Show host Chris O'Regan chats to Iván Expósito Sánchez and Josema Roig of Melbot Studios about the creation of Melbits World. Some may remember the 1990's how an Amiga game known as Lemmings took off and created a relatively long living franchise that only petered out in the mid 2000's. The appeal of guiding characters rather than directly controlling them remains, however, and Melbits World goes back to that mechanic but adds the dimension of local multiplayer to the experience that turns it into a very different game. While previously it was just you vs. the puzzle that was the level in Lemmings, with Mebits World it's you and 3 others triggering elements of a 3D world all via their mobile phones and tablets. For yes, Melbits World is part of the Playlink platform on the PS4, which has had a rocky start with some lacklustre titles with Melbits World being exception. 00:20:00 - Introductie Michael, Steef en Niels maken zich op voor een lange zit. Daarvoor is o.a. nodig: Bon Bon Bloc, Cola, Bowmore 12, een rechte stoel en een kussentje. Deze opname zou namelijk bijna 8 uur gaan duren. 00:05:40 - Game Talk Niels en Steef hebben vakantie gehad en hebben de laatste tijd veel kunnen gamen. Steef heeft met name veel de nieuwe expansion van Destiny 2 gespeeld (6:07) maar vermaakt zich er steeds minder goed mee door de praktijken van Bungee. Yooka-Laylee bevalt hem echter ook uitermate (20:00) en omdat ie dan toch zo lekker aan het platformen was pakte hij Shantae Half-Genie Hero (27:39) ook maar even mee. Tot slot had hij nog een goede tip voor Niels: speel het bordspel Gloomhaven (33:22). Niels speelde Jackbox Party Pack 3 (44:35) met familie en vrienden rondom Kerst en vertelt welke mini-games daarin de moeite waard zijn, en tijdens zijn vakantie speelde hij Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (58:23) in rap tempo uit. Voor Michael is het ook de eerste keer dat ie zich aan een Xenoblade titel waagt. Michael kreeg van Sony een setje PlayLink games toegestuurd (1:29:27) waaronder Knowledge is Power en Hidden Agenda. 01:47:17 - Secret Santa De drie vaste leden van het Button Bashers panel deden allen weer mee aan de Button Bashers Secret Santa actie. Zowel het geven als het ontvangen van cadeautjes was ook dit jaar weer enorm goed bevallen. Luister naar wat ze gekregen hebben maar ook naar wat ze gemaakt hebben, want Steef en Niels namen hun ontvangers flink te grazen.
