What is Good Communication? Good communication comes down to a variety of factors. And yes, it's up to both the message-giver and receiver to make communicating effective. How to Improve Communication Skills Interpersonal communication is called interpersonal communication because it's taking place between two people. Maybe you grew up in a family that was just bad at communicating or you've picked up some bad habits along the way. Regardless, it's always a good idea to brush up on your communication skills and remind yourself of how to do so in a healthy and effective way. Practice Active Listening Misunderstandings are all-too-common. Yet, many of these misunderstandings could be well avoided by simply listening. And this doesn't mean listening and responding with the first thing that pops into your head. It means actively listening.  Pay Attention to Your Body Language If you're speaking nicely but your arms are crossed and you're frowning, this probably won't come off how you intend it to. Body language matters!  Be Specific Generalized statements tend to confuse people. Thus, the more specific the better. Instead of saying “that thing,” name the object. All right. So what does that look like? Well, up until Constantine, we had those cylinders firing to the five-cylinder engine running on one cylinder all these years putt putt putt instead of wrong, you know? And so that's why it's taken 2000 years, right? People say, Are you saying that we are the reason that God has waited? Oh, yeah. People get really upset when you say that. It's like who show me that in Scripture? Well, if you live this way, you hasten the day of the Lord's coming. Well, we haven't been living that way ever since that was written in the first century. All right, well, you know what I'm trying to say. Right, so the fivefold ministry, so you get a young minister, here's the best way I can explain it. I'm not dissing anybody. All right. except for us in general, we missed it. We need to repent, we need to get led by the Spirit of God. Again, the main goal of what I'm sharing is intimacy with Jesus time alone with Jesus, it's the answer. And we could you could, we could come back to that, but I can, praying in the Spirit and that kind of thing. Right?That's, that's eating from the tree of life.Yes. That's the difference right there. It's time alone, like those two young men that I told you about that at the braised in the church, and never had a miracle came to me desperately. I'll share that in a minute if you remind me. But I want to finish this thought on the fivefold ministry. So a young minister, you know, he gets out of what I call the cemetery. seminary. I call it cemetery because, by the time liberal theologians get done with you, you're lucky to be a Christian anymore. Yeah, they'll mess you up. But so, you know, knowledge puffs up it's real. So But anyway, so he gets out of these gonna go and rocket into world evangelism. Right? He's all excited. Started church and what do you do a rental hall? preach his buns off. All right, preach, preach, preach and pass the hat. See what happened? Right. And I'm being a little flip with it. But you know, and then it starts to take off, you know, people say, Well, he pretty good teacher. And, you know, when he got to go there for a while, just by proxy, you know, I live close or whatever. So things started to take me. Well, he gave men you know, he took captivity captive and gave gifts to men. That's the Scripture. Right? So what gifts to give apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, and then and then the other gifts, right? And so, let's say that this young man is an evangelist. Alright, okay. Or a prophet, or even an apostle? Right? Young apostle, a lot of people you'd be surprised how many people in the body of Christ think that there was only 12. You know, it's an office, it's a gift. It's a calling to this very day, and it was like 20, some named in the New Testament. But anyway, so. So he goes out and he gets a church. He starts in charities, preaches every Sunday, right? But he's not a pastor. So pretty soon he's got counseling going every day. He's got dad is delegating all this stuff to all these people. He's got, he gets caught up in the ministry thing, and he does the only thing that's out there. So when a guy comes out of the cemetery, out of seminary, and he goes to start his Adventist formal ministry, he's only got one place he can go pulpit. Okay, because that's what we inherited from Constantine. But the other four gifts. We haven't heard from them. And the reason we haven't matured the way we should have and wrap this thing up so that the Lord would see that his bride was on track, mature without spot or wrinkle, and come back is that those other four-cent cylinders weren't firing in that engine. Now, you say, Well, wait a minute, well, let me put it this way. When the printing press came out, right, and well, really, when the 95 theses went up, right when Luther said, No, no, no, we've had it with this whole Vatican thing. You know, you're not going to control us anymore. We can read the Bible. We can, we can understand we can be like we were in the first century. That's basically what he was saying. And he had his issues that everybody does, you know. And, but