Jahr“ von 1955 – die Luft aus einem Schacht wirbelte ihr Kleid hoch. Marilyn Monroe – sie wäre am 1. Jun, 2026 100 Jahre alt geworden. Die tragische Ikone Holywoods, bürgerlich Norma Jean Mortenson, wächst über viele Jahre ihrer Kindheit in Heimen auf. Bei Ihrer Mutter wird Schizophrenie diagnostiziert. Marilyn Monroe hechelt durch eine steile Karriere, ist dreimal verheiratet, mit einem GI, einem Baseballstar und dem Dramatiker Arthur Miller. Ihr werden Affären mit John F. und Robert Kennedy nachgesagt. Marylin versinkt in einem Rausch aus Aufputschmitteln. 36 Jahre wird sie alt. Am 4. August 1962 wird Norma Jean Mortenson tot in Ihrer Wohnung in Kalifornien aufgefunden. Um ihren Tod ranken sich bis heute viele Gerüchte. 1982 dann die amtliche Todesursache: Marylin Monroe hat sich mit einer Überdosis Schlaftabletten selbst das Leben genommen.Was hat das alles mit der lebensgroßen Pappfigur vor meiner Medienagentur zu tun? Ich hatte eine Auflage des Büchleins „Gebet für Marylin Monroe“ des Kultusministers und Schriftstellers Ernesto Cardenal aus Nicaragua auf dem Tresen liegen. Den erstaunten Passanten schenkte ich jeweils ein Exemplar. Quando a Princesa-Eleitora da Saxônia e Rainha da Polônia Christiane Eberhardine morreu, em 4 de setembro de 1727, um estudante da Universidade de Leipzig chamado Hans Carl von Kirchbach teve a ideia de promover, às suas próprias custas, uma cerimônia póstuma em homenagem à rainha, que seria realizada na Igreja de São Paulo, ligada à Universidade de Leipzig. Tendo obtido da direção da universidade permissão para realizar a cerimônia, Kirchbach encomendou uma cantata para ser exibida durante o evento. Para compor a música, ele contratou Bach, que trabalhava em Leipzig havia então quatro anos. Quanto à letra da cantata, ele pediu para o conceituado escritor, crítico literário e professor da Universidade de Leipzig Johann Christoph Gottsched. O resultado desse empenho de Hans Kirchbach é a cantata Lass, Fürstin, lass noch einen Strahl, “Deixa, princesa, deixa ainda um raio” (BWV 198), que foi apresentada no dia 17 de outubro de 1727, na Igreja de São Paulo da Universidade de Leipzig. Composta de duas partes e dez movimentos, a cantata é exibida nesta edição de Manhã com Bach. Christiane Eberhardine era venerada na Saxônia - região de predomínio do protestantismo e onde o próprio reformador Martim Lutero havia introduzido a Reforma Protestante dois séculos antes - porque ela se recusara a se converter ao catolicismo quando o seu marido, o rei Augusto II, o Forte, foi eleito rei da Polônia, em 1697. Para assumir o trono polonês, Augusto precisou renunciar ao protestantismo e adotar o catolicismo, no que não foi seguido pela esposa. Como mulher do rei, Christiane Eberhardine recebeu o título de Rainha da Polônia, mas se recusou a comparecer à cerimônia de posse do marido, onde seria coroada, e jamais pôs os pés na Polônia, apesar de toda a insistência de Augusto. Com isso, ela se tornou um símbolo da resistência protestante contra o catolicismo e uma espécie de protetora dos protestantes, que temiam que Augusto II implantasse uma contra-Reforma na Saxônia. Originalmente, a letra composta por Gottsched era um poema com nove estrofes. Bach faz uma série de modificações nessa estrutura, separando versos e com eles criando recitativos, árias e coros. Não há registro da reação de Gottsched a essas alterações, mas é bem possível que o famoso escritor e professor não tenha ficado muito satisfeito em ver seu texto alterado. Lina Larissa Strahl ist Singer-Songwriterin, Schauspielerin und Synchronsprecherin. 2013 gewann sie den KiKA-Nachwuchswettbewerb „Dein Song“. Anschließend spielte sie die Hauptrolle in den vier Bibi-&-Tina-Filmen von Detlev Buck. Zu deren Soundtracks steuerte sie mehrere Songs bei und veröffentlichte 2016 ihr erstes Studioalbum. Auch ihre folgenden Alben erreichten die Top Ten, sie trat in ausverkauften Hallen auf. Dieser Erfolg in jungen Jahren hatte seinen Preis: Der Druck in diesem – wie sie es heute nennt – „Haifischbecken“ wurde irgendwann zu groß. Sie litt unter Panikattacken und einer Angststörung. On this episode we hear from Sofia. It was a female alumnus from her hotel school that inspired her to get into hospitality, because she wanted to be just like her. Her education was impacted by covid and had an interesting time entering the workforce, but as we will hear in her story, it all worked out. What started as a LinkedIn reach out because she was curious about how you run a pop-up hotel ended up her becoming co-founder of this business. And as a young co-founder she has recognised that she will need help and so she has created her own advisory board, which now also includes that same alumnus who inspired her to get into hospitality int he first place. While it has been a steep learning curve, what she has learnt is to embrace the unknow and be proud of what you are already capable of.

Ich habe noch nie in echt einen Radar gesehen, aber aus Filmen habe ich Erinnerungen, wie Spezialisten vor einem Monitor sitzen und dann gebannt auf den Bildschirmschauen und dort grüne Punkte sehen, die sichtbar werden, wenn kreisförmig ein Strahl in hoher Kadenz rotiert und diese Punkte dann eben sichtbar macht. Häufig ist es im Film dann spannend, weil es sich um einen feindlichen Angriff handelt oder sonst etwas Unerwartetes. Das Erkennen, dass da etwas in der Nähe ist, ist das eine, aber das andere, es auch korrekt zu identifizieren und dann entsprechende, passende Massnahmen einzuleiten. Fehlt der zweite Teil, könnten die eingeleiteten Massnahmen vielleicht sogar kontraproduktiv sein oder wirkungslos. Wir alle kennen das auch, dass wir nicht nur über den Verstand Dinge und Situationen wahrnehmen, die nicht gut sind. World leaders, business executives, activists, and delegates convene annually to discuss pressing climate change issues at the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change better known as COP. From November 6-20, 2022, COP marked its 27th year of negotiations and policy commitments, but this time at the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh. COP27 held high-level and side events, key negotiations, and press conferences, hosting more than 100 Heads of State and Governments, over 35,000 participants, and numerous pavilions showcasing climate action around the world and across different sectors. From corruption to famine, from the civil war to failing infrastructure, the urgency to address climate change continues to be on the back burner. Africa is far more likely to suffer the effects of global warming — some of which are already being felt. After years of resistance from rich governments, nations for the first time agreed to set up a fund to provide payouts to developing countries that suffer "loss and damage" from climate-driven storms, floods, droughts, and wildfires. Nevertheless, some electricity-poor nations in Africa argued for their right to develop their natural gas reserves, even as they face increasing climate impacts such as drought. Kaniu, founder and CEO of Strahel Composite think tank, on climate finance, climate reparations, and the future of climate change policy with the African Union.
