The past decade has tragically tested the resilience and brilliance of transgender, nonbinary, and gender expansive (trans) people living in the U.S. Misinformation about who we are and what we want has sparked thousands of anti-transgender bills introduced in nearly every state capital across the country, adversely impacting almost every segment of the trans community. Despite this harsh reality, the future is a rainbow, and it's wise for business leaders to recognize this truth. It's also essential for these leaders to recognize the responsibility they have to prepare their organizations today in anticipation of this future talent upgrade. Afterall, the latest research shows that 20% of Generation Z identifies as LGBTQ+, and of that number 1 in 4 are nonbinary, with another 20% questioning their gender identity. Many business leaders today struggle with how to build gender-inclusive workplaces and ways to prioritize this essential aspect of advancing their diversity, equity, and inclusion commitments in the face of unprecedented backlash. Strong objections from a well-organized and vocal minority, which are out of alignment with public opinion, have led some organizations to backtrack on their gender inclusion commitments. To enhance the skills and confidence leaders will need to weather this current storm, this episode of the Business of Belonging mini-series features Third Segment CEO, Amanda Simpson, and JPMorgan Chase Executive Director, Chris Mossiah. Amanda serves as an advisor on aerospace, energy, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. As a nationally renowned speaker, she has presented before a wide variety of corporate, government, and nonprofit audiences. She has served in executive leadership positions at Airbus, Raytheon, and Douglas Aircraft, and the Obama Administration as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Operational Energy.  Chris is an Executive Director at JPMorgan Chase's consumer & community banking line of business. They are also the co-chair of the Firmwide Gender Expansive Council and co-lead for the Transgender, Gender Nonconforming, and Nonbinary Subcommittee of the PRIDE Tri-State BRG. Both Chris & Amanda serve on Out & Equal's Transgender & Nonbinary Executive Leadership Circle. Together, we explore: Common Barriers. What are some of the common barriers transgender and nonbinary people experience at work? Future of Work. Why is the future of work gender-diverse, and what can business leaders do today to prepare? Gender-Inclusion Practices. What actions can leaders take today to build more spaces of belonging for gender diversity to flourish? This interview was designed to support people like you - visionary leaders, and those on their way to joining us. During the past decade, public confidence in education has been declining. In this episode, SUNY Chancellor John B. King Jr. joins us to discuss his new book that provides a compelling narrative of the value of education in transforming lives. Chancellor King  has a long history of involvement with education. After graduating from Harvard, he acquired a Master's degree from Teacher's College at Columbia University and taught high school social studies. He later co-founded Roxbury Preparatory Charter School and served as a co-Director for five years. Under his leadership, students in this school attained the highest scores of any urban middle school in the state and closed the racial achievement gap. After acquiring his doctoral degree from Columbia and a law degree from Yale, Dr. King served as New York State's Education Commissioner from 2011 to 2014. He left NY for a while to work in the Obama administration as Deputy Secretary of Education from 2015 to 2016 and joined Obama's Cabinet as Secretary of Education from 2016 to 2017. Following his work in the Obama Administration, Dr. King continued to advocate for increased educational equity and access as President and CEO of the Education Trust. He now serves as Chancellor of the State University of New York. We're interviewing Dr. King in his role as the author of his new book and not in his role as the SUNY Chancellor. Since American president Donald Trump was elected to a second term, it is common to hear citizens, journalists, and public officials distinguish between the laws and leaders of their states and the national government. Those who oppose Trump's policies with regard to reproductive rights, gun violence, LGBTQ+, education, police, and voting often present state constitutions, courts, laws, culture, and leaders as a bulwark against Trump's autocratic rule.  But Professor Stephen H. Legomsky sees it differently. His new book, Reimagining the American Union: The Case for Abolishing State Government (Cambridge University Press 2025) argues that – if we care about democracy – we should imagine an America without state government. No longer a union of arbitrarily constructed states, the country would become a union of one American people. Reimagining the American Union understands state government as the root cause of the gravest threats to American democracy. While some of those threats are baked into the Constitution, the book argues that others are the product of state legislatures abusing their powers through gerrymanders, voter suppression, and other less-publicized manipulations that often target African-Americans and other minority voters. Reimagining the American Union interrogates how having