so when the printing press came out, here came all this Christian literature. Well, the different Christian authors, some were prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, and apostles. And they would write from that slant. Okay, that kind of Revelation, you know, each one of those gets, you have a little bit of different slant, you know, and, and once Christians began to not only be able to read the word, which is infinitely more important, that's what started things, you know, people because the Vatican wouldn't let anybody read the Bible except the priests. And can you imagine that?Sounds familiar? Let's see, there's, yeah, I won't go there. Anyway. So like where we are right now in the world. So true, cannot be spoken. Unless one party speaks it? I'm sorry, what truth cannot be spoken unless one party speaks it? Oh, you mean? Yeah. In the church in that? No.And? Well, what I was thinking when you said that is that, you know, the conservative Christian voice cannot be spoken. Because the people that have the mic, are in control. Oh, I see. Yes, I'm saying so there that is up there, up there in this corner in the media and the social media. Yeah. Political parties involved. The only truth that can be spoken is what they think is true. Yeah, well, yeah. And everybody else has to sit in the Pew and take it and so well, that principle has worked itself out into that's the fruit of what I'm talking about. And, and a lot another way we could go there. That's a whole nother thing, because what we've done in the process of losing the other five other for gifting, right, was we abdicated, we no longer understood that we were supposed to be in the gate. Meaning, you know, Dietrich Bonhoeffer stood up against Hitler. Because he understood this. Christians are supposed to influence the world, we're some this world should be we're salt and light, we should, this world should be under the influence of the church not you know, and we've abdicated, we've let we've surrendered our influence and authority and authority. Absolutely. But what's coming, and that's where you're talking about what where we are now, what's coming is the is that what we're in is the reestablishment of the apostolic.We've been in the prophetic restoration, which came with the charismatic renew. And now, for some time now, we've been in the Apostolic restoration of that, that gift is being restored. With that one comes authority. We're going to see manifest authority and apostolic means explain that a little bit more.Well, apostolic a lot of people think well, an apostle plant churches. Oh, that's true. But that's just one of the things that app, app stock person does. He also has authority for oversight and, and, you know, teaching, put it this way, you are an apostle, it can fire on the other cylinders because Jesus is in us. And this is true for all of us, right? A lot of people don't realize this in the body don't realize, either. It's the Spirit of the Lord that does anything. You know, like we were praying before we started this like, it's the anointing the bricks do. Right? This is not about good teaching. Paul said so he said, you know, the gospel is not about clever words of men's wisdom, but about the demonstration of the spirit and power. Well, we lost power in the Fourth, third century because of Constantine. Right, and he took over and we've been a mess ever since. But coming back to that fivefold ministry thing, when Christian literature came out, they you know, this is God, because for me to come back and remember where I was, anyway, Christian literature brought those other parts to the surface, yes to the bride, so she could go, oh, wow, never thought of that. And then we start getting the whole counsel of God. What does it say about the fivefold ministry? It's why was it given? Right? For the edification of the bride? Right. To we all come to what the fullness is a statue of Christ. You can do that. Wow, that's Ephesians and Colossians. Right there, maybe. But anyway, so I wanted to complete that thought it's so important. Right? Well, so in the last special, especially 50 years, there's been this explosion of Revelation. Coming, especially with the reestablishment of the charismatic Well, with the Charismatic Renewal renewal came the prophetic perception, which is not just the telling, for telling, it's telling for you have teaching profits, and you have Sears, you know, that kind of thing. But anyway, so, I know, this has been very long-winded, but it's so, so important that we get these three, or four things in, in our perception in our knowledge. You know, it says, My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. So they're going to be people that, you know, face him on that day and say, Hey, we did miracles in your name, alright. And he's gonna say, I never knew you. He's going to reject those people. And they pray, and they pressed into the word so far, they found that there's intrinsic power in the word itself. What do you mean, you could get a miracle without really hanging out with Jesus? The Word of God is so powerful. It's creative. It's the Word of God. It's so powerful that given a certain element of how would you diligence, right? You can hard work? Yeah, yeah. Just, yeah, just applying the