Former British fighter pilots are training the Chinese to shoot down Western aircraft, officials warned last night. Up to 30 pilots have recently moved to China after securing £250,000-a-year contracts to teach Western flying procedures, it was revealed. Nicola Sturgeon today claimed the UK is 'fundamentally on the wrong path' as the SNP leader continued her fresh push for Scottish independence. The Scottish First Minister insisted an independent Scotland would be able to have its own Scottish pound and dismissed suggestions that Scots would be required to use passports to get into England as 'utter nonsense'. But Ms Sturgeon admitted there would be other border checks for trade between Scotland and England. A primary school teacher who lost her job after she refused to address an eight-year-old pupil with male pronouns has launched legal action against the school's governors and the local council. The anonymous teacher is bringing a judicial review after she was sacked by the school earlier this year, with the case to be heard in the High Court in Birmingham next week. Wheelie bins could be a thing of the past as councils across the UK consider whether to roll out European-style 'super-bins' after a successful launch in Liverpool. The huge underground bins, a common feature in European cities such as Amsterdam, can hold up to 5,000 litres of waste - equating to a week's worth of rubbish from 20 houses. A massive £5.5bn was set aside for the Ajax light tanks . But the programme has been a disaster that has been plagued by glitches, with prototypes having damaged the hearing of the troops who tested it and made other personnel sick . Now, with £3.2bn of taxpayers' cash having been pumped into the scheme - which has so far failed to deliver a single one of the promised 589 tanks into service - fresh question marks are swirling whether it is time for the Ajax to be axed entirely. It comes as the new Chancellor, Jeremy Hunt, today warned 'there will be more difficult decisions to be made on both tax and spending' following his predecessor's disastrous 'mini-budget' last month, which caused financial chaos and led to pound plummeting in value. Zidann Edwards and Diago Anderson, both 20, and 17-year-old Tafique Thomas gunned down the schoolboy after he 'strayed onto their turf' in Birmingham. The victim and his friends were on their way to get food when he was attacked in an underpass at Hockley Circus on November 18 last year. A court heard the teen was shot because he crossed into the territory of a notorious gang called Armed Response. Following the chilling attack, Edwards even made a drill rap music video expressing his regret that he had failed to kill the young boy. The victim managed to call 999 despite his injuries to tell the ambulance service he had been shot. The Opposition has launched an unprecedented attack on Police Commissioner Andrew Coster on Tuesday, with National Party MP Simon Bridges calling him a "wokester" and saying he is not tough enough on gangs. National Party Leader Judith Collins told Morning Report she had told Bridges to focus on Ministers with his criticisms rather than public servants, but said her subordinate was simply reflecting frustrations he had heard from the community. She pointed to examples like the scrapping of the New Zealand Police's Armed Response Teams trial, which were trialled for six months. Commissioner Andrew Coster announced in June 2020 the teams would not continue after feedback from the trial. "It is clear to me that these response teams do not align with the style of policing that New Zealanders expect," he said. "We have listened carefully to that feedback and I have made the decision these teams will not be a part of our policing model in the future." Collins said that was not the case for her though. "I represent a South Auckland seat in Papakura, people there were actually very supportive." She said if she were in power she would "absolutely" bring the teams back.
Travis and Kara discuss healthcare when Jessica checks into a hospital/resort. We travel down to Texas to discuss her broken toe and Dr. Sam.

Do current infringements on our liberty justify armed response? Pratt on Texas morning update for Monday, 29 June 2020
The Police Armed Response Team trial is being criticised for attending call outs to deal with children as young as 12 years old while they were in action. The controversial teams were officially scrapped this week, but police data shows the armed units were called out to six incidents involving children - and many of them were Māori. RNZ Māori news correspondent Leigh-Marama McLachlan reports.
Armed Response Teams are dead in the water, with the new police commissioner reading the room when it comes to arming Kiwi cops.
The Police Commissioner has admitted the police should have consulted earlier and more widely before starting its Armed Response Team trial. The Commissioner has now scrapped Armed Response Teams stating New Zealanders have shown they don't want an armed police force. The move has had support from both sides of the political divide with the Greens and the National Party in favour of the move. Corin Dann speaks to Police Commissioner Andrew Coster.
The Police Commissioner says the now-scrapped Armed Response Teams have shown New Zealanders don't want an armed police force. Andrew Coster announced armed officers won't be rolled out nationwide - citing public feedback and consultation with community groups. Mr Coster told Checkpoint last night the police should have consulted earlier - and more widely - before starting the six-month trial. He says the result doesn't mean the teams are a failure. Auckland councillor for the Manukau ward, Efeso Collins, and the Green Party co-leader Marama Davidson, who were both outspoken critics of the trial, speak to Kim Hill.
The Police Commissioner Andrew Coster has announced that Armed Response Teams will not be part of the New Zealand policing model in the future.
Police have dropped the Armed Response Teams policing model after a six-month trial, police say.
The lack of reporting by police on its own Armed Response Teams has been blamed for undermining any permanent roll-out. Police documents show the teams reported on just 17 percent of the events they went to in the trial's first two months. Professor of Biostatistics at Auckland University, Thomas Lumley , told RNZ reporter Jordan Bond if officers were able to pick and choose which events to record, that poses a serious problem to the integrity of the data.
Police on Armed Response Teams failed to record their call outs properly on almost every occasion during the trial's first two months. The six month experiment , which equipped officers with guns on their hips at all times, ended in April. Officers were expected to record each cal lout but after the first two months, data from five out of every six call outs was missing. Police did not provide RNZ with the rate of responses for the rest of the trial. Jordan Bond reports.
There are claims the police trial of Armed Response Teams had fundamental flaws. The six-month trial - which ended in April - is now being reviewed. The Green Party's adding its voice to calls for no increase in arms carried by police.Private investigator and former police officer Tim McKinnel told Chris Lynch police have identified that there was no baseline for comparing the results of the trial.LISTEN ABOVE

