I am proud to say welcome back. In this opening of Dungeonetics we are welcomed to a mixed group of adventurers all looking or seeking someone who has gone missing. In one instance a young mother with two missing kids, another a father hot on a killers trail, another still a bard looking for his musical pair and friend. Flowers and coin are spread under a quick sausage and soft cheese spread, and as the facts grow and characters find their voice, they have a common problem. All of which lead to a mystery of sorts and a garuntee by me, the editor. One of the previous listed mysteries gets revealed in this episode of Dungeonetics. So join us as Corvus, Nix, Papa Georgio, and the team tackle Daimen's Farmhouse in search of the elusive Sid. Couple of real notes here: these sessions lead directly into our new episodes of Dungeonetics, so a great jumping in point is always our one shots. If you like the flavor of loosely well recorded original content homebrew out of various houses in CT, USA. Then stay. Shout-out to the reel doofs, you king of kings. Thanks again to Kellen, Games Brown, and Virus of Ideals for your musical takes and tooks and until next time... have a magical adventure
The crew does some intensive training so they can all remember what it is to fight together and stand strong, side by side.

What if superhero movies stopped telling us how heroes began—and just let them be heroes? In this Moving Panels: One Shot, Laramy Wells and cohost Justin Baker take a nerdy deep dive into the evolution of the superhero origin story, from the simple, efficient beginnings of Golden Age comics to modern movies that skip origins altogether. Why do some characters need their beginnings retold every generation, while others can jump straight into the action? We talk about how comic book storytelling shaped the way films approach origins, why audiences may be experiencing origin fatigue, and which characters—like Batman, Spider-Man, Wolverine, and more—can carry a movie without their origin ever being shown. If you've ever thought, “Yeah, I know how this hero got their powers—can we move on?”… this episode is for you.

From Paul Thomas Anderson comes a tale inspired by the novel “Vineland”. It could very well be up for best picture. Episode 303 of the Antler Up Podcast features a conversation with Nate Sellers of Average Jack Archery, diving into the lessons learned through seasons of hunting, consistent archery practice, and mental resilience. Together, we unpack how indoor archery leagues and regular reps play a major role in outdoor success, and why practice matters more than perfect conditions. Nate shares insights on understanding deer behavior, managing stress in high-pressure moments, and the importance of quickly recovering from bad shots—because one mistake doesn't have to define a hunt or a season. We also discuss the value of the archery community and competition, from welcoming local leagues to the role they play in building confidence, skills, and long-term improvement. Nate explains how getting out of your comfort zone, engaging with others, and focusing on action over overanalyzing gear can transform both your shooting and your mindset. This episode is a reminder that growth comes from consistency, reflection, and embracing failure as part of the process—making Episode 303 a must-listen for bowhunters and archers looking to sharpen their mental game and continue getting better year after year. Send us a textWriter/director Jeff Hupp joins The Fixate & Binge Podcast to discuss his 2025 indie feature BAND ON THE RUN— a heartfelt, DIY road-trip film shot in just eight days that captures a fleeting moment in the late 1990s Detroit Garage Rock scene.Centered on the rock trio 'Hot Freaks', the film follows drummer Jesse Grant (Matthew Perl) as he rallies his bandmates to chase a last-chance opportunity to play SXSW, hoping to escape the gravitational pull of dead-end jobs and inherited disappointment. What begins as a familiar “band on the road” story becomes something more intimate when Jesse's paraplegic father (Larry Bagby) joins the journey — grounding the film in a deeply human exploration of ambition, regret, and the fragile bond between parent and child. In this conversation, Hupp reflects on Detroit's often-overlooked music history, the realities of ultra-low-budget filmmaking, his own background in advertising, and why Band on the Run is ultimately less about success than the courage to try. Drawing inspiration from films like ALMOST FAMOUS and THE COMMITMENTS, the episode celebrates artists who dare to take their shot — even when the odds are stacked against them.Band on the Run is now streaming on Amazon Prime!Thank you for listening! In this Moving Panels One Shot, Laramy and Nicholas dive into one of the most debated topics in comic book movie fandom: are some films judged harshly because they're genuinely bad, or because a single performance throws everything off balance? From great actors trapped in messy movies to questionable choices in otherwise solid films, we explore what truly makes a performance “bad” — and whether it's always the actor's fault. We take an in-depth look at Brandon Routh in Superman Returns, Margot Robbie in Suicide Squad, Jamie Foxx in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Tom Hardy in Venom, and Katie Holmes in Batman Begins, and we even give some love to Nicolas Cage and his unforgettable contributions to the genre. Join us for a fun and thoughtful discussion about the strange alchemy of performances, tone, and storytelling in comic book adaptations.