Word of God on a certain level. You can he can break through and start to get you to know, something on the other side. That is the supernatural. That's how they did. They were casting out demons. I mean, there's power in the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus, I command you to come out, they're going to come out. I mean, if you do that enough, right. And people get deliverance ministries and stuff. That's not a fivefold ministry, by the way, that's just happening. By course. That's why the Lord said, don't get hung up on that. Right? Hey, you know, they said, Lord, even the spirits are subject to our name, right? Well, he gave him that authority, that authority came to them before the resurrection. We forget that. Yeah. So there's power and intrinsically, there's power in the Word of God. And these people were using that separate from an intimate relationship with the Lord. Well, you know,if you think about it, what we, you know, what are we doing? You know, what, each Sunday we go, you know, Honey, what time is it? Are we're gonna miss the game? You know, he, what is he done? Yeah, you know, hide in the pews and the big church and all that stuff. I'm kind of tanging now, but well, you get the point. So where we are, is that the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, right? Right, is what we do, and often, not always. And what we've done so far is we have worshiped the Ministry of Lord rather than the Lord of the minister, both in the pews and in the pulpit. And we find our identity in ministry. You know, it's like a pastor, Pastor. So, if you look at history, the first three centuries, we go We could just be like the early church. Oh, really? Well, the pastor was back man, the pastor was supposed to work himself out of the job. And he wasn't supposed to have a whole bunch of people. Because then you can't tell, you know, the church then was small, all of them because you know, everybody's stuff. And that's how you grow. But in a big church, I mean, you could be sitting next to an ax murderer and you wouldn't know it. Do you know? You could hide there and a drug addict or bad marriage. Well, yeah, no, unless, yeah, yeah. And the relationship with them.So but the point is, we've made our own train, get on the train. Okay. Sorry, I lost my train of thought.Anyway, so but this is so serious, you know, and I don't mean to be flipped with it. I tend to get very colloquial, and, you know, but that's just because I want to, I want to make sure people, my brothers and sisters are realizing I don't have an agenda. I'm not trying to be somebody I am. I'm desperate to fulfill my calling. Right. And it? My, you know, I, I don't want to get into that. But so that book restoration, preparing for his fullness, discusses this. All right. And we have to make sure we have to get along with the Lord, we need to repent, not only for what we've allowed happening in our nation, in the murdering of 60 million children, right. Not only do we need to repeat for repent for all of that stuff, but we need to get along with Jesus in a way we've never done before. All right,I'm hearing that I'm, you know, as I'm seeing different people leaders out there speaking, it's amazing how many are saying the same thing or saying, you know, it's really getting down to where it's one on one, it's in that closet, in that bedroom, and that on that couch, wherever you would out in the world, Lord Jesus, you know, just you and him. Yeah, that's it. I mean, that we've gotten away from that so much.Yeah. And that's the answer across the board. Because you can't, you know, it's the anointing that breaks the yoke, you can't you know, if they came to this, Lord, you know, we can't cast this demon out. Right. And he said These come out by prayer and fasting. So there's an element of diligence involved. He doesn't want robots. Right? He wants a family.So, so looking at good and evil in life, then everything we tend to be doing here. You know, is found in intimacy on the other hand, this is pure intimacy. Yeah. Client mystery. Hmm. So if you go climb a tree, which tree are you climbingYeah, day, and climbing that tree. That's a whole nother teaching there. It's like, you know, some people, they have a religious experience, they feel the warm cookies off the presence of the Lord or something. Right. And they that's Christianity for the rest of our life.Yeah. And they never get baptized in the Holy Ghost, they never come to the next level. They never spend time alone with him. And it's just once a while they read the Bible and feel good about themselves. And that's, that's the bulk of Christianity. I hate to say it, but and we can't do that. And then another now that next level is people going to church all the time being diligent, you know, and doing this stuff. And they're still not alone in the Jesus lot. And, and we get it. I mean, I get, it so hard for a lot of people sometimes. Oh, yeah, five kids, you know, job all day. It's not easy. No, it's not to say that it is easy. It's not easy, but that's what's most important.Well, and what you know, in one sense, it's easy because if you get to a certain point, and you say, Lord, I can't, I can't do what I'm supposed to do. I'm, I'm weak and worn out. There's too much at Hill