A former Armed Response and Traffic Cop and a current serving Police Dog handler and law changer, speak to the legend that is John Nichol about his new book Lancaster - "The Forging of a Very British Legend"
Documents obtained by Checkpoint have revealed numerous issues and a serious lack of consultation before the launch of the Police's Armed Response teams. The trials were launched in Counties Manukau, Waikato and Canterbury, last year in response to the Christchurch mosque attacks. But internal documents, obtained by Checkpoint under the Official Information Act, detail numerous issues. And as Nick Truebridge reports, papers show racism training has also been proposed to curb the ART's potential impact on Māori communities.
New documents reveal the police knew its controversial Armed Response Team trial was flawed from the beginning. The police launched its six-month Armed Response Team trial as a way to tackle a rise in gun crime last year. But a One News investigation has revealed that the police were repeatedly told trialing armed officers on a patrol would not be worthwhile. Documents showed that researchers, who were in charge of evaluating the trial, had raised concerns about its length and the lack of baseline data before it had even started. Police Commissioner Andrew Coster speaks to Corin Dann.

Harvey Brownstone conducts an in-depth Interview with Marina Anderson, Ex-Wife, Author, “David Carradine: The Eye of My Tornado”About Harvey's guest:Today's show is all about a highly acclaimed and beloved legendary actor who captivated the world in dozens of movies including “Death Race 2000”, “Cannonball”, “Bound for Glory”, “Armed Response”, “Thunder and Lightning”, “The Serpent's Egg”, “Gray Lady Down”, “Deathsport”, “Circle of Iron”, “The New Swiss Family Robinson”, and the classic Quentin Tarantino movies, “Kill Bill: Volumes 1 and 2”. And of course, on TV he was immortalized for his portrayal of “Kwai Chang Caine” on the classic hit series “Kung Fu” and “Kung Fu: The Legend Continues”. Our guest had a 6 year relationship with David Carradine, and she was married to him from 1998 to 2001. She was also his manager during that time, and she is widely credited for motivating Mr. Carradine to achieve sobriety and revitalize his career. Following his untimely and shocking death in 2009 in a Bangkok hotel room, apparently caused by “auto-erotic asphyxiation”, our guest wrote a fascinating, compelling and eye-opening, bestselling book about her tumultuous, chaotic, exasperating and intensely passionate relationship with David Carradine. The book was revised in 2014 to incorporate the conclusions she reached following her own personal investigation into the bizarre circumstances of this enigmatic superstar's mysterious death. Our guest has had a long and multi-faceted career in the entertainment industry, not only as an actress, but also working behind the scenes as a manager, writer and publicist, and she's also a strong and devoted advocate for animal welfare. For more interviews and podcasts go to: https://www.harveybrownstoneinterviews.com/To learn more about Marina Anderson, go to:https://www.marinaanderson.net/https://www.facebook.com/marinaanderson1@harveybrownstone,#harveybrownstone,@harveybrownstoneinterviews,#harveybrownstoneinterviews,#MarinaAnderson,@MarinaAnderson,#DavidCarradine,@DavidCarradine,#DeathRace2000,#Cannonball,#BoundforGlory,#ArmedResponse,#ThunderandLightning,#TheSerpent'sEgg,#GrayLadyDown,#Deathsport,#CircleofIron,#KillBillVolume1,#KillBillVolume2,#KwaiChangCaine,#KungFu,#KungFuTheLegendContinues,#alcoholism,#substanceabuse,#autoeroticasphyxiationAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
