(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus Escalating persecution of Christians in Africa International Christian Concern released a new report on the escalating persecution of Christians in Africa.  Targeted attacks are increasing in countries with large Christian populations like Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Kenya.  The report documented attacks that have killed hundreds of Christians in Africa this year. These attacks not only involve brutal killings, but also abductions and displacement. They are often perpetrated by Islamic militant groups.  Please pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ in Africa.  Conservatives arrested for protesting transgenderism Belgian police arrested two conservative activists last Thursday in Brussels, Belgium for protesting transgenderism. Lois Miller, a Senior Legal Communications Officer with Alliance Defending Freedom International, was holding a sign that read: “Children are never born in the wrong body.” And Canadian child protection advocate Chris Elston was holding a sign that read: “Children cannot consent to puberty blockers.”  The two activists called the police after facing aggressive harassment from bystanders. However, the police decided to arrest Miller and Elston! Listen to comments from Miller. MILLER: “They saw that a mob was formed. They saw that we were in the minority, that we were the ones that were being attacked. And instead of standing up for our rights to have those conversations about really important topics to Belgians everywhere, instead they took us away and they let the mob go free.” Proverbs 17:15 says, “He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD.” Progress in U.S.-Chinese trade talks U.S. President Donald Trump announced a preliminary trade deal with China yesterday. Trump said China will provide rare earth minerals and magnets to America and that the U.S. would restart Chinese student visas.  U.S. tariffs on imports from China stand at 55 percent, while Chinese tariffs on imports from the U.S. stand at 10 percent. Total tariffs between the two countries reached 245 percent before trade talks began. Congress might repeal pro-abortion Freedom of Access to Clinics Entrances Act The U.S. House Judiciary Committee advanced a bill this week to repeal the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act also known as the FACE Act. The Biden administration used the act to target peaceful, pro-life activists. Between 1994 and 2024, 97 percent of FACE Act prosecutions were against pro-lifers.  Republican Rep. Chip Roy of Texas said, “With a Republican-led Congress and President Trump's support, we can repeal this law and protect free speech for all.” Clarification on religious groups story from yesterday We apologize for any confusion from our story yesterday about the growth of religious groups around the world. To clarify, the total number of Christians did increase from 2.1 billion to 2.3 billion between 2010 and 2020. However, as a percentage of the world's population, Christianity actually decreased from 30.6 percent to 28.8 percent over the same time period. You see, even though the number of Christians grew over that decade, it did not grow fast enough to keep up with global population growth, especially the fertility rate of Muslims, and thus Christians decreased as a percentage of the world's population. Religious instruction under public school umbrella Public school students in Iowa can now take courses in religious instruction. Iowan Republican Governor Kim Reynolds signed the bill into law last Friday. The measure allows parents to send their children to religious instruction provided by a private group during the school day. Greg Chafuen, senior counsel at Alliance Defending Freedom, said, “Parents have the right and responsibility to guide the upbringing and education of their children. The government should not stop families from raising their children in their family's faith.” Southern Baptists call for overturn of Obergefell homosexual marriage ruling The Southern Baptist Convention adopted multiple resolutions this week on the topics of marriage, sexuality, and human life. One resolution called for the overturning of the U.S. Supreme Court's Obergefell v. Hodges ruling which legalized faux homosexual marriage. Another resolution called for Congress and state legislatures to ban chemical abortion drugs. And a third resolution called for the banning of pornographic content.  Representatives to the Southern Baptist Convention urged, “all Southern Baptists to advocate in the public square for laws and policies that reflect the moral order revealed in Scripture and nature, and to bear witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which alone restores broken lives, redeems sin, and brings eternal hope.” Psalm 119:46 says, “I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.” Worldview listeners in England, Canada and Texas share their hearts I invited Worldview listeners to share what they enjoyed about the newscast in 2-6 sentences. Make sure they understand that the most important thing to do is obey God. Find a private place to spank them. Speak super gentle to them and without anger. Have them tell you what they were supposed to do, but didn't. Ask them: "Did you obey Daddy?" Ask them: "Did you obey God?" Share a verse from the Bible on discipline (Ex. Prov. 13:24). Ask them: "What is God telling me to do?" (child: to spank me) Ask them: "If I don't spank you, am I obeying God?" Tell them: "I want to obey God, because I love you and I love God." Ask them (again):"Do you know why I'm going to give you a spanking?" Pray with them BEFORE you spank them (while holding them close). Use the rod/paddle (NOT your hand) when spanking your child. Hit them only on the bottom (let it hurt, but don't damage them). On this FreightWaves morning minute, hear updates on a major labor dispute and a system outage impacting the logistics sector. A lengthy ⁠Teamsters strike against 10 Roads Express may be nearing an end⁠ after several months of negotiations. A representative from Teamsters Local 79 in Tampa, Florida, indicated that talks are in the final stages of settlement for the walkout, which began in February and involved over 500 Teamster drivers across 10 states for the U.S. Postal Service contract carrier.  