and you I lay it at your feet and he lifts it. This Christianity either says supernatural or bunk, right? If you're not having the supernatural in your space, something is Wrong. You know, now that's a radical statement for many Christian. But check this out. Remember the two young men I said, bring me back to writing Wow, this is God, I remember thatGuys gee did I used to use the 70s back for an excuse, you know, now I can use senior moment. Let's a friend that I have been disciplining him and his family for years now. He came to me one day just desperate. He says, You know, I hear about all these miracles that you've seen. And in my second book is my testimony that all these over-the-top miracles. Yeah, but I won't go into that because it is way over the top. But it's, you know, it's the truth. So he says, How come I don't have those kinds of miracles? 40 years and the truth? I've done it all done it everything I can they say I'm supposed to do never even had a prophetic word or dream. Right. So what am I doing wrong? And I said, well, when's the last time I rhetorically asked two questions, actually asked three, the last one not being rhetorical. I said, when's the last time you spent three hours praying in the Spirit? Right, before you get answers, and When's the last time you spent two hours praying in the Spirit? Before you get answers, andWhen's the last time you spent one hour praying in the Holy Ghost praying in tongues. And he thought about it because I've never done I said try to get back to me. But two days later, he called me ranting. He was going off. You're not gonna believe what happened. And he was so excited, just ready to pop it out. And he had his first elaborate dream, prophetic dream, you know, when it's God and when it's too much pepperoni, right. And he is he went into he described it to me the whole time. He's talking Lord's giving me the interpretation. And so I won't go into it, but it was elaborate. I mean, it was so obvious what it was. And it was like a what they call a poltergeist in the world, you know, a legion if you will. A stronghold. Very in their house. We all knew something was wrong. So this young man, he, he said, I've never you know, I've never done that. So he did it. And we had this he had his first breakthrough. And two days later, and it's just going on it was in the dream, he described, like a Medusa kind of thing, grotesque creature, and I knew what it was. And I And the Lord said, there is something in your home that you need to get rid of immediately. And, and I had, I was privy to it. They were missionaries before. And they had bought this wonderful, beautiful little fold-up handmade table. And it had the Mayans Zodiac on. Well, the Mayan Zodiac is like a pentagram. And it's such an established stronghold. That, you know, it's like, what a couple 1000 years of cutting the hearts out a little girl. Well. I wonder if there are any demons on that. And, and he should Lord, show me exactly what it was you get that thing out of your house right now. Right. And first of all, in the dream, he did so well. He bound the thing and went after it. And it was awesome. I mean, I'm leaving everything out. It was really, really elaborate and wonderful. But so he I think he took it out use it for target practice.Right? It's good.Yeah, it's awesome. So the exact same thing happened with one of my loved ones. He was my family, part of my family. He was raised in the church, the same thing about 40 years of obedience, you know, did everything he's supposed to do? And they a little digression. And his team's like we all do. And but he said the exact same thing. This is only like a week later, came up said the exact same thing to me. I said the exact same thing to him.And you've said the exact same thing to me.Oh, that's right. Yeah, that's right. You forget that. And because you said the exact same thing. That's right. forgot about that. But so, day and a half later, after I told him you know when's the last time he prayed in tongues for an hour, right? He never did that. He did it. Dana, half later ranting on the phone, you're not gonna believe and again, exact same thing happened, it labored dream that actually saved my daughter's car from being stripped. It's too much to go into here, elaborate, very clear interpretation. And so she was able to sell that car she wanted to sell at that time, and she wouldn't have been able to if it had been stripped. And second, it's a long story, not a good neighborhood be stripped. Right. So what you're saying,Yeah, yeah, her car was being they were stripping her car, a very high-end car at the time and putting in the second market, where they call it second market, part aftermarket part. And so it would have been a piece of junk when she got it back. And the Lord showed the whole thing. Even showed the guy involved really well, it was amazing. But anyway, so you know, I know we've gone very long, but this is very important information for where we are right now. We've just crossed over all wrap it up here. We've just crossed over into that home stretch. And the bride is being given a crash course. And if you haven't noticed all the prophetic teaching guys out there. I mean, a lot of them are doing that in-time stuff. And that's, that's