This program is for you if: • You work in the field of editorial cartooning and illustration, • You typically consider the “impact factor” in your editorial decisions (the actual effect of the piece, beyond the artistic expression) • You want to make sure your work is perceived as relevant, beyond the smile effect • You are looking for ways to differentiate yourself and be more strategic, • You are curious about what a new culture of change communications might look like, • You would benefit from an overview of the most relevant change communication tools in 2020/2021, • You want to streamline your work with more structure and a better sense of direction, without compromising on your intuitive and artistic approach, • You seek new sources of inspiration for your work, • You want to connect with other progressive cartoonists with similar interests. About Camille Duran: Camille Duran specializes in the fields of Change Psychology, Media, Culture & the Arts. He works internationally as a Campaign & Media Strategist, Investigative Researcher, Producer and Writer. He set up the Cosmic Foundation to facilitate collaboration between the impact sector, the Arts and influencers of culture, as well as to implement the latest research available in the field of change communications. Key themes that will be addressed during the program: • Beyond style: Cartoonist/Illustrator differentiation in a difficult media landscape, • Strategies & tactics that have had limited results or do not work anymore (and have they ever, beyond the symbolic?), • Learning lessons from neurobiology and neuroscience, compiled for the Editorial Cartoonist, • Dealing with the guilt factor in storytelling, • Mastering the subtle: where talents are most needed, and where the Artist excels! • A method to frame stories on root causes (vs. on symptoms) of the issue at hand, • Unifying vs. Polarising audiences, • Framings: Reactive vs. proactive, problem vs. solutions, local vs. global, • The "air time dilemma", • Dealing with “Media Drama Fatigue” while staying on point, • A method for adapting global “too big” stories to local & relevant framings that create engagement, • How this working group can trigger new experiments that will shape culture and transport other content producers into a new era.

I started out as a structural engineer in Dubai. Spent the last 20+ years in the US writing poetry, fiction, film scripts and marketing/branding/advertising copy. I realized pretty early that it wasn’t for me. While working on the Burj Al Arab Hotel, the second tallest hotel in the world, I came across a storyboard for a Nike spot they wanted to shoot Agassi and Sampras playing tennis on the helipad. And to shoot it all from a helicopter circling the helipad. I didn’t realize until that moment that you could get paid to come up with crazy stuff like that. I was hooked. That led me to coming to Boston to study marketing and advertising. For the past 20+ years I’ve worked as a copywriter/creative director with artists, advertising agencies, branding films, film production/post production companies, and clients directly in Amsterdam, Auckland, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Munich, New York and Portland.   FAVOURITE QUOTE TO SHARE WITH THE WORLD "An idea cannot be owned it belongs to anybody who understands it." -Sol LeWitt   ONE BOOK YOU SHOULD READ Your Heart is a Muscle the Size of a Fist by Suni Yapa   CONNECT WITH KAPIL Website Linkedin   CONNECT WITH SASHKA Facebook Instagram Pinterest Twitter LinkedIn   Want to be a guest on the podcast? Apply to be featured on the No Name Brand Podcast here.   SUBSCRIBE ON

TOPICS DISCUSSED IN THIS PODCAST EPISODE: (5:17) From natural health and wellness to essential oils (7:40) The essential oils are just the tools and not the pathway (9:48) Some essential oils are just not safe to use (12:12) When using yoga and meditation etc, can take a long time to rewire the brain (14:50) Women and men are riding on a scale of mild discomfort to great levels of pain (18:00) How the minor events in your life and how they are all interconnected (24:08) We heal through our senses HEAR MORE ABOUT MIKALENA KNIGHT: I started diving into my self-discovery journey in 2014 and became powerfully curious about exploring the deep dark depths of my emotions, fears, shadows and soul. That became a raging passion and over the years expanded into quantum healing, spiritual growth, the power of the heart, personal study in consciousness, Tantra, Shamanism, Feminine mysteries and beyond.  Whatever I was pulled towards I soaked up and applied to my own discovery process.  I use all that to help women who are on the same path – a self-discovery process triggered by a realization that we are longing for more, of realizing we have something powerful within us (perhaps up to this point unacknowledged), of beginning to choose to honour what is alive inside us, of moving into alignment and releasing their inner power so we can truly be free. Despite my many degrees in nursing and business and all my experience, none of my various jobs gave me what I really wanted – a flexibility so I could spend time with my son, control over my life and the opportunity to make more money. I wasn’t looking for much at first, just enough to bridge the gap so I didn’t have to work extra shifts, or a 3rd job. I knew the only way to have flexibility, control and opportunity together would be a start to my own business. I’ve spent the last decade building nursing businesses for myself and for friends and colleagues (coaching, consulting, courses, contracting, clinics) before creating the NursePreneur Business Adacemy – a one of a kind business mastery program uniquely for nurses.