Additionally, ⁠United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) was hit with a cyberattack⁠ over the weekend, causing some of its systems to be temporarily taken offline. The wholesale food distributor reported finding unauthorized activity and has notified law enforcement, with social media showing that receivers were unable to scan delivered goods since Sunday.  In Canada, ⁠DHL Express locked out 2,100 delivery drivers, warehouse workers, and customer service personnel⁠ on Sunday due to a failure to reach a collective bargaining agreement. A recent story from NYC documents two slaughtered chickens that were found on an Upper West Side median, following a recent similar case close by on Broadway and West 92nd Street. The NY Post reports that this “has activists worried they were killed in an animal sacrifice ritual.” Headless goats, chickens, and pigeons have also been found in Texas and Florida, respectively Galveston beach, a Tampa cemetery, Cape Coral, the Courtney Campbell Causeway - and other locations too.Most of these cases are tied directly or indirectly to Santería, an Afro-Caribbean religious practice that developed in Cuba during the 19th century. As a mixture of Yoruba religion from West Africa, Spiritism, and even Catholicism - like Voodoo -  it involves animal sacrifices. Contrary to popular belief or personally bias belief, the US SCOTUS ruled in Church of the Lukumi Babalu Aye v. City of Hialeah (1993) that certain animal sacrifices were legal. One opinion on the case reads: “Our review confirms that the laws in question were enacted by officials who did not understand, failed to perceive, or chose to ignore the fact that their official actions violated the Nation's essential commitment to religious freedom.”It's also ironic that Catholicism, a universal religion of people who drink symbolic blood and eat symbolic flesh, is the partial basis of Santería - and Voodoo; both condemned by the largely Christian west. The Corpus Christi and Transubstantiation are based on the concept of sympathetic magic, that life itself is in the blood, and that this force belongs to God as per Deuteronomy and Leviticus. Drinking the blood bestows life, i.e., it is a medicinal remedy, though of a more spiritual variety. That is despite the Bible itself being filled with and overflowing with animal blood, from Genesis to Revelation, and the fact Christians, far more than any other group, are considered the largest consumers of pork alone, not to mention other meats. And unlike HALAL or KOSHER dietary rules, Christians have none for the slaughter of their meals. Around 100,000 cattle are slaughtered daily in the US for the luxury of meat, along with 25 million chickens and 350,000 pigs. The worst part, estimates are that approximately 1/4 of all US meat is wasted annually. What's worse, religious animal sacrifice or gluttonous animal sacrifices that go to waste? Although Christians maintain the blood and flesh rituals, many distance themselves from the idea, while the Jewish custom of Kapparot involves the slaughter of a chicken and public sins. Animal sacrifice for strictly religious purposes and in honest faith - not to mention the symbolic nature of such sacrifices as they relate to the carnal self - are one thing, but the ritualized nature of abortion and body/organ harvesting is another.In South Africa it is common for some children, especially albino ones, to be sold or kidnapped for body parts and organs. Albinos are believed to contain good fortune within their body and blood. As Daily Mail reports: “those who believe in black magic and traditional medicine claim their fair skin and eyes can bring good fortune and cure afflictions.” Be it for religious rituals, health, or profit, Planned parenthood was also doing something similar as per undercover videos and singer like Azealia Banks performed live chicken sacrifices in her closest. In the last 15 years there have been multiple stories about Chinese-made infant flesh pills being smuggled into Korea. All throughout Europe during the 16h-17th centuries, without doubt, “many Europeans, including royalty, priests and scientists, routinely ingested remedies containing human bones, blood and fat as medicine for everything from headaches to epilepsy.” And as with Countess Elizabeth Báthory, who believed the blood of young women would protect her skin, Stanford scientists have found that “old mice given infusions of blood plasma from young mice outperformed old mice who got plasma from old mice.” In the 1960s the rubella shot was manufactured with a virus grown from human fetal cells, taken from an abortion case. *The is the FREE archive, which includes advertisements.