national, state and local legislative bodies, taxation, bureaucracy, and regulation wastes taxpayer money and burdens the citizenry. After assessing the supposed benefits of state government, Professor Legomsky argues for a new, unitary American republic with only national and local governments. Stephen H. Legomsky is the John S. Lehmann University Professor Emeritus at the Washington University School of Law. Professor Legomsky has published scholarly books on immigration and refugee law, courts, and constitutional law. He served in the Obama Administration as Chief Counsel of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and later as Senior Counselor to Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson. It actually is Party One of a documentary that is revealing previously hidden facts from January 6. Steve has confirmation that former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is implicated of playing a part in the planning and happenings on that day! There are multiple additional parts of the story to come. Meanwhile, we are watching the Leftists in our government cannot find anyway to recover from the election results. Democrats don't know what to do! Today, you'll hear more examples of how ridiculous are their screams and hollering at each other about what to do. The problem? Democrats have lost their cohesiveness they used for decades to control the majority of voters in the U.S.! Worse, though, is their inability to choose who is going to represent their party and what their party is actually about.Hear details of what looks like may cancel the validity of a stack of pardons given by President Biden on his way out of the White House. Those pardon were not "signed." They were electronically signed by a machine! It's an "autopen." It's been in use since the Obama Administration. Now a mindfulness master (danielgutierrez.com) and bestselling author (Radical Mindfulness), he leads life-changing retreats to Peru, teaching Radical Mindfulness and the power of living and loving fully in the present. A Life-Changing Encounter with Wachuma In his search for enlightenment, Daniel took San Pedro (Wachuma), a plant medicine known for opening the heart and deepening wisdom. Unlike the intense night visions of Ayahuasca, Wachuma is taken during the day, bringing clarity and connection to nature. During the experience, he saw a powerful condor (a large bird of prey)—a sign to trust his inner wisdom and embrace his path as a teacher and healer. A Mother's Final Words of Freedom During his mother's dying moments, Daniel experienced the sacred energy of Palo Santo wood. He saw two lights and felt her presence. Her last words to him: “You were here when I needed you. I release you to the world.” With that blessing, he stepped fully into his mission of love and mindfulness. Radical Mindfulness: The Art of Being Fully Present Mindfulness rewires the brain—lowering fear, increasing memory and planning, and boosting compassion by 23%, while reducing aggression by 57%. Daniel's Six-Step Radical Mindfulness Framework helps people stay present: Focus on the present (breath, senses). Direct thoughts to the moment. Ask: Am I okay right now? Question fear: Is this real? Assess: Am I moving toward or away from my goal? Take action: Shift energy through movement. Plant Medicine: Nature's Teachers and Healers Daniel learned that Indigenous wisdom sees plants as living beings (Anima). If a plant loves you, it heals you. This is a sacred exchange—plants willingly offer their spirit when treated with gratitude and respect. Finding Peace in Sacred Lands Daniel now runs the Catalina Retreat Center (catalinaretreatcenterperu.com), named after his beloved departed mother. He leads earnest seekers on transformational journeys to Peru, including spiritually evolved places such as Cusco and Machu Picchu in the Andes.   A New Definition of Success Once a "big baller" in the business world, Daniel discovered that true success isn't about money or power. From Zero to Unstoppable: Krista Drobac on Transforming Healthcare Delivery

Note: This episode was recorded on December 17, 2024, and reflects the policy landscape and political context of that time. When Krista Drobac arrived in Washington, D.C., fresh out of college, she had no car, no connections, and no clear path—just a determination to make a difference in politics. What began as a leap of faith quickly turned into a lifelong mission to transform healthcare policy. Today, as a founding partner of Sirona Strategies, Krista is a driving force behind some of the most innovative approaches to care delivery—from telehealth to home-based models. Her career took root in the late 1990s, when she led a groundbreaking campaign for stem cell research, uniting patient groups to advocate for life-changing treatments. Since then, Krista has become a trusted voice in healthcare policy. She is a true leader focused on spotting growth opportunities and mitigating risks stemming from policy changes at both federal and state levels. By merging market dynamics with regulatory shifts in Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial care, she guides companies—from startups to Fortune 10 giants—in building models of care that capture new opportunities. With deep relationships across both industry and government, and a rich history in the United States Senate, the Obama Administration, the National Governors Association, and state government, she