In this episode of Arise + Aide, Curtis and Sally dive into Isaiah 12, a brief but powerful chapter of celebration and restoration. Flowing directly from the promises of Isaiah 11, this chapter presents a song of praise for salvation—a turning point from judgment to joy. Curtis reflects on the imagery of God's anger turning to comfort and the hope of restoration even for a people heading into exile. Sally draws rich connections between Isaiah's words and Jesus' conversation with the Samaritan woman at the well, showing how the “fountain of salvation” echoes across Scripture and invites us to trust in God's provision. Together, they explore how this prophetic song calls us to witness and share our faith even in seasons of trial, becoming living testimonies of God's grace. Themes of unity, divine presence, and worship in community resound throughout the discussion, revealing the beauty of God as our strength, our song, and our victory. With echoes from Exodus, the Psalms, and Revelation, Isaiah 12 becomes a chorus of hope that reminds us: joy comes after the storm, and God's presence is our greatest treasure.

The recent American Eagle advertisements featuring Sydney Sweeney have sparked intense public reaction, but amidst the noise, a deeper conversation is being overlooked—one that speaks to the heart of Christian discipleship in our image-driven culture.  Join Jeremy Jeremiah and James St. Simon as we discuss this cultural issue head on.Rather than getting swept up in ideological debates or surface-level controversies, we invite believers to reflect on what Scripture teaches about beauty, modesty, and the dignity of the human person. The human body is a gift from God—fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14)—but how we present that gift reveals whom we serve. In today's culture, where marketing often trades in provocation and the reduction of persons to visual consumption, Christians are called to something higher. The lives of women like Sarah, Hannah, Ruth, and above all, the Theotokos—the Virgin Mary—remind us that true beauty is inseparable from virtue. Their strength, humility, and faithfulness reveal a radiance that no advertisement can replicate.Modesty, in the Christian tradition, is not about shame or repression. It is about reverence—for oneself, for others, and for the God who made us. As St. Paul writes, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit?” (1 Corinthians 6:19). Our bodies are not commodities to be marketed, but sacred vessels meant for glory, love, and service.Marriage itself, the first covenant established by God, points us beyond mere physical attraction toward a deeper union of souls, grounded in sacrificial love and spiritual communion. As followers of Christ, we are called to rise above the culture wars and bear witness to a Kingdom where beauty is not exploited but honored, not flaunted but cherished. Let us strive for a vision of womanhood and manhood rooted in holiness—not in trends, but in timeless truth.Join us for a thoughtful conversation on how we, as Christians, can respond with grace, clarity, and conviction in a world that often forgets the sacredness of the human form. Visit Cloud of Witnesses Radio: https://cloudofwitnessesradio.com/ Questions about Orthodoxy? He explains how true listening involves slowing down, withholding immediate reactions, and allowing emotional expression without taking it personally. Dr. Wilson highlights strategies like containment, proportional response, and attacking the behavior—not the person—to foster healthier communication. With humility and practical wisdom, he underscores that resolving conflict takes maturity, patience, and practice. Purchase The Christian Leader Blueprint book today: https://www.ryanfranklin.org/blueprintbookDownload The Christian Leader Blueprint – Short Guide (Free): https://www.ryanfranklin.org/blueprint Take the Christian Leader™ Self-Assessment (Free):https://www.ryanfranklin.org/clselfassessment Learn more about Christian Leader™ Community Coaching:https://www.ryanfranklin.org/communitycoaching YouTube and Audio Podcast: https://www.ryanfranklin.org/leaderpodcast Connect with Ryan: Email: info@ryanfranklin.org Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/rnfranklin/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/rnfranklin/ Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/rnfranklin/ Audio mastering by Apostolic Audio: https://www.apostolic-audio.com#leadership, #thoughtleadership, #ministry, #pastor, #pastors, #churches, #leadershiptraining, #churchleader, #churchleaders, #influence, #leadershipdevelopment, #coaching, #executivecoach, #leadershipcoaching, #productivitycoach, #productivity, #growthmindset, #theproductiveleader, #ChristianLeader, #ChristianLeadership, #LeadershipPodcast, #FaithAndBusiness, #PodcastInterview, #ChristianEntrepreneurship, #KingdomImpact, #PodcastInspiration, #LeadershipJourney, #PurposeDriven, #ChristianPodcast, #LeadershipEssentials, #LeadershipFundamentalsSend us a text

In this episode of Arise + Abide, we reflect on Psalm 124 and the powerful question it asks twice: What if the Lord had not been on our side? Through this poetic expression of Israel's deliverance, we explore how remembering God's past faithfulness strengthens our present confidence and gratitude. Curtis and Sally unpack the psalm's vivid imagery of being rescued from overwhelming waters and broken traps, drawing connections to our own experiences of spiritual deliverance through Christ. As we consider the implications of God's presence in our lives, we confront the “what ifs” that often plague our thoughts. Whether it's anxiety about the future or regret over the past, counterfactual thinking—when surrendered to God—can be a tool that leads us into deeper gratitude and faith. Drawing from passages like Romans 8 and 2 Corinthians 10, this conversation encourages us to take every thought captive and stand firm in the assurance that our help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. Join us as we remember God's unfailing love, rejoice in our confident hope, and walk in the freedom and transformation Jesus provides.

At Redeemer, our pathway is how we seek to embody our vision and mission, or in other words, put it into practice. We desire every person to enter into intentional apprenticeship to Jesus, to be in a diverse, loving community, and to live in Wichita as witnesses. “The Church exists for nothing else but to draw men and women into Christ, to make them little Christs. If they are not doing that, all the cathedrals, clergy, missions, sermons, even the Bible itself, are simply a waste of time. God became man for no other purpose.” – CS Lewis At Redeemer, we take seriously Jesus' call to “Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Apprenticeship to Jesus is not a one time decision, but a lifelong journey of following Jesus as our master-teacher. Since the goal of the Christian life is maturity in Jesus, apprenticeship must be deep and holistic, transforming the spiritual, physical, emotional, social, and vocational parts of men and women. Apprenticeship to Jesus is learning to practice the way of Jesus in our homes, relationships, neighborhoods, and jobs. We believe Christlikeness is cultivated as we implement spiritual practices, live in community with other believers, and submit to the Word and the Spirit. We agree with Dallas Willard who said, “that the gospel is opposed to earning, not effort.” As we move towards cultivating a life of loving God and people, we trust Christ will mature us into his likeness. https://redeemerwichita.church/

They explore how the Spirit of the Lord rests on this righteous ruler, who judges not by appearance but with divine wisdom, justice, and truth. The conversation highlights how Jesus embodies these prophetic promises and how His reign brings deep transformation—personally, spiritually, and globally. From predator and prey living peacefully to nations reuniting and exiles returning home, Isaiah 11 paints a picture of radical peace and restored relationships. Curtis and Sally discuss the challenge of waiting on the Lord and allowing our nature to be transformed by His Spirit. They also emphasize the promise that God is actively drawing all people to Himself, creating unity and peace through relationship with Him. As the episode unfolds, listeners are invited to see God's ultimate plan for redemption—a world filled with people who know the Lord, walking in His truth, and living without fear.