appropriate. Definitely. But even the teaching prophets are saying all the same things. They're all getting the same stuff. Right?And they're not calling it Hey, what did you get this week? Oh, I got this. And this. No, it's, I mean, I'm getting that stuff. And I'm not anywhere near that. And that's seeing in my spirit, and I'm like, then I hear somebody saying, I'm like, wow, that's what I'm hearing.Yep. Like the 90% thing. I was talking about that front end of it. So he's going to have us on the same page, because we have the mind of Christ, and the heart of the Father, hopefully, that's my constant prayer. And I, I encourage my brothers and sisters, to ask continually ask the Lord, for the mind of Christ, and the Father's heart. Keep asking for wisdom, and Revelation, in relation to these things. Be but most of all, just being intimate. spend time alone with him. Check the places in your life where you're eating from the evil tree. And it all seems so good. And ask him to show you those places where you're doing religion, instead of Jesus. There is a place of breakthrough, there is a place where you can step into the supernatural, and you need it, you're going to really need it really fast. You do need it right now. We all need it. Right now we need to be able to stand in the fire, like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. We need to be able to pray for someone to have them get healed. What a concept. You know, these signs shall follow them that believed. Think of that statement first for a minute, these signs shall follow them that believe in my name, they will be with new tongues, they'll cast out demons. Right? they'll lay hands on the sick, they shall recover. If they take in any poisonous thing. It won't hurt them. You know, these signs shall follow them that believe. Well, people say well, I just don't believe that. Well, then they're not for you. You don't get them. So it's pretty simple. Yeah.Well then wrap this up in prayer then. I mean, that actually sounded like a great prayer right there. Yeah, really. Let's just close in prayer. And till next time,Yes, Lord, God, thank you so much for who you are and how you are. Thank you that you're not like us. Not even remotely like us except in the image. We're created in your image. Lord, we repent. We repent for being distracted. We repent on behalf of our nation, we stand in the gap. Lord, please have mercy. And lift your hand up judgment off our nation, Lord, and purge our ranks. Let the tears be harvested. But we repent order and for distraction. Let me interrupt this prayer for a minute. If there's any of you out there that don't know the Lord, you don't know Jesus. She never did that. He's a lot of Yeah, he's been chasing you your whole life and you know it. And you have now a sophisticated justification system. La la la la la la la. He's calling, he loves you, he's crazy about you, and he just wants you. And I want you to ask Him to forgive your sins. And they come into your life and be the Lord of your life. You can do it alone with him. You don't need me or anyone else to help you with that. But then find a place of fellowship, so that you can find out what's really in the instruction manual. Okay. Lord, coming back to this prayer, Lord, we ask that you would move by your Holy Spirit in and through and around your bride internationally. That you would rise within your believers rise up, both in and upon and descend upon your bride internationally that she the body of Christ would stand up. That is, your body would stand up your people would stand up and harvest them or make disciples and not be distracted by ministry or Madison and Avenue renditions of it, and that you would help us get back to intimacy with you and moving in the power. Pour out your spirit. Pour out your power, Lord, as you promised, that you would do in the last days pouring out your Spirit on all flesh, and that we might harvest the or edify our brothers and sisters and be a joy to your heart. Jojo Flores has been up to a whole lot since his last appearance on the show two years ago. It was right about that time he was visiting Manila and having dinner with us at Sugi. Flores told us then about this new thing he had launched. He called it PEOPL. A Sunday afternoon party that was different. "It's people without the 'e'," he said. It seemed only a few months later that we first heard about this new club that would emerge with the same name: PEOPL. It turns out Flores convinced the owners of club UN, where the weekly PEOPL. party was taking place to reopen the club destined for closure under its new name, and to bring him in as an active investor. The club would embody the same virtues that had made the Sunday party such a success. "It was for our people," says Flores. It was for the real lovers of music that come out just to listen and get lost in it, that "lose and refind themselves in the music." It was different in that it didn't attract the weekend crowd that may be there for the wrong reasons. The new club features paintings on the walls made by local artists that were for sale, it holds a yoga class every Tuesday evening, it even presents live jazz shows. It's a "boutique" club, according to Flores. Club PEOPL. turned one a few months ago. Here's to vision!
