – to consume and who you are employed by – Reduce the new innovation for everyone else – not currently in power to control the economy Google’s role – One of the major parties working with the UN for the circular economy – the job is to push group think on subjects like circular economy What this means for the future – an enclosed controlled system – determined by Google and their ilk - that makes Skynet looks amateur in comparison Google has come a long way from “don’t be evil” as their motto - monopoly over technology, wholly dedicated to the suppression of human knowledge through censorship, demonetization and de-platforming of any information sources they don’t like. Blocked nearly all websites offering information on natural health and holistic medicine while blocking all videos and web pages that question the scientific topics like climate change, pesticides and GMOs - Google is a front for Big Pharma and communist China and has already demonstrated the ability to manipulate elections to install the politicians they want – like Facebook – said they can be trusted with your data – that turned out to be a lie Recent news – have quantum processor - took 200 seconds to complete a computing task that would normally require 10,000 years on a supercomputer - Bitcoin’s 256-bit encryption is vulnerable – might be why prices dropped in past few days - has the technology to break all cryptography and achieve “omniscience” in our modern technological society – be everywhere at once – even their initial seed funding came from an offshoot of in-q tel – DARPA/CIA funding arm Other companies – 10 in total - one major player in each area in the economy – Clothing, packaging, food, chemicals, medical, transport, construction, etc. Clothing - H&M Group - Exploring solutions to create a closed-loop for textiles, where unwanted clothes can be recycled into new ones. Setting sustainability targets for a circular fashion industry within planetary boundaries using a science-based approach. Applying circular economy principles to its sustainability strategies, both for commercial and non-commercial goods, such as packaging. Finance and Modelling - Intesa Sanpaolo – “intend to foster and disseminate the circular economy principles not only for the international corporates and large companies but also for the small and medium-sized enterprises – which is the main focus of our commitment - enhancing companies’ resilience and changing their business models” Talking to a friend about this – he said doesn’t the banking system already have this – Reserve banks and barriers to entry to start your own bank like back in the day where there was a family owned bank on every corner – I said yes – and look at the mess of the global financial system – now imagine that in 50 years in the whole economy/goods/services We can all agree that pollution is bad -we want to help work towards a cleaner’s future and be more energy efficient If people are worried about energy – tune in for next episode – think it may blow your minds – Talk about the control of resources – and why nuclear is so demonised and dismissed – has nothing to do with radiation – what one of the leading nuclear scientists has lectured about – Galen Windsor - live on stage eaten Uranium oxide – used in nuclear fuel rods in nuclear reactors – has done it in every lecture for years – never had cancer or radiation poisoning – watch videos of him with a giga counter – it is mind gravy stuff – may be hard to accept – but can watch him do it on youtube I spent about 20 hours over the past few weeks researching this further – let alone hundreds over past few years We could have 0 CO2 emissions years ago if not for Government regulations – rather than go for the easy option of Nuclear – they want more regulations in the opposite direction – all about control My role is just to provide you the info – what you do is up to you – I'll leave a link to an hour and a half lecture he gives on this in show notes, and page to the partnership programs for the circular economy Climate Change episodes – https://financeandfury.com.au/say-what-wednesday-is-this-the-solution-for-pollution/ https://financeandfury.com.au/say-what-wednesday-what-is-the-real-danger-behind-climate-change/ https://financeandfury.com.au/what-will-the-paris-climate-change-agreement-do/ https://financeandfury.com.au/say-what-wednesday-why-is-it-unlikely-the-world-economy-will-move-away-from-oil/ https://financeandfury.com.au/adani-coal-mine-pros-and-cons/ Galen Windsor - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMqHTbXm3rs&t=4427s Project Mainstream - https://www.ellenmacarthurfoundation.org/our-story/partners Thank you for listening today, if you want to get in contact you can here https://financeandfury.com.au/contact/

German Chancellor Angela Merkel on 23 January said countries like India and China have begun affecting the world economy much more today and that needs to be taken into account for having a relook at the global trade and financial systems. In a veiled attack at policies being adopted by countries like the US, she said, "There is a new approach in the world that says shouldn't we look after our own, and ensure that our own are looked after." Speaking at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, she said there are a number of disturbances around the world and the IMF has painted a rather gloomy picture of the global economy. She said there is a wakeup call for the world and we need to find out how to move forward. Merkel said compromise these days has a bad reputation, but a global architecture is only possible if we are able to compromise.