is uniquely qualified to spot trends that drive change. In addition, she founded three coalitions dedicated to ensuring patients have access to telehealth, more home-based care, and integrated social services. In our conversation, Krista takes us behind the scenes of her journey—from her early days advocating for stem cell research to her current efforts to revolutionize care delivery. She opens up about the challenges of balancing innovation with affordability, the importance of addressing the root causes of chronic disease, and why now is the time for bold, transformative ideas in healthcare. The Voice Of GO(r)D podcast is extremely honored to have had the opportunity to introduce to you Mr Shannon Everett, of a legitimate trucker advocacy organization called American Truckers United that has been crunching data on the flooding of America's trucking market with foreign ‘drivers', and how our political class is allowing and actively encouraging our replacement.ATUs look into the issue of Commercial Drivers Licenses (CDLs) over the past decade has revealed some very questionable spikes with various states issuing them at 5 to 10 times the normal rate starting in 2020, and continuing into 2024. The Covid demand spike in 2020 and 2021 does not explain all of this as the spike has continued through the freight crash and recession that started in 2022.Shannon tells us why.ATUs research has also shown a major correlation between the insourcing of foreign labor onto our roads and a slow and steady increase in truck involved collisions and fatalities that curiously start around 2016, when the FMCSA, under the Obama Administration, waived any enforcement of English language proficiency as required under 42 CFR § 391.11 (b)(2).Shannon also describes for us how various states are actively writing legislation not to stop any of this, rather, they actively encourage it by changing definitions and lowering standards for the privilege to operate a Big Rig in America. But he is fighting back, and has an Arkansas State Representative named Wayne Long, who with ATU crafted legislation to prevent Arkansas from lowering standards that allow the insourcing of unvetted foreign labor on to our roads.Shannon also described the economic aspect to this problem, and how the insourcing of all these foreign drivers to America has effectively created two parallel trucking markets that each play by a different set of rules, and, more importantly, a different set of costs, which allows one market to vastly undercut the other.2024 was another bloodbath for small to medium sized trucking companies in America, and if you want to read about the hundreds of closed companies, those seeking bankruptcy protection, and the thousands of drivers who are now unemployed, head on over to FreightWaves - they have an entire section of their website dedicated to nothing but news of this economic disaster.https://www.freightwaves.com/news/category/news/business/layoffs-and-bankruptciesI want to ask everyone who has listened to this podcast or read through the notes here to head over to ATUs website and sign up to become a member, and thus keep up with all of the news in the battle to save the American Trucker, and many lives.https://americantruckers.com/sign-up-now/For more information, charts, data, statistics, and a ton of links on this issue, head on over to https://autonomoustruckers.substack.com/p/the-replacement-of-american-truckersAs always, questions, comments, suggestions, corrections and Hate Mail are welcomed and strongly encouraged - gordilocks@protonmail.com

The now debunked claim ultimately led to an impeachment attempt that fell short in the U.S. Senate. OCCRP denies the report's findings. 3:20pm- The U.S. Senate has confirmed Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence in the Trump Administration. The final vote was 52-48 with only one Republican voting against her appointment, Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY). 3:30pm- Constitutional Crisis! Similarly, The New York Times newsroom accused the Trump Administration of ignoring court orders and creating a “constitutional crisis,” but amazingly concedes the “crisis” will likely be resolved with the Supreme Court ruling in Trump's favor! They conclude their article by preemptively accusing the court of “abdicating their responsibility.” 3:40pm- During Wednesday's White House press briefing, CNN's Kaitlan Collins accused the Trump Administration of “barring” an Associated Press journalist from a recent Oval Office Q&A with President Donald Trump. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt dismissed the claim and noted that the Associated Press has reporters in the briefing room RIGHT NOW. 3:50pm- Rich teases a big show announcement in the 5 o'clock hour. Kennedy assassination. According to a report from Axios, the FBI recently discovered 2,400 records tied to the Kennedy assassination. 4:40pm- Speaking from the Oval Office on Wednesday, President Donald Trump continued to call out documented instances of government waste—praising Elon Musk and DOGE for unearthing misappropriated taxpayer money. 5:00pm- Dr. Wilfred Reilly—Professor of Political Science at Kentucky State University & Author of “Lies My Liberal Teacher Told Me”—joins The Rich Zeoli Show and reacts to the Pod Save America hosts, all former Obama Administration staffers, admitting they wish they had thought of a Department of Government Efficiency.
